Experiencia negativa: Upon my arrival I was greeted by two very friendly secretaries. My dental hygienist was very kind and accommodating. Each of the ladies worked with me to help verify my father's dental insurance. She even offered to have me pay the price that I would've paid if it had been verified. She kindly spoke to my father on the phone, and explained the discrepancies. This was greatly appreciated, and very thoughtful. My hygienist was very attentive, she offered me a water and explained everything that was happening at each stage. I had two small cavities, so when asked if I wanted to proceed with treatment I said yes. The dentist was notified shortly afterward and soon he came over to begin the process. He asked me to open my mouth several times before proceeding to inject an anesthetic into my right cheek. At no point did he stop to warn me that he was about to inject something into my cheek, all he said was "this will be a slight sting" before doing so. This was painful, and I would have appreciated being notified before something is inserted in my mouth. I asked the hygienist what was happening and she kindly explained that the injection was supposed to numb the area where I would be getting the fillings. The filling process was extensive and painful, he strictly instructed me throughout the procedure stating, "open your mouth wider" "don't bite down too hard" "bite faster" "keep your mouth open" and "stop moving your tongue". The constant drilling on my lower right molar was very daunting. He told me prior to the beginning that I should raise my right hand should I experience any pain, I tried to communicate to the best of my ability seeing that they were operating on my mouth. However, when I did raise my hand, he appeared to be irritated when I said I was in pain. He eventually proceeded after stating something along the lines of, "we're almost done anyway." After constant suctioning, drilling, and more stern instruction, I began to feel panicked and he must have noticed because then he demanded that I "breathe through my nose" because I was struggling to catch my breath. That was probably the worst bedside manner I have ever received from a doctor. I could tell that he was becoming impatient. He didn't explain anything before it happened, I never knew what was happening as several objects entered and exited my mouth, I was genuinely afraid. After that experience I was genuinely shocked. Only the hygienist checked in with me, explained the effects of the anesthetic, and told me the type of anesthetic being used. I paid for my visit in the front and the office manager was kind enough to give me a snack, and water. Both women were very attentive and considerate. I loved knowing that someone cared if I was comfortable, and the women in the office gave me that reassurance, support, and consideration. The office secretary reached out to me over text to ensure that I arrived home safely as well, this was very kind and I was impressed with her customer service. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the dentist I worked with today. As a result of the experience I had with the doctor, I will not return to this dental practice. The distance from my home is just too great to have experienced that kind of bedside manner after a 40-plus-minute commute. Thank you again to the ladies in the office.

And Britanny was my dental hygienist and her energy was just so amazing and did amazing work with my clean. Dr.Blake was so awesome and explained everything I needed. I could write a novel with how extremely pleased I am with this dental office! Looking forward to my next clean with a staff with the most amazing energy! I have never encountered management this rude and prideful. Instead of offering help, they chose to sit on their high horse and speak condescendingly. Kindness should be a basic part of professionalism, regardless of how much money someone earns. This was a horrible experience. Also, thank you for pointing out that I had left my review on the wrong location I hope this corrects it. God forbid a misunderstanding happens during the appointment process instead of resolving it professionally, they chose to be rude and prideful. I have never encountered management this dismissive. It’s a beautiful day don’t ruin it by getting treated poorly here. Response To Your Comment No one contacted me, and I never received any appointment confirmation. As I was trying to explain that, you kept cutting me off. I hope you learn how to deal with people professionally and actually look into issues before deciding not to do business with someone. All is well this review is simply so others don’t have to go through what I did, or so you can take this as a coaching lesson and change. Experiencia negativa: When I called for the first time to inquire about available appointments this week due to a bad toothache, a young lady answered. She mentioned she needed to attend to a patient and placed me on hold. After waiting for 25 minutes, Im still on hold? As I'm writing this review. Considering that I mentioned I was in pain, it would have been more considerate for her to take my number and return my call rather than keeping me waiting. No compassion here.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff at Life Smile went above and beyond my expectations and provided guest services that exceeded any health care provider I have ever been to in a short notice because I had an old crown fall out and needed it replaced. Being a new patient because my insurance changed, the great experience started even before I arrived with a text that included the address and directions with a photo of the building. Rachel also greeted me when I arrived, introduced me to the team, showed me around the office, explained my dental benefits and had pre-filled the health history forms with info she already had gotten. The dentist and his team were highly competent, friendly and made me feel comfortable even though I was a little nervous. I am very happy and glad I found them.

I used to hate going to the dentist and be in so much pain afterwards because of rough, rushed flossing and scraping around the gums. The dental hygienists at this office are excellently skilled and take their time to ensure a great cleaning! The staff is open to any questions about how to better care for your oral health and I have felt educated and enabled to better take care of my teeth. They also have affordable pricing without dental insurance which I greatly appreciate as a college student!

Experiencia negativa: The 5 stars lead me wrong here. My experience was not the same. Turns out I need a lot of dental work no big deal I can handle that Lord knows I've been through worse however how I was treated made the news worse. I got a bit emotional as in holding back tears as they snuck out my eyes because I didn't know how I would pay for anything he was saying. I stayed calm & listened but apparently that's their cue to ask you to leave. They don't take patients being sad very well. The most incompassionate people I've encountered & that's saying alot. Now I paid for services I won't use because I won't dare come back to this place. I'm out almost $300 because I had to pay out of pocket. So here is my advice.... if you have great insurance (thanks alot I do now ha ) or if your teeth are not in need of alot of love then maybe try this place or if you're not one to care if people are compassionate than maybe this is your dentist. As for me I won't go back not even for free. Edit I have received a refund for the services I was asked to pay in advance for after writing this review. I am grateful for that.

Experiencia fantástica: Just yesterday, using a Groupon, I had my first experience with LifeSmile and their wonderful staff. Kaitlin, the receptionist, Rachael, the office manager, and Leah, my dental hygienist, were nothing short of fabulous. Friendly, professional....even funny! What more can you ask for? Rachael gave me a quick tour of the office and Leah performed the Xray and Cleaning honors, and it was all smooth, easy, comfortable and relaxing. When I met Dr. Blake (one of the twin brothers, I'm told) I wasn't disappointed. I have a few complicated issues he was more than happy to discuss with me, including the potential of an implant, and I felt no pressure to do anything further, if I weren't so inclined. They even provided me with good recommendations for a lunch spot! Anyway, as a retired health care professional myself I greatly appreciate their thorough and kind manner, and I feel confident that they will take equally great care of others. Their location is easy to find, too, in a nicely rennovated old house less than a block off of Kirkwood Blvd.

Experiencia fantástica: Chipped a tooth on a kernal of popcorn and was able to get in and see Dr. Brent within a week. I knew a crown, my first, was the likely fix. I was not looking forward to a protracted two visit experience that involved a temporary crown while a permanent one was being made or fitted. That, I was told by friends and family, is how it goes and what i could expect. Not the case at LifeSMile. After taking a seat and having several pix taken of my damaged tooth and the jagged remains of the 40+ year old lead filling that had been left behind, I was shown the pix, presented with a plan (and cost) and told that the doc could design, mill and place the porcelin crown in about 20 minutes. I was thrilled with the news and then the painless procedure. I was even invited to get up and walk around while the crown was being created. I still scheduled a second visit, however, this one is for a check-up and cleaning.

I was put on the right frequency visit plan to improve my gum health and that has been very effective. Every visit has been promptly on time and they make sure you do not forget about your appointments. They have been very flexible and accommodating when I need to change an appointment. Life Smile deserves a 5 Star rating.

I was a first time patient who needed all my X-rays and a full cleaning and I was still in and out of there in about 70 minutes. No one at Life Smile tried to push cosmetic dentistry (for a chipped tooth I have) or teeth whitening on me, which has happened at every other dentist I’ve been to. I was very appreciative of how genuine they were.

I haven't been to the dentist in a good amount of time because I couldn't afford it. LifeSmile offers a membership program that is very affordable given how much is included in the yearly price. I also appreciate their membership program which makes pricing very reasonable for those of us self-employed folks who may not have dental insurance. I actually look forward to my next visit!
