She makes sure her patients are scheduled for and receiving excellent care between annual checkups. She changed my life after I retired. Other dentists and orthodontists thought I was too old for orthodontia. She did not. She saw my desire to stop how aging was impacting my teeth. My case was a challenge because I had been in an accident at age 10 that cracked my lower jaw from the chin up. There was no treatment for it then. I forgot about until I was 60yo, when my lower teeth began pushing my front 8 teeth into each other. It was painful. I couldn't find an orthodontist who would or could stop the inevitable which meant losing all 8 front teeth teeth. Dr. Hong contacted an outstanding orthodontist, Dr. Berro, in Los Alamitos. I had to lose my lower 4 front teeth before starting orthodontia. That was the start of the best journey toward a lovely smile. It took a couple of years with Dr. Berro to fix everything. He's amazing. He stopped all of the pain in my lower jaw and corrected my bite and straightened my upper and lower teeth. Dr. Hong helped me as much mentally as she did dentally (did I just made up that word?). I was soooo depressed about my situation. She wasn't. It all came to an incredibly happy ending when she designed my lower front teeth (implants) and put them in. Unbelievably comfortable, beautiful, masterpieces. I cried in my car for half an hour after leaving her office, looking in my mouth at the teeth she created. She said, "It's never too late to have beautiful teeth." Dr. Hong is also the dentist for my adult sons. We have our teeth cleaned 3 times a year. She is an extraordinary dentist and takes great pride in her work. I take even more pride in her work. I'm grateful and in her debt (emotionally speaking ).

I would definitely recommend JJ Family Dental for your dental needs. Dr. Hong is very detailed and thorough when completing her oral exam after getting your x rays completed. I would say that no other dentist has informed me better of my current dental history than how Dr. Hong explained it to me. My hygienist, Kaily, was thorough with my cleaning. As always, I was told that I need to floss more often and it would prevent tartar buildup and make my cleanings a lot easier. Give JJ Family Dental a try!

Experiencia negativa: I went for my cleaning today and the dentist came in and told me I needed to get x-rays. I explained I’m still breastfeeding and she asked how old my child was then asked when I was planning to stop nursing and I told her I am allowing my daughter to decide that. She told me she wouldn’t clean my teeth without doing x-days, did not even give me the option to sign an AMA (against medical advice) and said to come back when I was done nursing. I will never be going here again. I took the time off work and set up childcare for her to waste my time. This is unfortunate because the staff is very friendly.
