Experiencia negativa: The billing and back office is atrocious. On two separate visits, they failed to properly process the claims with my insurance carrier. It takes months and multiple phone calls to resolve their mistakes. They also try to upsell, as another reviewer indicated, not because it is in the patient’s best interest but for profit. Their hygienist, Mercedes, is amazing and that is why they did not receive zero stars.

Experiencia negativa: Beware! 2 1/2 years ago, I went here as a new patient. They really wow you with all the photos and x-rays. They also scare you into thinking you need work done. Not only was there an incredibly hard sell to get tooth aligners (almost comical how much they push extras here), BUT I was told I needed an EMERGENCY CROWN on a tooth that never even had so much as a cavity. Happy to report, after a second opinion and 2.5 years later, my tooth is still perfectly healthy. They even try to scare you into thinking that your insurance won’t cover it if you wait to decide. Complete and utter BS. The ONLY reason they get two stars is because the hygienist was amazing. But the dentist? Nothing but a scam artist if you ask me. Thankfully their annoying marketing emails reminded me that I hadn’t posted my review yet! Hopefully they will now stop trying to get me back.

Experiencia negativa: I scheduled an appointment two and a half weeks in advance. However, before scheduling I asked if they accepted my insurance UFT Cigna and was told it was accepted. Fast forward to the day before the appointment, I get a call to confirm my appointment and to let me know they DO NOT accept my insurance but I can pay and put in for a reimbursement. It really seems like a bait and switch. I’m annoyed with my time waisted finding a dentist before school starts back also.

Experiencia fantástica: WOW! Park56 is by far the best dental practice in NYC! I was treated by Dr. Choi and his amazing assistant, Rosemarie, a few months ago and I left a glowing review for both of them. I just came back from the best cleaning of my life by Mercedes – I’m blown away! I’ve never had a more gentle cleaning or a more thorough one, and she also screens for medical issues as well. She answered all of my questions about whitening, teeth straightening, toothbrush and floss recommendations, etc. and she was extremely generous with her time and expertise. I will never go to another dental hygienist, and I cannot recommend Mercedes more highly! I’ve booked a teeth whitening with her too, since I have nothing but trust for this incredibly professional and talented dental hygienist. In addition, everyone in the office is lovely. Thank you, Part 56 dental, for making me look forward to going to the dentist from now on!!

Experiencia negativa: After 17 years as a loyal patient at Park 56 Dental, I’m finally done. The dental care itself is solid—Dr. Abramsky is excellent—but the billing practices are deceptive and exhausting. In 2022, I was charged $318 for a provisional crown that should have been included in the main crown procedure. Only after my own research and repeated follow-ups did they admit the charge was improper and reimburse me. Later, I wasn’t informed that Dr. Abramsky had gone out-of-network. I only found out when I was asked to pay out of pocket after a visit. The last straw came in 2025 when I was quoted nearly $7,000 upfront for a root canal and crown. I discovered the endodontist was actually in-network, and after weeks of pushing, the estimate was cut in half. But they tried to tack on a $685 “premium restoration” fee—not allowed by NY insurance law. That charge only disappeared after my insurance got involved. Bottom line: unless you’re ready to scrutinize every bill and fight to get fair treatment, look elsewhere. There are plenty of honest, skilled dentists in NYC. Park 56 Dental isn’t worth the hassle.

Dentists and staff are so welcoming and shows that they have the best customer service ave from the receptionist, to the Dental assistant/hygienist up to the Dentist. If you have fear of any Dental clinic, in this one you will notice that your phobia will disappear as the staff are confident and very knowledgeable of what they do! Kudos to Dr. Spielman, Dr. Z, Daisy and all the staff who made my visit a comfortable and fear free one. Today July 3, 2025, I went back to the clinic to start my procedure and Dr. Maor who attended to me was just very nice, knowledgeable and very humble. He explained everything what He was doing and gives you a heads up of what was going on along the way-which will make you feel like you went to a Dental school with all the knowledge imparted by this young, energetic and very polite Doctor. In the same way I was doubly lucky to have Ms. Kenia to be his assistant a very professional and as knowledgeable as Dr. Maor. With these tandem around, you will feel as comfortable as just sitting in a lounge chair watching sports without any fear or anxiety! This was my first visit and all advance processing was efficient and my intake form was thoroughly reviewed in advance of my arrival. The day of my appointment I was seen promptly with no extended waiting. Cleaning and exam was professionally done and my treatment plan was clearly explained and demonstrated with current video technology. Very happy with my first experience. —— Since posting the above review I have had two follow up visits for crowns. Each visit confirmed the positive review that I provided after my initial visit. Dr. Choi is very professional, thorough and friendly. He explained the process both before and during the procedures and the work was professionally and successfully completed. The high level of professionalism and friendliness extends to his dental assistant and everybody on the staff from initial intake, scheduling, through accounting. There are a number of dentists in the practice group and, while the office always seems busy, on all three occasions I was taken promptly and everything was friendly, calm and efficient. I would highly recommend Dr. Choi and his team if you are looking for a new dentist/practice. ----- I have now been going to Park 56 Dental for two years, including semi annual cleanings. In addition to the always pleasant and professional Dr. Choi, my hygienist, Mercedes, is always very friendly, Careful and detail oriented. Experiencia fantástica: My experience today could not have been better. Clyce booked my next appointment and explained my insurance with respect to my treatment. Nancy, the hygienist was excellent. She suggested the best way to use the Sonicare tooth brush to maximize results and recommended a softer toothbrush head to avoid any abrasiveness. Dr. Choi, did a very thorough and efficient exam and checked on my previous dental concerns. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would highly recommend this practice. 4 months later, and today’s appointment was equally as good as my last one (above) which I failed to post! Today I had Carlos as my hygienist and he was great. He and Dr Choi showed me how to better care for my teeth and reduce decay. One new habit I will adopt is rinsing after every meal for 1 minute. And flossing & brushing if possible. Great visit and I learned a lot. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

I chipped my front tooth pretty significantly skiing and he saw me within three days of coming home (importantly since I was leaving for 2 week vacation the next day) and did a truly phenomenal job with the bonding procedure itself / making me feel comfortable / answering all my questions. He also told me it was not worth drilling another tooth even though he initially thought it needed a cap. He cared more about my welfare than for the possible fee. That's an honest dentist.

Admittedly, it was my first visit to the dentist in quite a while so I was a little nervous to see what the damage was. Lauren, my lovely hygienist, assured me that I was in pretty good shape and did a wonderful job with my cleaning! She was incredibly thorough and gave me recommendations on how to keep up with my oral health. I finished my appointment with Dr Jobe who couldn’t have been nicer and more encouraging. I asked him about a few things that were slightly concerning to me (a wisdom tooth that hadn’t come in and a slightly impacted molar) but he assured me that as long as I don’t have any discomfort they’re fine as they are :) I left the office feeling like I had a brand new set of teeth Can’t wait for my next visit in 6 months!

I just left there Dec 24th for a cleaning, but it almost didn’t happen because of my insurance. There is a gentleman who works the front desk/phones named Cosmo, and he’s an absolute sweetheart and legend! I explained to him that I didn’t want to lose my relationship with the dental office due to my new insurance. Cosmo didn’t hesitate and told me he’d get back to me the next day. I don’t know what magic he pulled, but I was able to stay at the office and have my appointment. He went above and beyond. I also want to give a major shout out to Dr. Dmytro Zhurakovskyy (known as Dr. “Z”) for being so accommodating with my insurance. The both of them just did an amazing job looking out for me. Okay, so on my actual visit, my cleaning was thoroughly done and all of my questions and concerns were addressed with kindness and patience. I have an understanding of the progress of my dental health and if there are any preventative measures to be considered. It was a THOROUGH cleaning. Dr. Z was on point as well. He was quick but super efficient with his assessments. I am so glad I am a patient here at Patk 56 Dental because I just feel like I’m supported and taken care of at the fullest extent of their professional capacity. No one there, regardless of their role, half steps with their work and customer service. It’s just an overall five star experience. If you are a person who has had. Nightmare experiences or looking for a new office, please consider this place. You won’t regret it, besides kicking yourself for not joining sooner.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Billy Choi is a truly excellent dentist! I needed 6 implants due to genetically missing teeth. He referred me to a really terrific oral surgeon (Dr Doron Kalman) and helped me through all the steps from making flippers to the final crowns. He was so gentle each time he was working in my mouth, and he is incredibly kind, positive and encouraging. I’m sooo happy with final results!!! He’s also been my dentist for regular work as well and I highly recommend him as an all around expert dentist especially for implants! Thank you Dr Choi for your excellent care!

Catherine did a thorough job and my teeth are sparkling and I saw Dr. Z to thank again for the really good denture. Lea helped me with my dental plan and volunteered to give me info she gets from Delta plus she gave me an estimated cost fdr new crowns. I am so glad I switched dentists!!

Experiencia negativa: I'm not someone who usually writes or reads reviews, but I felt that others really need to know about my experience here, so I'm sharing it. I recently decided to start Invisalign treatment, and I was impressed with the dentist and hygienist. They were friendly, professional, and seemed passionate about their work. However, there were major issues when it came to the payment process. I was introduced to a monthly payment plan through a company called Sunbit, and I was specifically told that it would be okay to pay with my HSA card. This assurance led me to proceed with the treatment. But when I tried to make a payment, Sunbit informed me that they do not accept HSA cards. Since I was told it would be possible to pay with my HSA card, I was very frustrated. I contacted the dental clinic to get assistance, and they assured me that they would resolve the issue and follow up with me. Yet, I never received any calls or updates, and this back and forth went on for nearly a month with no resolution. Every time I called, they just repeated that they would get back to me, but no one ever did. At this point, my trust in them was completely gone. It felt like no one was actually working to resolve the issue, and I was incredibly disappointed. I'm writing this review to caution others. DO NOT just take their word for it, as it could cost you time and potentially harm your credit if you’re not careful. Be cautious.

My appointment was with Dr. Abramsky, who is above and beyond a professional dentist. He was passionate, calming and put me at ease. My situation was on an emergency basis and the office staff was able to accommodate me! WOW especially with so many new rules & regs with this ongoing pandemic.. I truly recommend 56 Park Dental for anyone who may be apprehensive going for any type of dental procedures. Experiencia fantástica: I had a visit today at Park 56 Dental. I had a new crown put in and it feels great. I’m very pleased with it. The office staff is very pleasant and so is my dentist Dr. Zee. Park 56 Dental is wonderful. I have a great hygienist who took care of my cleaning today. I feel very comfortable each time I come. Dr. Zee, my dentist, is awesome.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the best dental office I’ve ever been too. Dr Choi is so kind and patient and has done a great job with my Invisalign so far. I’ve been coming here for years and have seen other dentists, including Dr. Z, who have been great. The hygienist are all amazing and kind. The front office is also STELLAR! I had gum pain and swollen lymph nodes and left a message at 9:30pm. They called at 7am next day and got me in and treated within 15 minutes of my arrival. Resolved my issue completely. Seriously an amazing team all around! Flawless!!! :)

Experiencia negativa: Nice staff and service. Went for years with insurance and it was great. Without insurance it’s $335 for a simple cleaning. Without x-rays. An outrageous price. Highway robbery, even for midtown Manhattan. I paid. I will not being going back. I called several other dentists afterwards and they charge about $200. I feel taken advantage of.

Experiencia fantástica: This was my second appointment. Grace did an excellent job cleaning my teeth!!! She is very professional and nice answering my questions, patiently and completely. I met with Dr. Choi, who examined a full set of x-rays and told me exactly what I needed to do to repair my teeth. He was very detailed and had the state of the art equipment to allow me to see what was my teeth issues.
