Fantastic experience: I am extremely happy with my new smile and pleasantly surprised by how effective Invisalign has been. Dr. Black and Kelly were fantastic to work with throughout the entire process. They are incredibly knowledgeable about Invisalign and always took the time to explain my options, answer questions, and help me make informed decisions that would lead to the best possible outcome. For years, I was told that the only way to correct my lower teeth was through a much more invasive procedure involving breaking and realigning my jaw. When I first learned about Invisalign, I was referred to an orthodontist and became excited about the possibility of finally fixing my smile. However, after seeing the cost and length of treatment, my enthusiasm quickly faded. Then I happened to see an advertisement for Invisalign Day at Red Lion Dental. I decided to schedule a consultation, and the rest is history. Today, I have a smile that I'm proud of—something I haven't been able to say for 36 years. As an added bonus, Red Lion Dental was able to achieve the same corrections that were proposed by the orthodontist in approximately one year less time and at roughly half the cost. I couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend Dr. Black, Kelly, and the entire team at Red Lion Dental.
Fantastic experience: Like many others I get super anxious going to the dentist but everyone there is so helpful, professional and kind and put me at ease. I highly recommend Red Lion Dental! 2-28-22 Appointment today for a crown prep. Everything was explained and they made sure I was comfortable and ready for the work to be done. Very pleased with my experience here. If you are seeking a new dental practice, I would encourage you to give them a call! 7-25-25 Currently using Invisalign to straighten my teeth. I wore braces many years ago as a teenager and that experience was painful. Invisalign is so much better with little discomfort and I do recommend this as a much less invasive process to straighten your teeth. The staff is so incredible and Dr. Black is the best dentist I have ever had!

Fantastic experience: Just left here after a filling for what was a massive hole in my front tooth. Was sharp, looked horrible and hurt like crazy under certain conditions. Dr. Black is a magician. I couldn't believe how easy some of the the steps I feared the most went by without so much as some pressure. Any discomfort was immediately addressed and I can believe how good my tooth looks. It's like it never happened. I've been running my tongue over it constantly since I left because it still can't Believe it. I haven't been to the dentist in over a decade and this was better than any experience I had when I was young. I don't care who is or isn't in my network. This is who I trust with my teeth.

Fantastic experience: Both the staff and Dr Black are very pleasant, answer all questions, genuinely kind, and I feel Dr Black is "up" on what is going on in debtal care. The only problem I had is that under his leadership the practice is really growing which can mean a longer wait than you'd like (had cleaning/checkup in Sept but had to schedule repair in May) Really like him and Kim (hygienist) and definitely plan to continue with them.

Fantastic experience: I am very thankful for Red Lion Dental. As someone who suffers a lot with a fear of the Dentist, I couldn't ask for a more empathic and kind staff who handle every small concern and have answers for my pressing questions. They never make me feel foolish for asking something about my own health or teeth, and it offers me a lot of reassurance. They go to lengths to help accommodate me and the result is that I have been back to the dentist consistently for the first time since I was a young man. Not only is the staff kind and knowledgeable, I have had good success with every operation/procedure I have had done with Dr. Black including fillings and a replacement tooth. Fantastic experience: I have been going to this dental practice for over 25 years and I wouldn't leave Red Lion Dental for any reason. The facilities are clean and modern. The staff members are friendly yet professional--everyone from office staff to hygienists to the dentists. I find them considerate in responding to questions and they carefully explain the procedures, never hurrying to move on to the next patient. The dentistry is state of the art and continually evolving, driven by new training, techniques and equipment. Do I love going to the dentist??? Absolutely, as long as it's Red Lion Dental!

If you scare of dentist this is the place you don't even notice and they told you we are finished. Is amazing all new technology is using for the procedures. Fantastic experience: The staff are absolutely incredible. From reception to the dentist everyone takes their time to listen and answer any questions. I have a severe anxiety to dentist and they are always quick to offer me a weighted blanket to help calm my nerves. They also ask multiple times during my appointment if I need anything or a break. I highly recommend Red Lion Dental!

Fantastic experience: I have visited Red Lion Dental a few times since Dr. Shalkey retired and have had great experiences so far (exam/cleaning and redo of a cracked filling). I would highly recommend this practice.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly, Knowledgeable and detailed staff. When I first went to Red Lion Dental my teeth had moved so severely I was unable to chew food properly or close my bite. Invisalign was recommended and after almost a year working with Kelly and wearing the trays my teeth are straight, back in align, my bite closes and I'm able to chew food. Very happy with the results. I highly recommend Red Lion Dental.

I grew up with Dr. Shalkey who always made me feel comfortable in the chair, and now Dr. Black has filled his shoes as my primary dentist impeccably. Each procedure is quick and painless and he is always willing to discuss any issues or any inquiries I may have. The hygienists and staff are always friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend Mount Rose Dental enough!

Negative experience: The way they bill puts all the risk on the customer. They charge you up front for THEIR cost but not what the insurance will pay for the service or your copay. You are left hoping that the insurance will reimburse you the full amount (which they didn't in our case). We changed to another practice down the road. They bill insurance normally and we just have to worry about co-payment. Otherwise the staff were great. No other complaints but this one is a particularly huge one.

Fantastic experience: This is my first dental implant and this was the first step-putting in the anchor ( not sure if that's the right word). I was pretty nervous, but Dr Black and his staff were very patient explaining everything as we went along. I was surprised how painless it was and I couldn't be happier.

Fantastic experience: Even though we all hate dental work…even a routine cleaning…I am always at ease going to see Dr. Black and his hygienists…and would be remiss not to mention the awesome front desk staff who always manage to get the insurance claims submitted and schedules juggled. They show compassion to their patients and know what’s going on in their lives. They listen long enough to find out….when most never do. And Doc always makes sure to numb you up enough so that you’re not in any pain. Two …will keep coming here even though they moved and are Out-of-Network because they’re just that good.
