Fantastic experience: I'm new to the area and needed to find a dentist. I was with my prior dentist in Pittsburgh for over 40 yrs. It's a dawnting task trying to find a new dentist. I've found the best with Murrells Inlet Dental. The front office staff of Ally and Kristen are so welcoming, personable, knowledgeable and helpful. Dr Cantrell is an amazing dentist and makes me laugh everytime I see him. Krista and hygienist are excellent as well. Overall, they exceed all my expectations and I actually enjoy going to the dentist. I highly recommend them.

Positive experience: My hygienist left and I was never notified. I was given a day "temp" who was nice but unfortunately when taking X-rays he cut my upper mouth which left skin hanging and created a canker sore. The entire back of my mouth was dark red

Christie, the wonderful woman at "check-out" is the the kindest, most patient, and so friendly that you just want to stay and chat with her. Any other dental office could learn from her on how to be the best at what you do! EVERY person that works up-front is nothing but professional, extremely helpful, and works to make your visit as pleasant as a trip to the dentist can be. From helping explain insurance benefits, to working with you on rescheduling/scheduling appointments...they are THE BEST!!..and the dentists are great as well:)

Fantastic experience: Darcy has been my hygienist since I have been a client. She has always made me feel comfortable. I experienced anxiety always at the dentist but am able to calm down with her. She has educated me on taking care of my teeth and has helped me make an improvement between my visits. She listens well and guides me on making choices in my care. Dr Cantrell is good to work with. I appreciate his humor and chair side manner. I like being a client here and look forward to many years of care.

Positive experience: The front office people and the hygienist are absolutely amazing. They were kind, patient, and super informative. They make you feel comfortable and welcome. I purchased the dental discount plan and I understand I have to be sent out for a majority of my dental work, but my cavities should’ve been able to be done there. The dentist didn’t seem to care about the cost for his patients. I feel truly dismissed and passed off. The dentist didn’t even spend 2 minutes in the room. He spoke quickly, asked if I had any questions about what he said, yawned in my face and said he needed caffeine, then told me good luck and just left the room. I was recommended here by family and it was unfortunately not the experience I had hoped for. Again, I just want to reiterate how extremely wonderful the office staff and the dental hygienist were. I can’t thank them enough for their time and kindness!

Fantastic experience: After a bad tooth cracked, I called at 8:00 AM and they got me in for a 9:30 appt. They had to pull the tooth that was very difficult. I can't praise them enough.

Fantastic experience: Start at the top, Dr Cantrell is really great at his job. The man knows teeth! Tonia and all the assistants are so in tune with the doctor- a well oiled machine. Lindsey saved my gums from total disaster with deep cleaning and advice for at home care. The front office ladies couldn’t be more helpful. Christie understands the insurance and is sympathetic when I’m all out of those funds! She can help get an emergency appointment if I’m really hurting. Going to this dentist is almost a pleasure… almost.

Fantastic experience: The first thing I noticed when arriving is that everyone in the entire office had a smile on their faces...WOW. You never see that anywhere. And as many times as I have been, it is always the same. Friendly, helpful, professional staff...Oh,BTW the dentist is not any different. Great office and great dental care. The Best!!

Fantastic experience: I’m writing to convey my Gratitude for the Excellent Customer Service i have experienced at the Murrells Inlet Dental Group. I have been a patient there for 2 years now. I love my Dentist Dr Tommy Cantrell and his assistant Tanya is the Best!! Also their Dental hygienist Joy is amazing!! As for the front office, I miss Peter who use to work there when I first started, unfortunately he retired, but Christie and Danielle are always so courteous and helpful. Everyone is so kind!! The entire staff always goes out of their way to ensure all my needs are met. Honestly they all provide a level of service that truly exceeded my expectations and made me feel valued as a customer and patient. My only regret is I didn’t go there sooner!!! Doreen Cooper

Fantastic experience: Love this practice! Dr Cantrell is friendly and makes you feel at ease! His assistant is also awesome! She prepared a temporary crown for my front tooth that looked wonderful…(no one could tell it was a temporary crown!) The permanent crown turned out great! No one can tell I have a crown in the front of my mouth! Everyone I have dealt with at this practice is friendly & professional! Thanks for all you do!

Fantastic experience: Murrells Inlet Dental Group has a friendly and positive attitude towards their patients. This office also seems to have a relaxed environment. I like my dental hygienist, Darcy, who is always patient with me.

Fantastic experience: I was in a lot of pain from inflamed root, they got me in the day before thanksgiving. Although they could not definitively determine what root was inflamed, prescribed Keflex, which relieved the pain after one dose. Referral to an endodontis was provided. Awesome

Negative experience: It was a 5 star place when the main dentist who liked metallica was still there. Have a denture they oversized and gave me problems for the longest time. Very unpleasant experience . The woman at the front desk is very kind .

Fantastic experience: A very pleasant experience. The staff and doctor were very friendly and personable. My dental needs were in good hands. Flouride treatment was non-covered under my insurance, however they provided it to me at a discounted out of pocket cost. Will definitely be returning.

Fantastic experience: Saw Darcy, hygienist, for regular cleaning and check up. Had used prescription mouthwash after oral surgery and it stains the teeth badly. She took extra care to clean and polish my teeth to remove the staining. She is patient, caring and very thorough.

Fantastic experience: My first time there, went for a cleaning. Super efficient staff and friendly, Made me feel real comfortable. The hygienist did a thorough exam and explained everything. She was not able to do the cleaning due to my bone loss and recommended that I go to my periodontist who are able to go that deep. I appreciated her honesty.

Fantastic experience: I was really nervous for my appointment because it’s been a very long time since I’ve been to the dentist. From the time I walked in the gentleman at the front desk make me feel very comfortable. He offered me a hand holding service for 10 dollars. lol. I quickly felt comfortable and started to calm down. Lindsay came to get me and once again she put me at ease. She had a tv in her room and asked me if I wanted her to change the channel. I was happy to watch what was on just sit distract what was going on! She did X-rays and showed them to me and explained a lot of things I needed to know. We are on a plan to get my gums happy and move on to regular care. Then the dentist came in and he had just as great of a personality and humor as the rest of the team. I’m very excited to be working with them and getting my teeth back on track. The check out process was amazing too she told me what was covered by my insurance and what I would be responsible for.
