Positive experience: Scarlet (hygienist) knows how to treat a patient. Very kind, professional and a perfect addition to any dental office. I highly recommend this dental practice for a myriad of reasons. But this visit, Scarlet gets the gold!

Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit to Market Common Dentistry on Farrow Parkway. I changed from my dentist in N. Myrtle Beach to Myrtle Beach after I had a dental issue that gave me anxiety issues regarding future cleanings. I am thrilled with Dr. Latvis and Alison who was my hygienist. They were professional, gentle, answered all my questions and I left there with no more anxiety issues about going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic, old school brick and mortar, private practice with modern technology. Last 3 yrs I have driven back to FL to see my old dentist because I couldn’t find a dentist in Myrtle Beach. A week after a 6 mo check-up in FL, I cracked a molar. Searched for a local practice to help so I wouldn’t have to drive 12 hrs to FL dentist. Called a few and when the receptionist at Market Common Dentistry answered the phone, I knew it was the practice I was looking for. It’s not a drive through dentist like so many out there. The dentists, dental assistants, and hygienists are some of the best that I have ever visited. They treat you like a friend, not a nameless customer. I feel super comfortable there. The team is thorough. They don’t push you through to get another customer in the chair. Couldn’t ask for better care. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: They always take you promptly at your appointment time and the dental hygienist are always very thorough in cleaning your teeth. Dr. Mills is very professional in accessing your dental needs while also displaying a casual attitude and conversation which makes the appointment less stressful. You won’t find a more modern or cleaner dental practice in the Myrtle Beach area.

Negative experience: I don’t mean to insult anyone’s intelligence but this dental office has dental assistants working there that are rude, disrespectful and like to belittle other people. I don’t think you should get your dental work done here i believe the dentist is a beginner. He says he has degrees buttttt idk. Also the lead dental assistant kept implying that she wanted a tito’s shot with a lemon. How dare she? Idk just saying. They do like to comment on my reviews and say that it wasn’t market commons but it was IN FACT at that office.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Market, Common, dentistry since they opened. I won’t go any place else. I have anxiety about going to the dentist and everyone is welcoming patient and kind from the time you walk in to meeting all of the staff. The experience both dentists are top-notch and spend time explaining everything. They do great dental work. I can’t speak for everyone, but my personal experiences are outstanding. It’s the only place my husband and I will go for our teeth.

Positive experience: Had a bad experance with market commons dentistry after about six .mounts of runing to their office about 12times to let them make my dentures for some reason they could not make a good set of dentures whies the blame tell me them or the lab now they telling me to go some were else. So i would not recommend them to get my dentures made the staff was nice but dont wast your time going to market commons

Fantastic experience: Everyone please listen up! Please make sure you read this! Im literally just getting in my truck right after getting some work done. This place..... Market Common Dentistry.... Is by far the BEST dentist i've ever been to!! I am unfortunately one of those people who need double shots......double gas double sedation....you name it.....I need it all! They are so awesome at this place! They try to be as gentle as they can! I will also admit that I'm one of those people that need to be coddled like a small child when it comes to dental work. That's how they made me feel which was really good for me..... And I am a 43 year old man LOL I feel bad though because I don't remember the dentist name who did the work...... but I will not go anywhere else again except for this place! Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Dr. James Mills at Market Common Dentistry for dental care for over 20 years. The service has always been professional and thorough. His dental hygienist, Christina, is the best.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service! Woman at the counter had an attitude and was blaming me. You should have seen the faces she gave me too. They don’t take insurance of any kind. I know. In the past they said we don’t take it and then they take my insurance and run it. I go in and they’re grilling me about not sure if they take it. She calls them. She said they’re saying they pay 70% but their fees could be different. You might get a bill in the mail later saying you owe more. I said no I am not doing that. They did that to me last time bill after bill and it added up to a lot. She asked if I wanted to cancel and I said yes I’m not going to pay some yet to be determined fee when money is tight. She told me there could be a cancellation fee. I said it’s not my fault and she said it is my fault I came in with the intention of not having insurance and now having it. Everyone know insurance starts over new year so I got insurance for dental. No surprise there. I can’t help it I had my kitchen sink break and water all over my house and had to pay that and I don’t have $400 today. So now I wait for a possible bill in the mail for canceling. I have never been made feel like the she did at a doctors office. I went in with the intention of them taking insurance and if it too much not doing everything like only cleaning no X-rays. I didn’t go in with intentions of not doing the visit at all. According to her though I did. Now the work I needed done since summer of 2024 will have to wait even longer. I’ve waited months for this appointment and was here so early. If I had intentions of not doing anything I wouldn’t have shown up that simple. Her attitude and oh we may send you more bills are what changed my intentions to nothing.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mills and his team are always very helpful, professional and make your dental experience pleasurable. His dental hygienist, Dana is excellent as well. She maintains and updates all personal information to insure your dental health is well taken care of.

Fantastic experience: Just had oral surgery with Dr. Mills and his staff. I opted for NItrous Oxide over sedation because I wanted to be able to drive myself home. The experience was painless and I haven't even had to take pain pills since the surgery two days ago. The staff was wonderful, caring and concerned. Can't say enough praise for this somewhat scary but then painless experience.

Fantastic experience: After moving to NMB, a week later, I lost a front tooth! My crown had broken off at the gum line! I was referred to Market Commons Dentistry, Dr. Latvis, a prosthodontist, due to the tooth's damage. Dr. Latvis is WONDERFUL! He explained each x-ray, what was needed and the process he would recommend. He answered all my questions and concerns and we came up with a plan of action. His assistant, Tracy was a joy! She was very knowledgeable and kind, knowing I have a bit of dental phobia. She put my fears at rest and all in all, it was a pleasant experience! Negative experience: Latfis good Dr Make sure you know that they charge twice the amount to get paid by your insurance and YOU! They don't tell you on the front end, they just ask for payment when it's done! It's not any better than any other dentist. I'm moving to a dental practice that honors my insurance without extra charge. There are plenty!!
