Experiencia negativa: Was one and half years ago with my wife to Mr. Caldwell clinic, she needed to refit an artificial fallen tooth. What Mr. Caldwell did that was incredibly unprofessional, he refited tooth incorrectly, and grinded it off, basically just destroyed it beyond repair. My wife had a lot of troubles after his work, tooth was sitting incorrectly, filling pain when chewing and inflammation afterwards. We advised insurance for that situation, and change the doctor, we do not want to hear name David M. Caldwell ever again.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Caldwell and his staff, along with his wife, were incredibly knowledgeable, caring and efficient. He was able to provide an abundance of new information, not only in regard to my daughter’s teeth, but also her current health issues. 10/10 I would recommend this office- The waiting room was clean and well kept and the front office staff was also friendly and timely. Wonderful! Thank you, all!!

Experiencia negativa: Sent my daughter to get a filling today and an amalgam filling was done instead of composite… it’s 2025 why would you put a metal filling in her mouth without discussing it with the parent or at least mentioning it asking if it’s ok… now this will be something that will have to be changed out or monitored so it does not expand and break on top of it being tacky…insurance did not require a downgrade so why was it done without my knowledge…this is my child’s first cavity on an adult tooth she does not have high caries risk and she has good oral hygiene this was a very poor decision on the staff especially since at my child’s recall appointment I mention how I hated amalgam restorations I’m very disappointed…. I work in dental and have for the last 10+yrs I remember things about my patients and I also know that things should be discussed with parents for this very reason to avoid things like this…..

Experiencia negativa: Had a appt scheduled 2 months in advance, got here and they said it was canceled due to no staff without notification to me. I Actually got a reminder the same day of appt. If I could leave 0 stars I absolutely would! This experience was so unprofessional!!! I Altered my whole week schedule to make it to the appt. I'm not one to complain, but never in my life I've had this happen.

They were also upfront with all costs as we are cash paying . No unexpected charges . Office staff and the dr are really sweet . I even switched over to them for my own dental treatment for future services .

My daughter used to have white coat syndrome and Dr. Caldwell worked some magic over her that now she brings him gifts! Before covid his office was covered with large stuffed animals for the kids to play with and bring them comfort during covid he gave away all of them to his patients. So he had to start all over when they opened back up. So my daughter decided to help him out and has brought some toys and stuffed animals too.

I've been a patient since 2019, when Dr. Caldwell carefully designed and crafted my first set of dentures. Folks, I must add that he's truly the Picasso of his craft.In addition, the passion generated by his meticulous processes is only enhanced by his level of compassion shown to the patient's comfort level. Fast forward to now, I experienced an unfortunate accident that resulted in two teeth becoming dislodged! Grief stricken, I contacted the office, appraised them of my dilemma. Much to my surprise, Dr. Caldwell and his wife sprang into action, giving me the most heart felt reception, and resolving my dilemma. Dr. Caldwell, his staff, and their willingness to exceed the 100 percent threshold makes him my preferred choice as #1 DDS. in Southeast Texas! Experiencia positiva: Our first visit to Dr. Caldwell's office was great. We had the sweetest dental assistant and our appointment went smoothly. Unfortunately our second visit was not a success. Dr. Caldwell's office schedules your appointments for you and they made my 2 years olds appointment around lunch time. I work full time so I left work to pick up my daughter to bring her to this appointment. Again, it was close to lunch time and she was hungry and fussy. I didn't have a great snack option for her as I'd just come from work. I got her cheezit from the vending machine for her to snack on in the waiting room. When we were called back I didn't have time to put the cheezits away. The dental assistant saw them and the judgmental comments that came out of her mouth left me in shock. I was further shamed by Dr. Caldwell when he was called into the room. They then applied fluoride to my daughter teeth and told me she couldn't eat for 2 hours. At lunch time. Again, they scheduled the appointment day and time, not me. Why? I understand that dentist need to address the harm that some snacks can do to teeth but there is a way to address it that doesn't completely shame busy, hard working parents doing the best they can for their child at that moment. We are not likely to return to Dr. Caldwell's office.

Two children needed extensive work done and during that visit just days later they were in and out with no problem. Dr. Caldwell was amazing with them and made them comfortable and took extra time to explain every step he was taking. I would recommend them for any dental needs you might have.

We just moved back to the East Texas area and my wife found this place that has really high ratings for children's dentistry. I can see why after visiting the office! There are TV's playing children's movies and the office is decorated with stuffed animals and other things geared toward making children at ease. They do a very good job with children! They made us feel very comfortable and the dental assistant was really great with him! He wasn't nervous at all and really liked the assistant and the dentist that came to give him a look over. All very nice people, so we'll be bringing him back here for his check ups and dental work!

Went in for my 12 month olds first dentist appointment today.. who absolutely hates doctors visits and it’s always a nightmare. But not here, my boy was smiling and laughing the whole time! These folks really go the extra mile to make everything fun and easy and we will never be seeing anyone else but them for his teeth!
