Fantastic experience: Dr Piper and Monika made my extraction experience comfortable and they even made me laugh! I was treated with great care and I was numb before I even realized he was poking me! Their down to earth and kind personalities made me feel comfortable in a way I have never felt in a dental office; I’m usually a ball of nerves but with Hononegah Dental I feel like I can relax because they will take care of me. I received a phone call checking up on me later in the evening and one the following day to be sure I was on the mend and to answer any questions that may have come up. I will ALWAYS recommend Hononegah Dental!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Piper and the entire team. I woke up in excruciating pain from an infected wisdom tooth and was desperately trying to find someone who could help me. I had already called an oral surgeon, only to be told that I needed to see a dentist for X-rays and a referral first. I then called two other dental offices before calling this one, and both were completely booked. By the time I called here, I was the definition of a desperate patient. I explained that they were the third office I had called and that I was honestly starting to panic because of the amount of pain I was in. Even though they were fully booked, the staff took the time to listen to my situation and find a way to get me in. Looking back, I am so grateful the first two offices couldn't see me because it led me here. From the moment I walked through the door, every single person treated me like family. I wasn't just another patient on the schedule—I felt genuinely cared for. They listened, took my concerns seriously, and made me feel comfortable despite years of dental anxiety. The care I received went far beyond anything I expected. I came in for X-rays, an evaluation, and an antibiotic prescription, and that's essentially where their role could have ended. Instead, they went above and beyond for me every step of the way. What truly sets this office apart is what happened after I left. In the middle of the night, when the pain became unbearable, I called the office and left a voicemail hoping someone might get back to me the next day. Dr. Piper called me back almost immediately. He took the time to explain what was happening, walked me through how to get through the night, validated the severity of my pain, and reassured me that I wasn't being dramatic. At a time when I felt overwhelmed, exhausted, and desperate for relief, his kindness and willingness to help meant more than I can put into words. It would have been easy to wait until morning, but he didn't. That level of compassion is something I'll never forget. The next morning, I called as soon as the office opened. Within 30 minutes, the team had already been calling oral surgeons on my behalf and found someone who could see me urgently. Multiple members of the staff checked on me throughout the process to make sure I was okay and getting the care I needed. They continued to follow up throughout the next day to make sure I was taken care of. What makes this even more remarkable is that there was no financial incentive for them to do any of this. My wisdom tooth needed to be treated by an oral surgeon, not by them. They had already provided the X-rays and prescribed the antibiotics I needed. Yet they still spent their time making phone calls, coordinating care, checking on me, and helping me find relief. They went to extraordinary lengths for a patient who wasn't spending another dollar in their office. You can tell when people genuinely care, and you can tell when it's just customer service. What I experienced here was real. Every interaction felt sincere. They cared about me as a person, not just as a patient. If you have dental anxiety or have been putting off treatment for years, this is the office to call. They made me feel comfortable, heard, and never judged. I've avoided dental care for years because of anxiety, but this experience completely changed my perspective. For the first time, I'm actually excited to return and finally take care of my dental health because I know I'm in good hands. During the most painful and one of the most stressful experiences of my life, Dr. Piper and his team showed me a level of compassion, professionalism, and genuine care that is incredibly rare to find. If you're reading reviews trying to decide where to go, stop searching and call this office. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Ari explained the processes well and asked a lot of great questions to understand what I had been through. There was a very calm and happy energy from everyone I interacted with. They got to know me as a patient and created a good foundation. All of that fear has left and I’m thankful for my experience at Hononegah Dental.

Fantastic experience: I recently had an appointment with Dr. Piper and team, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! Dr. Piper is an excellent dentist. He was thorough and took the time to explain in clear, easy-to-understand terms.

Negative experience: If I could give this place zero stars I would. Haven’t had any prior experience with dentist offices before coming here & let me tell ya. I would turn around and just walk away. Very rude service at the front desk, every time I speak with LIZ she can’t help but make rude comments- (one being- she tried to say that I never had work done there - I accidentally said filling rather than crown- yet again lack of them educating me) can’t complain too much about the doctor or assistant as they were very nice- but with the little work I have gotten done by them - my crown is chipped and it hasn’t even been a year I’ve had it placed - the secretary refuses to let me be seen until my bill of less than 200$ is paid. I have excellent dental insurance & the lack of them educating me on how to handle limits on insurance & also lack of asking me what type of crown I would like is the result of why I have the bill to begin with.( Need I remind you- I have never been to a dentist prior -I was in high school & did dental through the school) Overall an awful experience in a desperate time of need. I was in awful pain and was needing two root canals on both sides of my mouth. At first I thought I was blessed with an understanding dental office as I was making 100$ payments to get my bill paid off. As soon as I complained about tooth pain and a chip in the crown she said I couldn’t return without payment - sketch- Had to find out through my insurance company the reason behind paying so much to them- as my insurance covers certain crowns and also has 90% coverage all around - but with limits- They put the most expensive tooth in my mouth and it still chipped Save the trip and find a different spot.

Fantastic experience: I can't comment on the techniques of the dentist since I have not had to have anything but cleanings with them. But I can say that the two dental hygienists I had were both awesome. I don't think I've ever been asked so much if their techniques were too invasive or painful. Very considerate of the patient experience.

They note down which teeth are sensitive and make sure they approach them in a more gentle way. I feel welcomed when I come into the office, I am spoken to with respect and enough knowledge to understand what is happening during the appointment. After the appointment is done the Dentist comes in and discusses what, why and if any follow up is needed. I can not recommend Hononegah Dental and the entire staff enough. If you are in need of dental work of any kind for any member of your family Hononegah Dental is the place to go.

Fantastic experience: This is the only place I've ever been to where I've felt that they actually care about my teeth. I had a persistent problem with a tooth (for 7 years) that was sensitive to both hot and cold and every other dental practice told me to just use sensodyne and wait. This place actually took the problem seriously and fixed it. I will happily drive an hour round trip to go here.

Fantastic experience: I've only been there twice. Once to get established and get a check up for the first time in 4 years. The other to get a cavity filled. All of the staff members there are very friendly and will answer any questions you have. The main doctor explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it before starting the work which I really appreciated. I had surgery a couple weeks ago and still have pain in my tailbone area but, the doctors worked with me to make sure I was as comfortable as possible and allowed me to reposition whenever I had to. Overall, I'm very happy with my decision to go to Hononegah Dental.

Negative experience: Insurance company paid, I have the EOB. Now a year later Hononegah Dental wants me to pay too. What kind of double dipping scam is this, they think they should be paid twice? And now they’re sending me to collections because I’m not going to pay them after my insurance company already paid them. Now I have to waste my time proving it has been paid. Wow! I had insurance and I can prove it. According to the statement you sent me, you owe me $31.
