Dr Reti always listens to my questions and is genuinely interested in giving me the answers and the care that I need at the time of my visits. His staff is always cheerful, helpful, and professional. If you want peace of mind about your particular situation and are not getting that at other oral surgeons, you will receive it here. Experiencia fantástica: I hate everything about teeth and dental work. Like, I'd rather ish in my hands and then clap before stepping these two feet into any oral surgeons office. Until, I was forced to seek their help... I can honestly say this was the best experience in my 36 years of going to a surgeon. Friendly DA's, (Jess was my FAVORITE!) prompt care, experienced surgeon - who listened, and I left feeling better than I did going in. Highly recommended this practice.

Experiencia fantástica: I had six teeth extracted (five wisdom and an extra premolar) yesterday morning and from the day I booked the appointment, the team has been nothing but very professional and friendly. They eased a lot of my anxiety since this was my first surgery and I had a lot of uncertainty. Dr. Oglander was very patient, informative, and thorough about the whole process and how wisdom teeth work. The ladies calmed down and were patient as I was getting more nervous minutes before they administered the nitrous oxide and general anesthesia. Dr. Oglander even called me after business hours personally to check up on me and let him know if I had any questions and concerns as I heal up.

Experiencia fantástica: Had 4 wisdom teeth removed here. Booked as an emergency surgery due to breakthrough pain. From the receptionist to the surgeon, Dr. Oglander, everyone was welcoming and answered all my questions. As a new client I had some anxiety, they were very calm and professional which soothed my fears! They sent me home with a syringe for cleaning, and prescribed pain medication, antibiotics, as well as a medicated mouth wash. I had no dental insurance at the time and received a nice discount. Overall, great and timely, I would go here again (but hopefully I don’t have to lol!)

The staff was also very kind and helpful with questions and never made me feel bad for asking. I got pricing from three places and they were the best price but price aside I would go back here in a heartbeat for any surgery needs. Check them out before you go anywhere else.

Experiencia negativa: This place seemed to be like a veritable slaughterhouse, for lack of a better term. I sat in the waiting room for an hour and then was seen by a Dr., that couldn’t even diagnose oral thrush, (I went to Dr. Sean Bailey later and was diagnosed correctly). The worst part is after your seen, you are put into what seemed like a corral for patients, each separated by a curtain, waiting to figure up what you owe. After waiting 45 minutes, asked if they had “tallied” me up. The medical assistant simply told me, that they had forgot about me and after a few minutes, told me I didn’t owe anything, they would send me an email for a summary of my visit. I never received it.

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone is friendly and helpful. I had my first sinus lift which I avoided due to hearing so many things that could go wrong with the surgery. Dr. Reti wiped away those worries by the end of the first consult. He is very nice and the surgery was smooth. No complications, my recovery wasn’t painful and the swelling went down quickly. Definitely highly recommend.

Experiencia negativa: I had four wisdom teeth removed here last week and it felt completely rushed and transactional. They had to stick me five times for an IV and blew three of my veins, before I finally requested that someone else attempt to stick me. I was given no education about post procedure care, besides a very vague paper, until after I was looped up on the meds. I also was not told what I would be paying until right after waking up. I do not remember anything they told me or even paying, which feels wrong. Though there was one medical assistant who was kind and comforting, I felt very uneasy getting this procedure done here and would not return or recommend for others.

Experiencia fantástica: One of my molars started hurting last Tuesday evening, and by Wednesday at 3 am, I was in such pain that it persisted through the entire day. I wasn't sure what to do, but Jessica at Southwest was able to get me in on Thursday morning as an emergency with Dr. Setzke, her, and Jaida. It was so easy and quick, and they figured out my insurance, so it was very affordable, which was one of my most significant stressors. I feel like a new woman now, and am so grateful to Jessica, Jaida, and Dr. Setzke for their service and non-judgmental nature.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. I went here last year to get my 4 wisdom teeth taken out. When I asked them if it would cost anything with my insurance and if anything wasn’t covered and they told me no, everything was covered and my insurance would pay for it. I got X-rays done and everything that they said they sent to my insurance company and got approval. Day of still not worried about it. Literally as I was opening my eyes from the SURGERY they walked over and said I had to pay them 500 there and then. Whatever it’s just the co pay I guess. Well a few months after I got my teeth done, I started receiving letters in the mail saying I had to pay my outstanding balance of almost 2k in 7 days or I’d be sent to collections. When I called they told me that my insurance hadn’t been processed yet and they were a few months behind. Ok whatever I get it. ALMOST A WHOLE YEAR PASSES. I received one of these letters about twice a month now. Then they start calling me. So I called them again. I asked what was going on with my insurance. They told me that in may of this year (a whole year after getting my teeth out) my insurance was denied because they didn’t cover impacted teeth. I didn’t get a phone call or anything about that in may. They told me it was covered and yet it wasn’t? They have still not sent me to collections dispite them saying they would do it in 7 days for a whole year. This place is a joke and a scam.

Experiencia negativa: 8:30 appointment time. Arrived at 8:10 for wisdom tooth extraction. Sat in the waiting room for an hour, asked the office staff why there was a delay, they went for a manager and had no answer. Poor customer service and doesn’t honor their appointment time. I’ll go somewhere else that actually sticks to a schedule.

Experiencia fantástica: Just had a procedure completed on a very sensitive tooth under general anesthesia. It was my second time in their office, first being when I had my wisdom teeth removed. Didn't have an appointment, explained to them I was in pain and they took me right in no wait time and finished the procedure within 30 minutes and for the procedure parts the insurance didn't cover they gave me the discounted insurance rate with my cost being about 30 percent of the standard rate. Highly recommended

Experiencia positiva: Dr. Oglander was so understanding and compassionate. He made me feel comfortable. He went above and beyond. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled and he made sure I was taken care of. My biggest issue was the rudeness of the receptionist, they way they communicated with my family because of a misunderstanding was very unprofessional.

Experiencia negativa: We have gone here twice now where they have promised us and told us that a procedure was covered by our insurance only to find out after the procedure happened that it wasn't covered at all and that they lied to us. I do not recommend any one visit any of these locations. We called back on it repeatedly. They were incredibly uncooperative and all they've been doing is non-stop sending us bills.

Experiencia positiva: Everything about my extraction was great. The nurses were super kind and patient. Beware their billing processes. Four months after my procedure, that was paid in full at the office, I started getting bills with no explanation for the extra charges. If the outstanding balance is legit, a breakdown of what I'm still paying for would be appreciated.

Experiencia negativa: My son had his teeth extracted there one year ago. First off at the extraction appointment, they marked down the incorrect teeth letters (primary teeth) to be extracted. I spoke to the surgeon and he revisited the X-rays and I corrected the teeth specified on the form before I signed. Second, after the teeth were extracted they asked for me to pay my portion of the bill. No problem, I gave them my card and they charged me. Driving home I realized that they charged me as if they extracted two impacted teeth (under the gums) and one non impacted tooth. This was incorrect and I called them on the way home letting them know I could turn around so they can refund me for overcharging me. The girl on the phone said they’d correct it and once the insurance paid their portion and I’d have a balance on my account they’d pay me back. Next I get my EOB from insurance showing what they charged my insurance and they DID NOT fix their mistake. I called them about it. The first time I spoke to someone and she argued with me telling me that they removed two impacted teeth and one on the surface. I then had to call the orthodontist that referred me to them because that would be a big issue if my son was missing two permanent teeth. The orthodontist had to call the doctor directly to finally get a response, letting me know that they only removed one permanent tooth. The doctor told the Orthodontist that they would correct the issue and it was just because the letters were different with their billing system and my insurance. They told the orthodontist they call me back and they never did. So I had to call them directly days later where they told me they were going to send something to correct the issue with insurance. Again, later on I had to reach out to them asking them when I would be getting my refund for overpaying yet I was told that I did not need to get a refund because I had a zero balance. To which I was confused because they owed me money and I let them know that. I continued speaking to people at call centers that didn’t understand what they were doing. I also called the insurance company and had them call the doctors office as well to get them involved because of this issue. After months of going back-and-forth with their office, I finally spoke to someone named Phoebe. Phoebe did not seem to work in their call center, but worked directly in The office. She actually understood what I was saying when I described to her everything that happened and even sent me an email quoting how much they were to pay me back once the insurance paid them out. Again, months later I reached out to them asking when I would get the refund or if I could speak to Phoebe being told that I would get a call back and I never received one. After charging my insurance multiple times, I have never received my refund, and I have never received a phone call back. I have had to call every single time and never have actually received the money that they owe me. I want to warn everybody about this office because I was a biller in a dental office for years. I specifically billed procedures out to insurance companies that were being done on patients. I know what I am talking about when it comes to this billing process and these people are overcharging many patients that are unknowingly overpaying. And at this point, it’s safe to assume you’ll never get your stolen money back. I gave them a year to correct what they did wrong. Which is more than fair. So here I am at last, writing this review. This is a very disappointing experience and I do not recommend this office for anyone.

Experiencia negativa: The office manager, Stephanie, is an absolute horrible person. I've been dealing with severe mouth pain and she is refusing to let me speak with my dentist. Every time I come in or call, she is so completely unprofessional with the absolute worst attitude. I'm switching dentists, and you can believe I'm getting a hold of someone higher up that will hold her accountable. 0-10 would not recommend!!

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter has an upcoming wisdom tooth extraction procedure. I cannot say enough good things about the receptionist there. She has been absolutely wonderful throughout the scheduling process by being incredibly kind, thoughtful, and transparent about what to expect. I also work in a customer service role and have done reception work. I know that, oftentimes, they are underappreciated. This amazing woman deserves recognition.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give this oral surgery practice a zero, I would. My 89 year old cancer patient Mother was referred to them for an extraction of a root left in her mouth after a tooth broke. Dr. Oglander convinced her to allow him to place an implant, even though her dentist had a plan in place for replacing the tooth. She was charged well over $3000. My Mother didn’t fully understand what was happening. And was not given time to think about it or to talk with family. She is on hospice and still has just the implant post, which takes months to heal. And if she gets a tooth to attach to the implant, it will be much more money that should be going for her end-of-life care. Shame on Southwest Oral Surgery! Do not trust them! Update: The office manager Stephanie called my terminally ill Mother today and bullied her! My Mother has brain cancer and this person confused her and frightened her so badly! They know they should call me with any questions/concerns - instead this woman chose to intimidate a very ill 89 year old!i

Experiencia negativa: We had a bad experience there last year, the dr was so distracted and not focused on my husband,that he just said he was done forgot to come out and tell me that he needed an antibiotic. Then the next day the pain would not go away we went back and there was bone that needed to be removed and that's when we found out about the antibiotic. Then he insured us that upper teeth does not get dry socket,so 2 days later we asked to see a different dr he said dry socket. So why now. I just called there to a different tooth removed with a different dentist,but the lady that answered was incredibly rude and all asked was if they had openings tomorrow? I would not recommend them to anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: We were able to get scheduled quickly to have wisdom teeth removed. The staff at Southwest oral surgery in Fenton were so nice and friendly. And the day of surgery again such friendly nice people. Dr Kramer came in and explained the process and his bedside manor with me and my 16 year old daughter was great. Getting four wisdom teeth removed was so quick -before I knew it they called me back to sit with her in recovery- like no more than 1 hr walking in to walking out.

I came in for two molars extractions, terrified nine weeks pregnant, him and his staff went above and beyond to make me comfortable. The nurse even held my hand talking me through the procedure which took a whole minute when extractions started, it was amazing. I would recommend him to anyone scared of any type of oral surgery.

Experiencia fantástica: ANGELS! I went to an urgent dental care who referred me to Southwest Oral Surgery. I had been in SO much pain from my wisdom teeth tearing up the inside of my mouth on one side. I couldn't eat, sleep, or chew and could barely talk and drink. They were able to get me in the day after my referral! Dr. Collins and her team, from walking through the door to everyone else, were kind and empathetic to the fact that I was especially nervous. They even made me feel normal (instead of criticizing my nervousness). Not only did Dr. Collins remove all four of my wisdom teeth, she even somehow fixed my cheek and the portion of gum that were all torn up. The mild pain and soreness from the procedure (which was less than an hour) are MILES better than where I was at the day of my surgery and the days before. I am incredibly grateful to everyone at Southwest for their amazing service, but the real game changer is having this pain gone. Thank you all!!

Experiencia positiva: The blonde at thr front desk was rude. The other girl was very nice. Dr. Repi ok. The only thing about him that I didn't like was he wouldn't LISTEN TO ME when I was talking to him. He was rude. That is not good bedside manner ( I'm in Healthcare) he needs to let patients talk . Then answer or clear up what was said. Listening to the patient or patients parents is the right thing to do. NOT INTERRUPTING. NOT LETTTING THE PATIENT OR PARENT TALK. THAT IS WHAT TURNED ME OFF ABOUT HIM. And he needs to stop freaking his patients out on the potential permanent problems after extractions. Especially if they are kids. My son is freaked out now . Thanks Dr. Dr. Orlander was great . But they gave me 1 price then when I went to get procedure done the STAFF FAILED to inform me that the price had tripled . So they did the procedure without telling me of price change and i only had had so much on my insurance I could spend. And they knew this and still didn't tell me . And I addressed it with the office manager and she pretty much said so what. Surgeon was good office was horrible. And they committed fraud regarding my quote.

Experiencia negativa: Update: even more problems: I was comparing two different oral surgery practices...After the other practice told me that my consultation would be free, Southwest oral surgery aaid they offered free consultations as well. I chose this practice bc they could get my son in a couple of weeks sooner. They ended charging my insurance for the "free consultation," taking one of my two insurance paid office visits for the year. I didn't realize this so I took my son to his regular dentist and now I have a bill since insurance was already charged by them. Called their billing department and was sent to talk to office manager. Office Manager claims there's no way anyone would have said that bc they don't do that basically dismissing what I was told. Sorry but would have went with the other practice if I would have known I was going to be charged, especially after specifically asking this question upon scheduling. He didn't even offer to look into what I was told and basically told me too bad, even after the biller I just spoke to said they "sometimes do free consultations." Overall disappointed with this group and wouldn't recommend them. I will be informing my regular dentist and orthodontist about my experience as well. Original review: Took my 11 year old son here today for 4 baby teeth extractions. ***This could have been done at his normal dentist office; however, our pediatric dentist suggested that we visit an oral surgeon due to his severe dental anxiety.*** We did a consultation with southwest oral surgery and explained that our son had severe dental anxiety from the beginning. It was suggested to use nitrous oxide to calm him first, and then an IV to put him to sleep to extract the teeth. I asked about additional anxiety medicine again during scheduling and they assured me that nothing would be needed. As soon as my son sat in the exam chair, his anxiety began to kick in and he was crying rather loud. At first I was embarrassed but then I realized he was having an anxiety attack. There was a sweet blonde girl who tried to offer him a toy to calm him down (thank you, you really seem like a kind person) but it unfortunately went downhill from there. In particular, one girl with dark brown hair told him that he “was going to scare all of their other patients and that he had to stop.” She didn’t seem to care about him as a patient, just the fact that he was making a scene and was slowing them down. She did try to explain the iv process and that it wasn’t going to be that big of a deal but seemed to get frustrated because my son was already past the point of listening. She also seemed to be frustrated because they placed electrodes on him and he didn’t understand what they were and they had to take them off and “use a different brand.” They placed nitrous oxide over his face without warning and he began to scream that he couldn’t breathe and he said “no, no, no, please no” and one the same girl said “you can’t scream at me like that.” He asked if he could have a second to calm down first and they continued to tell him that they couldn’t take the nitrous oxide off, even though it had only been on a few seconds at this point. I am sad to have witnessed the before care, but I’m so glad that I did. My maternal instinct was to have them pause for him to calm down. I wish I would have advocated for my son in the moment because he will probably remember how they made him feel today for the rest of his life. The entire situation was traumatic and disappointing, especially because his dental anxiety was brought up multiple times prior to the surgery, that’s the whole reason we came to an oral surgery center. He just needed some time to calm down but they said “no.” The surgery was quick and the dr and after care were wonderful so I guess that’s a positive. ****If you are choosing an oral surgeon for a child with dental anxiety, my advice would be to not go here. Find an oral surgery center who specializes in pediatrics. ****

Experiencia fantástica: I chose Dr. Collins because I feel more comfortable with female providers. I was seen for a consultation about my wisdom teeth. Dr. Collins was kind, professional, and most importantly honest. She took the time to explain the pros and cons of removing my wisdom teeth. I have had other dentists and oral surgeons try to pressure me to get my wisdom teeth removed when they weren’t causing me any problems and I believe they just wanted my money. Dr. Collins made me feel that keeping my wisdom teeth and monitoring the situation was a valid choice. I decided not to get them removed at the moment, but if they do end up causing problems Dr. Collins is the only person I would want to remove them. Thanks Dr. Collins!

Experiencia negativa: I had previously gone to a more expensive oral surgeon but decided to try sw oral surgery this time. I had a 9:15 appointment and was to be there at 9 which I was. I sat and waited in the waiting room till 11:00 and then I left! That was ridiculous I made my appointment 3 weeks in advance so they weren’t just fitting me in. Whenever I went to the receptionist to see what was going on I was given one excuse after another. I will NEVER darken their doorway again.

Experiencia fantástica: I have previously sent a great review for this facility. I am writing now for my friend, Doug Reed. His DDS could not entirely extract one of his teeth- and was going to have him wait 1 week to "try again". He was in pain. Called Sara Jones at SW Oral Surg that helped me in the past. She was very empathetic and kind enough to go out of her way check with her doctors and they got him in the NEXT day and properly extracted the remainder of the tooth and he got the proper meds to be pain free. These doctors-and Sara- are very kind and professional. He (and I) will see our regular DDS again - but will ONLY see these doctors for any future extractions.

Experiencia negativa: I think about this place a lot, and it's high time I left a review. I was referred here several years ago by a concerned dentist wanting a second opinion. The doctor treating me here looked in my mouth for about 60 seconds and then just Googled my symptoms. I know he Googled them because he literally handed me a print-out of the Google results page. His "diagnosis" was an untreatable blood disease that would have been diagnosed to me at birth. That was obviously not what was wrong with me, but he then proceeded to tell me there was nothing to be done and to have a good life...eventually went to a dentist in Chicago for this problem, found I had something very treatable, and am completely fine now. So in my experience, this institution charged me a huge amount of money for an incorrect Google diagnosis. Not impressed, and actually really sad because this probably has happened to other folks, too. Based on my experience, I would recommend anyone curious about this place to keep searching for a more reliable oral care institution. Edit: AND I see their accountability is lacking. They "searched their records" for me in an attempt to discredit my review by claiming I have not visited their practice. Medical offices put records older than four or five years into deep storage, and I was there a decade ago. I maintain that this practice is a menace to the profession, and I strongly encourage you find another oral surgery practice who will treat you with respect and dignity, and hold themselves to the highest standards in care and professionalism.

She also told the dr. She was not numb, once again , ignored. Wife was in pain and tears when I went back to recovery. Please don’t take someone you care about to this doctor.

Experiencia negativa: * See photo for proof* Without even going in for my wisdom tooth extraction, I am absolutely positive that this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Unfortunately I cannot name the receptionist, as she was rude and never stated her name. I was verbally told things that, being a first time surgery patient, is far too much to know without having some written form of confirmation (which I still NEVER received). The receptionist was so busy trying rush me off the phone that she never confirmed our appointment time or discussed insurance with me (their brochure clearly states this will be discussed WHEN BOOKING) and it never was. She even had an attitude when I was trying to clarify if they took my insurance even though claims were sent to a different state. Her lack of effective communication resulted in me missing my surgery and when I called her back, she didn’t try to rectify the situation. She simply said, “sorry we’re booking out to January of 2024.”Their brochure also has no specification of morning or evening time frames. Being told they were highly rated and flexible I assumed we could schedule something to work around my 9am-5pm career, apparently that was not the case, and I only figured this out after my appointment. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy solely based on my experience via phone call. My initial booking call with the Crestwood location made me unsure if I even trusted these folks with my life. If you want to improve your company and customer experience, please train your staff accordingly on how to navigate client conversations and rectification (especially when the miscommunication was not on the paying customer’s end).

Experiencia positiva: I got my wisdom tooth pulled without anesthesia and that experience was fine. However, they ran out of plastic syringes to give me to take home for my recovery. They also sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy. Also, their estimate for my out of pocket payment was significantly lower than what they later charged me. When I sent an email requesting a breakdown of the high cost, I did not receive a reply. However, my bill suddenly dropped by $315.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Tony Kramer came in after I was prepped and had a 3D x-ray and I found him to be extremely friendly, way past over knowledgeable I mean he explained things to me that I didn't even think I had a question about and the surgery to install a post for a tooth later on was so quick and so easy I didn't even realize it was over with. It was relaxing his staff is extremely friendly it was really cool that they were open on a Saturday and I can't say enough good about this place If you need any type of dental surgery or anything like this, this would be the place to go!

Experiencia positiva: I don’t know it’s it’s God looking out for me because he knows when it comes to dentist or anything related to my teeth I’m Ray Charles and try to avoid it at all cost! I went in and had a consult Dr. Reti was to the point and offered me to ask questions I had none. Day of the surgery everything went as planned, actually even better! I meet 3 wonderful associates there Amy, Mariah and Cynthia! One got me hooked up the monitors the other conversed with me to get me comfortable and the other held my hand when Dr. Reti administered the IV. This procedure had me so nervous and scared of the after effects. Dr. Reti explained the procedure before we started and got busy, lol. To be quite honest there were make after effects the bleeding and swelling subsided after a few hours. This was literally the best experience and this office has my trust for anything dental related! The only thing I would change is the available, they stay booked because they are so good but I would like to recommend a waiting list because I was in playing for wills before I was able to get in.

Experiencia negativa: Take their estimates of out of pocket expenses with a HUGE grain of salt. Their office staff in Fenton doesn't know what they doing and quoted me a fee of 20 dollars. I questioned it at the time but was assured this is how my policy read. When the bill came back for 700+, I called and questioned them about this wonderful little surprise and I was told it was my fault for not checking their work. Took the issue to the state's attorney but their response was always the same. Not our fault and no apology for the incompetence of their staff or the misleading nature of their "estimate".

Experiencia fantástica: This place is phenomenal. My fiancé had to have full extractions and it was terrifying to us and we were worried sick planning this endeavor. They worked with us, tolerated my endless questions and put him at ease. Dr. Oglander called to check on him each time as there were two procedures. The doctor was conservative with the procedures and took great care to reassure us both while doing excellent quality work.

Experiencia negativa: I had a balance of $1.38. I sent a check. It was never cashed and all of a sudden i owed $200 and they are sending me to collections? Absaloutely tasteless business approach. I have 3 kids whom all have to see an oral surgeon and when the office referred us to Southwest oral surgery, we kindly declined. I refuse to take my children to a business based on greed.

Experiencia negativa: Referred by another dentist who sent X-rays. Had to have “second” set of X-rays. Spent less than 10 minutes with the doctor who couldn’t not do the procedure. Sent me to another dentist. Great service. All for the tidy sum of $300.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the best place in St. Louis to get your wisdom teeth out! I went here 2 months ago to get all 4 of my wisdoms out. The staff is super sweet and even offered me a blanket and it helped ease my anxiety. My surgeon was super friendly and all of the staff were very thorough with information before/after my procedure. I got the general anesthesia with the laughing gas and my procedure took roughly 30 minutes—which is really quick!! Honestly, I felt like the procedure took only 5 minutes but time definitely flies when you're asleep hahaha. My healing process went pretty smoothly too—definitely listen to their post-surgery instructions and you’ll be fine!! A couple of times I got worried and called the office and they always reassured me! I definitely recommend this office if you ever need to get your wisdoms removed. :)

Experiencia positiva: The visit was very quick and everyone was nice which was fine. We really liked the nurse that took care of my husband in post op after getting all 4 wisdom teeth removed. My problem comes after the visit. We told the nurses when we were there not to prescribe vicadin because it does not work for my husband, but that’s what was at the pharmacy anyways. They wouldn’t tell me what they prescribed while we were in the office. So we had to call the after hours line since he was in a ton of pain with no medicine to help, so they sent CVS a new prescription. Not their fault but CVS was out so we needed it sent to a different pharmacy and that’s where the issue comes in. We’ve been trying since last night to get this completed to no avail. Never heard from anyone, so we called this morning and they said they’d work on it. No updates. Call again to follow up and she said they’ll get it approved right away, then calls be back and said the script was sent over to Walgreens at 10am when it was approved (it is now 11:45ish) but Walgreens never had anything. I called walgreens to double check and they said that they had just received the prescription two minutes before I called, so basically while I was on the phone. We went here because it was bordering an emergency and we needed in quickly since my husband was in pain and they are in our insurance network but not sure I would recommend it or go again. Like I said the nurses and people were nice but it doesn’t seem very organized and this whole situation was irritating especially since he’s just been in pain for over 24 hours.

Experiencia positiva: I had a molar removed. I already had X-rays from another dentist that was taken two days prior to the removal. Southwest's dentist took less than three minutes to pull it with zero complications. The office charged me $287.00 for three minutes of work, for one tooth and no X-rays!? Now, less than a year after the date of my tooth removal they are threatening to send it to collections. I just wish I would of known they were going to charge me that much before I let them remove it.

Experiencia negativa: I was referred here by my regular dentist. I wanted general anesthesia for a tooth extraction. Not only did they not use general anesthesia, or even laughing gas, they did it with 2 numbing shots. I kept saying ouch and he finally asked if I could feel what they were doing. I said yes, he stuck me with more numbing, whichI could feel. Then continued. I also said I had requested general anesthesia and he said oh, well, I guess we didn't get that info. It was on the referral. Why tell me in advance my copay would be over $500 because of anesthesia, then claim you didn't know. My copay wound up being $31 and my blood sugar flew up because of the adrenaline and shaking I went through. I was in tears. Edit: it is now 6 hrs post removal and I still don't have mpain meds because the Dr hasn't called the pharmacy back yet

Experiencia negativa: Wisdom tooth extraction went fine. Dealing with their billing department for 6 months after was a nightmare. That is how long it took for me to get their office to correctly submit a claim to my insurance. I had to spend hours on the phone going back and forth between this office and my insurance carrier. A conference call with the office manager and a rep with Guardian Dental got very heated after I was accused by Dan of not knowing what I was talking about. He got very loud and animated and would not let me speak so I let him have it. His response was to hang up on me and the insurance rep. Claim was finally paid, late fees removed. Needless to say, I won't be back.

Experiencia negativa: I did not have a good experience here having a molar removed and probably will not be returning for any future dental work. In August I had to have a molar removed due to having internal resorption. Six months later I went for a regular routine cleaning at my dentist and they found out that the doctor drew who performed my operation left the roots of the tooth inside my gum line. So I had to make another appointment to have them removed. I do not understand why this was not noticed when I first initially had my appointment but regardless I am pretty disappointed in the care that I received considering that I spent Alot of money to have this tooth removed.

Very little pain considering the amount of work he had done. I very highly recommend this place. Will be back for my daughter.

Experiencia fantástica: Not only were they the only ones covered by my insurance, but they also use local instead of general . Which due to Moyamoya disease I can only receive general in a hospital with a neurosurgeon and IVR on staff 24/7. I felt so much better after my tooth was removed and he even called me later that day to check in on me. I was supposed to have $0 copay, according to insurance but received a bill later for $90. I paid it because I was just happy to have been able to do it outpatient.

I had major pain couldn't eat and pain was major. I opted for anesthesia and went in they made me feel super comfortable and they worked together like a clock. Experiencia fantástica: I showed up to Southwest Oral Surgery in a lot of pain from my dentists office... he called them and they took me right away. My tooth needed to be pulled and the staff went into action. I was very stressed out and filled with anxiety, but the staff helped me right away. Blasted me through my paperwork, got me in the chair and had me numb in no time! The person (younger woman, didn't get her name) and Sammi were amazing, calmed me down a lot and let me know I was going to get help. Dr. Brett (not sure of last name) calmed me down even more, explained every single thing he was going to do and pulled my tooth out with much care. There was another person in the room when my tooth was getting pulled and she was making sure I was comfortable with suction and wiping my mouth. It's never fun going to get something like this done, but I was super happy this office was there, professional, calming and friendly... even the recovery room and check out was pleasant. One more thing, Dr. Brett called me later that night to check on me which was super nice! He was making sure I was ok and if I had any questions, can't thank this office enough... I really hope I don't need this service any time soon, but if I do I will go out of my way to go to Southwest Oral Surgery without a doubt!
