Experiencia fantástica: I have been a patient at Great Expressions Dental Center in the Colony since they were Marsh Ridge Family Dental. I liked Dr. Mitchell Rosen who is no longer there at their center in the Colony. It had been some time and I was due for a cleaning and exam. I recently came in for a cleaning and thorough examination including X-rays. I met Dr. Shilpa Singh and she was absolutely wonderful. My teeth were thoroughly cleaned and two small cavities were filled. I also bought a mouth guard that was tailored for a perfect fit. I’m glad I stayed with Great Expressions Dental Center and I look forward to seeing them for my regular dental appointments in the future. Five well earned stars.

Experiencia fantástica: Broke tooth on Wednesday evening. They got me in on Thursday. Determined I needed a Root Canal and Crown. They were able to get me up and running in 2 hours. One more follow up appointment to finish me up. This was a pretty major break. I would definitely recommend them.

Experiencia negativa: Front desk staff is very nice, the dentist that we saw was very rude, however. I don’t know his name, he didn’t introduce himself. He was a younger man though. I was there for my 5 year old son. Terrible bedside manner and didn’t do a proper inspection of my son’s mouth. He just walked in the room looked at me and went to my son and said “open your mouth”. Maybe he should avoid pediatric dental patients since he has a very cold demeanor.

When it came to pricing, they explained Everything. They let me know what was really needed and the stuff that I can do without for the time being, and this made my visit much more affordable. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Kaur and Maria the medical assistant were great! They worked closely together to perform my dental procedures. I experienced virtually no discomfort. Dr. Kaur was patient and explained what she was doing as she proceeded. Maria was a considerable asset as well as they performed the procedures. I was very pleased with this dental visit and hope if I need future dental work of this capacity, I will be fortunate to have Dr. Kaur and Maria again to perform the work.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve never had a more difficult time with billing. They charged us for a filling they said would be free (they did it wrong the first time) and also wrote down our health insurance wrong, so charged us for an appointment that was covered. We talked to them at least 6 times to fix both the insurance error and the filling. Each time they agreed that there was an error and they said they would fix it. Only for us to receive another bill with no changes a week later. Finally, my wife just caved and paid it because they were getting threatening about collections.

Experiencia negativa: AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! I recently came here after not having insurance for a couple years. I was already skeptical coming here with the reviews, but came anyways since this was one of the only places near me that would accept my insurance. Woman working front desk gets 5 stars, super nice! After that it goes down. Place was dirty, you could see hair on the machine, splatter marks on wall, bathroom looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. Woman who took my X-rays was not skilled enough, she literally bruised the inside of my mouth from putting the pieces in weird/uncomfortable positions. Then they come to check my teeth, and inform me that I need a deep cleaning and that a basic cleaning isn’t allowed since I’ve already been diagnosed with needing a deep cleaning. On top of that it would cost about $750. I have never been told by any dentist that my teeth need a deep cleaning regardless of how far I go between cleanings, I was blown away. I declined the service. I went back to my old dentist, and paid out of pocket to get a second opinion. They were shocked that I was told I need a deep cleaning. My dentist said I wasn’t even near needing one. This place is trying to rip you off!! Trust your gut and go somewhere else!

Experiencia negativa: I was told that I would get my cleaning done but I was asked to consider deep cleaning. I drove 30 minutes to get cleaning done and hygienist refused to do so. I told them I would increase on brushing and flossing while also implementing night guard to see if it improves my condition but they didn’t respect my time or my concern for anxiety getting deep cleaned. If they had provided periodontal cleaning, I would have considered setting up for deep cleaning for next time. It made me feel like it’s all about money and not about patient’s concern or time. After today’s visit I will not consider or recommend this place/GE to any of my families or friends.

Experiencia negativa: While the staff is nice, the company tries to get as much money out of you as possible. For my first appointment, I was in their office for over 3 hours. Finally getting to the payment, they indicated that my bill was going to be much higher than previously agreed upon. As such, I cannot recommend this place and will be finding a new dentist. For whoever comes here; make sure to check your bills and insurance claims.

Experiencia positiva: The dental hygienists there are very thorough and work towards prevention, but they often go ahead and do services that you have to pay for without asking you first. The appointments always start late and take a while. For a first appointment, they make you do an hour long intake appointment where they do x-rays and several other things not covered by insurance. They ALWAYS find a way to charge you for something that isn’t covered by your insurance even if you come in for a cleaning. They try to do X-rays every single time you come into the office and add many optional services which you have to opt out of that insurance doesn’t cover. Watch your bills closely-they have double charged me for services before. This place is looking to scam you into spending as much money as they can possibly get out of you. Be prepared to have to say no over and over again to optional services. They will still usually sneak one in that you have to pay for.

Experiencia negativa: My appointment on December 14, 2023, for a chipped tooth at The Colony Great Expressions in Lewisville TX (Previous Appointment was June 15, 2023-Ck Up) at Noon. The manager of office failed to contact my Dental Insurance (Solstice Co for 2023) to inform me that the New Dr. Sumit Kaur in office is not "In-Network" for me from previous Dr Kim. Not knowing that Dr Sumit Kaur was not part of my insurance network plan was overlooked, so I paid 100% of my procedure for a crown on my tooth. I am retired and on a fixed income and was forced to pay (1/2) $525.00 on December 14, 2023, and other (1/2) $550.00 on January 05, 2024. Even on January 05, 2024, the office clerk did not advise me that Dr Sumit Kaur was still not on my Solstice Dental Plan in 2024 for the placement of my new crown and having a cavity filled. End of visit on January 05, 2024, I paid the 2nd half of crown ($550.00) plus cavity filled cost of $138.00 for a total of $688.00. I asked, if I could pay the cavity portion next month (February 2024), but the office clerk denied me of that benefit by telling me I had to pay the full amount due. After dentist appointment, I received -in the US Mail 2-Solstice Statements to reveal that my portion of the Dental Charges was 100% my responsibility, since Dr Sumit Kaur was NOT IN-NETWORK for my plan. No one at this The Colony Great Expressions Office never advised me that my 2 appointments were not being covered by my Solstice Dental Plan. I will be seeking an attorney for small claims against this office for misconduct and making the patient pay full cost without his knowledge. Terrible management. I will never seek dental care at this dental company ever again. I want some refund from my dental procedure. Thank you. Anthony

Experiencia negativa: After waiting months for you guys to get a simple billing issue fixed today it’s still unresolved. I came in with dental insurance and it’s like these guys refuse to bill my insurance, and is trying to get me to pay out-of-pocket for every single service that I received on my last visit. I even called my insurance and went over the bill that I received from great expressions and confirmed the things that were covered and we’re not covered on my visit. I paid over 100+ dollars for what was said that was not covered before I left the office on my first visit. 30 days later maybe I receive a bill for a balance of over $200 saying that I owe you all money. And the things that is on my bill is supposed to be covered by my insurance and you guys are obviously either using the wrong billing code or you guys are being fraudulent and I do not appreciate that. I’m not sure if you guys are scammers or just money hungry but you will not be receiving a payment from me because those things that you are trying to bill me are covered by my insurance. I do not recommend using great expressions because they are misleading and unprofessional.

Experiencia negativa: I didn’t want to have to leave a two star review but honestly I have to. I came in for a cleaning and to get my right upper tooth filled and got left with pain in my upper right side. I can no longer floss my teeth without feeling a pain. I had to return to have the issue “fixed” and am still having issues flossing. The sad part is one of the assistants explained she’s had a similar issue and I just have to “deal with” the pain and “get used to it.” I would rather have delt with picking food out of my unfilled tooth than have to deal with the pain I have to deal with now when I floss. I also went to another great expressions location to have endodontist (which was also upsetting because the company promotes having a endosontist but they don’t at this exact location) work done…which to no surprise I am not satisfied with. The doctor made false promises and didn’t even complete the work the way he initially promised during my first initial visit. Overall would not recommend this company as a whole to anyone. I’ll be going elsewhere for future cleaning and teeth work.

They failed to provide proper care and forced me to leave the office with my gum bleeding, among other things, as a result of the hygienist poking around in my mouth. This location is not black friendly. I have been to the other locations, which have a diverse staff, and they are extremely professional and caring. However, this location is the bad apple in the bunch. My file was transferred here because the Plano location closed permanently. At my last appointment, despite being on time, I had to wait 30 minutes to see a hygienist. Nonetheless, I sat and patiently waited. Today, I went in at 8:15, thinking that my appointment was at 8:30. However, the office manager, Madison, informed me that it is at 8:00AM (keep in mind they open at 8:00). Madison made it a big deal. I pointed out that prior I was early for my appointment and waited over 30 minutes to see someone. She expressed that she cannot control what others did on that day. However, she was the person who helped me on that day. So, in essence, it is okay for them to be late but not for a patient to be late by a mere 15 minutes. I reitterated my point and she was not happy that they were being challenged. As a result, they had me sit and waited for another 20 minutes in the lobby (punishment for challenging them) while the hygienist, Alex Ernst, sat on a computer behind the desk talking with the office manager. The hygienist, Alex Ernst, then got up almost 30 minutes later to help me. So this entire time, the hygienist that was going to help me sat there doing nothing but talking decided to help me. This is nothing but spite because I was 15 minutes late. Midway during my cleaning, the hygienist said she will have to leave to help another patient. I waited about 45 minutes in the chair with no help in mid treatment. The doctor, Vayun Kim, came in the room later, and I asked her how longer will the process take... She expressed that she was not sure and will ask the hygienist, displaying that she does not know what is going on at the office. Another employee walked in and said it will take another 15 to 20 minutes. She then pointed out that I can leave if I can't wait, knowing that I am in mid treatment. I followed the employee to the front desk where the doctor and the office manager located. They expressed no care and was very sarcastic when I voiced my concerns. I will be filing a complaint with the state against the doctor and the hygienist. This is absolutely outrageous. After I left, I called the office and expressed that my gums are bleeding as a result of what they did to my mouth and did not finish. Madison expressed NO care and said she will let the doctor know. No one called back..... A bunch on employees operating on ego and power will sink a business.

The hygienist (Tiffany) was very helpful and reassuring and the dentist (Jayun Kim) made the procedure fast and painless. Was a pleasant experience as far as getting a tooth removed can be.

Experiencia negativa: I was told months ago that a regional manager would call me. I am now having to go to other dentist to fix what they have messed up. No one will call me or talk to me. When I went in this awhile to try to talk to someone, the "manager" was trying to whisper things about me to other employees and looking down on me. I'm hoping it's not the reason I'm thinking it is. I warn you, do not go here.

Experiencia negativa: Be prepared to pay for items you don't need with the new Doctor on staff!! I went in for a routine cleaning and they would not perform the service without me getting a panoramic x-ray and paying out of pocket for it when they also were billing the insurance for regular x-rays. They said it was mandatory that every patient had a panoramic x-ray on file and that regular x-rays weren't good enough. Lol. Really?!?! I'm not dumb. I will get an MRI for my TMJ if I need it. I walked out. Don't waste your time here. Total scammers. Dentists are the new car salesmen.

Experiencia negativa: This office is a sales pitch. My worst experience at a dentist office ever. Not only did I have to reschedule my initial appointment (after I showed up at the office), when I showed up for a 12pm appt I didn’t get in til 1pm. And then after an hour of X-rays and exam with the dentist, all I got was a sales pitch and no work able to be done same day. Apparently they only do cleanings on certain days of the week. Incredibly inconvenient and no one told me that when i scheduled. Not only was it frustrating from a scheduling perspective, the dentist wanted to “refill” all my existing cavities just to be proactive, racking up almost $2k of unnecessary work. Would not recommend this office - especially with so many other options in the area.

Experiencia fantástica: I had to have an emergency wisdom tooth extraction and my experience from scheduling, to check-in, to the procedure itself was amazing! I was very leery because I had a bad experience at a past dentist with another wisdom tooth extraction and Dr. Rosen listened to my fears and explained everything start to finish. He kept me informed along the way and the extraction went very smoothly. He even checked up on me in the evening to make sure everything was okay. I have other things to get done and I'm glad I found Great Expressions in Lewisville!

From the call to make my appointment to the end of my service everything was great. Claudia was so helpful with making my appointment and I had the pleasure of meeting her today. She was amazing, explained everything to me that was going to be done. I was not expecting to have an extraction. Dr. Rosen did an amazing job. He too explained every step of the process and continued to make sure I was ok during the extraction. I think I've found my new dentist.

I have had my share of dental problems and only started seeing Dr. Rosen a few years ago, when my dentist retired. Dr. Rosen is amazing and is a perfectionist. That's a great thing to have in a dentist. He goes out of his way to find ways to achieve results that most other dentists would have sent you to a specialist for. The staff is great here. Caring and competent. Could you ask for more? I don't think so. After my latest appointments with Dr. Rosen were concluded, i took a picture of my new smile and a buddy of mine from college in another part of the country who is a retired cosmetic dentist commented that my dentist (Dr. Rosen) was an artist. Again , you can't go wrong. Very friendly and competent staff from top to bottom. Dr. Rosen is amazing and cares deeply about his patients, both their comfort and results. Given that going to the dentist is nowhere near the top of my todo list, everyone here made me feel comfortable, confident and at home. Can’t go wrong by going to this dentist!!

I was expecting to be treating more along the lines of bland routine curtesy. I was wrong! Dr. Rosen personally introduced himself and warmly welcomed me. He expressed his genuine care for my health and spoke very proudly, confidently! Something that assured me I was in good hands. The assistant had wonderful bedside manners! I was nervous but her sweet and calm words put me at ease. They didn't rush or treat me like 'just another patient.' They got to know me. They also explained things so well. Experiencia fantástica: From experience, I have learned the importance of carefully selecting a good dentist, and Dr. Rosen has been a very good choice. I've had treatment with him that included fillings, crowns and a night guard. Dr. Rosen is an experienced dentist, he listens to the patient's needs, understands concerns and is very thorough with his approach and technique. Every time I had a procedure, he called the same day for a follow up, a very personalized and unique trait. The staff at the office is also top notch; they are courteous, responsive and communicate well about scheduling, insurance and billing. Finally, the dental hygienist, is very focused and thorough with her work. I would recommend Dr. Rosen with Great Expressions to anyone who wants to address dental issues in a successful manner.

Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely love this location. The location is clean and convenient, the staff is super friendly and Dr. Rosen is AWESOME! I loved him! I was in so much pain when I got there but he was so kind and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. Needless to say, I'm no longer in pain nor was I in pain during the process. I cannot thank Dr. Rosen enough!

Although many faces have changed over the years, I've always had positive experiences and been treated fairly. I don't exactly do well with dental work but Dr. Rosen has a very calming and professional demeanor. He has to be one of the nicest guys I've ever met.

Experiencia positiva: From the time I made my appointment I was pleased with the staff. Oh yes my time to wait was extremely short. When I walked in they were friendly and very attentive. Dr. Rosen has such great bedside manner and is very thorough with explaining what is happening and discussing the options. He followed up with after the visit to make sure I was ok. I hate the dentist, but now I don’t mind coming back.
