Experiencia negativa: I always try to have high hopes for office however, I scheduled an appointment told them for what reason, got scheduled the next day they call and say we need to change the appointment cause that certain doctor won’t be there that day. I said ok changed it. I mentioned what insurance we have and not once did they say they don’t take that insurance and it’s on their site they do. So they called again to remind of the appointment I said yes we will be there. She asked for the insurance information I gave it to them and then again not once did they say we don’t take it. Got to the office for our appointment said sorry we don’t take these Insurances. I’m just like then why the hell wasn’t I told the 3-4 times you all called me on the phone. Any how it was a free consultation or as they said it was. We went back they said it what it will cost and I said no that’s outrageous high and you all don’t take our insurance. So we just left. Before you schedule appointments make sure you are in network with the insurance before giving hopes to patients. The office got full at one point with only one person at the front desk. First and last visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Well, initially, I have been to the Nashville Affordable Dentures had snap in dentures about 12 years ago. I have been at the Shelbyville office a few times. I was frustrated and I called and talked to Michael regarding a partial . I had broke mine and needed to replace it and my snap in denture as well.Michael was so helpful and nice on the phone so I scheduled and came in . From coming in the office to leaving these people are spot on professional, caring ,the two Dentist came into talk to me .Michael and the other girl up front were wonderful. I just can’t say enough about this Affordable Dentures office. Michael goes over everything with you so you don’t have any questions or surprises about how much things cost. Thank you, truly Robin. Going to Nashville to Affordable Dentures over the years I remember seeing a commercial about Affordable Dentures and a Dentist so-called Dentist talking about the Care you get from Affordable Dentures. I can honestly say with this office in Smyrna. They are what the commercial portrays.

Experiencia negativa: when i was seen in the office i came to get 2 extractions and a partial . The Lab Called Dandy really messed up in my partial when it arrive it was missing the front tooth. i was so embarrassed and frustrated i had to wear that partial until they re ordered a new one . I had to wear a mask to work for about 3 weeks maybe more than that . As i waited for the new partial to come in the Lab said they would expedite the new partial but it didn’t not come in on time i was disappointed again and had to wear that messed up partial for another 2 weeks before it finally came it . i am not the one who usually write reviews but i had to write this one because of the shame and embarrassment I went through . On a good note the staff was really great was very sweet .

I don’t understand why I was not notified previously that I needed a new bite procedure. This was very unprofessional . Now I have to wait for my dentures that were supposed to be ready the first week of May or last week of April.

The dentist/surgeon explained my treatment plan and took his time going over the procedure he will do. In the last 2 months, I have had several consultations at various dental practices, but this one was far better, with their knowledge, experience, training and professional courtesy. I'm glad I found them and they will be doing my dental treatment.

Getting dental work is often a crucial process that no one enjoys having to do. But at Affordable, they go above and beyond to ensure that it is as easy and painless as possible. Financing was super affordable and I got approved for enough with my deposit to cover the whole process and monthly payments are easily attainable and manageable. I have nothing but great things to say about them!

When one of my fillings fell out and I started experiencing severe tooth pain, I knew I needed help fast. I initially went to Aspen Dental hoping for a simple extraction, but I left feeling overwhelmed and discouraged after being presented with a $25,000 treatment plan filled with procedures I never asked for. I do understand the state of my dental health wouldn't be cheap but it just felt wrong, so I chose not to move forward there. Desperate for relief and in a lot of pain, I came here hoping they would understand my financial situation and I’m so thankful I did. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with kindness. The front desk made sure I understood everything clearly. The assistant who prepped me to see the doctor was such a joy to talk to, I felt cared for and understood. I showed her my X-rays and the quote from Aspen, and she was just as shocked as I was at all the unnecessary add-ons. When Dr. Bayan came in, I immediately felt at ease. He showed genuine concern not only for my dental health, but also for my overall wellbeing. He was even noticing things like the dryness on my eyelids. It was honestly a wake-up call. Hearing someone address my self-neglect with such gentleness and compassion almost brought me to tears. They worked with me, fit me into the schedule, and did everything they could to help me within my financial limits. During the extraction, they communicated clearly every step of the way. When I felt any discomfort, they quickly added more numbing to the area. Extractions are never fun, and I was definitely nervous (even shaking a bit), but they were efficient, thorough, and reassuring. I was in and out in under an hour. I am truly grateful I found this office. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs compassionate, honest, and quality work done. I’ll absolutely be returning here after improving my dental health so I can work toward the smile I've been wanting. Thank you, yall are truly angels.

Experiencia negativa: Warning ⚠️ this place is a total joke my wife went for a complete set of dentures she has had her last set for 6 years and this place has no idea what they are doing cost 3300 cash upfront before they would do anything. They took the molds that never even fit right to start with I will say they made the teeth and guess what they still don't fit the doctor(if that is what you want to call the guy) keeps trying to put half a tube of glue on them and saying they are good.. what a joke Attorney has been contacted and this will be dealt with all the way we work to hard for our money to be robbed.... A so called business that deals with dentures all day should know what they are doing... Beware this place will rob you upfront and throw some bubba teeth at you..

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed, they only did 7 implants at first and then after I complained about it they did 1 more and then I had to wait even longer to get done with everything. It took about 10 months to complete the whole thing, I still had to go back and complain because the 2 front teeth broke off and every time I bite down the teeth wound come loose. They still pop lose on one side when I chew. I can't believe I paid $20,000 for this! I would recommend getting the permanent implants instead of the dentures that pop out! Also I waited to post this review and I noticed that there was already a review on here that they posted for themselves to make it look like I was bragging about how good they were. So now I will lower my review another star because of that to 1! Update 1/23/24, they change my 1 star to 2 stars, I'm changing it back to 1, I would give no stars if I could. I had a 3rd tooth fall out today, very cheap dentures with the teeth just falling out. Dentures keep moving and poping lose when I eat. I will eventually go somewhere else and get the permanent dentures, save your money and look into a better place than this one! 5/8/24 I had a forth tooth fall out, I was able to get in right away and have it put it back in very quickly, very nice and friendly staff, I am updating to 2 stars for this, maybe eventually it can go back up even further! 7/9/24 had to wait a week to drop off my teeth due to tooth number 5 fell out, it only took 90 minutes to fix. How long will it be before number 6 falls out? Back to 1 star! Had tooth number 7 fall out and had to wait over 2 weeks to have it fixed. For now it will stay at 1 star, good service but the dentures are terrible!

Experiencia negativa: My 92-year-old mother and I traveled 1½ hours to have one tooth on her top dentures repaired, after being told over the phone it could likely be fixed. When we arrived, nothing was done, yet they collected a copay and made her wait a month for the appointment. We were then told by doctor or whoever, she would need a completely new set costing $5000 to $7000 despite being on a fixed income. The 3 hour round trip was exhausting, and she felt very disappointed. I found the service disappointing, unhelpful, and predatory and would never recommend this office to anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: Very enjoyable experience. Went in with a toothache that kept me awake for multiple days. Seeing how I don’t like to inconvenience anyone with my own problems I suffered silently waiting for my appointment which, to my pleasure, they happily took me in earlier. They brought me in did the initial screening stuff and shortly after the dentist noticed my discomfort and numbed me as soon as he noticed. I cannot explain how relieving this was. I appreciate so much that they noticed my pain and addressed it quickly. I wanted to cry immediately not from pain but form the lack of. They were able to remove my tooth which turned out to be more difficult than normal but dispatched of it quickly and happily. The do toe even informed me of a potential problem with some of my other teeth and recommended things and habits to make it easier on future me. Future me is grateful of this advice, and hopefully current me abides by it. Overall the experience has been a pleasure and I highly recommend this office for other stubborn people who ignore mouth problems for too long. I suppose I recommend it for people who just want to be proactive with teef health as well as they were kind and informative.

I had an unfortunate situation with my front teeth and everyone was so kind and non-judgmental with me from my free consultation and continues to be. The doctor is amazing, and his assistant is funny and sweet, always checking on his patients. When I had my surgery he checked on me very often. They’ve been great working with my schedule and especially working with my finances and a payment plan set up, or some kind of plan set up and explained it all to me. Experiencia fantástica: I went in for a free oral surgery consultation on a Friday. I was seen on time & treated with respect. Procedures & timelines were carefully explained. Dr. Shealer & his staff were all very professional & knowledgeable.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going there about two or three years and spent a lot of money on implant work. A year or so ago the facility was sold to an individual dentist/oral surgeon. The current dentist/owner is very friendly, professionally polished and has done impeccable work for me. He is patient focused and shows a lot of concern for your comfort during the process. During the transition between owners, I ran into a problem where I paid the previous owner $1,000 for work I didn’t get before they left. I tried calling them but got the runaround. So frustrating but common in business practices today. The new owner listened to my concern and ultimately took care of the problem completing the work at no charge to me. That showed solid integrity and fairness in my book. Implants are, at best, so expensive. I’m retired on a limited income and struggled to find a practice I could afford. I shopped price a lot. Some practices, especially many national chains are ridiculously high. His prices are a competitive average to a little bit above. I have more work I need but can’t pay for it all right now. So I plan, save, work part time until I can have him do it. At least I know it will be done right with no worries. I Know he cares deeply about his reputation and his patients and he does excellent work. I’m very satisfied I’m going to the right place for any dental work I will need in the future.

Experiencia fantástica: 6 months into my denture journey from consultation to final set. The entire staff has been incredible. At my first consultation, I was given the time and patience for several questions and comparisons. I was advised there were teeth that could be saved but opted for full extraction. We had a serious conversation about my choice. At my second consultation, I made changes to my original plan. Impressions and extraction dates were scheduled. This is the part where you should purchase a tiny food processor/chopper. Impressions were not very much fun. E-day went beautifully. I say that with my whole heart. There were several surgical extractions. I left with a mouth full of stitches and my temp dentures. My follow-up was scheduled for the next day. The bottom denture was not fitting correctly. The next business day, my bottom was remoulded. It's a 3 appt in 1 day situation. The bottoms fit much better. Over the next couple of months, there were several adjustment appointments. This is necessary as the healing process leads bone loss, causing the gums to reshape. Those adjustments were fewer, and further between after the first couple of months. Trust the process. Educate yourself beforehand. Communicate your concerns. Around the 6 month mark, it will be time for permanent dentures. It's kind of a wash, rinse, repeat situation, minus extractions. New impressions with a whole new round of adjustments. The team at Affordable Dentures and Implants Smyrna has been amazing. I followed instructions and did tons of research. Yes, it was a challenge to learn to speak properly again. Yes, I struggled to eat for a while. No, neither of those challenges were their responsibility. Experiencia negativa: Been working with this office for approximately 3 years now. Dr. Shealer and front office staff are pleasant and Dr is gentle. The doctor before, who started my journey was like visiting a torture chamber and the staff was rude. My issue NOW and THEN, however, is the poor quality of work and the inability to rectify issues. I revisited multiple times with issues, and my dentures just kept breaking. Not from dropping or misuse, but around the connection site of the implant. I Don't wear them at home cause they hurt. Had them patched about three weeks ago and while out of town this past weekend they broke again. Desperately, I put a touch of glue to manage this emergency issue and made an appointment for the next day. I was then told I voided my warranty because I fixed them myself.THEY ARE NOT FIXED!! They are still cracked.I was also in a few weeks prior because of this same isssue and one of my implants fell out a few week prior to that. I was told I needed to pay $200+ dollars because my insurance would not cover replacing that implant. I should have checked directly with my insurance because upon calling them to make a complaint about my most recent incident they advised me they would cover. Also after having a verbal altercation with a Dr Jabari or something similar, he promised to have office manager to call to further discuss because he could not and I quote ,"not focus on my issue" because of my spouses phone reaction to this nightmare. A day and a half later I am still waiting. RUN don't walk in a different direction and look for another dental office. I tried to be patient but use them at your own risk. I did and i highly regret it. Read their reviews. I also made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will be contacting the ADA. POOR QUALITY. NUMEROUS UNRESOLVED ISSUES. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. If I could give zero stars to make my coment I would!!!!!! I will make it my mission to inform others of this travesty. And I will be making flyers to distribute to my neighbors and work friends to ensure they know the deal. UPDATE 11/7/24 Yet to hear from office manager. Meanwhile took my dentures to another dentist who repaired at no charge to me. I will be working with them to replace said dentures being they are riddled with cracks in both top and bottoms (inpending future disaster). 12/4 Update Well not shockingly this time, another abutment came out, into my mouth. New dentist reinstalled and has warned me of the visibly poor cracked and damaged condition of both the top and bottom dentures. Funny part is, i am retired and do not wear them all day on a dairy basis. Good thing huh? Gonna need a whole new set after just 2 years. Better read through ALL comments posted, not just the lucky ones or people with serious dental issues. BE SURE TO READ THEIR WARRANTY. It is very tricky. See other comments not just mine. UPDATE 12/18 Will I visited Dr Shealer last week because now my bottom denture is cracked in several places. I wanted to see if they had any real concern for the caliber of dentures they produced for me. He stated that even though I did not put anything or do anything to that denture my warranty was still voided because it is considered a set. Charged me a $25 consultant fee to tell me what I expected from them. Told me he would fix, but it would cost me $180. Took them to another dentist and had them repaired for $150. Did not make sense to me to let them repair because I can see it is all about money and erroneous charges, not about me as a patient. Oh and guess what?! A tooth fell out of the top denture today. These dentures have litterally disintegrated.!! Contacting the ADA today because this is a total travesty. Also looking for a lawyer because it is extremely important to me that practices like this are monitored and corrected. In this world today, i might not win this fight but the warnings will be made public so hopefully they will no longer be able to treat people in the manner I am having to endure. Sorry for the 1 star rating. It is the lowest i could give. Deserves a -5.
