West Village Dental got me in the same day and Dr. Chilcutt literally rebuilt part of my tooth in an hour- matched the color, worked with quick precision and got me out the door, but not before making sure I was completely satisfied with the look. And I was!

Fantastic experience: After moving to St. Louis last year, searching for a new dentist, and luckily finding West Village Dental, I couldn't be happier with Dr. Chilcutt and his amazing team. Everyone is friendly, professional, and very good at what they do. After having one tooth crowned and two dental cleanings, I feel very confident in recommending West Village Dental.

Fantastic experience: Services provided were excellent. Very modern equipment. Staff was very responsive and knowledgeable.

Negative experience: The cleaning and basic services provided were satisfactory. However, we encountered some challenges with a more complex procedure. When my wife's porcelain veneer needed repair, it required two sessions, and unfortunately, the outcome was not entirely satisfactory, necessitating further treatment at another practice. Regarding administrative aspects, we found the billing process lacked clarity. While initial fees were charged on the day of the appointment, we subsequently received additional bills at home without a clear explanation for the cost differences. Furthermore, we were charged a $60 cancellation fee for an appointment. I scheduled this appointment on a Monday for a Thursday, and had to cancel on Wednesday at 4:38 PM. I was informed that their after-hours policy, which begins at 4:00 PM, applied, resulting in the cancellation charge. Overall, I was disappointed with the services and the lack of financial clarity.

Negative experience: Update 3/11/25: BEWARE THE EXTRA BILLING AFTER SERVICES RENDERED! While the service was totally fine, they billed my insurance TWICE and then they lied about it!!! Unfortunately they also billed insurance for expensive full mouth X-rays as well which I would have NEVER agreed to if I had known my insurance only covered bite wings. In the office they are super nice but their billing department is an absolute JOKE! I will start this by saying that I am a very anxious patient at the dentist and I absolutely dread it. And recently I had to get an emergency refilling done due to severe tooth pain. I was able to get a same day appointment and the front desk was SO kind and helpful especially with the insurance I have that is a bit rare in Missouri. Dr. Chilcutt was kind, patient, and explained everything he was doing. And the dental assistant was so kind and played the best country music. I really appreciate the patience and kindness that everyone in the office showed me today. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: This was my daughter’s first time with a non-pediatric dentist. She had a cavity that was causing some discomfort and the office was able to get her scheduled right away. She has a bit of anxiety with dental work but they made her very comfortable. They explained everything they were going to do in a way that she would understand and checked in with her every step to make sure she was doing ok. The entire visit was so easy and the entire staff was very friendly.

Negative experience: I went in for a routine cleaning and was recommended deep cleaning - a $1600 procedure. I had received routine cleanings here with no issue before. I asked if I could receive the routine cleaning I scheduled and they refused. 6 months later I followed up to schedule again a routine cleaning, or at least reassess because all my previous symptoms were gone (slightly bleeding gums). They refused to schedule me unless I proceeded with this deep cleaning. This prompted to me to ask for a second opinion. They couldn't believe I was recommended this treatment in the first place. The calcium buildup was easily addressed with a routine cleaning.
