Experiencia negativa: I went to Coast Dental for the first time in August for a cleaning. I was shown a breakdown of what my costs were and what my insurance would cover and eventually was also told I needed a deep cleaning and told my insurance would cover 50%. My insurance denied the claims because the items Coast claimed it covered are not a part of my coverage. For a deep cleaning and standard x-rays, I am now on the hook for over $900. Coast has been sending me texts and emails twice a week with a bill for over $500 and to date, I have not been able to get a live person on the phone to discuss the bill despite multiple phone calls and messages. They will not stop texting and emailing me the same bill over and over again. They are clearly a large company not interested in customer service or in taking the time to verify insurance properly.

Experiencia positiva: I love the doctor and all his workers. However the scheduling system is way messed up. They constantly send wrong info and fail to cancel appointments. The system texts mixed up messages with appointments which have been changed.

Experiencia negativa: Worst dental office I’ve been too. So disorganized and unprofessional. My appointment was scheduled 2 weeks ahead for 10:30am and the day of, they send me a message to show up at 12pm??? What’s the point of scheduling? And why didn’t anyone call me to notify the change. I didn’t get attended till 12:45pm so what’s the point of an appointment. This is my second visit and I’m here to pick up my mouth guard at 3pm. They close at 4pm and there were 5 guests waiting to be attended. 1 guest told the lady to reschedule her because she was tired of waiting, another guest walked angrily because of the wait, another guest came in and they lost her paperwork so she was frustrated she had to fill new paperwork. I was attend at 3:45pm. Anyway, thanks but I will not return to this location or any Coast Dental.

Experiencia negativa: Wish I could give this place more than a 1 star because their hygienists have been great BUT the receptionist are always terrible. I've gotten my appointments rescheduled without them notifying me. I find out because l get new confirmation texts with different dates. They send a confirmation text but if you don't confirm right away THEY change your appointment without notifying you. They've also scheduled me on days they've been closed. The receptionist left me a vm from a different # -I don't answer unk callers- to reschedule because they were closed on the '1st' but I wasn't scheduled for the 1st, I was scheduled for the 5th. I got the confirmation text AND email, I confirmed, showed up and they were closed. I left them a VM and 3 days later NO CALL back at all. I didn't go for over a year but I consistently got reminders for checkups and cleaning so when I finally called 1 day after an email, the receptionist told me they couldn't perform my checkup because they didn't have any hygienists employed so they weren't taking any appointments ‍♀️

I scheduled an appointment only for them to call me later and cancel the appointment due to my insurance. There is a lack of communication. I could only imagine how they treat patients once there.

Experiencia negativa: The absolute worst! I have been trying to get in for my dental cleaning and check up since the beginning of the year. They keep cancelling on me and rescheduling for later dates saying they didn’t have a hygienist. It is now June and I finally thought I had an appointment and was contacted to say that they no longer accept my insurance the week before. Beyond Ridiculous!!!!

Experiencia negativa: Terrible crooks! Charged my aunt over $100 for her first appointment . They took r rays and didn't even do anything. They should've told her how much it would've been upfront for X-rays alone and given her an opportunity to go somewhere else. They take advantage of elderly people. I definitely wouldn't recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff at Coast Dental are AMAZING! From the minute I walked in,Jennifer,the receptionist, greeted me with a smile. When I told her that I am still very nervous about being there (I have had bad experiences with other dentists in general) she immediately let me know that my proceedure was not as bad as I thought. Then once I got to the back the dental hygenist Rajveer was so understanding of my fears! She went over my proceedure with me thoroughly,answered all my questions and made sure I wass comfortable throughout the entire proceedure! After it was all over, Ebony the office manager made it very easy to hand over my card to pay with her easy going,friendly demeanor! lol I acn say without a doubt that this was the best experience that I have had at a dentist office!

Experiencia negativa: I gave him a 1 cause that’s as low as I can put. Dr. K. Llobachie is the rudest,unfriendly no bed side manners and EXTREMELY RACIEST AGAINST WHITE PEOPLE! Would not refer a poor street DOG to this man.

Experiencia fantástica: I'm very happy with my first visit to Coast Dental in Powder Springs. Everyone I met there was friendly and helpful. I had lots of questions, and each staff member took the time to explain their answers. I was shown the cost breakdown before the work began. Also, their Smile Plus program lowered my costs today and for the next year of visits!

Experiencia negativa: I scheduled an appointment with this play in April. They sent the paperwork link and I confirmed my appointment. I took half a day of work to go. I get there and they tell me they are no longer taking new patients with my insurance. Then she say we tried to reach out to you on the 1st. She says let me verify your number. It was the correct number. Nobody EVER called to tell me this. And all you can do is offer an apology. Not good business.

I was able to receive same day treatment thanks to Dr. Kingsley and his wonderful assistant Mahalia. Mahalia made sure I was comfortable and explained the whole procedure and payment process thoroughly. She definitely made my experience at the dentist office a great one. Experiencia negativa: Coast Dental has been cancelling my appointments for many months both at this location and others. They do not treat HMO appointments like they treat other appointments and it is shameful. Either stop taking HMO plans entirely or provide your patients the level of service they deserve.

Experiencia negativa: The experience was awful, the pain and anguish i have received is unreal. i just don't have enough space to really put what i need to say but PLEASE DO NOT USE COAST DENTAL OF POWDER SPRINGS. my mouth got infected and they told me it was my fault i was on antibiotics for 14 days i was miserable and in so much pain then They charged my card $530.68 when it should have only been $5.30 and told me i should have notified them the same day now it will be 8 weeks to get a refund, This was November 2, 2023 I still have not received my refund and they want return calls, not even corporate. theres so much more i could tell you that happened but it will take to long etc..Thanks for listening and always do your homework this is what happens when you don't.

Experiencia negativa: None of my visits were good. There was always something off and the assistant with the creepy contacts was always involved. I decided to go to a new practice and when I saw my xrays it was absolutely clear as day that my crown was not done correctly. First the crown came off and I had to go back for the repair. Now years later my xrays show that the crown leaves a significant amount of space at the gum line which = $800 bill to fix. I bleed every time I floss that area and it makes me livid at Coast Dental. What w coincidence that my husband has the same issue with this company. If you want quality care and good customer service do NOT come here.

Experiencia negativa: They say they take Tricare. They don’t. I always had to pay. They didn’t submit all of the costs to my insurance. When I asked why, they stated because it’s something they do in house and they know insurance won’t cover it. When I went through all of the charges with Tricare they stated coast dental was charging me for unnecessary procedures and using the wrong codes for the other procedures. Tricare covers anesthesia however coast said it’s their in house version that they don’t bill to insurance. Tricare sent them a response asking for the right codes and a narrative to explain the unnecessary procedures and coast dental never responded. To avoid paying over $1000 in charges I drove the 2 hours to base. I don’t recommend this location or dental organization for active duty personnel.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent customer service from the beginning to the end. The waiting room wasn't overflowing. As patients entered the door, we spent and acceptable amount of time in the waiting area. Once called to the room, the staff was ready to start care. The staff was very knowledgeable of their individual discipline. The doctor discussed his recommended plan of care. He made sure to take into consideration what the patient voiced about their plan, also. I have Humana Medicare Gold Plus insurance. I was impressed as to how much my insurance would pay towards what I needed. Overall impressed with Coast Dental-Powder Springs.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Coast Dental today to get 2 extractions, one of them I had surgically removed. They were so nice and made me feel comfortable, made sure I didn’t feel uncomfortable or any pain. They took their time and did a great job. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs dental work.

And the communication about the services being done during my appointment was not clear at all. I also paid to have documents sent to another dental office that were never sent. Not a good experience at all.

Experiencia positiva: I won’t share my full experience here but will say that although this office has had its share of ups and downs with staffing in my 10 years of being a patient, the business manager Ebony was exceptional in understanding my situation and worked with me to make sure I was properly heard. For this I’m grateful. I would’ve given this office a much higher rating but from my perspective, it’s evident that corporate needs to pay them a bit more attention in several areas. Thanks for 10 decent years of service.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely HORRIBLE! I wanted to like this place but was highly disappointed! Over 1.5 hour wait! No hygienist to clean teeth because she resigned. The dentist was unashamed to say it. The equipment is rusty. You get a bill alert every 2 weeks. I WILL NOT RETURN!

Experiencia fantástica: My experience was the best in my 70 years of having dental services. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the process and cost for services. The dentist was open to hear and respect my dental concerns and need to get service as my income allowed. At the completion of the visit, I felt as if I was apart of a team ready and available to complete the dental services that I need to feel confident and proud of my oral hygiene. Coast Dental is "The better." I highly recommend them for dental services.

Experiencia fantástica: Oh my… I hate getting teeth pulled but Dr Kingsley and Mahallia ( I know I'm misspelling her name) let me know everything was going to be okay. At each visit, Mahallia gave me the most loving care as if I was a child sitting there. She made sure everything was to my liking and gave me advice when I was a little confused. On my last appt, I wasn't as happy. Dr Kingsley came in started with my procedure and made sure I left with a smile on my face. He stated we always have to make sure our patients are happy. Mahallia agreed seeing the big smile on my face. One thing I can say about Mahallia…. She's usually there by herself. It doesn't matter how many patients come through that door she continues to smile giving them all her utmost attention. Thank you guys!!!! You're The Best❤️

Experiencia negativa: This place is horrible. I had an appointment and I had explained to the dental tech that I had severe depression that has resulted in multiple suicide attempts and thus made oral care an impossible task. I said my teeth are going to look awful. She was very understanding and I thought everything was okay, and the dentist had came in and after examining my teeth, he left the room, and I had heard him ridiculing me about the bad state of my teeth to other employees. It felt horrible and now I’ve had intense anxiety with visiting any dentist. I don’t know how these people become doctors without having an ounce of empathy or self control to not make fun of your patient while they’re literally in the next room. Unless you want anxiety as a treatment, which doesn’t work since it made oral care even more impossible, don’t go here.

Experiencia negativa: The office and staff themselves are very nice. I don’t have any complaints against them. Coast Dental in general is A TOTAL RIP OFF! I went in for a regular dental checkup and ended up paying over $300. In addition, I was referred to an endodontist which cost an additional $200. They then said I need oral surgery which is going to cost over $2,200! Lastly, they’re charging me $25 for my own medical records. I have very good dental insurance, mind you. Normally I don’t leave reviews but I would feel so horrible if I didn’t warn people that this place will charge you an unbelievable amount.

Experiencia negativa: People there were nice, but they can’t keep track of information. They called me 3 different times asking me what my dads social security number was for my insurance. The first 2 times was before my visit and the third time they called after I had already gone to my first visit and paid for it. Then 2 weeks later I’m supposed to go in for a cleaning and my appt is no longer on the schedule even tho I have a card that they gave me with appt date and time.. very unprofessional. as someone who work in the medical field it was crazy to see how unorganized they are and how poorly they handled the situation.

Experiencia negativa: I'd like to share my experience with Coastal Dental Company. I went to them in March as my current Dentist was no longer in my network. They complete a Comprehensive Oral Evaluation at a cost, but okay, no issue after that appt. I went to the front to check out and schedule my second appt. after leaving the office a couple of days Later, I got a call stating they would need to cancel my appt due to staffing issues and would reach out to me to let me know the next appt date. again, Okay, I understand. I randomly got a text on 5/31 for a 6/14 appt without discussing with me regarding my appt. I immediately called to get a rescheduled appt and was told it would be 9/21 before I could get into see a dentist. So, I asked if I could come and pick up the X-rays I paid for and was told it would cost me an additional 25.00 dollars to get a copy of the X-rays I had already paid for. That makes no sense... really I have already paid for the X-Rays. How is it fair to me that they are short-staffed, and I cannot get my 2 cleanings a year? Bad Business, Bad Policy, and Bad Customer Service. RUN! not a good dentist. Note* I have filed a complaint with my insurance company because why should I pay for my X-rays again? They are mine, and I have already paid for them. I can pay the 25.00 dollars for X-rays, but what happens if someone experiences this that is not as fortunate as I am is paid for the X-rays?

Experiencia negativa: I have called and left several messages regarding a billing matter that will result in refund to me due to procedures not being billed to my insurance at the time of service, and no one has returned my call. The one time I spoke with Ebony she was rude and didn't seem to care about the matter.

Experiencia negativa: After scheduling an appointment weeks ago and taking PTO for the appointment. They decided to call me 2 days before, at 3 pm, in the middle of my workday, to advise I am considered a new patient and cannot keep my scheduled appointment. (If that was the case, that information should have been addressed when the appointment was made). When I got a moment to call back (a few minutes after the RUDE representative), I called back to speak with the Office manager Erica and I was told she was in the restroom! I said I'd hold. I was left on hold for 10 mins or more with a person finally coming back to the line to say she's still in the restroom. I didn't get an appointment and wouldn't go back for fear of mistreatment!!!! There is not customer service anymore. Businesses just don't care!!!!

Experiencia positiva: My Dental Assistant is off the chain... explained everything to me repeatedly because I'm not literate when it comes to this dental insurance thing very knowledgeable makes you feel comfortable one of the best doctor assistant that I've ever had and that's in any medical setting... My dentist is very knowledgeable kind soft and knows what he's doing and the front desk awesome always smiling and pleasant! Other than that I would have given them a five but I have a problem with being seen at your appointment on time! But I would highly recommend them to family and friends.. They did an AMAZING JOB with my dentures people still don't know.. Thanks Coast dental team, your the best!

Experiencia negativa: First off my appointment was at 2 when I arrived the front desk clerk was nice but I had to wait 45 minutes to be seen because they where still at lunch when in the back the dental assistant was really nice but the Dentist did not come in and introduce his self as he entered the area he kinda startled me because he came from behind me then he was really rude really didn’t give me much information about what as going on left out came and in and threw the referral paper at me and just said call on of them to take your tooth out I will never ever go here again it’s was creepy and weird never been to a office in such state .. NEVER WOULD EVER GET A PENNY FROM ME !!!

Experiencia negativa: Horrible office management. I visited for a consultation two years ago and they still haven’t billed my insurance but instead have sent me to collections. I’ve gone to the office and spoke to the manager and they assured me that this would be taken care of. The notices stopped coming for a couple of months, but now have started up again for the same invoice. Every time I call they give the same excuse that the office manager is not in or will get to it. This is unacceptable and they need to do their job. I’m tired of getting collection notices. I have an 800 credit score and refuse to allow a lazy office manager to ruin it. I will be reporting them to the BBB. I have excellent insurance that I pay too dollar for. Just do your job and bill them.

Experiencia negativa: STAY AWAY FROM HERE! In February 2022, I went Coast Dental in Powder Springs for the first time. I initially went for a comprehensive exam. I was presented with a list of dental work that needed to be done. After maxing out my benefits, I borrowed the rest of the money from Sunbit, as offered by Dr. Kingsley’s office. Hence paying for all of the work to be done. I was unable to get all of the work completed at one time. So I spread out my visits, which should not have mattered since they had been fully paid for. On December 19, 2022, I went to get the final work done, which was a crown. Mahalia presented me with the iPad for payment before services were rendered. I reminded her I had paid back in late spring. She insisted I didn’t. In an effort to save time I agreed to pay, using Sunbit again, with the notion that I would simply return with my paperwork at a later date and the extra charge would be reversed as it was clear that I had paid. When I returned, the business manager Ebony said she needed to review my entire profile. Two hours later, she had concluded nothing other than she was confused. She said I had a credit and yet couldn’t determine a refund. Mahalia, presented her with another document and confirmed I had indeed paid twice. I was told that the regional manager would have to resolve this. Dr. Kingsley promised he would make sure they called me. I have been told three different times Jasmine Griffin would call. Nearly a month later, I have never received a call. Not only did I pay twice for one service, they submitted a claim to my dental insurance on January 10, 2023 even though the service and payment was made December 19, 2022. So they essentially received full payment by me twice AND tapped into my current benefits for this year. This is a very dishonest practice!

I will definitely recommend her to anyone. Overall, the entire staff is awesome! I am forever a happy client who is stuck with them forever.

Experiencia negativa: Poor services Took my 86 yr old mom for dentures . Late in getting dentures . Made false appointments and wasted time . Once dentures arrived , wrong meds and took 24 hrs to fix the problem . Fitting and adjustments - can’t get an appointment . Didn’t bother to make a follow up after placement of dentures . Line is busy mail box is full can’t leave voice messages . I think I am gonna reverse the charges this will get their attention . Run and fly from this office . Unprofessional staff and poor delivery skills . Doctor is ok … basic dentist @ least he passed the exam but noting to write home about .

Experiencia negativa: BEWARE!!! This place has gone into the dump!! On my last visit the doctor came in to examine my teeth after a cleaning and NEVER greeted my or exchanged a conversation with me. Glad I maintain my teeth well and did not need feedback from him. Next, I received a $198 bill!! I have insurance and have never paid more than $10 for a routine cleaning. I called to inquire about my bill no one answered the phone or bothered to call me back. I also called corporate and of course no one answered and the mailbox is full. I now have to pay the office a visit in hopes of resolving this issue. I would give them a zero if that option was available.

Experiencia fantástica: Coast Dental in Powder Springs has the best staff of people who really care about their patients and their teeth. I have been so proud to be a patient for more than 15 years. Everywhere I go I get so many compliments about my smile. I owe my great smile to Coast Dental,Dr. King and Dr. Merimammi and his hygienists like Jennifer who are very skilled and trained to help you maintain a healthy smile and gums. The professionalism and courteousness is phenomenal from the moment you check in until the moment you check out!

Experiencia negativa: I never even got to my appointment. The front office apparently doesn't know what they're doing. They canceled my first appointment cause they overbooked. It was rescheduled only to find out the day before they have to cancel again cause they don't take my insurance anymore. They could have told me this two-three months ago . No the day before. Very unprofessional.

I was very disappointed when I heard my grandmother had to wait outside for 20 minutes because their scheduling wasn’t right even though they told my grandmother to be there at that time and then when she went back four hours later when they said to come back the door was locked. so No I don’t recommend this place Due to that occurrence in reading the reviews it’s happend many times no need for your pointless paragraph of providing exceptional service, I got that I’m a robot Jordan earlier you can skip me this time

We also had good conversation which took my mind off of the procedure. Which was painless by the way. Would definitely recommend if you need work done

Experiencia negativa: this place messed up my life in 2017. had all four wisdom teeth removed and the day of, the receptionist made me sign something after surgery because she forgot she hand it to me before even when I told her i couldn't understand it becuz i was doped up. Later on after taking meds, naproxen messed up my stomach lining for life. Come to find out the slipped she handed me was a warning for side effects of the medication. I contacted lawyers and we reviewed the case but its out of the state of limitations. I am still looking further into this case, I know stuff could have been handled differently. I remember there being a cameras in the spot where I sign the paper. The environment was off when I first went to consulted also, I should've listened to my gut. The receptionist was nice to me but seemed so petty and covertly mad at the world. As if there was office drama. Anyways, yeah stay away. My life has negatively taken an impact because of this situation and I am still looking into resolving it

Experiencia negativa: First time with an appt and last visit. Will never go back. Was instructed to arrive 15 mins early. No one was in office upon arrival as they were on their lunch break. Would have been nice for someone to tell you that. When they returned 5 mins after hour break, no apologies or even acknowledgement of people sitting in waiting room. Dentist is not friendly at all. This place appears to be a dentist office that just wants to make money and not care about customer service. Try another dentist not in a Corporate office first to compare. Our time is valuable not just theirs.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible!!! Waited outside over an hour. Workers inside ignored me. There were 5 people outside with me waiting. I called and called and called and they won’t answer!!!! Supposedly they said they notified us that the office was closed. I was NEVER NOTIFIED! WASTED TIME!!!! It’s June and now they say I can’t be seen then AUGUST….. HORRIBLE

Experiencia negativa: I never made it to the actual dentist because the receptionist seemed to have no idea if they accepted my dental insurance (MetLife) or not. I continued to try to provide her with all the information I have including my place of employment, but she continued to act as if I was speaking a foreign language. There is no way I would trust a company that couldn't even deliver the basics about insurance. No way.

Experiencia negativa: Do not use this company. I apparently owed a bill in 2019. I was never sent a bill or even told I owed anything until 2022 when it showed up on my credit report in collections. After trying to figure out what the bill was for from the company got absolutely zero help.

Experiencia fantástica: This was my first visit to Coast Dental. The minute I walked in, I could tell I would be pleased. Everyone was very pleasant and welcoming. I felt very comfortable and would definitely be returning.

Experiencia negativa: On Feb 2021, I paid for upper and lower dentures. The Drs and assistants could never get me a correct fit so after months of trying, I gave up. I kept the uppers even though they bulky and not sharp enough to use but in August refused the lowers because they are extremely painful. I requested and the office agreed to give a refund. I was told the refund needed to be approved by "corporate" even though the office approved it. The office manager did not submit the request until I had my daughter go on on a weekly basis to follow up. The request was submitted in October. I never heard back from the Dental office and followed up in January and was told the refund was denied in December. In January, I asked that the refund request be refiled. I have heard nothing. I've asked my daughter to continue to visit the office but they say there is nothing they can do and no one additional they can speak to. I am 88 years old and paid approximately for dentures I never received. I feel like this office preyed on me because of my age. Also a note that I posted this review on their site and it appears they only show the positive reviews

Experiencia negativa: They'll give you paperwork to sign with one price, then when you go to check out, miraculously the lady at the desk says that the folks forgot to add this or that. This happened to me on 2 separate visits. It's honestly pretty ridiculous to expect to pay one thing and then find out you have to pay more at the end of the procedure. What if I couldn't afford it? Additionally, if you need fillings or anything done by the actual dentist, expect that he will be late getting to you and then he'll rush through your procedure. I had an issue with a filling that he completed and had to come back later to have him fix it. I could go on but honestly, if you have other options, avoid this place.

Had to go back because a sharp bone was coming thru my gums and they took care of it just fine .thank y'all very much..

He is the only dentist I’ve had to tell me something different that I haven’t heard from any other dentist I’ve been too about my teeth and I’m very pleased. He pays close attention to detail and got straight to the point with my services without anything extra.
