Had a bad toothache and knew the tooth had to come out.... had really bad experiences in the past with dentists but he made me feel so comfortable by explaining all the expectations before doing anything. The extraction was super comfortable too. Staff are super friendly too. I have a new dentist that I am staying with forever. THANK YOU!!!

Negative experience: Waited around for a cleaning appointment for 20 minutes and saw 4 other people come in and get seen before me before I left. Dental services are fine, but I don't like wasting my time and someone could have said they were running late without me having to ask what was going on.

Fantastic experience: As someone who has always been anxious about going to the dentist, I can honestly say Coventry Family Dental completely changed that for me. They make the entire experience feel easy and comfortable, and I actually look forward to my cleanings now. The front desk team is consistently warm and welcoming, the hygienists are gentle yet thorough, and the doctor takes the time to remember personal details and have genuine conversations. It makes all the difference.

Positive experience: This place was great the two times I went. Did a really great job of cleaning my teeth. They used the high powered water mechanism to clean my teeth as well as scaling and polishing, etc. So my teeth always felt really clean and seemed to stay cleaner longer than the scaling alone that I'm used to from other dentists. But be warned they will call you a week or two before your appointment stating they need to reschedule because "they're down a hygenist". Happened to me at least twice and I havent been going there long. Mayb3 a year and a half. So I finally decided to find a new dentist. Which is a shame since I really liked this place. The staff was nice and they didn't charge me weird out of pocket costs like my last dentist did. With my insurance the cost for the cleaning was totally free. And like I stated above I really liked the technique used to clean my teeth. Hope this review helps.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient of Dr. Gelfand for many years, since he took the practice over from my childhood dentist, Dr McLinn. This office has always been there for me, is very communicative, and I think I’ve had every possible procedure. Dr Gelfand is an excellent clinician, I trust him completely, and he has the patience of a Saint. He answers every question and explains the plan and coaches along the way, which is very supportive of those of us with dental anxiety.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been here a few times now and wanted to wait to make a review. My cleaning was thorough and painless and the hygienist was such a nice women and explained everything she was doing. The women at the front desk who help with insurance and making appointments are out of this world wonderful, knowledgeable, kind and helpful. The dentist and the dental assistance who worked on my teeth were kind, supportive and professional. Getting my cavities worked on was 100% painless. I’m so happy to have found this office and all the wonderful people there. I am a nervous nelly and was even a little embarrassed about my teeth as I haven’t seen a dentist is a few years but they eased my anxiety, put me at ease about how I felt and made sure I felt comfortable and supported, I’m so Grateful. Negative experience: The first visit today for cleaning with Michaela ( hope I spell correctly for her name ) I have good experience with her. That was my first visit review: the service was great until my last appointment on 7/2/25, which was handled by a new student who seemed like she had just graduated. I don’t remember her name, but she was very rough when cleaning my teeth. I tried to stop multiple times because it was hurting my gums, blood all over but she kept going and didn’t seem to care at all. I will not be coming back to this place.

Fantastic experience: Coventry Family Dental has the BEST staff. They are all very friendly and professional from check in to check out. They communicate exactly what needs to be done, and how to accomplish that. They let you know the exact cost of things getting done before the appt, so your not getting slammed with a big bill from your insurance co. when you leave, they work tirelessly with your insurance to get what the patient needs to minimize costs, they are awesome... When you walk in the door, they all acknowledge you by name, you are not just a number there AND they don't leave you sitting there for an hour in the waiting room causing more anxiety. Starr is one of the newer addition to their team, and she was excellent with me. She took me right in and didn't keave me sitting in the waiting room and started what needed to be done before the Dr came in. She is professional, yet friendly and explained everything to me so that I understood my next steps, what needs to be done, and how I can achieve it. Even though the Dr told me already, I had some questions and Starr walked me through it and explained it all to me and what my care plan was. She is a positive asset to that team, and a good Dr starts with a great team... When you need an appt., you don't wait weeks to see the Dentist and if it's an emergency, they usually see you that day or at least the next. Dr G is the nicest Dr, he's calm, gentle, and helps you make the best decision for your health and needs, he is always out for his patients, I can't say enough kind things about him or the staff there. ****One day I had an appt and called to cancel due to a vehicle issue, when I called, they offered to come transport me ... Now THAT should show you exactly how caring all of the staff are.. Try em, you'll agree..

Negative experience: Just had the worst experience here with some hygienist filling in! She told me I had to wear a pair of sunglasses for rules and regulations but they weren't even a fresh new pair so I knew they were clean and told me she disinfect them every time but should of done that in front of me so I knew that they were clean and they were beat up looking! She then was making rude and disrespectful comments about my mom who was a dental hygienist growing up! Talk about unprofessional and dirty experience with not even cleaning those sunglasses for me to wear and not knowing who has wore them and her clean job was god awful! She was all over the place with my mouth and not gentle at all! Do not waste your time going here maybe others had better experiences but this was just disgusting, unprofessional and disrespectful!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I came to the office for a cleaning and explained that I had felt some pain in part of my mouth. The dental hygienist quickly identified that I had irritation in the roof of my mouth. She suggested several things to reduce the irritation. So far her suggestions have worked.

Positive experience: I've been going here for many years now. The doctor and his staff ate patient, kind and keep you at ease throughout the entire visit. My dental assistant, Mikala is absolutely wonderfull. I am 66 years old and have had many hygienists during my lifetime, but none as good as her. Professional, friendly, walks you through everything she is doing. She also is the first hygienist that doesn't "drown me" while using her water tools and such. A BIG THANK YOU to Mikala for taking care of me. I would give her 10 stars if I could.

Dr. Gelfand did it very gently, painlessly and much faster than I anticipated. Starr did great job assisting and helped me to clean my face after procedure.

Fantastic experience: So, I'm really not great at the dentist. More than a couple tough experiences have left me very nervous in the chair. However, Dr. G is kind, explains everything before it happens, communicates throughout the process, and his staff follows suit. The office staff is also very collaborative and has gone out of their way to make the process easy. In fact, my first visit was immediately after a wrist surgery. I arrived and immediately realized that I couldn't fill out paperwork. I offered to come back at a different time, but without hesitation one of their team members sat right next to me and filled in the paperwork as I provided the answers. I mean... c'mon... in today's world where else are you going to get that sort of 1:1 care and attention. I can't recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: My mom Barbara is 91 years old and now living in a nursing home with dementia. She still has all her own teeth. Today she had her front chipped tooth bonded along with X-rays and a good cleaning using the water pick. Tiffany is an excellent hygienist. Dr. Gelfand and his staff are very professional and friendly. My husband and myself are also patients of Dr. Gelfand. Thank you Coventry Family Dental. It’s August 27, 2024 and both my husband Richard and myself, Laurie are patients of Dr. Gelfand. We trust him and have faith in Dr. Gelfand to treat us. The entire staff is professional and friendly. The staff do take a tooth ache very seriously, as I can attest to!! Turned out to be a root canal, scheduled to be 2 days for an appointment opening...but they called due to a cancelation and asked if I could be there in an hour!!! Needless to say, I was there, and taken care of in about 45 minutes. Don't change..

Negative experience: This dentist told me I would only be charged $222 for 2 teeth which I was fine with. A week or so later I get a bill for $750!! My insurance covered part of it but the total came to almost $400 for things I DID NOT ASK FOR!! The dentist was well aware of the money issue and yet still decided to overbill me and do things I didn't ask for at the time of the visit. I honestly have no idea how they have such good reviews.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Coventry Family Dental for years. I went for my six month cleaning and for the first time, I had a male hygienist, names Sergio. I have to tell you he was outstanding. He has a very nice calm personality, and was very thorough, gentle, very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions giving me great advice. I requested Sergio for my next six month appointment and I was told me he was a there only temporarily. I was crushed! Dr. Gelfand, you would be doing yourself and your business a big advantage if you hired Sergio to be apart of your team!!

It’s incredibly important that I am able to schedule regular 6 month dental cleanings. Here I am always able to get my regular cleanings. Dr. Gelfand has provided exceptional treatment, treatment planning/ consultation and has always provided me with meaningful feedback on my teeth, dental hygiene and care. Very thankful to Mariah and Crystal for the excellent cleanings and advice on water picks!

The hygienists are very friendly and polite and should you need to see the dentist for a cavity, he ensures you are well no I cared and I have never felt a thing with drilling which had not been my experience from other dentists in the past. I definitely recommend this practice.
