Positive experience: The intake specialist could have been more thorough in explaining the billing and clearly breaking down the associated costs, rather than briefly going over the information. Since we were reviewing the documents from her computer screen, I was relying on her to carefully review the details and explain the terms and conditions before asking us to sign. I did have to prompt her to clarify certain information and, at times, go back and review the verbiage of the terms and conditions to ensure we fully understood what we were agreeing to. Aside from this, we were satisfied with the visit and the overall experience.

Fantastic experience: My experience with SMILE was like no other. The receptionist was very polite and professional. My son and I was extremely pleased with the Orthodontist putting his bracelets in. They're wasn't a long waiting period to be called to the back. Overall 10 out of 10 for me. Fantastic experience: I’m so happy I chose this location for my Invisalign journey! The staff is so kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I’ve never had to wait for my appointment, I just get right in at my scheduled time. They take their time, don’t make you feel rushed, happily answer any questions you may have, and go over everything thoroughly. The office is super fun too with lots of Lego sets to look at. I was able to get amazing results with only 14 aligner sets. At the end they polished and evened out my teeth perfectly, and gave me a whitening kit. Highly recommend! 10/10

Positive experience: I am incredibly frustrated with this place. I have left 4 voicemails about the appointment my daughter now has as a no show today because I legit cant get someone to call me back. They scheduled her for 2 appointments on different days almost 2 months out- one to tighten her braces and one to fix her bracket. I called when that was scheduled on 1/20 to see why we cant have those 2 things done at one time? and there is a huge lack of communication with our insurance witch again is incredibly frustrating because here I am still making my timely monthly payments of $124 dollars and can not get anyone to communicate with me.

Dr. Forche and his team are highly skilled and exude professionalism. The offices are well organized and clean. I have always received a warm welcome from my initial visit to now. They have always fit me in for urgent appointments promptly. I’m extremely pleased with my progress—both with my new smile and improved breathing. I used to be a mouth breather, but now I can breathe through my nose and comfortably close my lips without forcing it. When I needed to remove my braces for a brain MRI, the team worked together to ensure the procedure was completed without braces. I am truly grateful for their assistance. Dr. Forche even emphasized the importance of my brain over my teeth. I am relieved to know that I will be able to resume my treatment with braces. I was concerned that I might not be able to, but I am grateful to have found such a caring team. I will provide an update on the final results once my treatment is complete.

Negative experience: You would think as an existing patient with a second child being seen here we’d be able to get an appointment…they need to stop accepting new patients. I’ve been told on multiple occasions to snip my kids poking wires, or wait 2 weeks+ for comfort appointments. Let alone trying to get him in for a bracket that’s fallen off those appointments are a month off. If these things weren’t paid off already I’d switch practices completely.

They were very helpful when I had questions or concerns with my Invisalign treatment and always took what I was telling them into consideration when making adjustments to my treatment plan. Dr. Forche is top notch and very professional yet personable and a pleasure to communicate with. His team was also outstanding as they always made me feel comfortable and confident my smile was going to turn out just how I wanted! I also posted my before and after photos to give some proof as to how well my Invisalign treatment worked.

Fantastic experience: We went to a few different orthos before coming to smile doctors. My daughter wasn’t comfortable with one and the treatment plans were unnecessary imo. But when we got to smile doctors they answered all of our questions and best of all my daughter was comfortable and felt heard. So far treatment has gone great!

The treatment worked incredibly well and I got out of braces much sooner than I expected to. They were extremely generous with treatment items like rubber bands, wax, lip balm, and even their swag items. Throughout all of my appointments, they made sure I'd be comfortable during my treatment and that I'd be comfortable from treatment until next appointment after adjustment. I recently got my braces off, and the ortho working with me was extremely reassuring. After you finish your treatment you get special treats as well! Fantastic experience: Amazing staff, they all do great work!

Positive experience: I love Dr. Forche, he’s a warm person who always wears a smile. There are some ladies who have worked here since our first consult and they are the rare gems of the office. We started off with consults with Dr. Kristal, but changed to Dr. Forche for a less invasive plan. The staff has always been nice and very helpful. It seems things have changed lately with the staff and how things are done since the merge/ change to Smile Doctors. The hours are not convenient for high school students/ athletes or teachers as they are only open on weekdays during school hours. To be halfway through a phase 2 (second time having braces) and realize you have to find a new office is very upsetting. I called to make an appointment for my daughter and was told she would have to wait a month and a half to be seen which put us into the new school year exactly on the first day of school. When sharing it wasn’t possible the reply was “there are smile doctors all over the country.” I didn’t establish care with Smile Doctors, so I won’t be chair hopping as if I’m receiving care from a free clinic. I asked to speak with the office manager to discuss my daughter’s treatment plan and other options for scheduling, or help to find a new private provider. I never received a call back. I called a second time and spoke to the same older woman who again reassured me I would receive a call and I needed to give time, even though I explained the limited time I have due to working the same hours. Needless to say, I never received a call, or an appointment. Just a reminder to pay my monthly bill for treatment I can’t schedule.

Negative experience: Dr. Forche is now called Smile Doctors located in Pickerington, OH. At first the hygienists and doctor were very friendly, but when I started having issues with my jaw being misaligned, they completely dismissed my concerns and gaslighted me even when I told them that my soft palate was twisted. The technician looked at it and said, "It's not that bad." It's not that bad?! Umm... I'm not a doctor, but I believe one's soft palate shouldn't be twisting AT ALL! Plus it was VERY uncomfortable. I could tell they were starting to rush my treatment starting in May of 2020 as I started in Sept. 2019, right before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, so not only were they a shell of a business during the pandemic, but they also had to merge w/ a different practice called Smile Doctors. They were great up until during COVID-19 happened, and they started cancelling my appts right and left. The message I received said that if anyone had a missed appt due to the pandemic that patients don't have to do anything and that they would be called for a virtual exam. I never got a call, and when I called to schedule that virtual exam, I got their voicemail, left a message, (this was the beginning of the week) and never received a returned call. When I called the following week to inquire about a virtual exam due to my condition worsening, the technician was curt and said my issue wasn't possible and couldn't be caused by my braces. I received a second opinion, and what’d happened is I was starting to get a cross bite on my right row of teeth. The woman who told me what I was describing to her that bothered me was a hygienist, not an orthodontist. To make matters worse, she'd never looked in my mouth to even make that judgment--not that she's qualified to. Then I asked about making an appt, and she said they weren't taking patients until June and never offered to make a June appt as by that point she was trying to rush me off the phone. She also never offered a virtual exam that I was supposed be called back to schedule in the first place. She just said they couldn't help me right now and ushered me off the call w/ a snarky goodbye. I was so angry and frustrated to tears that I didn't even say goodbye back. So needless to say, I decided to end treatment early as my brackets kept falling off, and the new ones from the new practice they merged together with (Smile Drs) had taller brackets than the ones I’d been used to causing my teeth to be out of alignment. Every other tooth was slanted inward on the new brackets, and on the smaller, older brackets my teeth were in the correct place. So I decided to cut ties w/ Dr Forche w/ my braces still on. What he didn’t warn me about was that orthodontists in the Greater Columbus Area have a pact with each other, so they WILL NOT see you even if you can’t breathe—my issue multiplied by 10. Each orthodontist I saw told me the same thing almost verbatim, “Those look beautiful. You should go back to Forche and have your braces taken off and a retainer made.” Not only did my jaw feel like it was developing TMJD, but I couldn’t even go back to Forche if I *wanted* to which I didn’t. So I kept looking, and looking, and looking for a new orthodontist to finish my re-treatment and fix what Forche did quick and dirty—to give you an idea of how quickly he wanted me out of braces, after 2 adjustments and $4k he wanted to take them off. Thankfully he changed his mind, but I DO NOT recommend Dr Forche in Pickerington. I had to take my own braces off AND I couldn’t find someone for a year due to COVID-19 backlogs. Plus, I didn’t have a retainer, so my teeth narrowed back up just as if I never paid $4k for braces in the first place. I’m now on my 3rd re-treatment.
