Negative experience: Ive gone to this dentist for a while, always had great experiences when I had treatment done. Today I called early in the day after trying to call in and text their line multiple times. I had one capable person help me on the phone with my insurance and I believe her name was Ashley. However the doctor here and the rest of the staff only care about money and over the past year this office has DRASTICALLY changed. As for today's visit. I had a filling fall out of one of my molars leaving a gaping hole and jagged edge to my tooth causing it to cut and scrap against my tongue anytime I talked or tried to eat causing significant pain for three days. When I called in I informed them that I needed to get out of pain and when I could I would come back to treat the tooth but I would need the jagged edge scraped down a bit to relieve the pain.. the doctor looked at my xrays and refused to touch the tooth until I agreed to get a root canal and if I didnt want the root canal there I could go somewhere else for the root canal and come back for the crown, but she adamantly refused to touch the tooth or relieve any of the jagged edge and relieve the pain. After asking numerous times for other options and to just help me by grinding the very small edge, but she continued to refuse saying that if I cleaned my teeth more regularly this wouldnt likely be a problem. I literally got up and walked out of the room towards the front, instead of her trying to help me or negotiate anything she just pointed me to the exit door. I then walked outside to the parking lot, drove 10min down the road to Pinetree Dental and they were able to grind it down for me and get me set up with a comprehensive exam and treatment plan. This office is a joke now. And I will not ever come back to this office again or recommend anyone to this office. And its a shame because I used to really like this dentist.

Everyone was so nice and they all explained everything so well, they are transparent and understanding about budgets. This was our first appointment at the dentistry and they jumped right into action on treatment and even stayed a little late to accomplish it. Considering our situation, She gave us the appointment in next 1 hour towards the end of the day, she stayed 30 minutes beyond her working schedule and took great care of my mom and sorted out the problem. Fantastic experience: We had to recently switch dentists when our old one didn’t accept our insurance any longer. Found this Dentist office and very happy we did. From the time we walked in, the front desk receptionist was very sweet and accommodating. Our hygienist, Marcie was very sweet and funny. My 10 year old had Autism and she was very patient with him even though he became fidgety and started really freaking out when she began the scraping lol. Marcie took care of both my kiddos yesterday and did a great job. Dr Mathew was very patient with them as well and very thorough. A long but altogether pleasant visit.

Negative experience: I have been coming here for years, and they gladly cleaned my teeth no problem. I tried to book again this week, and get a wonderful customer appreciation cancellation by Dr "Eat That Radiation" Mathew DDS, because I refused the the X-Rays. It. Is. Just. A. Teeth. Cleaning. It's not rocket science, and it's never been an issue before, until this "doctor". I even offered to take the X-Ray if Dr Eat That Radiation would come sit in the room and take the x ray too... but magically that was declined, because why would they want to increase THEIR exposure to radiation? I strongly recommend going to a different dentist, versus be forced into their ramdom new "policy" here. Just an awful experience. It's a teeth cleaning, save your "smart dentist" talk about policy. Everyone knows what your radiation and flouride cause now, game is up.

Negative experience: Wait was a little long. Appointment was 11am but I didn’t get called back until about 11:20am. Not sure if thorough sanitation took place due to rushing to get patients in and out. The doctor who started off cleaning my teeth was not gentle at all and the young lady he had take over for him because he had to go tend to another patient--she was ABSOLUTELY horrible! She was rushing to finish and did a sloppy job. She only flossed between a few teeth on one side and did not do the other side at all. She was in such a rush to get me out of the chair. I have been going to this dental office for over two years and never had a bad experience until now. I am now looking to go elsewhere for future dental service. Overall, I was not pleased with the service I received yesterday.

I just went and every one is new, even Rena is gone. What is up. The hygienist did a good job but was a bit lost finding things. I'll see how next time goes.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to 183 Family Dentistry for a few years now. During that time, I have had a bridge replaced, a new crown and partials done. I have been pleased with the results of the work done as well as the cost and how the options and procedures were explained prior to any work being done. But what I have always appreciated very much are the warm and pleasant greetings from the ladies at the front desk. During my last visit for a routine cleaning, Rena was so kind and cheerful, and the Dental Hygienist, Maggie, was pleasant, calming and very good at her job. I don't usually give reviews but felt the need to share this time. Thank you for your great customer service!

Fantastic experience: My front tooth crown came off just as I got to Leander, TX. I’m from California and my dental plan does not cover me here. When we called this office, they told us to come in and quoted us a very affordable price for the services. Other dental offices were not able to accommodate me right away and the prices quoted were much higher. As soon as we got there we were greeted and after we completed the paperwork, I was seen. The staff (receptionist, dental assistant, dentist and even staff that were not directly involved in my procedure) was very friendly. I felt very comfortable. They explained every action they were going to take. Because there were no other complications that prevented them from completing the procedure, I was back at my son’s home within an hour and there were no extra fees. My crown is back where it should be and looks great. I am very pleased with their service.
