Negative experience: I didn’t go here because they didn’t take my insurance, but I called them to see if they took my insurance. The guy told me no was very rude and hung up. No customer service at all!

Positive experience: I took my 5 year old son here the other day, to have his normal check up. It was our 1st time in this place. Overall, I would give the experience an A-!... The actual dentist was wonderful with my son! Which made, what I imagined before upon arrival, to be a very difficult, & stressful situation, into the complete opposite! She was a very wonderful, nice, & helpful woman! I wish I could have remembered her name, to make sure that she gets the positive credentials, as she deserves! However, there was a younger woman, who I would assume was just a dentals aide... She had been the one to call us back, when it was his turn. She was also responsible for taking my sons oral X-Ray at the beginning of my sons appointment. I cannot necessarily claim that the woman was particularly "rude". She was just very neutral. She didn't seem to really care as much as the actual dentist seemed to care, when it came down to trying to make my son feel more comfortable with the whole situation At one point, my son had grabbed her hand while she was looking in his mouth, due to being nervous... I personally felt as if she somewhat snapped at my 5 year old, "to let go of her hand". She also never smiled or anything. I feel that if you are in a field, where your going to be working with, & around children, that it is important to make every child aware that they are in good hands. That would begin with a smile! Also, we had to wait just a little longer, past our scheduled appointment time. That wouldn't bother me usually. I am very understanding that sometimes you will have to wait in establishments like so. However, it wouldn't have been such an issue, if they had a more kid friendly waiting area... They really could put a couple coloring books, toys, a kids table, & ECT in the waiting area, to make it more convenient for parents when taking their kid to their office. I also feel that it would make the childs experience a bit more comfortable.

Fantastic experience: The waiting room at Village Parkway Dental must be for decorative purposes only. It’s the most efficient medical facility I have ever visited. In 30 years, aside from one emergency, my running wait time is 10 minutes.Total. The office is white glove clean. Every member of the VPD team is not only professional but considerate. I care for my mother. I never asked VPD to do this, but they always make my mother’s appointment the same date and time as mine. Her last visit was last minute as she had a broken tooth. I had a cleaning appointment. They took care of my mother and helped her to my vehicle when we finished. They also sent a card to me when my father passed away. I cannot say enough positive things about VPD. Five *****

Fantastic experience: Dr Spence is the smartest and best dentist I’ve ever had do work in my mouth. He’s not only smart but very very gentle, he’s always concerned about my comfort. I was in the dentist chair over 2 hours today as Dr Spence did extensive work in my my mouth building up stuff and putting pins in places in order to save my bridge which had fallen out because teeth holding the bridge had broken off! Most dentists would have not been as creative and as smart as to attempt what Dr Spence did. It worked great and solved my problem and saved me lots of money. Fantastic experience: This was my first vist there. For my cleaning and exam. Everyone was very friendly they did through job. After cleaning I had some roughness they did some polish took care of issue. The dentist reviewed everything with me. Was very happy with service.

Negative experience: The “new people” are too rough. I was stabbed in the gums and in the tongue multiple times and my lip was pinched at least twice. What happened to Shellie? I remember being impressed with her.

Fantastic experience: Great appointment today. The hygienist cleaned my teeth and Dr. Spence checked to make sure there were no cavities!

Positive experience: trouble free visit. Attentive staff.

Negative experience: Usually the appointments are good there but this mast time I got a different hygienist to clean my teeth. She was not gentile. It felt like she was trying to pry my crowns off and my mouth was sore for 2 days afterward.

Fantastic experience: Had a very pleasant visit today. Shelly did a wonderful job of cleaning my teeth. They feel good! Dr. Spence is the best. His care and attention to detail is very appreciated. Also, the office staff Jonah and Mary are so nice! I posted the above review a while back and just wanted to update from my visit today. I had part of a molar chip off a few weeks ago and it was starting to bother me. I was able to get an appointment just a few days later. I went in today expecting to have to get a crown and was delighted to find out that Dr Spence was able to simply repair the tooth! And it only took half an hour! And the best part is it saved me some money :-). Dr Spence and his staff are the best! I am updating this post again after another visit about 2 years later. Dr. Spence really takes care to do things to perfection. And Katie is a very friendly and competent assistant. I'm really happy with the work they did. Thank you!
