Fantastic experience: As a patient that almost always gets panic attacks when getting dental work done, I cannot express how thankful I am for Dr. Cassella and the entire team at Harbor City Dental. Every single staff member is so helpful and kind, and I am so thankful I discovered this practice. The patience of the hygienist, assistant, front desk, and especially Dr. Cassella herself really, really calmed my nerves. I wish I could name the hygienist and the man who assisted Dr. Cassella today by name as they were both PHENOMENAL and deserve the praise, but unfortunately, my brain was not working while I was there to remember . The filling I got was probably the easiest one I’ve had since I was a kid, and I am so thankful! If you have severe dental anxiety like I do, be assured this team is the best!! They’re so supportive of your needs and have a variety of different options to help deal with the anxiety—and even just talking to the doctors and discussing the anxiety will put your mind at ease. Definitely happy with this practice and cannot recommend it enough.

Fantastic experience: I had been one of those persons who avoided going to the dentist for years due to early childhood traumatic treatments. I’m sure I’m not alone, however Dr. Burns Was recommended to me through a coworker at work, where I was a preschool teacher for his children, and I met him and instantly felt so put at ease, and my fear seemed to disappear, so I made an appointment l. Every one of his staff has been so respectful and gentle and knowledgeable of what they do, and Dr. Burns did extensive work on my teeth, and I had little to no pain, excellent recuperation care, follow up care, and I actually look forward to going to my appointments again. I would highly highly recommend them for any of you out there who have any hesitation about going to the dentist again.

Fantastic experience: Love. Love. Love Harbor City Dental! Both doctors are amazing. The hygienists are amazing. And front staff is amazing. Everyone is AMAZING! =) Friendly and efficient. I'm not a nervous type patient but they make everyone feel at ease with their kind demeanor. Dr. Casella routinely wiggles your tissue as she's injecting anesthesia which has been proven to reduce any injection pain. It works! They have the latest technologies in house. I moved from Miami 5 years ago and was surprised at the things they routinely use which my Miami dentist did not. The office itself is modern and new without looking sterile. I am so happy to have found them. After 5 years with them I am saddened that they will no longer be accepting my dental plan in 2026. But they're SO good that I am switching to their own dental savings plan so I don't have to switch dentists. <3

Fantastic experience: I have dreaded getting 2 amalgam fillings replaced and now I’m kicking myself for waiting so long! Dr. Burnes was perfectly wonderful! The numbing (worst part) was seamless and pretty much painless too! And I had no pain at the injection site after the Novocain wore off! My bite feels perfect and I’m so glad to be rid of those nasty metal fillings! Love the entire staff at Harbor City and highly highly recommend this practice. The office building from the outside was cheerful as well as the lobby was spacious, clean, decorated nicely.. The layout is open air divided by a wall. In my lifetime I’ve been to many dentists all good but something was different with Dr. Burnes’s, he was amazing! He “listened “ , understood what I was saying, and took his time explaining what needed to be done without me feeling rushed.. Along with his staff, they were cheerful, kind and pleasant . I was very grateful they were able to fit me in . My drive of 1 1/2 hrs. one way was very well worth it. CM

Negative experience: I do not recommend getting work done in this office, specifically if you are working with Dr. Charles Burnes. He lacks ethics, professionalism, and cares more about his money rather than ensuring he is putting forth the best work for his patients. This doctor does not listen to the patient, ignores grievances, and then becomes angry and hostile if you push back when the grievances are ignored. If you decide to go to him, be prepared for workarounds rather than a job well done from the very start. The office states that they will ensure the patient is satisfied with their work, but this is not the case. If you are not satisfied, you will pay….literally. My family member went to Dr. Burnes for dental work which went on for more than a year and a half. The work was never completed. The overall experience was so stressful, and the job was so dissatisfactory, my family member decided to forego the work without being completed and never return to the office. For the first round of work, when a permanent denture was installed, multiple gaps were spotted which were noted to the doctor. Rather than correcting the issues, the Doctor decided to proceed with the permanent denture. After multiple complaints due to discomfort and dissatisfaction, the doctor decided to simply add compound into the gaps to save himself some money. My family member obviously had to return to the office since this work around did not function properly. The office tried to have my family member pay for a new permanent denture to be created! After repeatedly pushing back on this, the office finally agreed to handle the costs. For the second round of work, a temporary denture were installed, it was clear that this was also not properly executed. The temporary dentures fell off a few days after being installed. Second and third opinions confirmed that there was no way these dentures would provide enough stability for a long period of time based on the size of the teeth the doctor created to hold the denture in place. We sent a letter to request reimbursement from the Doctor but also offering to come to an agreement since we assumed he would refuse . A letter was sent back (with no official letterhead or formality to address the patient). Reimbursement was denied and the doctor stated that he felt he provided “quality dental care”. If this is the “quality” you expect, this is the office for you.

This is a privately owned practice and it is quite evident that their main mission is quality work and excellent customer service! I dread going to a dentist and usually put it off for as long as I can! Each and every person in this practice is awesome! They treat everyone in such a kind way! Dr. Camille is extraordinary, absolutely love her! Christina, the Office Manager, went over and above to get my appts fit in before the end of the year with my dental coverage! Kendall is a wonderful hygienist and every other staff member show they really care and the service is stellar! Love them and feel extremely grateful I found them!

They have been nothing but patient and kind with me this past yeat, even when I came in with my teeth in a horrible state. No shaming, just gentle honesty. They told me what we needed to do to get me on track to a healthy oral hygiene and did it in a way that made it feel like we were on this journey together. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Harbor City Dental for at least a decade. Dr Burnes is great as well as is all of the office staff and assistance. You know they're good if I drive from Beachside to get my dental care. You know us weird beach people don't like to drive over the bridge. lol I am out of network with my insurance and they do courtesy billing for me, which I greatly appreciate. That can be a pretty big risk for a doctor or dentist's office, as my insurance sent me the check that they should have sent to the dentist's office and I'm sure some people keep those checks. My dentist anxiety is off the charts and they are very accommodating and sweet. Dr Burnes is efficient, kind, patient, and tells you everything he's doing so there's no surprises. He kept checking in with me to make sure I was not having any type of sensitivity. would highly recommend!

Got in to get it repaired partially until the crown would be put on. I was highly impressed on the intensity and precision it takes to repair one tooth . Considering that, I had a pretty big aversion to dentists and I went many years without seeing one. This obviously led to problems later on. Several years ago, I was referred to Harbor City Dental because I had a tooth that had to be removed. I was completely embarassed and nervous expecting someone to make me feel bad about my teeth. Not once did they make me feel like that! Dr. Burnes and Dr. Cassella are so great. They are laid back and talk to you like a person not just another patient. The hygienists and the rest of the staff genuinely care about you and also seem to love their work environment! I absolutely recommend Harbor City Dental to all my friends and family.
