Fantastic experience: From start to finish, everyone I interacted with at Vida Buda was exactly what I hoped for. Ruby helped calm my nerves and Dr. Patel never made me feel like just another patient. Everyone was attentive and patient. The front desk staff explained everything in detail and presented reasonable options for financing. I’ve been to 4 different dentists in the Kyle/Buda area and my experience at Vida Buda far surpasses any other.

They are very patient, understanding, and put your health first while trying their best to make sure you’re not breaking the bank. They also checked my insurance and approved it in less than an hour? Unheard of when it comes to dentist experiences, atleast for me. Highly recommend. Everyone is great and will call it my primary dentist moving forward. ☺️

Fantastic experience: I have a limited budget but the one thing I refuse to let fall to the wayside is dental health. Dental health is a super important aspect of overall health. Luckily the team over at Vida has plenty of payment options and understanding practitioners that help me develop a treatment plan that works with my budget. I neglected my oral health for a few years because of fear of cost and lack of health insurance but the team here has helped set me up with a beautiful and healthy smile. Thank you!

Negative experience: Waste of time. I’ve never been to a dentist where their main focus is selling services I never asked for nor imperative to my teeth health. I wanted a regular cleaning and they wasted an hour of my time explaining how to brush and floss. I’m someone who never misses a cleaning and has damn near perfect teeth. I don’t need a whole Ted talk, I need a cleaning. Would not recommend. Wish they actually cared about what a client needs/asked for instead of a quota needed to be reached. Will never return.

Negative experience: I recommend anyone coming to Vida Dental to get a second opinion before agreeing to any treatment. I was told I had five cavities that needed fillings, even though I had never previously been told I had any dental issues. I trusted Dr. Ryan because she is a dentist, but looking back, I strongly believe only one filling was truly necessary and the others could have been monitored and prevented from getting worse over time. As an adult, I know I could have declined treatment, but I didn’t know what questions to ask; I’m naive when it comes to dental care and especially insurance, so I relied on their guidance. I also felt pressured into additional procedures that I later learned were optional that are not covered by insurance; things like air abrasion, desensitization, and Isovac. None of this was verbally explained beforehand, and I was never given a clear choice to decline them. Especially with this happening near the end of the year, it felt less like they were focused on my care and more like they were trying to meet a quota or maximize charges before my benefits reset. That’s not how dental care should feel. The staff may be friendly, but patients deserve transparent pricing and honest communication about what is optional versus required. Please ask questions, ask for a complete verbal breakdown of costs (not just on a piece of paper), and don’t hesitate to get another opinion before moving forward.

Negative experience: They sent me a bill out of nowhere. I asked for a statement. So they sent me a statement not explaining why I owed them, but a statement saying I owed them 25 extra dollars for sending a statement. There’s more professional and tenured dentistry’s.

Fantastic experience: For one my favorite thing about this office is that you can text them. Love that feature! - I had a difficult tooth that needed a filling. It ended up needing an adjustment after. Dr Ryan was really nice about it and tried to fix me up. It was still bothering me two months later so I went in for another adjustment to see if there was anything they could do. She completely redid the filling for free and it came out perfectly. For the first time in over a year I don’t have pain on that side of my mouth.

Fantastic experience: Vida Dental in Buda is amazing! Dr.Ryan is extremely good at what she does. My wife and I have some pretty complicated dental issues and over the past year they have helped us a lot. Dr. Ryan has returned a call late on a Friday evening when I was panicking about a bleed. Another time I had a bone sliver stuck in my gums and was in a lot of pain, and they got me in same day! There are other stories I could tell but don’t want to write a book lol. Not only is Dr. Ryan great but the entire staff there are positive, caring, and friendly. I recommend everyone to go and check them out because a clean healthy mouth is important and a good honest dentist isn’t always easy to find.

Negative experience: The overall care is good, but we have routinely been over billed. They did not catch it any of the times- we have caught it multiple times. The first time was by over $1,000 and the office said I was wrong, the Dentist looked into it and saw I was correct and wrote a check to remedy the balance. Their billing is incredibly confusing and they do not have the right people to explain it- leading to these situations. The latest appointment was for over $400 and it was paid at the visit. Now there is a statement for another $400+ and “overdue” for the same appointment without any explanation. You call the billing and it instantly goes to leave a voicemail and they never call back- essentially forcing you to pay a bill with no reference or risk it going to collections. Care = 4 stars. Office Management = 0

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a positive experience every time I visit Vida Dental Buda. I see Dr. Ryan and I feel well taken care of by her and her staff. I don’t feel rushed and they always answer all my questions and thoroughly explain my treatment plan. Negative experience: I recently went to a new dentist because of a move. My new dentist found that three of the root canals done by Dr Ryan had roots that were not clean out. Two of them cause infection into my nasal cavity. I have to have retreatments on all three. When doing the first one, the specialist noticed that a post was put in incorrectly. The specialist took it out and retreated, now I need a new crown made for that tooth as it was not salvageable. Staff was polite however the work was done incorrectly and I would not have known if I hadn’t gone to a new dentist. I do not recommend going to this dentist.

Dr. Ryan was gentle, incredibly skilled, and so emotionally in tune with how I was feeling throughout the procedure. She watched my body language, checked in often, and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Her attention to detail, calm confidence, and genuine care made me feel safe in a dental chair for the first time in years. Her assistant, Mia, was also amazing — supportive, kind, and focused, working seamlessly alongside Dr. Ryan to make the entire process smooth and stress-free. Yacky and Elisabeth didn’t stop there — they called to check on me afterward and followed up whenever there were openings. Negative experience: My experience here with Dr.Ryan was horrible, Dr. Ryan had done a root canal the pain was excruciating went back complaining multiple times and was told it was the crown needed adjustment then they said was the tooth next to it, they charged me for those visits too. I had to go to another dentist where they did the cold sensitivity test and yes the tooth was definitely sensitive. Had a ct done and they missed a nerve and she had cracked the root when the root canal was done. So I now had the tooth pulled and now I need to get an implant. They offered a check for the pre payment of service and it bounced.. any lawyers out there want to take this on. Worse experience ever.

Negative experience: I had the worst dental experience at this office. I recently moved to the area and needed a new dentist, so I scheduled a cleaning and check-up. I normally go to the dentist every three months for a cleaning, and I’ve always been praised for my excellent oral hygiene. However, it had been six months since my last visit, so I asked if I could skip the X-rays since I had them just six months ago. Despite this, the dentist insisted on new X-rays, even after I explained the situation. I reluctantly agreed so I could get my cleaning done. Once the X-rays were taken and showed everything was fine (which was expected), the dentist proceeded to do a gum test, where my gums naturally bled after being poked. She then claimed I had gingivitis and told me I needed a “special cleaning” for over $400. I explained I just wanted the regular cleaning covered by insurance, but she refused, saying it would be “malpractice” to do a standard cleaning. Keep in mind, the treatment for gingivitis is essentially a cleaning! This place feels like a scam, and I’m beyond frustrated with how I was treated. I’ve never experienced anything like this before at a dentist, especially considering how well-maintained my teeth are. I would give zero stars if I could. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for dental care.

Fantastic experience: Perfect customer service. I went in as a new client, the booking of the appointment was easy. I received confirmation of my appointment immediately and a follow up call the day of the appointment. The office was clean. I received very detailed instructions on my dental plan. Additionally, they worked with me to get my remaining appointments in before the end of the calendar and the same for my daughter who also booked an appointment as a new client. Glad I made the switch to this location which is convenient from my home. Everyone was professional and knowledgeable, looking forward to finishing my dental plans with Dr. Ryan.

Negative experience: First I’d like to say I do not write reviews often but I’ve been contemplating since I started coming to Vida Dental Buda - for about a year and a half. Only reason I chose here is because I used to live close and my boyfriend goes. The first time I went was just a regular cleaning and I explained my previous bad experiences at the dentist. The young blonde dental hygienist assured me and has always been great. When I came back for my first filling it was more painful than most and I had to request more numbing. Once I left I figured out why - I had a huge blood blister probably from the device they use to make sure your tongue stays in place. I didn’t even want to use the device knowing my mouth is sensitive, but I figured if it helps them easily execute the procedure I’ll try it out so I signed an informed consent. I know the blood blisters can happen during procedures, so I didn’t call since it went away after a couple days but I thought they would pay more attention knowing that can happen. Since then my boyfriend and I both have ran into scheduling issues where the confirmation texts have incorrect dates for the upcoming appointment. The lady let him know he was going to be charged $50 to cancel an appointment he didn’t even make from either a receptionist or system error. He let them know he would not be returning if he was going to be charged for a human or system error - not his fault. They eventually waived it since they didn’t want to lose his business probably because he’s good business as an Invisalign user. Fast forward to the day before my appointment, they reached out to ask if I would be available a hour early to accommodate and I accepted. When I noticed I was running behind and in traffic, I let the receptionist know my eta and the reply was thank you for the update and I’ll see you soon. I then received a call where they informed me I’ll have to reschedule even though I was about to be there (which could have been communicated beforehand) I insisted to cancel since I will not be returning because I’ve already been through too many not so great experiences with them. Ridiculous I have to pay a $50 fee that costs well more than the actual teeth cleaning I did not receive. Coming from a returning customer that makes no sense considering they always want you to work around their schedule but can’t work around their customers. I would look around for other options before choosing them - while they weren’t the worst they are not the best and most certainly have room to improve.

Elizabeth took so much time helping me with my insurance and figuring that out. The dentist was amazing and gentle which is nice when going into a dental office. I will definitely recommend Vida to everyone in the future! I have found my new dental home!

Negative experience: I initially gave Vida Dental a 2-star review, but I'm changing it to 1 star. During my exam, I was told I had 5 cavities, needed a filling, and a deep clean. I'm 28 years old and haven't had a cavity since I was a child, so I found this odd but trusted the doctor's experience. Due to negative customer service per previous review, I sought treatment elsewhere. A month later, at a different dentist, I was told I had ZERO cavities and only needed a regular maintenance clean. The second dentist explained that staining in the grooves of teeth can sometimes be mistaken for cavities. Whether this was an honest mistake or an attempt to meet a quota, I'm glad I got a second opinion that saved me thousands of dollars. DO NOT TRUST VIDA DENTAL." doctor and assistant was excellent, but besides that, I had a horrible experience and will not be back. One of the staff members Jackie on two different occasions, did not do her due diligence in contacting my insurance. On the first occasion, Jackie called me prior to my daughter’s appointment to inform me that she was not showing as insured through their online portal. I asked if she could call the provider instead because I knew she was, in fact, insured. She told me she had already tried. When I insisted she try again, she said she didn’t have the time. So, I took matters into my own hands and called them again. This time, I had to three-way the conversation so my insurance could tell her she was, in fact, insured. Did she try or did she not? If she had called, she would have known the reason why the online portal wasn’t picking up my daughter. There was a miscommunication on their end about the last name on file. On the second occasion, after my examination, the same employee was going over my treatment plan and the payment options. I gave her my insurance member ID, and when she looked it up on her portal, it said inactive, even though I knew it was active. I called my insurance in front of her, and the insurance confirmed it was, in fact, current. My insurance said for the provider to call the number on the back of my insurance card. Jackie said it would take her an hour or two to give them a call and that she would email me on Monday after contacting them. Frustrated that she couldn’t help me right then, when she had no other patients in the waiting room, I still understood and thanked her. It wasn’t until after I got in the car and loaded my two babies that I realized she never got the number from me that she agreed she would call. She again was never going to call. Overall, while the doctor provided excellent care, the lack of proper communication and effort from Jackie significantly impacted my experience. I hope they address this employee for future patients.

They got us scheduled super fast, they continued to follow up & remind me of what was needed (I forgot and they kindly kept communicating with me). Everyone in the office was incredibly polite and overall just very caring! I had been at J&A before this and can confidently say that Vida is our new family dentist!

Well, I just might have found it this time I went for a general cleaning which was pleasant. I wish I would’ve collected everyone’s name that I communicated with, but Dr. Ryan was great especially when it came to knowing what I needed done. I have been going to this location for the past few years and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new dentist. After Covid I wanted a new Dentist because mine was always booked out for months. I visited vida and am glad that I made the switch. I'm honestly thankful my dentist was booked out because I wouldn't have found this place otherwise. The dentist is very knowledgeable and down to earth. The dental hygienists and the rest of the staff are awesome as well. I have nothing bad to say about this place from my experiences. Also just for reference so you can understand that I have visited numerous times. I have had numerous cleanings (roughly 3 a year), a filling, a root canal, and I had to get a crown for an old filling.

Negative experience: This was my first and last visit. I feel like they are just there to make money. I called to reschedule my appointment and because the appointment was that day they charged me $55 to reschedule. Who does that? It's unfortunate customer service. Also, when I got my teeth cleaned the visiting dentist was so rough with the oral examination part of the cleaning. She was stretching and pulling ay my lips in a very erratic way.

Fantastic experience: This is an excellent facility with professional service. The staff is great especially Mia. I would recommend this Dental Office over a that I’ve experienced within the big city.

Negative experience: I had a disappointing experience at Viva Dental in Buda, Texas. My appointment on 12/29 was delayed, the assistant seemed nervous, and the cleaning was rushed and incomplete by the doctor. The staff blamed a shortage and lacked transparency about the hygienist. The front desk was unprofessional, providing conflicting information and offering excuses. The environment felt chaotic, and the overall service was subpar. I wouldn't recommend this place due to the unprofessionalism, lack of transparency, and overall dissatisfaction with the service received.

Fantastic experience: Vida Dental has amazing services! I came in after not going to a dentist for many years needing a quick fix. They were able to schedule me for my emergency services the next day and refer me to others for my impacted wisdom teeth removal! Definitely the place to go

Negative experience: Got a quote for services and it seemed high. Contacted by dentist sister and she said it was double what she would charge in CA. In addition, she immediately noticed my insurance wouldn’t have paid for this until I had 6 more months on my plan. I would have been stuck with a huge bill I’d have to pay out-of-pocket.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to Austin and feel lucky to have found Dr. Ryan at Vida Dental in Buda. One of my teeth cracked unexpectedly and needed a crown. Everyone in the office was super helpful in the process of getting me in and Dr. Ryan’s precision work has me smiling again! Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: Dr Ryan was the sweetest dentist I’ve ever meet. I was so scared to get a deep cleaning on my teeth but if I would’ve known that I wasn’t going to feel anything I would’ve done it a long time ago! I highly recommend her! I will tell my family and friends to come see her!

Fantastic experience: The Vida Dental Buda team is awesome. I went in for an emergency same day appointment a few years ago and continued going ever since. Dr. Ryan made such an impression on me the first day I was seen, helping me fix my issue quickly. She gained my trust right away with her knowledge and care. She explained what she was doing and walked me through each process, being thorough to ensure I understood what my treatment plan an options were. The dental hygienist are always friendly and personable. Laura at the front desk is amazing. She works with you to get the proper care and ensures that you are provided the best financial options available. I always looked forward to my appointments because I knew they were going to take great care of me. I am moving soon and am sad I'll have to find another dentist. Vida Dental Buda has certainly set my standards high and I'll surely miss seeing this team. I cant say enough good things about them all.

Negative experience: Very disappointed in this office - I attended for a cleaning and to fill a cavity. They perform procedures without explaining the added costs or sharing that they won’t run the procedure(s) through insurance, even though I specifically asked if it would cost me more and specifically stating I only wanted a standard cleaning. They asked me to pay a $68 fee after my cleaning, and when I asked what the fee was, they said it was a co-pay. I hesitated at this as my insurance typically covers all costs. I later called my insurance to ask about this as I received a second and a third bill from the dentist after filling a cavity. My out of pocket should have only been $150 for the cavity, yet I received multiple bills of $68, $250, and then $60, and upon review, noticed that some of the items weren’t run through insurance. When I asked them to re-submit the items to insurance, they refused. Very unprofessional to take advantage of new clients and to not be transparent in your practices and what you are charging clients. Do not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Clean office with helpful staff that worked closely with her. Dr Ryan was thorough, personable, she explained what she was doing and why. Dr Ryan took time to listen to my concerns, answer questions and she wasn't in a rush. I felt comfortable & secure because she addressed what I felt was important. Dr Ryan even showed me using her dexterity and small dentist mirror tools which areas to keep in mind when flossing and brushing. Had a fantastic experience at Vida Dental Buda! The team there really knows how to make you feel welcome and comfortable during your visit. From the thorough teeth cleaning to the fluoride treatment, everything was top-notch. ✨ I appreciate their dedication to providing excellent dental care and their friendly approach.
