Experiencia fantástica: I love Caldwell Dental! the previous dentists were fine, but the new doctors that took over are awesome and made the transition very smooth. My hygienist is gentle and very efficient during my cleanings, usually under an hour. A special shout out to medical assistant Kimberly for explaining insurance complexities. She even called my insurance to inquire about orthodontic procedures that aren’t even done in their office. Thanks guys for your professionalism! Update as of 10/16 Big shout out to Vik and Kimberly! Kimberly for her awesome customer service and overall attitude, and Vik for always doing a great clean but yet gentle when he does! Keep up the great work

Dr Ty and Dr Sue were great (now retired) and they passed the torch to the Kim’s. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Caldwell Dental and most recently under the care of Dr. Charles Kim. He’s great! All the staff is wonderful. Highly recommend.

I do however get procedures done with great help from Dr Jon and Dr Charles. Iv sedation is a great way to prevent stress and I have used this to get teeth pulled, deep cleaning and a bridge. They are patient with me and work with me on different issues I have had. The office staff has been great also and very pleasant. The hygienist does a great job and is patient with me. I can't say enough about this place. I highly recommend it.

They truly worked as a team throughout my treatment. I had a lot of dental work done in one day—a root canal, wisdom teeth extractions, and several fillings—and they made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process and that everything was completed successfully. What I appreciated most was the care even after the procedures. Dr. Charles scheduled two post-op checkups to make sure everything was healing properly and that I was doing well. I never felt rushed and genuinely felt that they cared about my recovery. Thank you to Dr. Charles, his assistant, and the Caldwell Dental team for making what could have been a stressful day much easier and more comfortable. It was truly a team effort, and I highly recommend them!

He gave me honest, straightforward advice and took the time to explain all of my options without making me feel pressured into any unnecessary treatments.The location is incredibly convenient for me since it is within walking distance from my house. On top of that, the entire office experience was wonderful. The dental assistant and Kimberly at the front desk were incredibly welcoming, nice, and helpful from the moment I walked in. My first experience at Caldwell Dental was fantastic as stated above. I thought that they went above and beyond. I went back for a cleaning in February also had a good experience, had another appointment booked for June that I canceled due to a receptionist reaching out to me and telling me that I needed unnecessary mouth work done. Experiencia negativa: I’ve been going to Caldwell dental for the past five years now. Most likely will not be going back or would not recommend them to do a root canal. I had a bad experience. The first attempt of the root canal was not done right and there was some pain after it was done. Next they recommended me to a Specialist to redo Another root canal. After it was done the second time they noticed it was not done right again and recommended to get my tooth removed and to be replaced With an implant. That implant would cost me $6000 out of my pocket and they ruined my tooth that was worked on twice.

I had no pain and the tooth felt as though it had never been replaced because it was such a perfect fit. She educated me along the way and we laughed. I am very satisfied with how the ladies at the front desk answers all of my questions and am grateful with how the Doctor and their helping hand are efficient.

Experiencia negativa: Advocate for yourself and get a second opinion. I went for a routine cleaning and exam and left with a long list of cavities, gum problems and other procedures they said were needed. I also wanted to replace a lower permanent retainer and was told new molds and X rays were needed making the replacement over $500, I got it done by a local reputable orthodontist for $95. Throughout the exam they were upselling additional treatment like fluoride and when I asked if it was extra, Dr. Mina responded impolitely. I was concerned about having so many cavities as diagnosed by Dr. Mina and got two other dentist opinions (which I paid for) and both said I had no cavities. I haven’t had a cavity in over 20 years so I thought it was strange that I suddenly had so many after visiting Caldwell. Definitely get a second opinion and advocate for yourself. Unnecessary drilling and repairs in your mouth has financial and health consequences. The way I was responded to when questioning their diagnosis made me feel this is a for profit versus what is best for the patient business.

Experiencia negativa: "Unnecessary Procedures and Poor Services - Not Recommended" I was a regular patient at Caldwell Dental for a year because it was close by. However, my recent experience on 10/7 has completely changed my view. I visited due to a loose wisdom tooth, and Dr. Mina informed me I needed a 3D CAD scan before extraction—an additional $315 out-of-pocket expense not covered by insurance. Being my first extraction, I trusted that this scan was necessary and consented to it. The treatment plan also included sedation along with local anesthesia, which seemed excessive, but I trusted their guidance. After discussing with family who had similar procedures without 3D scans or sedation, I began to question the necessity. I requested my records and was given only an incomplete X-ray (that didn’t even include the problem tooth) and no CAD scan file provided. A second opinion with another dentist confirmed my concerns: they extracted my tooth in two minutes with only an X-ray and local anesthesia, for just a $75 copay. When I called Caldwell Dental to express my grievances and request a refund, Dr. Jay Um dismissed my concerns, stating he "holds himself to the highest standards." Instead of addressing my issues, he gaslighted me, suggesting that I should’ve known to refuse the procedure. He even hung up on me when I questioned whether this was a profit-driven approach. If you value straightforward, necessary care, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. It feels like they prioritize upselling unnecessary procedures over patient care. So disappointing and frustrating.

Experiencia negativa: Nothing to complain about their services, but watch out for their cancellations fees. If you don't do it 48 hs in advance, you'll be stabbed in the back with a USD 50.00 cancellation fee being delivered to your place months after the fact

Experiencia negativa: Very pushy for x-rays, and not great staff they have really changed since owners retired and change of administration. Would not recommend! They sent me an extra bill with no information about why I am being charged extra. Would definitely not recommend after Ty and Susan left it has drastically changed for worse.

Experiencia positiva: My experience with the front staff and dentists have been good up until today. I was scheduled for a "consult" with the periodontist and was scheduled to come in at 10a. I arrived on time and waited around 25 minutes to see someone, while I heard staff having a meeting elsewhere in the clinic. No other patients were in clinic. At the end of 25 mins, I was given consent forms for the procedure I was scheduled to have (next week), they took my blood pressure, and then the appointment was over. I did not get to see the periodontist or discuss the upcoming procedure with anyone. Instead, I waited 20 minutes to sign 2 forms. I don't know why I was asked to come in, why I waited, and why this could not have been done online. At the end of the appointment, I was asked if I had a flexible schedule and if I could come back in if I wanted to speak with the doc. I said no, doc needs to call me. Such a waste of my time. Front staff need to be briefed on what these "consults" actually are because I had called last week to clarify what the appointment was for. Turns out for something I could have done over the phone or online. I'll continue to go back for care but I just wanted to highlight poor office/patient practices that they could change.

Experiencia fantástica: First I want to say thank you to the staff for being so welcoming and open about all procedures needed. With a son who is special needs, he is very nervous and always asks a lot of questions. All staff members were willing to accommodate his needs. Every procedure we have had the staff has cared about how we feel and what we experience. I highly recommend coming to Caldwell Dental. Amazing experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Tina is my dental hygienist and she's very patient when I come in for treatment. Great personality! The practice is very clean and up to date with the most recent technology. Highly recommendable.

Experiencia negativa: Got my wisdom teeth pulled. Quick and easy ! Dr jay was amazing. I have to add to this . I continued to get work done here after my wisdom teeth. They cracked one of my molars during a small cavity fix. Now my tooth is worst than when I first came. Business was awesome when Dr sue & Ty Caldwell were there. Now I just don’t know. They also tried to tell us my husband had 1200 worth of work to be done on his teeth. We went to a different dentist recommended by friend and family & guess what he definitely didn’t have 1200 dollars worth of work needed. So it just seems a bit scammy. I was a patient with them for atleast 10 years & I don’t really trust this place anymore. They also told us we were in network, later for us to find out we weren’t … didn’t find out until after my husband came in for his cleaning/checkup & after I got all my work done.
