Fantastic experience: My first visit to this facility was fantastic. The staff is so friendly, the environment is inviting, and I just felt welcomed. A plus is that they are in my insurance network. All pricing was discussed upfront. I was given a treatment plan that I modified to meet my needs. The staff worked with me and I felt very comfortable. I am happy I found this establishment.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had such a wonderful experience at Colonial Family Dentistry! Lauren, Bri, and Megan at the front desk are SO friendly, welcoming, and sweet. They’re so easy to chat with and immediately make you feel comfortable. I was even called to see if I could come in earlier for my appointment, which was so convenient! My dental hygienist, Kayla, was absolutely wonderful! I loved talking with her, and she did such a great job. Dr. Salem was also very kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. Everyone here does such a great job making you feel comfortable and cared for. This was only my second visit, and I’ve had such a great experience so far. I’m so glad I found Colonial Family Dentistry and would definitely recommend them!

Negative experience: I have been coming to this office for six years and today out of the blue I was asked to provide ID,...when I said I was not comfortable with providing it, due to privacy concerns, my feelings were dismissed and I was accused of being aggressive because I stated my position. Your staff bullied me into providing the ID stating they needed if for insurance purposes which is untrue, no insurance company asks for ID to make a claim. Ridiculous. I will be looking for another dentist. On another note the hygienist was pleasant.

Fantastic experience: After moving to Williamsburg, I had difficulty finding a dentist. Long story short, I found this hidden gem. I would give this office a 10/10!! All of the front office staff is friendly, overly helpful and kind. The dental hygenist I had, Megan was awesome. My dentist Dr Rowe is amazing! She is gentle, explains everything she is doing, and gives her honest opinion and advice, yet lets you make your own choices. And Lauren at the check out desk is the sweetest and also so helpful. Everyone there communicates well and really makes the dentist visit a positive experience! And with my dental record that is reallly impressive! Thank you colonial family dentistry! In addition, I saw Dr DiGuardia today for the first time to repair a tooth that i broke on vacation. Megan again was my dental assistant. They were both exceptional!! Dr DiGuardia clearly explained my options before treatment. The tooth feels stronger and looks better than it did before. I love this office!! They are always on time and explain everything clearly. Negative experience: July 20, 2026 This office has changed, not for the better, since Dr. Fiscella retired. When it became Colonial Family Dentistry I needed a crown for two years in a row when there was no concern in the past expressed by Dr. Fiscella. Before coming here when I needed a crown, the crown was always done by the dentist. The ones done here were mostly done by someone else, not the dentist. There seems to be a regular turnover of dentists, not lasting very long. The new office location is very up to date; however, I get the feeling I am helping to pay for it. The staff all seem young and the customer service is not what it was. I came for my 6 month check up and had a new dental hygienist. I was not informed of this ahead of time. The dental hygienist asked what flavor of fluoride I wanted. She did not ask me "if" I wanted the fluoride treatment or if it was covered. I learned after the fact that my insurance did not cover the fluoride as well as some of the x-rays. My bill for a normal six month check up was about $130. I have always had the office ask in the past "if" I wanted the fluoride and was told if it was covered, or not, as well as any other costs that are not covered. When my insurance broker's assistant called the office she spoke with Cassie and was told they always inform the patient what is and what is not covered. When I went to your office and asked to speak to the office manager, she said they do not do this and refunding me the $39 would be insurance fraud. It turned out that I was speaking with Cassie. Found a new dentist. November 22, 2024...... Well, Dr. Felten is no longer there. My last appointment card said Danielle Di Guardia, Loan Lieu and Melika Rahmani. The appointment card for this year says Danielle DiGuardia and Anne Rowe. Last year when I had a crown done the dental assistant didn't put the temp crown on tightly and it came off and my gums were inflamed. I needed a crown this year and mentioned my experience last year. They made an effort to keep my gums from being inflamed and put the crown on tightly; however the temp crown is full of sharp edges and I hope my tongue doesn't get sore from touching it until the permanent crown is attached. I had to wait while the dental assistant cleaned all of the equipment and then had to step over some of the equipment to be able to leave. While I appreciate the owners response below, not sure why even if someone is conservative in their approach they wouldn't mention bone loss. Since Dr. Felten's leaving the approach to the patient appears to be quick, like Dr. Fiscella. I hope this improves. I do appreciate being seen quickly due to my tooth being cracked and needing a crown before going on vacation. The staff are always friendly and helpful and aided me in doing a payment plan for the crown as well as scheduling the crown quickly. I like Dr. Felten, he spent time with me and helped me with a tooth concern. Evidently this was a concern for a few years which Dr. Fiscella did not address in her very brief visits with me that lasted for at most1 minute. I am hoping Dr. Felten can stay over the long term, but understand that may not be the case. I am very disappointed this concern was not pointed out to me by the lady that cleaned my teeth when it was first noticed. It should not take Dr. Fiscella retiring and getting a new dentist to learn I have bone loss on a tooth that could have been avoided.

They’re always super patient with any questions I have or if my dental anxiety gets the best of me! The staff worked very well and New doctor every time he came has stabilized with two doctors who are still there after the flurry of changes. The hygienist was excellent, and the doctor was thorough. Positive experience: What an amazing and refreshing experience! Colonial Dentistry was recommended by my insurance company and they did not disappoint. Walking in we were greeted with a smile, and a helpful front desk staff who helped ease my fear. The wait time was not long especially with me being an emergency appointment. Each of the technicians greeted me and introduced themselves as well as their role. Dr. Diguardia was wonderful. Patience, kind, sympathetic and thorough. Even when she was extracting my tooth, she was empathetic to my pain level and assured me that I was going to be okay. The squishy helped and Megan allowed me to squeeze her hand. Fantastic experience: My visit entailed a deep cleaning in which I had to be numbed. The hygienist who numbed my gums did it quickly and gently. She did a great job! The other hygienist was Lisa. She did a wonderful job deep cleaning my gums! She took her time and paid great detail to make sure my cleaning was done correctly. Fantastic experience: Great dentist and support staff. Pleasant and efficient, even in dealing with odd requests due to allergies. They show photos while you sit and they are very happy and calming. Or look out the window for a nice view of the wooded landscape. If you need a dentist, this one is excellent.... as is the support staff.

Fantastic experience: Colonial Family Dentistry took great care of me at my appointment. Jen, my hygienist, explained everything to me, was cordial, friendly and knowledgeable. After my cleaning, because I was so comfortable with her and confident in her skills I mentioned some pain in my mouth that I’ve had for many years and was too embarrassed to say anything about. She quickly understood what it was caused by, gave me options how to treat it, consulted Dr Rowe about it and administered the perfect solution right then and there. All in less than an hour. Amazing!!! Colonial Dentistry is simply the best treatment I’ve ever received.

Negative experience: I have followed Dr piascik to dr Fiscella and then moved with Colonial Family Dentistry. I never had a problem with my apts until Colonial Family Dentistry. Since the integrated office assistants are leaving and are being replaced by such incompetent personnel to maybe save a buck the whole place has gone to the dumps, they didn’t tell me that my insurance didn’t approve a crown and surprised me with a bill that was way more than planned. We all have to budget these days! In March I had made my apt for septembers cleaning and check up. My usual Wednesday wasn’t available so I chose Tuesday afternoon, since I can leave earlier rather then coming in late to work. I get the usual message about confirmation and someone moved it to 10:00am. Since my work is apt based as well I am not flexible at all on short notice. The pits was that they insisted it was me that made the mistake. I most certainly didn’t! So they gave me an apt for February 4th and put me on a cancelation list. I had 2 calls for a potential apt that didn’t work for me. Each time they confirmed my apt in Feb. I didn’t get a text reminder a few days before so I called, and, surprise, my apt was not in the books again. And again they tried to blame me and wanted to move my apt another 6 month out. This Place has turned into the most unprofessional Patient care, no matter that the Dentist is capable the office is so incompetent that I foresee a complete failure in their future! If I could give minus stars it would be -5!

Fantastic experience: I have a tough situation - a bridge that failed. Huge “open” spot in my mouth now. The dentist, Dr Diguardia, looked at this “situation”, was calm (when I wasn’t) and gave me two (2) do-able plans to remedy the “situation”. I can’t help but appreciate Dr Diguardia and also her assistant in the room, Desaree. Today, I had more work done - almost ready for the mold for a new bridge. Brooke was the assistant today for Dr DiGuardia - did a great job.

Fantastic experience: I cracked and broke a tooth on Labor Day weekend. Called the office and left a message. To my amazement, Dr Rose called back from a wedding! Said to come in early when they opened. Went in, and they diagnosed a broken tooth in need of a crown but no root canal. They asked if I could stay and get it fixed. Sure no problem. So they did the first part of a crown right there. I can’t imagine better service. Dr Rose and Desiree were excellent.

Fantastic experience: Desiree was so nice and informative. Dr Ann Rowe has an excellent “chair side” demeanor. Their dentistry tools are state of the art ones. I’ve never seen before. I have found my new family dentist that makes me feel very comfortable.

Fantastic experience: This was first appointment with this dentist. I’m so glad that I switched over. They are much more thorough compared to my previous dentist. I show Dr. Rowe and she was very thorough and friendly. Lisa was my hygienist and she was awesome. The office setting is very calming especially being surrounded by trees outside. I was a little anxious because of my previous experiences with other dental practices. I’m so glad that my nerves calmed down afterwards.
