I also appreciate his willingness to share his knowledge. There was a student shadowing him for two of my visits and I heard Dr Malik sharing some pretty cool information with him. Experiencia fantástica: Excellent service (root canal) by Dr. Malik and his assistants. I had gotten a crown in tooth #30 (lower right molar) and was experiencing sensitivity in the tooth directly above it (#3). First endodontist I visited was not very friendly IMHO, so I looked online and found Progressive. He was convinced the crowned tooth was the culprit and I was experiencing "referred pain". My appointment was at 8:30am yesterday. It took a while to get to the numbing (about an hour). Procedure ended around 10:45am. No tooth pain after the procedure, but there was a lot of soreness at the anaesthetic injection site (right jaw) after the anaesthetic wore off. Only minor annoyance was a bit of brusqueness from one of the telephone receptionists, not an uncommon personality trait for that role. We're taking our daughter to Progressive for her pre-emergent wisdom teeth!

I have lots of dental and health anxiety. As soon as Dr. Malik and his assistant- Carla, started working with me, I could feel my anxiety melting away. I highly recommend him! I also met with Dr. Malik a few years back. I thought I might need him to perform a root canal. It turned out that I did not need one. I’m so grateful for his integrity and thorough exams. Due to my health history, I deal with many medical professionals and have for several years. I can assure you that Dr. Malik is outstanding and top notch. This is the perfect provider and practice. When I visit and deal with offices like this, it gives me hope. This practice is definitely not the norm in today’s medical world.Carla and Jenny are also wonderful! So very grateful for this group. Once the feeling came back, there was no pain! It literally is only sore when I forget not to bite on that side and then it’s only momentarily. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: The scans were excellent quality and clearly showed the problems with my 2 molars. Dr Malik was very friendly and took the time to explain the scans and what was needed on each tooth. My previous endodontist missed one canal which got infected so Dr Malik will be redoing the root canal. My other molar (had an old root canal) is cracked and I'll need an oral surgeon to extract it. Dr Malik seems very experienced and knowledgeable and I'll definitely see him for any further root issues.

Experiencia negativa: I underwent a root canal retreatment on my left molar due to a large infection, continuous pain, and a persistent abnormal taste in my mouth. After evaluation, the doctor stated—based on clinical findings—that the retreatment needed to be completed in two stages. He explained that the previous root canal filling did not reach the apex of the tooth, and that medication would need to be placed inside the canal for several weeks before the tooth could be permanently sealed. I was charged thousands of dollars for this procedure. Although the tooth was cleaned, the promised intracanal medication was never placed, and the new root canal filling again did not reach the apex, directly contradicting what had been explained to me prior to treatment. My symptoms were not resolved. When I returned for follow-up due to ongoing pain and infection, the doctor refused to correct the issue. Instead, he prescribed two courses of extra-strength antibiotics and had his secretary follow up with me two weeks later, despite the underlying problem remaining untreated. This experience was dismissive, careless, and deeply unprofessional. I felt ignored as a patient and denied appropriate care after paying a significant amount of money. I would not recommend this provider to anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: I was pleasantly surprised by the service I received when I arrived. The clinic is not top of the art with iPads to sign in or to complete questionnaires with, or plush furniture and all. It’s just a simple looking clinic. But the service was excellent! I was asked if I was comfortable by staff who weren’t even working with me. And Dr. Malik was terrific. I hardly felt the needle as he was injecting the local anesthetic and he patiently answered all my questions. Just one word of encouragement. I saw and heard everyone changing gloves. It’s always nice for patients to see staff using hand sanitizer or washing hands too. I’d be surprised if it doesn’t happen though. By the way, it’s been almost 24 hours and I’ve used minimal pain relief. Thank you for a great experience, everyone!

I went in for a root canal retreatment bc my root canal from 9 years ago got infected. Coming in I was anxious and nervous bc the root canal I got from a different dentist was so painful and the dentist complained why I kept crying during that procedure. Dr. Malik is not only caring but he takes the time to explain what the procedure would be like so I wouldn’t be so anxious. Then He worked arduously and diligently to get the infection/bacteria out and treated it with care and I felt NOTHING. Despite me being his last patient of the day he still took the time to explain the treatment course. I am recommending him to all my friends and family bc I want them to be treated by the BEST and with care/patience, Dr. Malik and his staff.

Dr. Malik and his staff made me feel at ease and handled this procedure perfectly. He listens to his patients very attentively, makes sure they are comfortable and he does exceptional work. Experiencia fantástica: I had a terrible tooth ache for 1 month and couldn't take the pain anymore. So I went to my General dentist Oak Road dentistry in Snellville. DR. Poore referred me to Dr. WAHEED that same day. I called and was greeted by the nicest front desk receptionist. She told me my price after finding out my insurance cost. She quickly replied and set my appointment for the following day. Upon arrival the next day I was greeted again with an open welcome from the front desk staff and his assistant. Doc and his staff were very kind and relieved all my pain on that visit. No one wants to see a endontontist for a root canal but if you have to Go you should go to Progressive Endodontics.

The root canal itself took quite some time because of my tooth shape but Dr.Malik was patient throughout. The rest of the staff are super friendly and make you feel at ease. Thank you so much again, the best dentist visit I’ve had.

Experiencia negativa: The woman at the front desk was AWFUL. She violated HIPPA by announcing my exam results in the presence of the patients in the waiting area. She also overcharged me by $70 for some random test that she previously told me is NOT used on 90% of patients and I likely would not have it. The doctor looked in my mouth for less than 5 mins…and supposedly…the 2 sec spray of air was considered a $70 vitality test! When I said something about it…she had the NERVE to be dismissive and say “Maybe you can use that money to go to Chick fil A or something.” She quickly removed the charge. They need a more professional staff. I will NEVER go back.

Experiencia fantástica: If you have to go to the dentist, Progressive Endodontics is the place to be. They treated me like a king, and Dr. Malik was professional, kind, and so empathetic. The competency and skill he demonstrated was second to none. And...by far the best office staff ever! They are also so kind and they make sure your dental experience exceeds expectations. Five star service!!!!
