Fantastic experience: We have been to so many different Dentist in the last year. I have to say that this was the most amazing visit. Not only were they professional, sweet, Family oriented. They made my four year-old that is terrified of the dentist comfortable. The hour drive is definitely worth it and I would recommend this dentist office to everyone! Fantastic experience: we just took our daughter here today. we let them know she has trauma from her doctors having a bad experience and they were sooo patient and calm with her. they sang to her and gave her a little rubber whale to take home. she cried only for a bit and was fine immediately after. highly recommend if your baby has trouble with doctors!

Fantastic experience: We live 45 minutes from this office but we followed Dr Heaton to Cedar Park! I have twin boys with autism and he developed a plan to get them comfortable with having dental work. He and this whole office staff has been such a blessing to our family!!! We would drive 2-3 hours to see him if we had to- thank you for having a heart and patience and love for special needs! We are forever grateful!!!

Fantastic experience: We are incredibly grateful for the care our son received at this pediatric dental office. When our 4-year-old needed an emergency extraction under general anesthesia, Southern Stars was able to fit us in on a short notice and we drove an hour from home to get there as soon as possible. Not only did they take care of the extraction, but they also worked with us tremendously to be able to complete all of the dental treatment our son needed in one visit. We were hesistant at first but we knew that all their recommendations were in the best interest of our son and that they genuinely cared about him and any future pain or anesthia they wanted to avoid for him. The entire staff here was kind, professional, prompt, exteremly informative, and incredibly patient in answering our many questions. Ms. Clarissa at the front and Dr. Heaton from their anesthesia team were so compassionate and reassuring to calm our nerves the about type of procedure, cost, and sedation needed. Dr. Wyatt exceeded our expectation in saving our son's teeth and recovery was quick! Everyone here ensured they cared for us until we walked out the door. The staff here are exceptional in their care and we're so grateful that we were led to your office. We plan to make the hour drive for all future routine appointments, I could not trust any other place more than this office with our children.

Positive experience: Staff and dentists are very nice. My grandson is autistic and they are very patient and caring with him. Office Is nice and clean. My only constructive criticism is the timeliness of service. We usually have to wait about 30 minutes which is hard with special-needs kids.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this place! I’ve been taking my son here for the past year and a half and they are just the best staff and dental professionals. They care about their patients and take every precaution necessary when it comes to my son, who has a congenital heart condition which makes dental procedures a little bit more complicated for him but they make sure we have everything we need before we start. This place is a go to for your kiddo! We love Southern Stars!

Negative experience: To whom ever answered the phone this morning I believe they woke up on the wrong side of the bed I called cause I’m completely new to the area and needed help scheduling my daughter in, mind you I booked an appointment online to try to make it easier but since I couldn’t add my daughter to the same appointment time as my son I had to call to just simply add her on there, she was very rude and seemed bothered she asked me a question about the insurance & I wasn’t to sure what she was asking me so I politely asked again to see what she needed and she firmly repeats herself instead of trying to help! She had a very rude tone in her Sadly I won’t be able to meet the dentist as to that’s why I was going cause of reviews saying how great they were, I will look else where were it ain’t a bother for someone to help me in a more professional way!

Fantastic experience: We love Southern Stars! Very friendly staff, so good with the littles, and just a clean and kind environment from the sweet lady at the front desk to the dental assistant to the dentist. We’ve been going since my kids were very little, and they love it. They start with a small room with just a lap tray to make it easier on the very little ones and upgrade your space as you grow. It’s perfect! We’ve sent lots of friends here.

Fantastic experience: Dr Wyatt did my daughter's dental work under anesthesia. He took time to ask her if she had any questions after answering mine. Reassured her she would be OK. And helped her feel more comfortable. Highly recommend. :)

Fantastic experience: My daughter's (2 & 5) love Dr. Wyatt and the staff. We had been to other practices in the past but nothing compares to Southern Stars. They're so gentle and sweet, they have a lovely space and excellent equipment. My girls were excited all week to go in for their appointments and are always looking forward to the next one. I only wish we'd found them sooner.

Fantastic experience: We went to their office for the first time and we loved it. We changed dentists because I felt like I was being pressured to do too many things I didn’t feel comfortable with. Like putting kids to sleep just for a few small cavities. The office is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is so helpful and kind. Dr. Wyatt made my daughter feel comfortable and safe with three stubborn baby teeth she needed removed. After the procedure she said, “that was it I’m done?!” Very happy and excited to go to their practice. It’s a longer drive for us but well worth it. Will recommend them to everyone! *Update- we’ve been going to them for a few years now and still having an amazing experience. Grateful that Dr. Wyatt listens to my concerns, and our needs. The staff are always so kind, fun, and make even my little 3 and 5 year olds feel comfortable and happy.

Positive experience: I have 4 kids under the age of 10 and the staff was great to fit in my 3older kids at the same time. They were also very patient with all the back and forth that was required to meet needs and keep up with my 2 yr old. They had books and hands on toys to entertain the kids while we waited. My oldest hates the dentist usually, but the hygienist was very good to work with him and make it fast while also respecting his preferences. The dentist is very kind and gentle. Love this place!

Fantastic experience: I have a kiddo who doesn’t like men and Dr. Wyatt won her over! We love Dr. Wyatt and when we were told he was coming to Southern Stars, we knew we were going to be following him! He is so patient and gentle with my girls. The office staff was absolutely amazing today! Most people get frustrated with my little one because she is hindecisive and has anxiety which comes out as fear, frustration, and anger. You ladies were phenomenal with her!! I didn’t even apologize today which is something I do a lot when it comes to her. The office was so inviting and calming, It was beautiful! Fantastic experience: My three year old son had a wonderful visit at this pediatric dental office today and I will highly recommend their facility. We found the facility online and they had excellent reviews and ratings. My son has recently experienced horrible dental visits previously at Lone star pediatric dental & braces (Killeen) and the All-Star children’s dentistry (harker heights). Based off the previous visits we chose for him to be seen outside of our immediate area due to poor quality services and poor dental care. We drove an hour away just to be seen there and it was worth the drive. From the receptionists, nurses and dentists, the entire staff gave exceptional care and attention to my son and his dental needs. My son had a dental emergency and they were quick to schedule and accommodate us considering how close to the holiday it is. We couldn’t have chosen a better place for my son to be seen! Fantastic experience: MY KIDS LOVE THIS DENTAL OFFICE. FOR THE FIRST TIME THEY ACTUALLY LOOK FORWARD TO GOING TO THE DENTIST. THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS VERY CLEAN AND THE STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY. Fantastic experience: My two girls came today for new patient exams. From the paperwork to the actual visit everything was very smooth and easy. The front desk was very nice and answered any questions I had as well as the back staff that were hands on with my girls. The assistant Ms. Shannon was so gentle with them and could tell my 9 yr old has quite the dental anxiety. Ms. Shannon kept her at ease and let her know she was doing a good job. My 2.5yr old loved every minute from the X-rays to the cleaning with the big girl brush and laying down in the big girl chair. Thank you everyone who saw my kids today Shannon, Stephanie the hygienist and of course Dr. Heaton. We are excited to see you all again at our six month cleaning.

Fantastic experience: Very professional, clean, and knowledgeable practice. After a negative experience at another dentist (trying to overcharge us and get unnecessary X-rays+ treatments) we were relieved to find a transparent and honest dentist to help our kiddo have healthy teeth!

Fantastic experience: Thankful that I found Southern Stars Pediatric Dentistry. I was so disappointed in a dentist my son saw several years ago that I hadn’t take him to see one in a long time. One day while I was scrolling through Facebook I saw a post about an amazing dentist in Cedar Park that’s great with special needs children. I took a huge leap of faith and I’m so glad I did. Dr Wyatt and his team are absolutely incredible!! A few people asked why can’t you find a dentist that’s local…My immediate thought was why would I do that? I found a dentist that is patient, provides great care, and speaks to Liam with a calming tone; yes, we drive an hour to get there but that’s a small price to pay for my son’s comfort.

Fantastic experience: I can’t boast enough about how incredible our visit was. My toddler had an accident Thursday evening that landed us in the ER. Being only 2, we didn’t have an established dentist. Friday morning I called to approx 10 dentist and they were either closed for the day or weren’t accepting anyone who wasn’t a patient. Unlike everyone else, Southern Stars were able to get me in a cancellation spot and we were seen an hour after I called. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were treated so professionally and given the best care. Follow up Thursday and we could not be more impressed. Highly recommend

The dental assistant an the dental hygienist were very friendly and communicated real well. Fantastic experience: I rate this dentist 5 stars!!! My son has Autism, Sensory integration processing disorder and hyper activity. The waiting area was calming and comfortable for my son’s sensory needs. Cowboy hats are hung on the wall which my son loved to look at and talk about while waiting since he loves western cowboys. The dentists were patient, caring, fun and understanding. I’ve never seen my son so comfortable and willing to let someone do his teeth like these dentists due to my son’s sensory issues with his teeth. He got a token to use in any of the prize coin pusher machines, three stickers, a blue ballon and a teeth goody bag. This is the best place to get your child’s teeth done especially if they have special needs! This will forever be his dentist!

Fantastic experience: We just got a second opinion for dental work for my daughter and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service and care I received here. We are former patients of Dr Heaton and Dr Wyatt, and I’m glad I found them! If you are looking for understanding and caring dentist for your children these guys are THE BEST! I have three autistic children and they have been amazing with them from the start!

Fantastic experience: Our first visit went great, everyone was very welcoming, it made my daughter feel very comfortable and that’s not usually the case for her at any dentist office, except this one! On top of that, the doctor explained everything that was going on very well and answered any and all questions I had. I’m so happy we found this office and their top notch staff!

Fantastic experience: My five year old LOVES her experience so much here she cries the day before her appointment bc she wants it to be NOW and not tomorrow. Love the staff, the environment, and the dentist. As a mom I feel like we receive high quality care in an upscale environment. 10/10!!

Positive experience: Would have given this place a 5-Star rating had it not been for the asian receptionist. She sat in the back chair of the front desk area and the way she spoke to my 7-year old daughter was very condescending. If I knew her name I would type it in this review. The Hispanic receptionist was very kind, as well as all the other workers in the office. If she's not immune to working around children maybe she should seek another profession!

Fantastic experience: We found Southen Star when my son was a little over 2, we are in year 3 with them. Both Dr’s have been incredibly amazing with my child’s care. They have been patient and understanding with all my nervousness and my kid’s anxiety. Any major work or dental concerns have been thoroughly explained and pricing very transparent, contacting the office is simple and booking appointments has also always been easy.

They knew my son’s needs and reassured me that it was okay if he needed a little extra time and patience! We had a bad experience at a pediatric dental office two days prior and I wanted to make sure my son was properly seen and man…. Did they go above and beyond! As a mom of an autistic child you are already on edge and worried how they will react… so to find a place that even had soundproofed rooms? I mean come on…. You can’t get any better than that! If you have a child who has special needs this is the place to go!!

Fantastic experience: If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! We have seen Dr.Heaton for 10+ years and Dr.Wyatt just a little under that. When they moved to Cedar Park we decided to drive over an hour to see them after trying multiple other local children’s dentists that insisted on putting my 7 year old to sleep to do her dental work. Southern stars did it quick and easy with her awake and even followed up with a popsicle after! Both doctors are hands down the most caring, kind hearted, gentle and overall just wonderful people with my children! The whole staff is top notch and friendly and the place is clean and cute, I am so glad I decided to make the drive to follow them! I will never take my children anywhere else! They have set the bar really high! You will be pleased with every aspect of this establishment! <3

Fantastic experience: Adding to my post below from earlier this year with my son. Today was my baby girl’s first dentist visit and it was top notch . Yes, she cried as toddlers do (stranger danger), but Dr. Wyatt and staff were lovely and took great care of us. Highly recommend Southern Stars We had our first experience here today and it was absolutely delightful. For starters, I messed up the date of the appointment and they still accommodated us. Our son is 4 and has ASD so finding a Dentist that has experience in working with kids on the spectrum is really special. Every staff member was wonderful and made us feel comfortable and welcome. Dr. Wyatt clearly has a gift for this. He was extremely patient, present, and thorough. We're so grateful to have found Southern Stars and look forward to a long relationship with them helping our littles to keep their teeth healthy.

I’m beyond thankful for how they cared for my daughter, who has special needs and is on the autism spectrum. The dental assistant was especially patient. The office was clean, quiet, and calming perfect for children, especially those who may be more sensitive to their surroundings. I left feeling informed and confident about my daughter’s dental care plan. I highly recommend Southern Stars Pediatric Dentistry to any parent looking for compassionate, knowledgeable care for their children!

Fantastic experience: This facility is THE BEST. My son is treated with so much kindness and respect. They dont rush him at all. The dentist was so gentle and thorough. My son's teeth looked amazing and my son couldn't stop smiling and showing everyone. (And he got a goodie bag and a balloon so that was a bonus) Soy grateful we found this wonderful establishment!

Fantastic experience: I really love this place :) my first children had the worst fear about going to see a dentist. But they had a really great experience here, they don’t get scared of going to see a dentist anymore! All the staffs are super nice and very patient. And my kids love the balloons and the tokens to do capsule toy vending machine at the end

They took the time to listen to all of my concerns regarding my children, which I truly appreciated. It was a great experience overall, and we’re genuinely looking forward to being patients here.

My daughter had a pretty bad experience at her previous dentist, and has been very anxious about dental appointments ever since. Everyone at Southern Stars was very understanding, made my daughter feel welcome and took her worries away. Now she is exited to go back and get her teeth cleaned.

Fantastic experience: Beyond THANKFUL for Southern Stars Dentistry!! My 5yo daughter had severe dental anxiety from a bad experience at a previous dentist, and also struggled with other sensitivities in general - so we were desperate to find a new dentist that could cater to her unique needs. At her first cleaning, the team was so accommodating, reassuring, and gentle with her. She ended up needing to have some work done, and we were clearly presented with all of our options. They also offer sedation as on option if needed, which we ended up choosing. We were very relieved to have that option, and very happy with the overall experience. We've been back a few times for my older son's cleaning and some work he needed to have done too (but with laughing gas instead of sedation) and every time we've been so pleased with how kind, gentle, and informative the staff is. Again, we are SO grateful and relieved to have found such a fantastic dentist for our kiddos!
