Experiencia fantástica: Every dentist claims to be better than the last here. I’ve been going here for at least 3 years and I’ve had more than that numbet in dentists. However, this last one might be the best one I’ve ever had here. I wish I had caught her name. She fixed two previous fillings that my last dentist here had done. As well as cleaning my teeth better than they have been in so long. I hope I continue to get her .

Experiencia negativa: Because I appreciate good service and write good and bad reviews. I also want to point out that I pay what I owe. Not trying to not pay. In fact, I never ask for any type of compensation, discount for the error I am about to explain. I visited the Lakewood Dentistry for about the 3rd time in March of 2025 for routine x-rays and cleaning. I had been and the previous experience was good. I advised that I had new insurance, and they stated that they accepted it. I received the service and upon leaving was charged and I paid $52 co-pay. Never mind this time was very unprofessional and the young ladies seem to be unhappy with their employment. Gutten for punishment, I scheduled the follow-up service for 30 days later only to later be canceled due to what apparently was a dispute between the owners/Dentist. Months later, after they reopened under “new management”, they send me a bill for $562. I was shocked. “You said I was cover.” “You said you accepted my insurance. In fact you only charged a co-pay.” This type of management and business practices is why the firm failed. All this to say, Lakewood Dentistry is a horrible place. I would not recommend doing business with me. I have since found Middleton Dentistry, with two location, and find them to professional and caring. And don't thank me, do better!

Experiencia negativa: i’m not one to leave bad reviews but this was too bad of an experience not to leave one. the worst dental experience of my life. if i could leave 0 stars, i would. i didn’t have dental insurance, so i saw that they had $99 deal for new patients without insurance for exams and x rays. figured it was the cleaning as well, but my mistake for assuming the cleaning would be involved. i was asked when i got there if id be getting a cleaning and said yes, but they failed to mention it’d be $160 extra for that. no one told me whatsoever. i get into the exam room and immediately have x rays taken and then after that, i waited about 45 minutes for someone to come in and start my “cleaning”. finally, the dentist comes in and i tell her my concerns and everything. after talking for a bit, the dentist starts using a drill on my teeth, basically drilling the top layer off my teeth (feeling like she’s nicking my gums) and the assistant is holding the water and air hose in my mouth, pressing one of them far in the back of my mouth, making me gag. i have never gagged at the dentist before nor been so terrified and uncomfortable that they’re drilling my teeth. I have had many teeth cleanings in my life from many different dentists, all of which never included a drill. after all that, they say that they’re done and i can go up front to wait to reschedule without any flossing or polishing of my teeth. i wait and am called up to the front desk and am told i owe an additional $160 on top of the $99 i already paid for the “cleaning” i got. i told them i waited for 45 minutes for the dentist and no one actually cleaned my teeth and that no one told me there would be an extra up charge for cleaning. again, my bad that i assumed it was included, but they definitely could’ve disclosed that it’d be extra. luckily, the front desk lady was nice enough to ask someone for advice and gave me two options of either getting back in the chair and actually having some polishing and flossing done (why wasn’t it done in the first place if it’s part of the cleaning??), or she can cut the $160 in half. i decided to go with the second option and pay for my mistakes of trying this place just so i can leave. so, all in all, i have never had a worse dental experience in my entire life. wouldn’t recommend to anyone. honestly, blows my mind that they have such great reviews.

Amber & my new female dentist from Aspen Dental were a nice surprise as I still miss my friendly/ gentle dentist that moved to Louisiana. Outstanding listeners, care. Appreciated that my pain tolerance and financial needs were taken into consideration as the dentist found a way to revise my old care plan.

Dr. Numbers. So, today Friday, 2 days later, the crown Dr. ASHMEET, re-cemented on my root canal, fell out again THIS MORNING, so closed mouth for the weekend I guess

Experiencia positiva: I called to set an appointment for a cleaning. It was set for 2months later. I came for the appointment they did X-rays and then wanted to do some other things that needed insurance approval. Set me another appointment for a month and half away and I got nothing done. Example: I go in to get an oil change and they say I need 4 tires, rear end work and a paint job. Come back later we'll do it all. All I wanted was my oil changed and I didn't get anything done. Not happy at all.

I've never had my teeth cleaned and them not polish them, nor did she examine my mouth for cancer, which is sad considering I had cancer two years ago. She used some sort of air tool on my teeth to clean them and they are super sensitive, it was hurting, and she said a few times that it was because I had bone loss and I needed to be numbed, but kept going, acted irritated that I was in pain then rubbed on a topical numbing agent to finish, it still hurt but not as bad. Then just walked out of my room. I'm looking for a new dentist. The original dentist in that office was amazing. This one, not so much.

Experiencia negativa: Do not suggest for children. Appointments seem to get canceled with no warning or notification. Then they try to cram appts together and then end up “not having time to finish all that was planned” Then offer to do what was planned if willing to stay longer after already being called back 43 minutes pass set time of appt. Also 13 year old son was asked to hold suction tool while they worked on his mouth which I found very odd request. Over all bad experience while trying to get three kids seen (and even tried to space their appts out so not seen all at once)

Every time I walk into that office they say root canal and cap and quote me several thousand dollars. 5 minutes with a dentist took $50 out of my paycheck with zero options

They did a wonderful job and I have trust in them with my care. I will definitely come back to them for my future dental care needs!

I have never had a dentist actually take the time to talk to you face to face. Doctor Numbers you're amazing and Melody you're a pure angel you helped calm me down and talked with me on a professional personal level there need to be more Doctors and Staff at more places. Experiencia negativa: My Client had a 10:00 a.m dental appointment this morning for his annual cleaning exam.. Which started out not on time. I asked the receptionist @ 10:15 a.m were they running behind. Finally @ 10:40 a.m. he was called back. As i waited in the cold waiting room wondering what was taking so long and nothing everyone that was there before us and the patients that came after us were treated and gone. So i asked the receptionist could she check and see what was taking so long. She replied that they were finishing up and he should be done shortly. I waited for another half hour and he still wasn't done. So I took it upon myself to go see what was going on. My client was still sitting in the chair unattended and his cleaning wasn't completed. The doctor and another staff was working on another patient across the hall. When the Doctor enter the room i question her about why was the cleaning taking so long. She stated that there was an emergency. Short staffed and all her excuses. The bottom line was that my client was totally disrespected and pushed aside because he was special needs and could not advocate for himself and was taken advantage of. There was no reason we should have to spend 3 hours and 10 minutes at this appointment. If all these problems occurred someone should have communicated with me. I was also on my job and had other participants to see.I feel this appointment was very disrespectful and unprofessional. And will not be returning to your establishment.

Experiencia negativa: first time patient - i had to find a new dentist due to turning 18 & not being able to see my pediatric dentist anymore. front staff wasn’t welcoming and did not acknowledge anything about it being my first time in. when i was took back the assistant also did nothing to make it feel welcoming. took me into a room and typed on the computer leaving the room randomly at times without telling us what was going on. super weird. another girl came in and took x-rays, shortly after the doctor came in, did not introduce herself (still don’t know her name) or even say hi. she looked at the x-rays and looked in my mouth and talked for a minute about what needed done, and then proceeded to clean my teeth. as i am already uncomfortable and feel super unwelcome the doctor asked the assistant for numbing cream. since i never in my life have needed numbing cream for a cleaning and having bad experiences at the dentist as a kid, (before i found the perfect pediatric dentist) i got nervous. overall bad experience. they had previously on the phone explained that they accepted my insurance when we made the appointment, come to find out at the end of this just bad dentist visit, they didn’t, and then the lady at the front asked my mom to leave a 5 star review … do not recommend if you’re looking for a warm friendly and welcoming dentist.

I had my appointment booked for 2 weeks when I arrived to check in, they didn’t even have me in the system or scheduled. They so called fixed it and when I got bak to the waiting room I waited a hour n half . A dr. Came in and did my x-rays because their assistance was busy. She asked what I was there for so i explained I had to fillings that needed filled that had came out and i was worried about losing these two twos because they were my last two molars that I had to eat with. She then says to me well u have a lot of other fillings that u never came bak very rudely with an attitude! Then she leaves n I wait another 20 mins for another dr to come in and try to give me a cleaning instead of what u was actually there for. Then she says she doesn’t have time to do the fillings and that the front desk people messed up when they put my apt in and so she went to get them to have them come in talk to me as if it was my fault n I didn’t do my job smh I will never be goin bak to this dentist and I would never recommend it to anyone it took me years to over come my fear of the dentist jus to have another bad experience! Oh yeah and instead of listening to me one of the dr. Asked me if I was in pain cuz if so she would pull it !!! Not at all what I wanted jus think as a dentist, you would think they would be sincere and try to help you save your teeth instead of pulling them because they don’t have enough time to do a filling or maybe because they make more money off of a tooth pulled not sure but beware !!!!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: Normally great service. Today was different. Wasn't busy at all when I got there. Was 20 mins early 1:45pm. Didn't get taken back till 20 mins after my appointment (2pm) then sat for another 40 mins in room waiting for a 10 min cleaning. That has also changed over the last couple years. The meaning of a cleaning. Not satisfied at all.. I don't know what's going on with them but it's sad. Hope something changes for the better before I find a different dentist.

Absolutely horrible I was hesitant to even return but I’m so happy I did . Not only are they under new management they have all new staff and Doctors. The office staff was so kind and helpful . Kelly , Melina and the office manager Faith was amazing so friendly and made me feel so comfortable. I know they have previous bad reviews but the turn around has been incredible. Also the remodel and new look is so welcoming as well . I highly recommend Lakewood Family Dental .

Experiencia negativa: I pulled up to the building and they had arrows pointing to where the front door was so I am trying to look where the front door is. There was people standing out front looking at the front door. I go up and it is locked. No sign on the door stating what is going on. So I call and a lady answers the phone stating that they are in a "huddle" and will be out momentarily. So finally they come out after standing there for 10 minutes and we walk thru wandering hallways with the smell of fabuloso cleaner being corralled like cattle to the receptionist desk. Employees were loitering around the desk. I checked in and the lady asks me to have a seat. It is now 905 As I am taking my seat I noticed that the front door was shattered by something. After sitting for 25 minutes I go up to the front desk inquiring about my 9am appointment that was 25 minutes ago. They told me that they were waiting on a fax for my benefits. I would think that they would have checked on this Friday if not Monday.. this is Tuesday.. the gal said it shouldn't be more than 10 minutes and they will call me back. So about 10 minutes later is it 935 they call me back. I walk back to passing many dental chairs some empty and some with restless patients waiting with no dental assistant hygienist or dentist in site. They sit me down and I waited about 5 min dead quiet no music nothing and you can't even see outside but honestly who would want to but at least have it aesthetically pleasing so after waiting for about 5 minutes I got up went to the hallway which was empty of people and I asked how much longer I have to leave and go back to work. They said that they are down to one X-ray machine that the other one was broken and that it shouldn't be much longer. I said ok and sat back down for a minute or 2 longer. I questioned the whole dental office is my mind. I finally got up told the lady I was leaving I had to go back to work. She apologized and asked me if I wanted to make another appointment. I told them that i don't have time I have to get back to work. Do not go to this place if business. It is very unprofessional and not a place that I would feel safe with them working in my mouth. 0 stars

Experiencia fantástica: Faith was amazing, knowledgeable, and professional. She explained things in great detail without me having to ask. I hate the dentist with a passion, but this is a great experience.

Experiencia negativa: I’m updating this review and subtracting many stars. Had a filling done here after a root canal. It’s a few months later and the filling fell out. I understand sometimes this stuff happens. What I don’t understand is being told their next appointment to fix the screw up is not for another month. So basically I’m being told to just go ahead and walk around with a hole in my tooth that was caused by their defective filling for and entire month. No one should be told to do that by any dentist for any filling. Completely unacceptable and not the service I’ve gotten in the past from this practice. I have used Dr. Ghandi and Dr. Jordan and both are great dentists. Even in and emergency they’ve always bent over backwards to accommodate me since I travel for a living. I’ve gotten nothing but first rate care out of the practice and the staff is super friendly.

Experiencia negativa: I was in there with my dad they didn’t do anything I had to cancel my appointment for them to do nothing they tried scamming my dad to pay 800$ when he already paid I really don’t recommend this dentist please make sure that you have all your receipts and the blonde lady was extremely rude they really don’t know how to schedule appointments and they did it more then once they need to give him his teeth or his money back

Experiencia negativa: I got a root canal in February with a dentist they recommended near Fort Wayne after they told me to come back and get the crown on with them so I made my appointment and waited I’ve had to reschedule my appointment 8 times already I made an appointment where I got my root canal done they told me they were able to get me a crown on I made the appointment with them they got me in like a week later when I got there I got an X-ray done then after they told me I couldn’t get my crown on the root canal that its gotten infected and that I have to get the procedure all over again just because Lakewood couldn’t get my appointment rescheduled the dentist also informed me that Lakewood doesn’t have a dentist right now and that’s why they been canceling appointments left and right and told me to instead of going to them I should find a new dentist or stay with the dentist they recommended me

Experiencia negativa: They rescheduled twice on me, LAST minute due to the dentist not being available. On top of that they don't answer the phone or return messages. I called all day trying to verify an appointment time for that day, couldn't get ahold of anyone. Recieved a text the next day asking me to rate my appointment that I missed because no one would answer the phone. My son has came here for years but we will be going elsewhere. It seems like since they've expanded they've really went downhill.

Experiencia negativa: I had an appointment Monday, August 11th at 2pm. I arrived for my appointment and the building was closed. Their communication sucks because if you guys were closing early, I should’ve been notified. Tried to reschedule an appointment and I couldn’t. They shouldn’t make appointments if they know they’re gonna be closed. I had to rearrange my whole day for that appointment.

They also closed on the weekend and I have not received any notifications email or phone call....I showed up for my appointment and waisted my entire morning and fuel to get there for it to be closed..

Experiencia positiva: My appt was at 2pm I was checked in quickly. I was not called back until 2:50pm. Dentist & Assistant were not friendly. Dentist cleaned the plaque no polishing. Assistant applied fluoride poorly only covered some of my teeth.

All they did was take X-rays of my son's teeth and then refer him to a dentist that will do work on his teeth. I feel like my time was wasted when they could have told me that to begin with.

Experiencia negativa: Extremely unprofessional. I waited 6 weeks for my appointment, had to take time off work, only to get there and be told they emailed and texted me to reschedule. There was no such email or text or call. Checked my spam folders as well. No history of calls or texts. I asked the reason for rescheduling and was told the dentist was on a leave of absence. This was to be my first appointment with them. Had I known it was located in a sketchy part of town, I would not have scheduled with them, except I preferred a female dentist. That's ok! There are plenty of dentists in Fort Wayne. I will check reviews much more closely from now on. I see this one is on the low end.

I had to get discharged from them, just so I could go somewhere else!!! They canceled a few appointments on me, saying i didnt have appointments (even though i have the texts proving i do )!! Dr's up and left, some employees are very rude!!! I'm positive they're scamming insurance companies, and people without insurance!!! Definitely do NOT recommend!!!!! Very unprofessional!!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: I was a patient since 2018, I this last month they ask me to reschedule my appointment twice. Due to Dr have mix schedule. And today 06/06/25 I suppose to have a appointment at 2pm. I call to confirm my appointment. The front desk person I spoke on the phone. Told me I don't have any appointment, and I have to schedule another appointment, and the sooner they can see me is the next month. So desk appointment on your service.

Experiencia fantástica: I love Lakewood family dentistry . The staff are very friendly and helpful to me and my family. The doctors really know how to get done what ever you need.I'm very satisfied with this amazing dental family office.

Experiencia negativa: The unprofessionalism at this office is astounding. I haven't even had the opportunity to get past phone calls with these people. From doctors retiring all of a sudden, management staff being completely changed, dentist leaving abruptly, canceling appointment and trying to reschedule at times. Not equivalent to your original appointment time without a phone call. Whatever is going on in this office. It is a mess. When I call to speak to the supposed new office manager after working with the previous one and who is sweet as could be, was unapologetic, just kept repeating herself, and making excuses for why the staff was providing incorrect information to save face. I asked if I didn't hear from them by end of July for an appointment that fit my schedule. I would be seeking alternative Care. They discharged me aa a patient. Which is interesting considering I never actually made it into the office because of their constant missteps.

Experiencia negativa: I was supposed to have my wisdom teeth removed since last Thursday. The first time I went in, they told me my appointment was cancelled and they didn’t give me any heads up about it. I was told to come back next Thursday and I even received a physical card by them that had the date and the time for my next appointment. I called again today, and was told they don’t see any open appointments for me today or any upcoming days but they see the record of my previous visit. The lady told me to call again at 2, which was after their lunch break and so I did. I was on the phone with a different lady and she told me she doesn’t see any history of my visits of me and that the surgeon is ONLY available on Wednesdays.

Experiencia positiva: Went there with my 4 year old daughter today. We waited about 4 minutes before being called back. The dental assistant was the absolute sweetest woman. So incredibly patient with my little girl since she was nervous. She explained everything and moved at my kids pace. I didnt feel rushed at all. She was amazing and I hope we get her again in 6 months.

Experiencia fantástica: I went in as a walk in on May 22, 2025. I waited about an hour..(Not bad for a walk in). Had xrays for gum pain after goi g somewhere unless to get teeth pulled. Dr was great. Got rescheduled to see oral surgeon in 2 weeks then getting fitted for dentures. Great places.

Experiencia fantástica: Got a last minute appt for my dad who was in severe pain with a broken wisdom tooth. Faith at the front desk was professional and efficient, and my dad said that Dr. Nash was excellent!

Experiencia fantástica: Needed general dental care, extractions and dentures. Although we had to wait through a lab change and delays outside of the dentristries control, the staff and managing owners were very courteous and professional. They made us feel like family and took great care of our dental needs. I would recommend to all. The location is ideal and there is adequate parking along with wifi, and very comfortable waiting room furniture and televisions. Wait time was minimal and everything was clean and sanitary. Thank you very much.

Experiencia negativa: Incredibly disappointed. Needed quite a bit of work done and was cancelled with less than 24hrs notice due to the dentist retiring. I've been in pain for over a month and anxiously awating this appointment, and was left high and dry with no attempt to help get me in to get the issue resolved. Now having to start all over with a different office to try and get the care I should have received from the beginning.

Experiencia negativa: Arrived at 3:45 for a 4:00pm appointment. Waited for an hour before finally just leaving at 4:55. I informed the front desk that I would not wait any longer and was leaving. She was not apologetic or concerned at all. I will be finding a new dentist.

Experiencia negativa: I do not recommend. There is no sense of urgency and patients wait up to 9 months or more for dentures. They do not care, it's a coporation, not a family dentistry

Experiencia positiva: The people were friendly and did a great job with my 2 year old for her first time. The only thing that I didn't care for was the cleanliness (lack there of). Everything they used was brand new and I watched them open Everything just wish they would take the time to wipe counters, sweep the floor, take pride in your work place. They also had us in and out in less than 20min.
