Was referred here by my dentist for a root canal on a heavily infected tooth and I must admit I was quite anxious about the procedure and had been putting it off for a very long time as I had heard from so many people that root canals are just really so unpleasant and painful. But my experience with Rancho Mirage Endodontics was truly Exceptional- and that is a not word I throw around lightly. Literally every aspect of my experience was 10/10. ALL of the staff were SO nice, so pleasant to speak with, so calming and just an absolute pleasure to be around. There is truly such a fantastic uplifting positive energy in that office it was quite remarkable. The procedure itself was so quick, both Dr.Rita Hung and her assistant made me feel so comfortable and well looked after, I experienced literally ZERO pain and discomfort, you can tell that everybody on this team is genuinely passionate about what they do, and they are legitimately the BEST OF THE BEST. In the event that I or any of my friends or family need endodontic work in the future, I would tell them do not even bother looking anywhere else. So grateful for their professionalism and their energy. Made the whole experience genuinely ENJOYABLE.

Fantastic experience: I was referred (by a local dentist) to Rancho Mirage Endodontics for an emergency Root Canal. During an annual family Holiday visit; my lower left molar suddenly had great pain. Dr. Rita Hung was kind, clear, walked me through every step in the immediate and what to expect in the future. The staff, especially nurse/asst. Dulce (sp?) were professional and made me feel comfortable and alleviated the “mental” misery at every step. I am in recovery on the day after the emergency procedure and I am pain free and following steps to completely healed. I highly, highly recommend Rancho Mirage Endodontics if you are a local, or a visitor in need of service. 5 stars, or more if allowed.

Fantastic experience: Good afternoon, the ONLY problem I had was finding the office, but when I did I was so nicely greeted by Cathy, who assisted me in filling out the paperwork, I was led into a procedure room by a very friendly nurse who took x rays, then Dr hong came in , I was nervous about the the root canal procedure, but she was absolutely amazing, she explained what was she was going to do, I must say I had no discomfort and the dr was as I said was so kind and I must say caring, what I believed was a positive experience

No one wants to go to the dentist, much less an endodontist, but I had to see Dr. Halasa twice recently on an emergency basis, with the 2nd visit resulting in a root canal, for which he and his staff made me comfortable with nitrous oxide. Everyone there was very gentle and comforting.

Fantastic experience: I’m a former dental professional so I’ve still traveled back to LA for my dental treatments. The other day I noticed some swelling in the lower jaw in the area of tooth # 31 and know that generally is the start of an abscess and usually needs root canal. I checked local reviews and scheduled to see Dr. Halasa in the Rancho Mirage office. Staff was friendly and efficient- they took a few periapical x-rays of the area which is very standard procedure. Dr. Halasa was very friendly, thorough and competent. He reviewed the x-rays, did pulp tests on the tooth and even a dental CT. The tooth will eventually need root canal but it appears the lump is probably more like a sebaceous cyst so he referred me to an Oral Surgeon for evaluation. I researched this and also have an evaluation scheduled with my dermatologist later this month. Dr. Halasa had such concern and integrity about my situation- I can’t say enough about how pleased I was with him and his staff….I’ll go back for the root canal after I get the other issue resolved first!

Fantastic experience: Super nice and friendly staff as well as the Dr. I was a bit overwhelmed at first when I arrived because of all the forms and questions one has to fill out, so the Front office staff came out and helped me! That was so nice of them. And then I was escorted back to tbe back and the nurse who did the initial check on my teeth and took the CAT scan and x-ray was so so wonderful. Probably the gentlest, nicest, compassionate person I’ve ever dealt with in a doctors office. I’m sorry I forgot your name. Would definitely and undoubtedly recommend it to all friends and family.

Fantastic experience: I needed 2 root canals re-treated after having made the mistake of going to Algodones, Mexico, six years prior. Even though dentists there are 1/3 cheaper than those in the U.S., don't go there! I was referred to an endodontist group in Palm Desert but did not feel comfortable that the dentist I saw was board certified or even that experienced in root canals. His profile wasn't even on their website alongside the other endodontists. He did not explain much and wanted me to go four times to treat two teeth. So I consulted on the phone with Stephanie at Rancho Mirage Endodontics. She was knowledgeable and convinced me to give them a try. I met the lovely assistant, Mary, and then with Dr. Rita and was immediately impressed. She quickly ascertained why cold was causing pain, something that had baffled two dentists and one endodontist. Their equipment was state-of-the-art, very impressive, and their demeanor calming. Dr. Rita was expert at scanning and searching the cat scans she took of my mouth and using those images to assist and guide her work. Dr. Rita soon started to work. Working in unison with her assistant, Mary, she deftly drilled, filed, and expertly controlled an array of tools and machines. I, too, work with my hands and tools, and recognize that she is an artist and extremely competent. In a relatively short time she told me the canals were clear it was ok to proceed with filling them. I said yes, and she actually finished both teeth in one visit! And the other endodontist would have had me get numbed four times! It is so nice to find someone who is highly competent at what they do.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hung and her staff were excellent! I went in for my very first root canal....and hopefully the last I was nervous never having experienced a root canal before. Dr. Hung and her staff made me feel super comfortable and I never felt ANY pain.... truly! I was in & out in about 90 minutes. HIGHLY recommend this place. Negative experience: I spent about $600 for an exam and CBCT scan. Ultimately Dr. Al Halasa's diagnosis was inconclusive. Of course he wanted to perform a root canal anyways which would involve both destroying a beautiful expensive onlay I had recently installed and killing the tooth. Even though he couldn't really pinpoint the reason for my dental pain - he said I should undergo the procedure because the tooth could "blow up at anytime" I said no thanks, if it "blows up" I'll come back. I suggested that the occlusion might need to be adjusted a little- he checked and did a little adjustment. 6 months later the tooth is totally fine. He certainly seems competent and I would probably let him work on me if I had a bonfide endodontic problem however I found that he was far too eager (like most dentists) to root canal the tooth.
