Update: If you buy a dental cleaning package of more than one visit, please note the expiration date. They do not honor unused portion of your paid package after the expiration day. I was not made aware of my expiration day; thus, I lost money with this office. Update 2. Provider's wording below does not cover the facts, I was not demanding anything on May 19th, I was asking if I they could honor the unused portion of the paid service even though it has passed the deadline. The answer was a flat no. So, beware, know your dates and you won't be falling into an upsell trap.

Experiencia negativa: In my opi ion a very unprofessional office. I went regarding pain from a tooth. exam and xray done. told I needed a root canal. they set up appointment for a couple of weeks. They checked with my insurance and told me I would have to pay 250. Ok. then on the day of the appointment for 8 am. I get a call at 740 am saying the doctor is sick and appointment is canceled. I call the office at 8 am, when they open, and again am told appointment is canceled. I ask when can I have another appointment to which they have no answer. I ask does another dentist in the office do root canals. Told yes. so I asked for appointment with that doctor. Receptionist said I will ask and get back to you. I call the next day and get told that I should make an appointment with another office that does root canals. I told them I was not happy with the way I was treated. Then they send me a letter that they will no longer provide me dental care. Is this how you treat people? Fortunately, I found a specialist who saw me within a week, did root canal, and it didn't cost me anything even though it was the same insurance.

Experiencia positiva: Excellent care but the insurance "expert" at the front desk has no clue. I got an estimate, had the care over several visits then settled up. The final bill was over the the estimate by 10%. Ok. But a month later she said oh you owe another $350. I asked why and was told oh it is still coming in. Not sure what that means. I asked if any more would be "coming in." She said I don't know. So just be aware that the price is a moving target that only goes up. They can't tell you why but can keep asking for money. The providers are great, but too bad the insurance "expert" isn't.

Experiencia fantástica: I have a new dental plan so I needed to find a new dentist. I went to Northstar in Nazareth yesterday and I was very pleased with the care I received. I also liked the fact that they pointed out what I need done but they didn’t push me or try to overwhelm me at all!

So I stayed away for a little while. I knew I had to get back into going and I decided to try Northstar Dental Care . They are top notch. From the moment I walked in they made me feel like they’ve known me for years. And with the first visit of cleaning my teeth they really took their time. Then the next time I had to have work done that I didn’t want because of past experiences. But wow, the dentist was just perfect. Wonderful experience. Experiencia negativa: I visited Northstar Dental due to discomfort in one of my teeth. During my consultation with Dr. Basil, he conducted an x-ray and assessed the condition of all my teeth, identifying what he claimed to be cavities in eight of them. Subsequently, he performed repairs on two additional teeth and filled the remaining eight. However, I wish to express my reservations regarding entrusting him with any dental procedures in the future. Following the treatment, I experienced sensations akin to waking from something that looked like hypnosis after a few months. Concerned about my dental health, I promptly contacted the office to request copies of my x-rays. Upon independent review, no cavities were detected, prompting confusion and further inquiry on my part. It came to my attention that there had been recent changes in the office staff. Additionally, during my appointment, I noted lapses in my memory of the procedures, leading me to question the nature of the treatment administered. Notably, Dr. Basil's assistant appeared visibly apprehensive in his presence, implying potential coercion. Furthermore, I observed a peculiar practice wherein Dr. Basil would leave the examination room during x-rays to manipulate images in another location before displaying them on a monitor. This raised doubts regarding the accuracy and transparency of the diagnostic process. Moreover, the initial toothache I sought treatment for turned out to be a nerve infection. Seeking a second opinion, I visited Cherry Orthodontics, where the examining orthodontist expressed surprise at the condition of my teeth post-treatment. This reaction was particularly notable upon learning of Dr. Basil's involvement. While I acknowledge that my experience may not be indicative of Dr. Basil's treatment of all patients, I emphasize the importance of thorough documentation and informed consent to safeguard against potential risks and discrepancies in diagnosis and treatment.

From my X-rays to my teeth cleaning the MA I had was the best she was doing such a good job and made me feel so relaxed she had me laughing and while I’m getting my teeth cleaned she was so gentle I told her I almost went to sleep when she was done the doctor came in friendly and very knowledgeable gave me the best and worse case scenarios with the issues I have with my teeth let me know what my insurance covers what I would need to pay everything about North Star is like family oriented love it there and they are fast as well place is extremely clean make you feel at home definitely would recommend this place to everyone.

Mary, the hygienist, understood my sensitivity needs and made sure that I was comfortable for the deep cleaning procedure. My third visit in November of 2020 was terrible. The hygienist was replaced. The new hygienist claimed that she could not make the perio cleaning fairly painless like the original hygienist. I explained that I have sensitive teeth and TMJ. She brushed my concerns aside. I have not had a TMJ attack in several years. Now, I have a TMJ attack along with a bad headache. It is unlikely that I will return.
