Experiencia fantástica: The BEST endodontic office you could ever find! If you need a root canal, look no further! Dr. Farshad is truly the best, the GOAT! He’s the most amazing endodontist I’ve ever met. The office has the latest technology, exceptional service, the friendliest staff (especially the front desk coordinator, Seal, who was incredibly kind and welcoming), and very reasonable pricing. My root canal was done beautifully. The entire procedure was fast, completely painless, and stress-free. I also had a tiny root canal that was difficult to locate, but Dr. Farshad was incredibly meticulous and made sure it was thoroughly treated. His attention to detail and expertise gave me so much confidence throughout the entire process. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this office. If I could give them 1,000 stars, I absolutely would!!! I highly, highly recommend Dr. Farshad and his team to anyone looking for an exceptional endodontist. I’ll be recommending them to all of my family and friends!

Experiencia negativa: I had an appointment scheduled for 9:00 AM with Dr. Farshad Seyedein after being referred by another doctor. Before getting a CT scan, I wanted to speak with the doctor first. The staff told me the doctor was busy and asked me to come back at 10:00 AM. I returned at 10:00 and waited until 10:30 without being seen, while several patients who arrived later were taken into treatment rooms. When I asked why I was still waiting despite having the first appointment of the day, I was told that because I wanted to speak with the doctor first, I would have to wait until a room became available. What made this especially frustrating is that I was simply trying to get basic information before paying approximately $300 for a CT scan. I wanted the doctor to examine my teeth and explain the overall process for treating two teeth that might need root canals, including how long the treatment process would take. After all the waiting, I was told that if root canal treatment was needed, they would first have to obtain insurance authorization, which could take about two weeks. I felt that my appointment time was not respected and that communication was poor. After waiting for a long time without seeing a doctor or receiving answers directly from a doctor, I decided to leave and seek care elsewhere.

Experiencia fantástica: I had root canal treatments on two teeth about 15 years ago, but unfortunately the original work was not done properly. Over time, both teeth developed infections. I consulted several dentists and endodontists, and most of them recommended extraction followed by implants. Thankfully, I was referred to Dr. Seyedein at Tustin Endodontics. During my first visit in 2024, he carefully evaluated my condition and explained that he could attempt root canal re-treatment, while being honest that outcomes can never be guaranteed. I decided to proceed, and the results for the first tooth were excellent. Recently, I returned to have the second tooth retreated, and once again, Dr. Seyedein exceeded my expectations. He took the time to clearly explain every step of the procedure, and the entire process was smooth and completely painless. The office staff is professional, welcoming, and well-organized. I also found the cost of treatment to be very reasonable compared to other offices I had visited. I truly appreciate Dr. Seyedein’s expertise, honesty, and high-quality care. Experiencia negativa: This was a very disappointing and unacceptable experience. My mom went to this endodontist for a serious tooth infection and was charged $300 for X-ray so they could submit a prior authorization (PA) to insurance. For over 3 weeks, I repeatedly follow up for my mom, only to be told they were "waiting" while the insurance confirmed they had not received anything. When a request was finally submitted, it was denied because the X-ray image was unclear - something that should never happen from a professional office. As a result, my mom has been left in pain and now has to restart the entire process after wasting time and money. This shows a serious lack of organization, communication, and basic professional responsibility. We will not be returning and strongly do not recommend this office.

Since I grind my teeth, I’m used to jaw soreness, but this felt different. I was very anxious about possibly needing a root canal. The procedure was completed over two visits, both of which were completely painless. Dr. Seyedein and his staff were attentive throughout, consistently checking to ensure I was comfortable. The first phase involved removing the previous filling and administering antibiotics directly into the root canal and surrounding gum tissue. I was prescribed antibiotic medication, and when I returned two weeks later, the infection was gone. Dr. Seyedein also utilized newly acquired laser technology to confirm that the infection was eliminated, which gave me additional confidence in the outcome. The second phase involved rebuilding my back molar, including constructing structural support and placing a crown. Although it sounded complex, the procedure was completed efficiently and seamlessly. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Seyedein and his entire team for their expertise and compassionate care. I also want to acknowledge the reception and billing staff, who clearly explained what would be covered by insurance versus out-of-pocket costs. The entire office is professional and well-managed. They were able to get me in the same day we called, which I really appreciated. When I arrived, I was seen by the insurance coordinator. She was very kind and helped me resolve an issue with my insurance. After a quick call with Cigna and getting my referral accepted, the dental assistants brought me back to begin X-rays and scanning. I immediately noticed that everything was state of the art and the entire team was wearing clean medical coats. I saw Dr. Aza, who was very professional. She reviewed my X-rays with me and clearly explained the procedure and what to expect. Throughout the painless process, she and her assistant frequently checked to make sure I was comfortable and not experiencing any pain. The entire operation from front office, xray, assistants, billing are the best I have ever encountered. In addition to the exceptional skill level, Dr. Seyedein uses all of the latest technology. As a comparison, I had a consultation for one of my retreats by another endodontist in the same complex, Dr. Mehta, and had a horrible experience even making a complaint to the dental board. Experiencia positiva: Edit: After posting my original review, the doctor reached out to me directly. He apologized for my experience, explained the situation, and offered a refund for the scan fee. I appreciated that he took the time to follow up. Although my initial visit was difficult, I want to acknowledge that the office handled my concerns professionally afterward. The follow-up showed that they do care about patient feedback. —— I was referred here for a root canal consultation, but unfortunately my experience was not positive. When I came in, I was surprised to learn that my insurance would not cover the consultation or scan, and the cost was much more expensive than I expected. When I expressed concern, the front desk staff did not show any empathy and even commented that my insurance was not something she “considers to be real insurance due to low coverage”. This made an already stressful situation feel much worse. After my scan, the doctor confirmed that I needed a root canal, but the interaction was very brief. When I tried asking questions, the doctor’s responses felt defensive rather than reassuring, which made me uncomfortable. At that point, I stopped asking further questions and left, knowing the procedure was necessary. I was originally scheduled for the procedure 10 days later, but when my pain became unbearable, I called to request my scan so I could find another provider who could treat me sooner. Suddenly, I was told they could see me earlier after all. The timing of this change made me feel that my care was not the primary focus, and it left me uncomfortable moving forward with treatment at this office. I ended up going to another endodontist who saw me the following morning and provided a much more compassionate and comforting experience. I am sharing this so future patients know what to expect. Clear communication and empathy would have made a significant difference. For a procedure as stressful and costly as a root canal, empathy and transparency are essential. Unfortunately, I did not feel either here, and I would not feel comfortable returning.

Dr. Seyedein gave me all the information so I could make an informed decision. It was a 50/50 chance he would be able to save my tooth. The actual procedure was painless. The whole office made me feel comfortable and at ease. Every thing went well and he was able to save my tooth. I am thoroughly impressed with their professionalism both in the front office and all the dental hygienists. I would 100% recommend if you are looking for a new dentist office.

Experiencia negativa: Extremely rude business if your not capable of affording their specific plan they will guilt trip and condescend to you as if you are trying to do something medically immoral. An extraction is always an option and there is NOTHING wrong with opting for an extraction. To be treated as if your picking a morally incorrect option simply for asking a question regarding extraction is absurd and shameful even if I do have to get a root canal I will not do it hear simply because of how I was treated. This office then proceeded to post a completely insincere copied and pasted response to my review. Of course I am not in your patient list we went elsewhere for service after how we were treated by your front office employees.

Experiencia fantástica: I just had my first root canal and I was happy I chose to come here. The communication prior, during, and after the procedure was everything I could ask for. Dr. Farshad Seyedein and his team were able to ease some stress/nerves I had going into this for the first time. I hope to never do it again, but if I do, I will be coming back. Thank you!

Experiencia negativa: I cannot recommend this endodontist because he left me in pain for a long time after a re-treatment. I went back to him after waiting over a week for the pain to subside, and all he offered was that he could remove the existing crown and maybe that would help. This did not seem right, because removing the crown would leave the very small tooth nub exposed. Seems like that would cause pain too, so I went to a general dentist to get his opinion. The general dentist decided the crown was too high and I was possibly grinding my teeth at night. He reduced the height of the crown and the pain finally abated. This endodontist also bills you al la carte. What I mean is, last time I needed a root canal I was quoted one price for everything: first visit, x-rays, root canal, and at least one follow-up if needed. All of my prior root canals with other dentists have gone so well I never needed a follow-up with the endodontist. It seems like Dr. S. was trying to get me to go back to his office was just a way to bill me another $400 for an office visit. It is horribly unethical for any dentist to leave patients in needless pain for weeks and then advise them to do something that may cause more pain. Avoid this practice. They only care about money, not people.

Experiencia fantástica: I was referred to Tustin Endodontics for a root canal while 7mos pregnant. It was considered urgent and they fit me in the same day. It was my first one and I was very nervous. Dr. Seyedein was so caring and reassuring from the moment I met him. He is extremely professional, kind, and an expert at what he does. You are truly getting quality care with him. At my request, he kept me informed of what he was doing throughout the treatment and how much he had left to do. He was fast yet thorough which eased my nerves a lot. After the procedure he called to check on how I was doing. I feel he brings a level of care to his practice that isn’t seen so much anymore. I would definitely recommend Dr. Seyedein and return if I need anything done in the future.

I felt like I was in very good hands as they constantly asked me if I was okay or needed anything. I thought I would be there for hours but the procedure was relatively quick and took less than an hour. Doctor Seyedein made sure I understood everything that was going on. I was also impressed by the technology they use for X-rays and other things; it is very advanced. They had a camera inside my tooth to be able to see my roots. Experiencia fantástica: They were great! I am afraid of the dentist and they didn’t make me feel silly about it, they were very patient and kind. I hope I never need another root canal but if I do I’d go here. I don’t love the required CT scan and xrays, I try to avoid a lot of radiation and I already had X-rays at my dentist the same day, but it’s their job and not much you can do to avoid it.

Experiencia fantástica: Found out I needed two root canals after losing the filling in one tooth and the filling cracking in the other. Sought out to find a doctor who was A+ to minimize pain and get excellent results, as most peoples experiences say root canals suck. Can’t speak about other doctors as I’ve never had one before, but Dr. Seyedein is A+++. The only time I had ever had “slight” discomfort is when he injected the inner portion of the gums inside the teeth to numb before the procedures. Other than that I never felt a thing, no complaints here glad I found him. He is quick and efficient. I hope I never need another root canal but when I do, he’s the real deal i’ll come back to and recommend. Thank you again!

Experiencia fantástica: I was terrified to have not one but two root canals. The first appointment was the assessment; the second appointment was the procedure. The doctor was very kind and patient. For two root canals the process was completed in less than an hour. Once the Novocaine wore off, I forgot I had a root canal. The whole process was amazing. The doctor and his entire staff were wonderful. What a huge relief.

Experiencia fantástica: I went in for a root canal on 4/21. The whole treatment was efficient and painless. I waited for maybe 2 mins in the lobby. The Endodontist was so caring and made sure the treatment was as painless as possible and I was as comfortable as possible. He checked in with me through the whole treatment and updated when I’d be done.

Dr. Seyedein’s bedside manner was superb, and I felt comfortable the whole time as he communicated everything he was doing, checked into make sure I wasn’t feeling any pain and made special accommodations for things I needed without my even having had to ask. He administers the anesthesia in steps which made for a much more pleasant experience than one had in the past, and he was able to perform my root canal on the day I scheduled my consultation. Recovery has been a breeze compared with that of root canals I’ve had done elsewhere. Five stars all around for Tustin Endodontics.

Experiencia fantástica: - 1st Root Canal Retreatment I was referred to Dr Seyedein by my dentist for an infected root canal. I was very grateful that they scheduled an appointment for me immediately. The doctor did an exam and was able to determine that the root canal was infected and he explained everything to me in detail, including what needed to be done. The following appointment was the repair in which I got the dates mixed up and showed up a day early. I was ready to come back the next day, but they fit me into the schedule to repair the root canal. I suffer from chronic facial pain and it causes intense dental anxiety. Dr Seyedein was putting me at ease the whole time he was working on my tooth. It kept the axiety at a minimum. I am incredibly grateful for his and his staffs' compassion and professionalism. He is the fourth endodontist I have seen and by far the best one. - 2nd Root Canal Retreatment I had another reinfected root canal, different tooth. I went to my dentist for a routine exam, where my dentist noticed a lump on my gums next to tooth #3. Upon examining the area and the dental X-rays, it was determined that I had another reinfected root canal. Due to bone loss and the depth of the root canal, my dentist recommended extraction. Also, since my other conditions such as TMJ and facial nerve issues, I really wanted to do something less drastic than extracting the tooth. I had Dr Seyedein examine the tooth to see if it could possibly be saved. He showed me the X-ray showing the infected area. In his opinion there was a good possibility the tooth could be saved. So we setup an appointment to have the retreatment done. He performed a complex root canal retreatment and needless to say, everything went well, same as the first time I had a root canal retreated by him. He is incredibly attentive, responsive and compassionate. During the repair, I was given breaks and was asked if I was comfortable. I eventually needed a bite block and when I asked for one, I was promply given one. His staff is incredibly friendly, professional and very competent. There was no wait for the consultation and treatment. He was the first person I thought of when I was told that the tooth needed to be extracted. I am extremely grateful that the procedure was a success and my tooth was saved. I would 100% go back to Dr Seyedein if I had another issue needing endodontic treatment.

After being in pain for almost a week and going to several different dental offices I was lucky enough to land at Tustin Endodontics. Since my appointment (that they squeezed me into last minute) was at 430pm I really thought i was going to be asked to come back since i needed a root canal. Nope. They were so caring and compassionate seeing how I was in pain they made time for me, taking care to ask several times if I was doing OK through the entire process, from x rays to the actual root canal. The doctor and hygienist (I'm so sorry I don't remember her name but she was so sweet and caring) stayed late to make sure I didn't spend another day in pain. By FAR the best experience I have ever had at a dentist. Also the least painful procedure I've ever experienced. Definitely recommend! Edit: I forgot to mention, they even called me today to make sure that I was feeling better and didn't have any issues from the procedure! Top notch office all around.
