Fantastic experience: I am totally impressed! The staff is very friendly and the environment is every bit of what I would expect from a first rate Dental Office. Granted, the initial paperwork needing to be filled out was a lot but then how else could they be best prepared to serve your needs. I retired 6 years ago and back then couldn't get dental insurance through my Medicare provider. It has been that long since I visited a dentist office. The x-rays went without a hitch and after a brief review I was introduced to Dr. Omar Abdel Rahim. Do you call it bedside manner when you are sitting in a dentist's chair? Well, he couldn't have been more genuine, friendly, and welcoming. No reproach for the long lapse in my care. Very thorough in questioning and analysis. Seriously weighed my opinions and came up with an agreeable plan for recovery. Sometimes, you just know. This is my dentist. I am certain you will feel the same.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience getting my cavity fillings done here. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and professional, which immediately helped ease my nerves. The dentist took the time to explain everything clearly before starting, so I knew exactly what to expect. The procedure itself was surprisingly smooth and virtually painless. They made sure I was comfortable the entire time and checked in often to make sure I wasn’t feeling any discomfort. You can tell they really care about their patients and take pride in their work. Everything felt clean, organized, and efficient, and I never felt rushed. Recovery was easy, and the fillings feel great—no issues at all. I’d definitely recommend this office to anyone needing dental work, especially if you’re a little anxious about getting fillings. They made the whole experience much better than I expected.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been putting off going to the dentist like it was a jury summons crossed with a haunted house. Then I stumbled across Dr. Omar’s Instagram and figured… okay, this guy seems normal. So glad I went. Dr. Omar was genuinely one of the easiest dentists I’ve ever talked to. Super down to earth, confident without being arrogant, and never once did the whole “lecture you while your mouth is open and you physically cannot defend yourself” thing. He made everything feel relaxed and straightforward. Aileen/Eileen (not sure of spelling/sorry!) was also incredibly sweet and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Honestly, if dental anxiety had a natural predator, it might be this office. Highly recommend!!!

Positive experience: I arrived there today for my 1PM appointment. Was taking right away into the room, but it happened again!! The assistant left me there and for 25 minutes, no one came back to see me or advise me about the delay! When I complained to the dentist, his remark was that I was booked there for one hour of time! That kind of response made me sick!

Negative experience: Dr Omar is a phenomenal dentist, but the past couple years have been horrible with scheduling my appointments. Almost every appointment I've had in the past 2 years gets canceled and rescheduled. I dont mind a canceled appointment, I get it life happens, but to reschedule me 6 months out is just absolutely insane. Im supposed to have a re-examination every year, but didn't have one last year because my appointment got pushed back twice. Unfortunately this has been a re-occuring thing with almost every single appointment I've had in the past 2 years. Because of this Im going somewhere else. If you have bad teeth like me and need extra attention, steer clear from here for a while.

Negative experience: I did not have a good experience at Orcutt Dental Studio. First of all, they rescheduled my appointment for a filling twice. I obliged and worked around my schedule to make it happen. Secondly, even with dental insurance I still owed $150 for my filling. Lastly, when I tried to reschedule a dental cleaning (24 hour notice) they would not budge and threatened to charge me $100 because I did not give 48 hour notice. The receptionist who answered the phone was EXTREMELY rude to me and claimed I had confirmed my dental cleaning appointment when I never did. I received a reminder text on April 8th and never confirmed it. I recommend going literally anywhere else for your dentistry needs. This is a shameful business that overcharges and does not work with their patients when their patients are willing to work with them! Do not go here.

Negative experience: Well, I've been going to this place for at least 13 years now, but I now have to find another dentist. They no longer have appointments that work with my work schedule and having to get my daughter from school. Just to get my cavity taken care, they only have certain days and only certain times. The lady at check out stated, "Nobody has ever had a problem with the scheduling." So, needless to say I must now find someone else to take care of my teeth.

Even with having to get X-rays done, Leah got me in and out efficiently and quickly without any discomfort. He mapped out a plan for me to get things going in manageable sessions to get me back to full dental health. Finally a dentist that waited for me to be totally numb before proceeding with drilling and prepping for a crown and most recently an extraction in preparation for an implant. I have good insurance and knew I needed dental work done. Wow, I love the atmosphere here, and they immediately made me feel at ease. Fantastic experience: I don’t write many reviews but in this case , I wanted to share my thoughts. From the first call to Orcutt Hills Dental studio until I walked out of the office, I was impressed! The young ladies in the office either greeted me as I walked in or as I walked by. They weren’t there to collect a paycheck, they were there for the patients. Dr. Omar was so informative and gave me all of my options with the hows and whys. Noticing I was a little emotional (hearing the same treatment plan my dad had started just 3 months before he passed) changed the conversation to hear more about my dad. That is compassion! Not one person in that entire office was ever too busy to stop, say something positive or answer any questions I had. Hands down the most compassionate and delightful office I’ve been to in a long time! Thank you Dr. Omar and your entire team for making my day that much brighter.
