Fantastic experience: Been going there since I think they opened in 2021 or 2022. I’ve since moved 40 minutes away but I still go there because they’re fantastic. The Wakefields are great and very personable. My last visit was this week which I was worked on by Erica and polished by Bri. It was a party. Both were very knowledgeable and fun to talk to! See ya in 6 months.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a compassionate and highly skilled dentist in Flagstaff, AZ, I cannot recommend Dentist of Flagstaff near the mall enough. As someone who only writes reviews when an experience is truly outstanding, I had to share my recent visit. I needed a deep cleaning for periodontal disease, and the level of care was unmatched. Erica is the most thorough, gentle, and kind dental hygienist I’ve ever had. Brianna, the dental assistant, was equally amazing—so informative, patient, and welcoming. It can be hard to find great periodontal and preventative dental care, but I am so thankful to have found my permanent dental home for the foreseeable future!

Negative experience: The dentist and hygienist are of the best I have ever had. The office is run the worst I have ever had. Could not be bothered to check my insurance to see if I was covered they assumed I was not. I called my insurance provider myself and was told absolutely I was covered 100% for two crowns. I later came back for a cleaning and told them several times I did not want anything that was not covered by my insurance and was told the cleaning was covered. They never called never checked and now have a bill from them for the cleaning. The office staff here is TERRIBLE. They just lost another customer.

Fantastic experience: I had an abscess in one of my teeth that came on suddenly and was excruciating. My regular dentists office is closed on Fridays and these sweet people got me in last minute so I wouldn't have to suffer the whole weekend. I am so extremely grateful. The pain was excruciating when they were doing the dental X-rays but I could tell the tech was doing her best to be gentle and careful and the dentist stuck around until they were right at closing time and answered all my questions. I cannot say thank you enough.

Fantastic experience: The office staff and attending staff are very friendly/professional . Erica the Hygienist go out of her way to have friendly interaction with her patients Brie : Assistant/ is great at meeting and greeting patients at the beginning of our visits.

Negative experience: My first couple visits here were wonderful. My last cleaning I left feeling sore but I assumed it was because I was pregnant. It was not. The hygienist, Erika, was so rough with me I could feel blood dripping down my throat. When I looked at the tube sucking the liquid out of my mouth it was filled with blood. Not normal for someone who’s never had and gum issues before and had very good oral hygiene. My husband also saw her and will not be returning due to how rough she was with him. It’s been two days and I’m still in so much pain. When I expressed that she was being rough and that I was bleeding a lot she simply said it was because i need to floss better. I floss everyday…. The front desk was also very rude which was not the same experience I had previously. I wish could just see the dentist here and get my cleanings else where. Sigh.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for the past few years based off of a friend's recommendation and have been very happy with their service. Dr A. Wakefield and Dana are awesome. The front and back office are super knowledgeable and friendly. They provide excellent care and are always up front about any costs that aren't covered by insurance. I can easily make appointments and access my chart if needed. I highly recommend this office.

Negative experience: I called to book a checkup and clean before I move away. I was told that because I'm a new patient they couldn't guarantee that I would get a clean if I booked an appointment. All I wanted was a simple checkup and clean. I don't want to book two separate appointments and spend the first appointment listening to some dentist who couldn't care less say blah blah blah all looks good.... now let's book you in at a later date for what you actually want. I can't stand dentists that do this. ONE appointment is necessary for a simple checkup and clean, even with a new patient and I've been to countless dentists that do that. Avoid this place, my interaction indicates it's about money, not actually caring about what the patient wants. Receptionist didn't even bother to see if they could fit two visits back to back to ensure I could get a clean at the very least. Don't waste your time or money on this place.

Fantastic experience: Ive had an appointment with Erica as my hygienist and she was absolutely phenomenal! So kind and caring, not to mention an amazing personality. Dr Sydney was excellent and took the time to answer my questions and made me feel at ease during something that usually gives me anxiety. When I arrived Denise and Leslie were so welcoming and made the entire check in process so quick, easy, and stress free. Having someone actually smiling at the front desk is a welcome change from most offices! Jaiden and Itzel were also my assistants I believe, and so great they were totally on top of my care, anything I needed they handled. Negative experience: They cemented my teeth together, which they tried to charge me for. Crown broke within a month but I've been afraid to go back based on the way they handled it.

Negative experience: I've been to this office before and previously had an excellent experience with Dr. Sydney. She is compassionate, easy to talk to, and when I had my first cavity treated, it was a painless and smooth process. I truly appreciated her care. Unfortunately, my recent experience was very disappointing. I currently do not have dental insurance and am a student, so I am paying out of pocket. I wanted to schedule a basic cleaning because I strongly believe in preventative care. However, I was told I would be required to enroll in an in-office plan that includes X-rays, in addition to paying for the cleaning itself. I explained that I cannot afford additional diagnostic costs right now and requested to decline new X-rays. The office already has X-rays from one year ago. I was told that due to "liability," they would not provide a cleaning without taking new X-rays and that there were no exceptions. As a result, I was refused care. It's discouraging that preventative care that helps patients avoid more serious and expensive problems is inaccessible without agreeing to additional services. For students and uninsured patients trying to stay proactive about their health, policies like this create unnecessary barriers. Unfortunately, I will either have to go without care until I can get insurance again or find somewhere else that actually provides accessible healthcare.

Fantastic experience: New to Flagstaff. This was my first time at this practice. I walked into a lovely waiting room being greeted by the front office staff. I was immediately called back by Mercedes for X-rays. The equipment used is state of the art. I had a exam by Dr. Sydney who was very personable. She noted in the X-rays that were taken that I had a small blockage in my carotid artery. I had known about this for a few years, however, no other dentist has ever noted that. My hygienist was Dana. I had an excellent, thorough cleaning. This practice is modern, clean, with a great dental team.

Fantastic experience: Great care from start to finish, Brianna the assistant is professional and efficient, Erica the hygienist is on time, gentle and very thorough, Dr Andrew Wakefield is very pleasant, skilled and knowledgeable. The office staff were overly helpful in getting me rescheduled for my needs. Prob the most pleasant dental experience I’ve ever had overall.

Negative experience: The worst experience with a dentist I have ever had. I had to leave my previous dentist because of insurance, so I started going to Dentists of Flagstaff. It took a while to get a hold of anyone, and even when I did, I never got a clear answer if they would take my insurance. I had just gotten x rays at my last dentist but they told me those were not adequate, so they had to retake them. Even with appointments, both my visits made me late to work as I waited over 45 minutes to even be seen for my general cleaning with no apology for the tech arriving late. I was told I needed "deep cleaning" even though I had never had any issues previously, and each cleaning I got thereafter I would be forced to do a deep cleaning until they deemed my teeth "adequate" to do regular cleaning on. My general cleaning then cost over $300 even with insurance. I was asked to sign their form work without being given the chance to read and review it first. Upon requesting to know what I was signing, they couldn't show me the information, print it, or send it in any fashion. Rude, late, and uninformed staff. I found another dentist right away and had zero issues (and zero "deep cleaning" tactics) Save your time and money. Go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Erica! She was very thorough, explained everything clearly, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. My teeth have never felt cleaner. Thank you! My son also had a wonderful visit with Mr. Jaiden, who was very calm and patient with my 7-year-old and made his sealant and cleaning appointment a smooth and positive experience. We truly appreciate the care and kindness from both of them!

Both reassured me, as I was told at another clinic I had five cavities but it turns out I only had one that can still be reversed. Fantastic experience: Erica, the dental hygienist did a super job cleaning my teeth. She was so efficient, fast and friendly. I was out of there in 25 min.

Negative experience: I felt a little scammed, especially since my appointment was rescheduled at least twice. I was told I needed to come in at more frequent regularity because I hadn't had a cleaning in a while. But then each of my appointments were canceled due to the staff having extra days off around the holidays. This put me past the regular 6-month point. And then I was told I needed more work but that was not mentioned to me on my checkup after the work I had in the past. Makes me question what's going on there.

Negative experience: I recommend skipping this practice. Although they were excellent in treating an emergency crown situation, when I went back for a cleaning it was a different experience. I am sensitive to the amount of radiation I am exposed to due to previous exposure in the Navy. After a whole mouth of X-rays was taken they then wanted a 3-D scan of my jaw, basically a CT scan. I asked the tech if we could skip and the reply from the dentist was “either this, or a slower way of doing it with more X-Rays”. Nope. Not for a cleaning, pal. And next time actually talk to your patient to try to understand their POV. One star.

Negative experience: 1k for xrays. The national average is $200.00. When asked why the cost was so high I was told I should have signed up for the discount plan. Well if the discount plan was explained to me i would have signed up for it. Not to mention a drill happy doctor that used to work there. I am sure she got me for a good amount of extra unnecessary work. The owner is very nice. I think the help needs to be vetted a little bit better. I am not one to leave reviews but I am a little disappointed in this place.

Negative experience: After paying a large cash amount in full for specialty dentures Iwas not happy with what was offered...and after being told I could take them" as they are" or get a full refund I AM STILL WAITING AFTER 2&1/2MONTHS AND SEVERAL PHONECALLS !!! Different people there are giving me different answers.Although I have to day all the staff there have been nothing but polite about it...not that makes any difference in the result or procedure. I WISH I HAD NOT GONE HERE!!

Pricing was transparent and they gave me a detailed breakdown of what my insurance covers in language that I understood. Imaging, my exam and my cleaning were quick and as enjoyable as dentistry can be, as the staff were friendly and kind and the procedures were thorough but relatively painless. Honestly can’t wait to come back for my next appointment!

Fantastic experience: Honestly was the best dental experience I have had in years. Very impressed with the entire office as well as Vicky who went over every detail with no hesitation and no pressure also was very intune with insurance and what it covers and doesn't very helpful from start to finish
