Experiencia fantástica: Every time I visit this dental clinic, the care from the entire staff is always so professional and friendly. During my most recent visit, the care was just as excellent. KIMBERLY made sure to remain professional while also making sure my nerves didn’t get the best of me. At every moment, she made me feel safe and reassured me that she was there for me. I absolutely loved that, because it’s not something you find just anywhere. The fact that they can assist you in both English and Spanish is definitely a plus!

Experiencia positiva: I had a very disappointing experience at Epic Family Dentistry during the summer of 2025. I had to return multiple times because the office repeatedly forgot to complete all of the work that was supposed to be done during my appointments. It was frustrating to have to keep rearranging my schedule for issues that should have been handled correctly the first time. The crown placement was also much more painful than I expected, and during the procedure, a dental assistant accidentally burned my lip. That only added to an already stressful experience. To make matters worse, I continue to receive frequent marketing texts and emails encouraging me to return, even though I have no intention of going back. I’ve marked many of these messages as spam, yet they continue to arrive, which has only made the experience more frustrating. This is what prompted me to finally leave this review. Maybe they will finally leave me alone. Overall, I left feeling that there was a lack of attention to detail, poor quality control, and little respect for patient comfort or preferences. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office.

Experiencia fantástica: Marissa, Jessica and the team were amazing. I left Mint and it was our 1st visit there. I had insurance issues and although I was frustrated, they had me happy & laughing by the end of the day. This is my new dentist office from now on.

Experiencia negativa: Update: after doing some digging I found that majority of these 5 star reviews are from the “office manager’s” family. Literally. Do not trust them. As of today I am still getting billed in the mail for services I never received. My new dentist told me they lied to me about what I was needing. Marissa De La Rosa is the one who billed me and tried to talk me up to getting things done I don’t need. Thank goodness I found my new dentist because he is amazing! Definitely do not come to this place. Worst place ever! Do not waste your time or money. Marissa is the worst person in my opinion. I’m half black and half Indian. She had the nerve to ask me if I’m feather Indian or dot Indian. Then I found out she charged my insurance for procedures I didn’t even have done. I only found out because my insurance called check on me after and to verify.

Experiencia negativa: I DO NOT recommend this dental clinic at all. After my first deep cleaning, my gums were very sore and sensitive for about a week. After my second visit for polishing, my gums have been severely inflamed for a week now, and the procedure itself was extremely painful and felt unprofessional. Since then, I can clearly see ongoing irritation. I also experienced a chipped tooth shortly after the procedure. In addition, they refused to email me my X-rays for free and said I would need to pay a fee, which is disappointing since other clinics provide this at no cost.

Dr. Chin is fast, efficient, and makes every visit smooth and comfortable. The wait time is always short, and everyone there is incredibly attentive to your needs. The atmosphere feels more like visiting family than going to a dentist office. It’s such a warm, welcoming environment — like visiting your favorite aunties and uncles instead of a scary dentist ☺️ I drive an hour just to come here, and it is completely worth it every time. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for excellent dental care and a caring team!

They help in all financial situations. We are loyal people wouldn't go any where else. Dr. Cao is very attentive and Dr. Shin explanations are right on point. My oldest daughter just got all her wisdom teeth taken out and recovered amazingly. If you don't understand she will explain until you do understand. Highly recommend this office. Iv read most of these reviews on here. People seem to be more entitled these days and broke. Just try it and make your own decisions based on your own experiences. No one is perfect but they sure are close enough they always make us feel like family. Even when we are having a bad day.

I had not been to the dentist in decades and that caused a horrible amount of damage to my teeth and smile which I am no able to smile so genuinely. My daughter has been coming here for a while and after seeing the doctor during this last visit she found out she needed a deep cleaning which is fine but the staff sounds like a damn bill collector and the over selling was not needed. During her check out there was someone ahead of her and the staff was apparently offering free merchandise and treatment discounts for reviews written by the staff themselves which is completely inappropriate. She then checked out and that staff member gave her their card and the person that was writing the reviews was the OFFICE MANAGER. My family will never return.

Because if they wouldn't i would just always forget to take care of myself. Every time i come they are always very welcoming and my kids and wife love them too. We pass by at least 100 other dentist before getting to Epic and we still choose to make this long drive because they work with my busy schedule and the kids love the caring staff. Experiencia positiva: I had my first visit at Epiq Dental recently, and it was a mixed experience that ultimately ended on a positive note. My 11:00 a.m. appointment turned into a very long wait, and I was not seen until about 1:15 p.m., which was frustrating and almost had me ready to walk out. I decided to stay because my partner is already a patient here and spoke highly of the office, and I’m glad I did. My mouth needed a good amount of work, and although the total was about $2,300, I felt the pricing was still better than what I was quoted at my usual office, Mint Dentistry. Dr. Shin’s treatment and chairside manner were excellent, and the staff were friendly and personable, which helped ease my nerves. That said, the office could definitely improve communication and scheduling. There were issues with how my profile was managed, and I later discovered that the appointment I thought was scheduled for me on 1/13/2026 was actually booked under my partner’s name instead. It was another mix‑up, but mistakes do happen and no one is perfect. Overall, I’m satisfied with the quality of care from Dr. Shin and the team and plan to return, but I hope to see smoother scheduling and better communication going forward.

Experiencia fantástica: I was looking for a new dentist and hygienist. I stumbled on to Epic Family Dentistry and IMMEDIATELY I knew I found what I was looking for. First the staff is incredibly friendly, warm and fun. My hygienist was pretty and smelled good. Lol. She gave me a great cleaning; maybe the best I’ve ever had! Ms Afsaneh. I’ve already sent a few referrals here as well. I’m on Medicare too. They work with those on fixed incomes. Dr Cao was awesome as well. Experiencia negativa: Although the cleaning went well...a little rougher than usual but expected for deep cleaning. The up sell on getting overall dental needs was NOT necessary. HIGH pressure sales on work that didn't NEED to be done. I was VERY turned off by this approach. I was told that I had 5 cavities and need 4 crowns and needed to start right away... even asked it I wanted to start the day of my deep cleaning! Long story short, I went to another dentist 6 months later to get Xrays and cleaning and was told I had NO CAVITIES, no work needed to be done. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EPIC FAMILY DENTISTRY!

Experiencia negativa: Got a cleaning and crown work done. The cleaning was standard. However, their work on dental crowns is poor. Plus the dentist that did the work was set on "giving it time" when the issues was clearly from an improper fit. It took multiple visits for them to re-do my crown and now a few months after I'm having issues.

Experiencia fantástica: Yesterday was my FIRST visit and overall everything was amazing. I called yesterday and was able to be seen that same day for my emergency . The Front Desk ladies were exceptional and went over and beyond from my phone call to get help to Assisting and Hilda greeting me and doing my X-rays and chatting . My consult/exam was very thorough and detailed regarding the next step with Dr.Cao, to which I expected regarding the next step . Even today, when I reached out to them they knew exactly who I was and they got it handled . I’m thrilled to see how this goes and thrive with making this my Dentist since my move to Texas . Thank you so much .

Experiencia fantástica: Nobody likes going to the dentist, but the staff here make it more manageable. Edgar is an angel, so patient, kind, and comforting. Dr. Cao gave me the second opinion I needed and saved me a lot of money. She's very understanding and thorough in her instructions and care. Highly recommend working with the two of them.

Experiencia negativa: Don't go if you want a good cleaning as they only had 1 hygienist Afsaneh on staff and 4 receptionist who cannot clean teeth. I’ve visited Epic Family Dentistry in Carrollton four times now. The front desk staff is always welcoming and kind, which I truly appreciate. However, I’ve had some issues with the quality of the cleanings. During my first visit which was a deep cleaning that I paid $300 for, I had a hygienist named Afaaneh who did a terrible job spent maybe 5-10 minutes and mostly focused on the gums and behind the teeth. I figured ok they have me on a four times a year visit rotation next time I'm guessing they will do a thorough job. Next time I get a hygienist named Ajita who does a very good job cleans the front and back of my teeth spends about 30 minutes cleaning and my teeth were shinning which I later found out (11/11/25) that she is NOT A STAFF EMPLOYEE BUT A TEMP who picked up the job in the system. I asked that hygienist, but she says she rotates between here and another office. On my third visit I have the same hygienist named Afsaneh who did a poor job and again she only spent 5 minutes cleaning my teeth which I'm paying $80 for and now I tell myself this is unacceptable and next time I will not get my teeth cleaned by her. Next time which is today 11/11/25 is my forth visit here, I had an appointment at 12 pm but didn’t get seen until 12:45 pm, despite traveling over 30 miles and taking about 40 minutes to get there. When I walked in I requested the good hygienist and also when I was in the chair getting my blood pressure I requested the good hygienist. Then the hygienist who does a poor job came in and I politely raised my concerns about the quality and time spent on my last cleanings with her and I requested someone else to clean my teeth. The hygienist was dismissive and even implied I was lying about my preferences and appointment time with the rotating hygienist saying she only comes in on Fridays but I said thats not possible because I work everyday but Mondays and Tuesday so all my past appointments were on either of those two days. She asked if I would like to get my teeth cleaned with her as shes the only one in the office who can clean teeth today. I said no thank you. She took me to the front desk and was a little emotional claiming I was being dishonest about my experience with her poor job teeth cleaning and that she has 20 (I forgot) something years of experience so shes basically claiming I'm lying about her poor teeth cleaning experience. I explained I just want my teeth cleaned right and I'm just being honest. I remained professional and polite throughout, but this was a frustrating experience and no one has the patience like me because no will return after 2 bad cleanings and over 40 minutes drive each way. As a business owner myself, I understand the importance of quality and customer service, and I believe that Epic Family Dentistry could improve in these areas. Perhaps Afsaneh needs to take a brief vacation as she seems to be over worked as this office only employs 1 hygienist to run the whole clinic which probably explains why she rushes when cleaning teeth. Overall, while the front desk staff is excellent, the inconsistency in dental care and the lack of attention to detail make it difficult for me to recommend them.

On my first visit I came for a deep cleaning, my blood pressure was really high due to anxiety and they went above and beyond to help me to get it down so I’d be able to get my cleaning done safely. They turned down the lights in my room, gave me water, talked to me, and put on a scenic video with relaxing music to calm me down ♥️

Everyone here, Hilda, Edgar, & Dr. Cao treated me amazing I went to another dental office earlier today and was treated the complete opposite. Found this place at the last minute and I feel like I’ve known him for 20 years. I’ve told my wife and daughter about the Epic and they were also going to come and get second opinions and also become new members of the family as well! Thank you for an amazing experience.
