Experiencia fantástica: I have no complaints with the service I received yesterday. That is weird considering I had a root canal but everything went smoothly. From ensuring I felt no pain to calming conversations throughout the procedure, the process lessened the fear of going to see a dentist.

Experiencia negativa: I have been a patient with this dental group for years, so it is very disappointing to have to leave this review. Unfortunately, my recent experience with the front office was extremely unprofessional. The younger woman at the front desk, who I believe is Angelica, had a noticeable attitude and was very snappy. She came across as if she did not enjoy her job and it reflected in how she spoke to me. The front office staff could definitely benefit from additional training in professionalism and customer service. When I arrived for my appointment, an older woman at the front desk went over my treatment pricing before I was called back. However, she failed to mention that I supposedly had a “balance” on my account. It was not brought up until I was checking out to pay for my treatment. When I asked what the balance was for, she did not know. It took nearly 20 minutes, and she was still unsure. She then stated it was for a “no call, no show” appointment. The issue is that I have never been scheduled at this particular office before this visit. My last appointment was with Dr. Blake at the Ahwatukee office. When I asked what appointment this fee was for, no one could provide an answer. They even read out a phone number they claimed they had been calling, and it was not my number. To make matters worse, the day before my scheduled visit (Thursday), I drove all the way to the office only to be told the hygienist was not there. No one called to inform me beforehand, and the staff admitted that no call had been made. Because I was told the balance could not be removed, I ended up paying both for my treatment and for this unexplained “old balance,” without being given a clear explanation or date of service. I asked to speak with a manager about having the late fee waived, and I was told the manager was not in and that she would speak to her on Monday. As I was getting into my car, the staff member literally came outside to tell me my payment “didn’t go through” because a receipt did not print. I had to get out of my car and go back inside. I immediately contacted AMEX, and they confirmed the payment was pending. The office then asked me to swipe my card again. I explained I was not comfortable doing that since AMEX confirmed the transaction was pending. I have paid at the Chandler office before, and when payments showed pending, it was never an issue. The younger woman (Angelica) was again rude and snappy when I declined to swipe my card a second time. I offered that if for any reason the payment did not post by Monday, I would swipe it again since I would be returning to speak with the manager anyway. Additionally, I had to ask for my treatment plan paperwork that Dr. Bobby sent to the front. It was simply handed to me without any explanation of what I would be paying. I would very much like to speak with a manager. I have been a loyal patient for years, and the way I was treated made me extremely uncomfortable. I do want to note that my hygienist and Dr. Bobby were both excellent and professional. My concerns are strictly with the front office staff and how this situation was handled.

Experiencia negativa: Update: They sent an email saying I now owe $23. When I called, the lady said I did a panoramic scan that was not covered. No one mentioned this on the day of the appointment. She kept trying to say I came back to see the oral surgeon. I ended the call because I had a meeting. I called this number that was provided and asked to speak with the practice manager. I then informed her that I was given this number based on a review and now calling because I saw the charge. She looked up the account and said she would waive the charge however, if I went to next dentist, they will not be emailing the x-ray because I didn’t pay for it. Okay, who cares. I then mentioned that I got this number from leaving the review, her response was “I’m sure it was fabulous” in a very sarcastic tone. Overall that call didn’t make the experience better. There’s nothing gentle about this dental office. I don’t even write reviews but this experience just had to be shared. ********************** I came here for a simple extraction due to severe pain in one tooth. After providing my insurance information, I was presented with a treatment plan for a full set of X-rays and asked to sign it, even though that was not the reason for my visit. I had to advocate for myself and request a limited exam instead. The dentist spent less than five minutes with me and quickly referred me to their oral surgeon for the extraction. At the front desk, the focus seemed to be collecting my $10 copay before confirming anything or even answering a basic question about availability of the oral surgeon. They said they were “squeezing” me in for a next-day consult, but I later found out the surgeon does not accept my insurance — but they’d still schedule me to pay out of pocket. My insurance lists one of their surgeons but the surgeon wasn’t available at that location. They gave me a number to call and that location said the dentist is still being credentialed. I also requested my X-rays be sent to another office. I was told they had been sent, but when I arrived at the new office, nothing was received. After calling back, I was then told I needed to sign a release form, which was never mentioned initially. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and poorly communicated. I left still in pain and had to start over elsewhere. I would not recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: The Staff and Doctors are amazing and they genuinely care about their patients. Dr. Delsnyder is the star of the practice. He is not only super honest and kind, but he is also brilliant and has vast experience in the field. The new office in Tempe has all the Specialties, and is very big and beautiful. Gentle Dental is indeed a good place to trust with all your dental needs. Thank you all.

Experiencia negativa: Do not see Garber for your root canal/Endo work. Seems incompetent. He did a root canal on me. Missed one important and standard canal. Didnt treat it at all. That caused me to have bone loss and need retreatment. I went in to see him 3 times in 1 month because the tooth was having pain again. All he did was take an xray and he said it looked fine each time I went it. He didn’t think to use a CT scan which is also standard even though they have one in house. I got annoyed and went to a different Endodontist and within 5 minutes they knew what was wrong. Seems like Garber is not an expert in his field or was negligent. He also did multiple other root canals on me before this incident. They had no pain beforehand so I’m wondering if they were even necessary or just misdiagnosed. Avoid him or if hes your only option then stay on top of him by asking for CT scans and ask to have all your canals including hidden ones treated. Idk why I as the patient have to ask to get care up to correct standards. Why do I as the patent have to tell you repeatedly something feels wrong? Why do I have to press you to get a CT scan? I have permanent bone loss and I almost lost a tooth because of this guy. Luckily I found a different Endodontist who is actually knowledgeable in their field. The rest of the business, drs, nurses, office staff is very nice and helpful. For them id give them a 5/5. If Garber ever leaves I’ll change this review

Experiencia negativa: Every time I’ve ever gone here they always try to convince you to get things done that you don’t need. Not to mention switching my dentist on me without letting me know ahead of time to an out of network dentist so I had to pay an insane amount of money out of pocket for a routine cleaning and x rays that are usually free with my insurance. Never going here again.

Experiencia negativa: Was charged for X-Rays over a year after a visit with no logical reasoning, claimed they tried to contact via mail but have an old address / location on file despite new patient intake at this location and are now taking it to collections. Gentle Dental has persistently tried to collect on regular services claiming that insurance does not cover enough. Never been an issue with other dentists.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Bedam, a surgeon at Gentle Dental, has golden hands! She did my implants. Both surgeries were done immaculately, and implants have taken root quickly, without any complications or pain. All dental assistants at Gentle Dental are great professionals too, as well as very friendly and supportive. I also like their system of text reminders about upcoming appointments.

Experiencia negativa: A Mill. You are treated like cattle. I was never addressed by name. The female dentist named Baddam had the bedside manner of a mortician. It was a Friday so they seemed to be in a hurry and did things quickly and painfully. The only friendly person was the dental assistant. Mexico would be a better alternative.

Experiencia negativa: Can’t wait to get my braces off so I never have to go back here again. Oh and don’t get the braces get the Invisalign if you do end up here. Wish I was forewarned. It’s been over three years trying to give me an over bite. Dr Kess put the brackets on the back of my bottom teeth like every other orthodontist has done so we can be finished with this traumatic experience already!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Bobby is personal and takes the time to answer questions. I feel very comfortable under his care. I went through two major procedures with him and had full confidence in him. They even worked me in when I was having pain in my lower gums. He takes time with me, informed me about a medication I was taking that could have severe problems for my teeth later. He never makes me feel like he's rushed. The technicians that help him are also experienced and very friendly. I highly recommend Gental Dental.

Experiencia negativa: I recently called the Tempe office on the advice from the Ahwatukee Office to have a prescription filled. I was rudely told that since I was not a patient at the Tempe office they could not assist and that I would have to go to the Ahwatukee and pickup my prescription. I explained that I had never seen the Dentist there. I’m not sure why they could not help since it’s all part of the same company.

Experiencia positiva: The endodontist, the assistants (Angela, Taylor, and some other girl whose name I didn’t get) were AWESOME. They were super kind, efficient, talented, and walked me through everything. Almost everything was painless. My only complaint was when I was getting my permanent crown the general dentist pushed really hard on my gums to try and get some debri that he thought was in there, out. It was very painful and unnecessary. That area was visibly tender and inflamed. Before that, the lovely assistant was using one of the tools to get stuff out and it was painless so I didn’t see why anything other than that was necessary. Other than that everything was great!

Experiencia negativa: Terrible experience at this Gentle Dental location first time calling to schedule an appointment based on a referral from the doctor at a different gentle dental location and the receptionist was less than helpful and immediately said they do not take our current insurance. After going back to the previous location it was confirmed they DO take our insurance the receptionist just didn’t bother to confirm what insurance we have. Then called again to schedule an appointment for an emergency dental concern and upon arrival instead of adhering to the appointment that was scheduled for the dental emergency (tooth extraction), they wanted to do another consultation which was not necessary since we had a referral. The appointment was at 11:30 told us to come back at 2pm and they would do the extraction. Upon coming back at 2pm (and not being seen until 2:30) they still didn’t do the extraction and claimed they had no time for it. This left my husband still in pain without a solution and wasted his time for an entire day.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been going to a different, gentle dental for years, but that location is no longer convenient for me. I tried the Tempe location for a basic cleaning. They did not have accurate insurance and that took almost 30 mins to correct. No contact was made before the appt to verify/update the insurance. The hygienist was clearly frustrated that we were already behind as I was the first patient of the day. They immediately started talking about how if my health of my teeth hadn’t improved since my last visit, they wouldn’t even be able to do the cleaning. This was before they had even taken him measurements or checked my teeth. My teeth health has improved, and when I asked if it had after measurements, I was told “just barely”. I had to ask if I could still get a cleaning and was given shade and told “I guess we can”. We finally got the cleaning done, then was told that I needed to see the orthodontist and podiatrist to “discuss the health of my teeth”. I don’t have the best teeth in the world, but they’re definitely at least average. They tried to force me to follow up for another cleaning in 3 months, even though my insurance is every 6 months. When I mentioned this, they barely refuse to acknowledge it. I just wanted to force me to do another appointment. All in all, the whole thing was very frustrating and I felt it was a grab to get me back for additional appointments for more money. I will not be back to this location, and possibly not be back to gentle dental at all

Experiencia negativa: I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the dentist was actually very nice. Unfortunately, the office staff did not have it together. My insurance was mishandled, and additional services were added to the bill—making it over $200 for what should have been a routine cleaning. I haven’t had a cleaning this year, so it should’ve been fully covered. They also wanted me to pay upfront and bill insurance later, even though I verified in advance that they accept my plan. When I questioned this, I received major attitude from the young woman at the front desk, after standing there for quite a while without even being acknowledged. I decided to walk out after seeing the inflated bill. As I was leaving, the same girl actually yelled across the waiting room that I’d be charged a $25 cancellation fee—which honestly made me laugh. I would never agree to pay over $200 for a cleaning that should be free with insurance. It’s a shame when a good dentist is overshadowed by such unprofessional office staff.

Experiencia fantástica: First time at that office. It's been almost 10 years(due to a fear phobia) that I have been to ANY dentist. The staff was so kind that I immediately felt comfortable. They were polite, the environment was very clean, they were extremely friendly and very professional. Dr Dale Snyder was very pleasant and put my mind at ease. I go back next week for 2 extractions and guess what, I'm not nervous. Now that says a lot.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Garber and his assistant were amazing. I was anxious going in for what I thought was my first root canal. I found out I needed a double root canal. Dr. Garber and his assistant created a calm and welcoming environment. They covered everything in detail from how much time it was going to take, how much it would cost and what they would be doing. Their friendly banter put me at ease. I was even able to return to work for the rest of the day.

I did go here when it was on So. Rural Rd. and thought there were too many dental -employees and opinions where they took 2 sets of X-rays!? I didn't go back here.

The dental hygienist was rude to me and spoke to the other assistant as if I wasn’t present. I moved to their Scottsdale office where the staff is kind, courteous, and professional. Update: No response from them to my review will make the situation any better. Just do better for the customers you still have.

Experiencia fantástica: Taylor was very pleasant as she went about her business, of taking an x-ray and explaining the processes that were on tap for my consultation. Dr. Bobbi was also very pleasant as he explained, in more detail, about what an extraction and subsequent molding for a partial denture would look like. The treatment coordinator came in and explained what my insurance would cover and had me sign the acknowledgement forms. The entire process was quick and easy with this pleasant staff working with me.

Experiencia negativa: Coming from someone who works check in at a dermatology office...The staff did completely ignored me for 3-5 minutes when I arrived and didn't greet me or say we will be with you soon. I filled out my paperwork and turned it in to be informed they were on hold with my insurance. I continued to sit and wait in their lobby for 40 minutes to the point where my 1:00 appointment was now starting at 2:00. They made no effort to communicate any other options or seem concerned for their schedule or mine for that matter. I requested to reschedule and by my luck I happened to leave my wallet. I returned for the one of the oh so kind ladies to say "you're welcome" packed with sass as if she did me ANY favors.

Experiencia negativa: This place is an absolute scam.They tell me they are in network with my dental insurance.But when my wife and I went to go get work done they were trying to charge us out of network prices. Seems Extremely fishy like they are trying to overcharge us. As I got a quote from 3 other dentist in my network, Making making my $1000 cleaning, when it should be $100 with my coverage. They did this to me and my wife on separate occasions saying our insurance doesnt cover a cleaning or anything of the matter and even while looking at my benefits summaries showing Its covered they still want to charge hundreds of dollars. Take your dental work elsewhere they are super rough and unclean and try to get as much money from you as they can.

Experiencia positiva: Staff at Gentle Dental no helpful. Prescription sent to wrong locations, went to Walmart- Tempe waited for 2 hrs, called Gental office - Tempe was told Dr left cannot assist, need to call again tomorrow at 7am. Antibotic received the next day.

Experiencia fantástica: My son has been going to Gentle Dental for a number of years and has seen various doctors in this practice. Dr Kess and his ortho team have been wonderful, patient and kind. Always willing to answer questions patiently and making this a smooth and efficient experience. Dr Baddam and her team have been wonderful. My son had to undergo a procedure at short notice and they were willing to accommodate him the next day. The complicated procedure went flawlessly-thanks to Dr. Baddam and her wonderful team. Experiencia negativa: It was the worst experience I've ever had I get there and there was already a client upset that they didn't see him for 45 minutes until the next hour I was upset about that for that one reason I said I hope that doesn't happen to me. And I found out later it was my turn and they told me oh we're going to take more X-rays I said wait a minute I just had X-rays done at your other office I said okay that's fine let me talk to the doctor doctor said yes I have to get a new x-rays which I'm okay with I told her the problem is after the x-rays are you going to pull this tooth out is it hurts she said no I said Thank you for telling the truth I have to leave now I got to go see a person that will take this tooth out I'm in pain goodbye

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Garber is a man who has perfected his craft. I've had 2 root canals completed by him and both times, have been as painless as 1 could hope for (zero pain). Dr. Garber is professional, polite and actually cares for his patients well being. I was pleasantly surprised at how quick he started and finished and would highly recommend if you ever need his services. Thank you Dr. Garber, you and your staff are top notch!

Experiencia fantástica: My experience at Gentle Dental Tempe was great! Walking into this very clean office and being greeted by friendly staff was pleasing. I was highly impressed with Dr. Baddam. She is caring, patient , comforting and excellent at what she does. Today she extracted 4 of my daughters wisdom teeth. My daughter was very nervous, but Dr. Baddam was reasuring, explained how things would transpire and her kindness eased some anxiety; my daughter was well cared for. My favorite moment was when my daughter told me she loved me before the anesthesia took effect, and I said I love you too baby, and Dr. Baddam said, " and we love you too". I appreciated that and knew my child was in good hands. The back office staff/hygienist were also amazing, informative, and attentive. We left very pleased and satisfied with this office, from the front to the back. I highly recommend this office. Thank you Gentle Dental Tempe for such an amazing experience.

Experiencia negativa: Updated review: I have been waiting 9 weeks for a $850 refund. This is unused money from my 3k down payment based on my propsed treatment plan. When i call they do not answer. I complained to the AZ AG and BBB. The response was a voicemail telling me i would have it by July 29th. I requested the refund on May 30th. Today is August 1st and i still do not have my money. They have caller ID and ignore ny calls and messages. I cannot find any corporate contact information. Cery bad behavior Very professional, clean, and friendly. Knowledgeable staff and gentle. They are willing to work with you on what you can afford as well. Great experience at the dentist!

I went in with a lot of anxiety and she calmed me down and answered any questions I had. I will definitely be going back (hopefully just for cleanings) & not another extraction but she was great. Experiencia fantástica: I was in need of a dentist here in Tempe when I moved because I knew I had a tooth that needed to be extracted. Gentle Dental was awesome, their facilities are clean and their teams are highly efficient. I was able to get in, get the tooth taken care of and be back at work the same day. Dr. Baddam and Denise explained everything to me and I felt safe the entire procedure. I HIGHLY recommend this office especially if you are nervous in a dental chair!

The women at the Front Desk are Friendly and are willing to Help Explain and Answer any questions or concerns you may have. I would Definitely recommend this place and will be doing so to everyone I know! The Dentist is someone you have to visit regardless, you might as well get it done somewhere that Makes you Feel Welcomed!

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT EVER GO HERE!! This place is the biggest corporate scam I’ve seen. They took a Quick Look at my teeth and said I needed all this in depth work including a root canal. They ended up trying to bill me $3500 after insurance. Best part is they get people by doing same day work so no one has time to get a second opinion. I went to another dental office (Glisten Dental in Gilbert) and they said I didn’t need a root canal or any of the stuff gentle said I needed. My $3500 estimate at gental dental turned into a $300 trip at glisten and an overall better experience. I never write reviews but this place genuinely sucks and doesn’t deserve to be in business. Oh and they’re taking 6 weeks to give me my deposit back. Dont go here please…

Experiencia positiva: I have had a few off the wall occurrences of unhappiness over the last few years when there system changed for whoever is housing the scheduling. More than once they had my appointment times booked at different times from what they relayed to me ir not booked at all, but I do like the hygienist and dentist there I have seen. Most of the times the wait isn't too bad so I won't complain much. I been going to this dental office for 7 seven years.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve never had problems with gentle dental, but my last visit had to have a molar extracted. The dentist only works on Mondays. After the extraction they said that they sent t prescription for pain and antibiotics. Got to the pharmacy and they did not have any prescriptions sent for me. Called them but the office was closed, so I have been calling them for 3 days and they say that they sent the prescription, and yet I’m in pain with no medications. Not sure even or if I will get the medication, still in pain.

They required me to do a new set of X-rays even if they had my 1 week old set from the previous dentist, AND they themselves had already done X-rays and a full 3d mapping of my mouth for ortho just a few days back. How much radiation do they want me to take? They lost a patient today.

Experiencia fantástica: I walked in as a New Patient, and honestly my experience wasn’t bad at all. I’ve read previous comments but I had no issues at all from billing to the staff. My insurance covered everything for my first visit, the dentist and hygienist were very welcoming and attentive to my needs/concerns. The only thing I’ll say was the wait time was a bit long but I did also go on a holiday but other than that my experience wasn’t bad great. Will be booking my next appointment shortly.

Experiencia negativa: This practice is financially irresponsible and unwilling to contact me after my calls go to voicemail. They forced me to pay over $500 out of pocket before they'd let me leave, and this was because they didn't contact my insurance about my imaging so they could approve the treatment. On my next visit, I asked them 3 times if I owed them anything before I left, and they said no. Now they're harassing me by mail for a punitive amount of money and sending an invoice that doesn't describe ANYWHERE why I owe them the amount they're claiming. I've called multiple times on different days and at different times, but I've yet to hear what I owe them for, and if it has anything to do with the fact that they neglect to contact my insurance. I've spent more of my time trying to figure out this mess than I ever did in their office. While I am not dissatisfied with my dental work, I did not anticipate doing their paperwork as my part-time job. I don't want to be the middleman between their administration and my insurance when this is all information that should be exchanged without me needing to intervene.

Experiencia negativa: Group doctors are not performing a good service provider because I asked my old doctor for second opinion totally different opinion and not good for patient but money oriented service. They don’t want to restore my tooth but pulled out and implant new but my old doctor was told me my tooth was not needed to pull out but able enough restore so when asked to follow my old doctor suggested path performed but they denied that and told me that they would not do it and told me to go to my old doctor who is in Michigan

Experiencia negativa: Actual dentist and cleanings are great. the front desk is chaotic and has ruined my experience every single visit. i waited in the waiting room for an hour on my day off just to be told “i forgot to hit print” and they hadn’t notified the team i had arrived at my appointment. They ensured me that my secondary insurance wasn’t dental and when i was adamant they added the rightful insurance to my account. I was scheduled to get a crown on my tooth and when calling to confirm my appointment, they said i wasn’t listed and suggested i get penciled in to the schedule with a doctor i’ve never seen. I don’t have the time to keep the examples coming but it’s wrong to have to have the patient doing the front desks job. When mistakes are acknowledged i’m not met with apology.

You don’t always get to see an actual dentist which is a first for me. Maybe that’s just the state of modern American health care. ‍♂️

Experiencia fantástica: edit: 5/2025 Dr. Cullum is simply amazing and a complete master at his craft. He was able to solve my issue in a few months (mostly lab waiting time) what another expert dentist was not able to over 13 months of visits. He really knows what he's doing. He's also doing a great job helping my mom who is a very difficult case most dentists/prosthodontists won't even touch. Alice went above and beyond over several days to make sure my treatment plan was approved by my insurance, including last minute adjustments during the busiest time of the year (she worked magic on the very last day for insurance billing!!) All 3 Gentle Dentals I've visited in 10 years have been wonderful, and this location might be the best one. Very flexible scheduling -excellent support staff and management!

Experiencia fantástica: Visiting from another state a needed an appointment asap for tooth pain. I was able to schedule an appointment in the evening online for first thing the next morning. Staff was amazing a did all they could for me. They even handled my insurance seemlessly. I can't thank them enough for getting me in, taking care of everything and treating me kindly and professionally. Highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: I have never been dx with periodontal disease until this office and I get regular cleanings prior to having to switch providers. They want to charge for services that are not cover under your dental plan even when they are supposedly proven techniques. If they were proven they would be covered under under my dental plan at some level. Beware of possible upcharging.
