Experiencia negativa: I originally had left a 5-star review but am changing it to 1-star. This is the second time they have rescheduled my appointment just a few days before my appointment. The earliest they have been able to reschedule me both is 6 months out. Completely ridiculous. They called last week asking me to verify my insurance so I called back and they said it was a mistake and they meant to say they need to reschedule. How do you make that mistake? Would not recommend this place and am changing dentists immediately.

Experiencia negativa: I should have read the reviews more closely before I booked here. I scheduled an appointment for 4pm on Wednesday. I went in a half hour early to do my paperwork. 4:30pm rolls around and I finally get up and ask how much longer it's going to be because I am already a half hour past my appointment time. The lady tells me they were double booked all day because of a new scheduling system from corporate. I was annoyed because they had called me the DAY BEFORE to confirm the appointment with me and not once did they mention being double booked. So I told her I wanted to reschedule and she scheduled me for the next morning at 8:30am. When I booked this appointment I was very clear I want my routine cleaning and exam. I go back the next day and I'm the first patient. Great! The doc comes in immediately starts stinking tools and fingers in my mouth. He gives me my exam results then leaves. I sit there a few more seconds before his assistant takes my bib off and I was like "hey I still need my cleaning." Apparently they don't do cleanings same day?? The pricing consultant pulls me into the consultation room after the exam and explains they never do cleanings the same day as an exam, and also they only do cleanings at the South Point location. Two things they do not explain to you. Also, the cleaning is now not part of the annual exam so insurance won't cover it. They completely wasted my bi-annual insurance benefit and now I have to go to a real dentist and pay out of pocket for an exam and cleaning. Also the office is filthy. I should've walked out when I saw the State of the office when I walked in the first time.

Experiencia negativa: Called and scheduled an emergency dental visit. Was notified on arrival that it wasn't an actual emergency dental visit, and that it was a new patient orientation instead. They told me they would be able to fix the issue in 10 days.
We regret your experience didn't live up to expectations. When schedules allow, offices do make the effort to offer treatment same day, but it’s not always possible. An offices ability to do same day treatment does depend on the number of staff, patients, procedures they have on a given day as well as the treatment needing to be done. -The Customer Service Team

From start to finish, they really made me feel comfortable and well cared for. Dr. Juan Gonzalez was professional, friendly, and took the time to explain everything throughly. It didn’t feel rushed at all, the care I was given was attentive and informative. My hygienist Tanesha was wonderful! She was thorough and made the process really easy. She shared helpful tips that were easy to follow. The front office staff were fantastic too. Nicole was Paw De were welcoming, organized, and made scheduling and checking in a breeze. They were friendly and communicated clearly, which made the whole visit stress free. Overall I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better first visit. I felt respected as a patient and the care I received was excellent. I’m glad I chose this office!

Experiencia fantástica: After my daughter's cancer treatments were over and she was in remission, her teeth went bad. Aspen gave her dentures both upper and lower. What a great experience we had with Aspen. Everyone, especially the lab technician, Ashley. Everyone was kind and gentle with my daughter and her transformation to dentures. She is doing great. Experiencia negativa: Very poor experience. I made an appointment for teeth cleaning and exam. Made the appointment. With that being the reason stated. Today I get a text, the day before my cleaning, to update my insurance. So I call. They don’t clean your teeth before an exam. That’s another appointment. And they can’t get it scheduled until June. I’m glad I didn’t get there to find this information. They are not set up for new patients (unless you got your teeth cleaned the day you decide you want to change dentists). This dentist is expensive. I was asking about my daughter getting in with no insurance and the exam(evidently with no cleaning) is $350. I know for a fact I can get a cleaning with X-rays and a follow up with the dentist at another dentist in town that doesn’t except my insurance. And I’d rather pay the $180 cash than wait until June. It’s important to know that the people making the new patient appointments are not in the local office. The reception staff at the local office are not equipped with phone etiquette. The whole thing felt like a bait and switch scam. They ask about your dental history and when you call about the “cleaning” appointment, they ask about the things that you shared about your history. Buyer beware. It’s a big chain and they don’t care about your needs.

From there, the team is able to make recommendations and discuss options that meet one’s individual needs. Experiencia fantástica: I had SUCH a great experience here which is so rare at the Dentist. When I walked in, Paw De at the front desk greeted me with a big smile and made me feel truly welcomed. The dental assistant, Arely, took all my X-rays and was incredibly kind, patient, and focused on making sure I was comfortable the whole time. Honestly the best X-ray experience I’ve ever had. Dr. Gonzalez was phenomenal: thorough, quick, personable, and genuinely interested in my goals for my smile - beyond that, my overall health as a patient. He got me started on aligners right away, and I left feeling really confident about the plan. Nicole went over my financials and follow-ups and was so sweet and helpful in making sure everything was clear and worked with my schedule. Overall, the whole office is extremely friendly, clean, and professional. I would recommend Dr. Gonzalez and his team without hesitation!

Experiencia negativa: I left a review for the S27th street location, but I wanted to share something, and I guess it was too long and I couldn't post it and had to shorten it. So, I am going to share this here... I really want to say this because it needs to be said, when you have bad teeth, many assume bad things about you, like you are probably on drugs, or too lazy and dirty to brush your teeth. But let me share an insight, I have been trying to get dental care for my teeth since 1998, it was a reward to myself for giving up a 14-year cigarette habit. At that time, my teeth of course were stained from nicotine and needed a cleaning, basic care nothing more. I was told by that dentist a long line of expensive treatments I would be needing (I had no pain at that time) I told him I could not afford that, he told me "Well you can't afford not to", that was rejection #1, again no real issues at that time. I go another many years because that dentist left a bad impression , so it was 2011 when I tried again, went to a dentist , tried to get teeth cleaned and what I knew was a cavity because by then I did have some pain in a wisdom tooth , to which he wanted me to pay $12,000 according to him to place wiring behind my front bottom teeth to try and "save them" , but there was no guarantee. I was not there for issues with my front teeth, and he told me that if I didn't do that I would for sure lose my bottom teeth within a year. Well, we are now in 2025 before I tried again and now it's because my teeth have not been professionally cleaned in spite of my many attempts, and I am now losing my teeth (not in 2012 like that last Dentist predicted but in 2025 one at a time. And I have never used drugs I brush my teeth every day, but you see every time I went to a Dentist for help, they saw dollar signs not a person in need of care and I walked away feeling rejected, unworthy and hopeless. So next time you see a person with bad teeth, don't assume the worse. But maybe ask yourself, why do Dental practices tend to push expensive treatments on people that they can clearly see cannot afford it, and why is there no providers that genuinely care about the well-being of another human being and offer their services to those that can't afford the expensive treatments (rather needed or not). Not all of us are looking for hand-outs some of us are just looking for someone to give us a break, and as God says "Make a way, where there seems to be none "Isaiah 43:16. Because trust me when I say, I would love to have my smile back along with my confidence. And not have to feel less-than because I have to say, " I can't afford that "

Experiencia negativa: Everything is wrong about this place. I asked for prices and details prior to booking an appointment. The people who book your appointment have no idea what they’re talking about. I visited the O street location in Lincoln. After waiting 30 min for my appointment, they would not provide me with the care I asked for even after I was told by the doctor I could receive it regardless of my situation. I have never felt so pushed and corned into paying so much out my pocket, like they wanted to take advantage of me. Highly suggest you look elsewhere. This place was not welcoming or professional. I even over heard another patient was waiting past their appointment for the lab guy who didn’t show up to his “shift” on time? What a joke of a place.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely the best dental experience in 20 years. Very pleasant front desk staff, easy forms, very little wait time. Staff was very professional and thorough. The dentist was excellent. I found him to be honest, informative, and very open to options and timelines. He removed a bad tooth quickly, making certain I was totally numb before starting. I will be back and highly recommend this office on O street.

I've been so scared of the dentist since I was a kid and all the staff made me feel so comfortable and made me feel at ease and I feel confident with the care plan that we have laid out. Also, they don't judge on the state of what your teeth look like or your smile looks like. Their main focus is to give you back that smile that you are missing and that you want with no judgment. Experiencia negativa: I started going to Aspen Dental in Lincoln, Nebraska on April 23, 2025, and what happened after has been one of the worst experiences of my life. They pulled six of my wisdom teeth (I had extra), and afterward, I started feeling horrible pain in my right side—the same side where most of the teeth were removed. Shortly after the procedure, I became extremely ill and was diagnosed with C. diff, a dangerous and life-threatening infection. I was hospitalized and had to take strong antibiotics just to survive. It was an incredibly traumatic and painful time. When I finally recovered and went back one month later, instead of showing concern or even acknowledging what I had been through, they told me I needed to pay even more for a molar they missed completely in my first appointment. No care. No responsibility. Just more bills and stress after nearly losing my life. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. If you care about your health and peace of mind, stay away from Aspen Dental in Lincoln. They don’t treat people like patients—they treat them like a paycheck.

Experiencia negativa: Very easy to get appointment, no dentist in town will accept my insurance but Aspen did. All the staff were very nice. I’ve never had so many X-ray; very thorough and Dr. K is really good at explaining everything. I’m getting work done I never thought I’d get. EDIT: I’m being billed a year after they did work. Pretty much everything they did were things I didn’t ask for but they said insurance would cover it. I guess it didn’t & last time I went in for a cleaning they charged $84 and told me I owe $92 for last March!! I made a fuss & 2 different people told me they’d write that off and then they sent a bill for it . The next month I got a bill for over $700 from March 2024. I’d never received a bill from them till April of this year. Fortunately for me I found another dentist who won’t try to rob me.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible. First they overcharge and for almost a year now after my visit they still haven’t billed my insurance. Stating I have to pay it myself. Very frustrating. Got threatened to be sent to collections even though they are the ones who won’t bill my insurance. My insurance is in network and will full cover my visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Such friendly, helpful people here! I began going to Aspen 5 years ago after not having dental care for several years. I had multiple cavities and needed a mouth guard to protect my teeth, and also prescription toothpaste to help enamel wear and tooth sensitivity. I am happy to report 5 years later, my teeth are in great shape, no cavities, reduced sensitivity, and healthier enamel!

And they would only do an X-ray then schedule my cleaning 3-4 month out when the hygienist is back? Not sure why they don’t have a hygienist at a dental office.

Experiencia negativa: The dentist was nice and informational, but the front staff at the desk was not. A month after getting service done. They sent me a bill of 200+ dollars. When I was there for service they told me an amount that I owe and I paid it. I paid half before treatment and the other half after treatment. They told me I didn’t owe anything else when I was there. But then they send me a letter in the mail that I owe them money. Maybe training your employees better and having them call the insurance company to make sure that there is coverage like other doctors do, will help improve your patient experience and attendance.

Experiencia fantástica: i had an amazing experience! i was having the worst tooth pain of my life. at first they didn’t have an appointment available until the next morning but 30 minutes later they called me back and they were able to get me in the same day that i called and was able to extract my tooth on the same visit to relieve my pain. they all were so nice and friendly. they explained everything very good and answered all my crazy questions. i was freezing and shaking after the numbing process so they offered me a blanket and covered me up during the procedure! they were so gentle with my mouth during the x-rays and the procedure knowing the pain i was in. i highly recommend aspen dental !

Experiencia positiva: Dishonesty people : scheduling me for a regular cleaning with provider who are not on on my insurance network in order to make me pay from my pocket. I paid them excess money, they promised to refund my money since June 2024, they never do, every one have a different answer to give me. Crooks, best way to describe these people. So dishonesty and just take advantage of people.

The treatment plan they got me was expensive but I figured this was going to fix my teeth it would be worth it. But I have insurance so out of pocket cost was just shy of $3000 and come to find out just before they started the work that the broken teeth where not even included in the bill and that I would need to go see an ortho of root canals and I was paying for teeth cleaning and 2 cavities to be filled. I walked home crying because I felt so defeated because for the first time in 2 years I thought I was finally going to be pain free and be able to eat a regular diet again but instead I end up wasting time and money on something that didn’t even help me. Plus they charged me for a $200 tooth brush and water floss pick that I did ask for or told that I would be paying for

The doctor, hygienist, as well as assistant made me feel welcome and gave me the BEST cleaning I’ve ever had. Didn’t poke my gums but I walked out feeling very clean and excited to come back!

Experiencia negativa: extremely long wait. I waited 20 min past my appointment time in the waiting room, and then a whole hour in sitting in the dentist chair before the dentist came over to talk to me. almost every single person working there seemed new. I wasn't given all the information of what to expect before my visit so I was blindsided by a few things. Takes forever to get an appointment, you have to schedule so far out in advance that you can't stick to a regular cleaning schedule.

Experiencia negativa: There is a crack in my partial, set up an appointment to have it repaired. Come to find out the warranty is only for 6 months. Now they want to charge me $300 just to add acrylic to a hair line split. This is ridiculous!! Also most likely won’t be done the same day so I can work! Then lose $200 for the day not working!!! Wow! I will never be back or recommend anyone to Aspen Dental!!! Very poor business!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful caring staff. Very professional and knowledgeable. Dr Caitlin offered to stay late and pull my tooth when I was just some random walk-in with a toothache. The entire staff was very nice and accommodating when I needed help. I wasn’t a patient before but will be from now on.

Experiencia negativa: While Dr. Kathy was nice. 41000 dollars for dentures that snap in and out is crazy talk. When I started with I DON'T WANT DENTURES. they then failed to remove my broken tooth or clean my teeth as expected. Joke. I would not recommend.

Experiencia negativa: If I could rate any lower, I would. I went in to see about getting a full mouth extraction and dentures, as my teeth are decaying at a rapid rate and I get cavities easy. Everything was fine until I met with the doctor, who kept PUSHING that she wanted to restore my teeth as there are still some good ones. I expressed that I was set in wanting them all gone as I don't want to forstall a long process of constant visits and she blantantly ignored my wishes. My wife and I waited a while to see her and this is what we get? And, to drive a further point home, one of the receptionists came back and told us that "she doesn't want to see you if you aren't going to follow her plan." Terrible place, I will never return here and I advise everyone the same. We took the day off to get this done and it was a waste of our time.
