Fantastic experience: They go above and beyond here. The entire staff is amazing. My children feel comfortable and they know they are cared for by their Dr's, and Nurses. I really love how well they work with children.

Negative experience: I called today to make an appt as a new customer and the lady who answered the phone sounded very annoyed as if she didn’t want to set the appointment up for me. The line mysteriously disconnected, this time when I called back I was told no new appts until October. First impression is everything for me thanks but no thanks

Fantastic experience: My 3 children had their first visit at the office last week and we actually had a wonderful experience. The checkin process was easy, they called us back right away. Taylor, Jazmin, and Kaylee were the hygienist that worked with my children and they were amazing! We were done in 30 minutes and everything was thoroughly done and explained to me. I have no complaints about our first visit. My children even said they were happy and can't wait to go back which shocked me lol

Fantastic experience: Love this office. The staff is super great. Always greeted with a smile. My son had to have treatment done and the girls up front were so great at explaining everything to me. I’ve switch insurance and I call to give them my new info and they are quick to check and make sure it’s in network, which not a lot of offices do now a day. I highly recommend this office!

Positive experience: Overall, so far, my experience with the staff has been good. Other than the front staff. They are always rude and act like you checking in or out is inconveniencing them. Today I called to fix an issue before my sons visit this morning. I was placed "on a brief hold" at 15 minutes I hung up and called again. Call was answered in 2 rings. Even then, she had an attitude helping resolve the issue. When I let her know they need to be more mindful if calls waiting her response was "you shouldn't have waited so long before hanging up. That isn't my fault"

Negative experience: I've tried to collect my thoughts all week to write this. I'm finally able to put my anger into words. We will NEVER come back to this practice again. This was our 3rd time going and specifically to Dr. Davis. The first time we weren't thrilled with how they operated nor did we get warm fuzzy feelings from the staff but against my better judgment we went back mostly for convenience. Never again. Our daughter is 3. She was telling us she didn't want them to do things to her because she was scared. The hygienist was sweet with her. She had to get her first x-rays this time. She let them take 2 x-rays and then nicely asked to stop. They offered to give her 2 tokens to get toys from their reward machine if she let them get more but she just wasn't comfortable. By the time Dr. Davis came we had been there a while and she wanted to leave. She was crying & fussy which I'm sure they have seen hundreds of times before. This is where things went so wrong. Dr. Davis came in with an obvious attitude, barely acknowledged my husband or me, and I'm not sure he even said anything to our daughter. He crossed his arms and legs and stared at us while he waited for her to calm down. He did NOTHING to try to make her feel comfortable with him. He didn't try to talk to her or explain what he was going to do. After a few minutes he looked at her and said, "Just lay your head down!" She was trying to climb off the table and he just stared at us with this irritated look on his face, as if we weren't stressed enough. He got tired of waiting and had his hygienist and us hold her down. I didn't want to do that but she's our first child and all of this is new to us. In asking around nobody I've spoken to has EVER had to have their child restrained like that at a dentist. She was terrified. She kept asking him to stop, but finally she gave in and let him look in her mouth. After she asked, "Do I get my tokens now?" He said, "You're not getting any tokens today. Today you'll get a sticker, and maybe next time if you're brave you can get a token." I'm appalled. He punished our child for being afraid and speaking up for herself. What does this teach her? Just a reminder that even a 3 year old has the right to feel safe and understand what is being done to her body and why. I was so shocked that I didn't know what to say. I'm not saying she was a perfect patient--she wasn't! She was definitely difficult and not in the mood but she's only 3! In her mind she had been promised 2 tokens and got none for doing what she thought was her best. Then he didn't even tell my husband and I anything about her teeth until I asked him. He said, "I have no concerns at this time, " No pleasantries, barely any information and a very traumatized child. All of this is why people don’t like the dentist. He just sat there with this smirk on his face like he was so inconvenienced. If you work with kids you should expect that some kids are going to give pushback. I guarantee she is not the worst-behaved child they have ever seen. It broke my heart the way she was treated that way. One of the first things she said to me the next morning was, "Mommy, are you going to find me a nice dentist to go to next time?" Parents be aware. If your child isn't completely quiet and still you will get serious attitude and punishment from this dentist. This has started what could be a lifelong fear and hatred of the dentist. No child should ever be treated this way and punished for being scared and sharing their feelings. I will be taking her to another practice soon with much higher ratings to hopefully undo the damage that was done by Dr. Davis last week. I hope this practice reevaluates how they do things and makes it more child friendly. More connecting with the child, more explanations of what's going to be done and less holding them down and torturing them. I don't expect that anyone at the practice will care but it doesn't matter. I have already shared my experiences on social media and will continue to warn my friends and anyone I know to avoid this practice at all costs.

Negative experience: Treatment plan was changed for my child after I left and doubled on what needed to be done. Didn't know it changed until I called the office to schedule the treatment and was told the dentist added after I left the facility. Tried to talk to the dentist herself and was unable to. I got a second opinion and was nowhere close to what was recommended here. Hopefully others have a better experience but I switched and will not come back.

Negative experience: Really didn't like the customer service. Rude and assuming. They act like everyone should already know their process. The dentist was super rude. Do not recommend. It's an amazing facility the assistance are great. The office and Dr Davis make it a bad experience.

Fantastic experience: The bathroom is huge! Everyone was polite. It was not overcrowded. My 8yo asked if he could go back tomorrow . He really liked the dental technician that cleaned his teeth. Also, just about everyone speaks Spanish here too if that's something you're looking for. Wonderful place. Wonder people.

Fantastic experience: Very nice people and great with kids.

Negative experience: Dr Bono masked cavities w/ a dark colored substance which hid decay. She lied said she was retiring yet opened or switched practice. At a subsequent visit ( new dentist) the attendant kept turning up the anesthesia while the dr popped in turning it back. At the end of treatment this attendant insisted on more anesthesia. The anesthesia took an unusually long time to wear off and my child had a headache well into the following days.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved the care and attention shown to my 3 year old son after an accident which required extraction of a tooth. Dr. Davis and his assistant were excellent!

Fantastic experience: I’ve taken my 5yo son with autism her for a couple years now and they do really well with him! Of course he doesn’t like the dentist, but the staff are always patient with him and make him as comfortable as possible. I just took my 21mo here for her first appointment and again they were great!

Negative experience: If you are referred here for sedation and your child is over 10 years old and has severe dental anxiety, be mindful that it may be in your best interest to go elsewhere. They will not listen to the parent’s concern because of the medical treatment plan they feel is “best” and will refer you elsewhere.

Negative experience: Came in today feb 20 for an appt at 8 am. I check in and they never placed the appt! I scheduled in person in January for the February appt for restorative treatment for my daughter and they even wrote it down on her tx plan. They said they were booked and nothing they could do. Didn't offer a new appt at this location or try another location. Staff did not care at the front desk. I took off work and not sure when I could come in again.

Positive experience: I normally had a really good experience here and all dentists that have worked on my son have been great for the most part. I believe Dr. Harman is new but I didn’t appreciate her adding dental procedures to my sons file without my knowledge. He had 3 cavities and the plan was to have them filled. For a month I prepared him because he hates the dentist, and he was ready to go. When I got there I was informed that they would be extracting two front baby teeth(which I didn’t prepare him for) and of course I told him and after that it was downhil. She made it seem like my son just wasn’t ready and he was too scared but in reality he was fully ready but she ruined it by adding the extractions to the plan. She said that even after they told him they wouldn’t do the extractions that he was still really scared. Which is true, but it’s because the damage had already been done and he was already shaken up. I’m not sure if pediatric dentistry is for her. The assistants were so much better with him than she was.

Fantastic experience: My little man is autistic and sometimes going to the dentist can be a massive fear and trigger for him. He was having a meltdown in the car and I called to let the office know and asked if I should reschedule. The staff are beyond nice and caring. They asked if I would like an open or private room then got him quickly in. They were so patient and explained everything to my son as well as asked his permission. I was beyond grateful and impressed with how much everyone cared.

Negative experience: *** First let me say Dr. Flowers is awesome so this is absolutely no reflection on him. My kids have been going to this practice for several years, first Midlothian then Chester. I have been sick as well, my son, who had an appointment at 8:30 Monday morning. Being that we both had been in bed for days, it completely slipped my mind to cancel. I called at 9:00 and during my call was told I was at my limit, and would be dismissed without proof of a positive COVID test. There were missed appointments in 2017…we are in 2022, and I was reminded that the practice has a two missed appointments policy within a 2 yr period. Which makes no sense as we are in 2022. There was no care for the fact that my son and I are both sick, or expression of empathy, but instead I was greeted with produce the test or basically you are at a limit. The practice paperwork that is signed DOES NOT tell you you need to produce a positive test in the event you have to cancel an appointment and otherwise would go against the practice limit. I also did not keep my at home test. I encourage you to ask for office policies so you do experience what I did. It’s quite unfortunate because Dr. Flowers is great.

Fantastic experience: The assistant Brandi who saw us was very nice. Very patient and did a great job with my 2 year old. He was calm through out the process and she put him at ease.

Fantastic experience: I love this place from the moment you step in to the moment you leave out you get nothing but smiles and sweetness . From the front desk staff, to the staff in the back and doctors they’re so sweet and patient with the kids. It’s so clean , vibrant and super kid friendly. They have movies playing in the waiting area while you wait which is great!! They let them pick out what type of flavor of toothpaste they would like their teeth cleaned with and when their done they let them take a prize of choice from the machine. Just a all around good place ☺️.

Negative experience: My son had never been to the dentist and had to go to two different offices in one day, so he was having a lot of anxiety. After getting our initial information, in front of him the dental assistant said to me “oh, he’s your only child, huh?” I’m not sure how that’s relevant other than seemingly blaming his behavior on being an only child?? Then, they were sent X-rays from another dentist and despite saying the X-rays were not good they gave me an almost $3800 (no insurance) dental plan. I will be looking for a place that can help an anxious kid who needs people with a little more patience.

Fantastic experience: Our first experience did not start off too well because they could not find my daughter's appointment. However, it was quickly remedied and we were able to make an on the spot appointment. Everyone went above and beyond. The facility was very clean with safety precautions in place. The staff was very friendly and informative. So glad we chose this dentist for our daughter. Our previous dentist pales in comparison. I will definitely recommend this dentistry. On our second visit everything went amazing! We even got many notifications before her visit to remind us of her appointment. The dental assistant Taylor was amazing as was the dentist! Highly recommended!

Positive experience: The office was clean and the staff was friendly. I’m not sure if I’m going to actually return for my children’s next appointment. I think I’d like a more personable dentist experience. I like for medical professionals to take their time, provide knowledge and explain what maybe wrong or right and what areas may need improvement. I think this office was nice but it reminds me of a fast food experience: get in, and get out. I decided to go here because it close to my home and I didn’t want to travel to the midlothian location since I hadn’t been there since before COVID. The experience was definitely different because previous experiences at the Midlothian location were intimate and the dentist would sit down and go over my children’s X-rays with me even if nothing is necessarily wrong; Showing me how the teeth shapes and growth were and possible future effects. It could also be because this location was super busy at the time and maybe were trying to get every patient done to avoid a long wait. I’m not sure but if you just need your child’s teeth cleaned and that’s it, then I’d recommend.

Fantastic experience: We love this dental practice. Jordan has been going here since he was 4 for all his dental needs. Dr. Flowers is the best, he is the only doctor in this practice that my son has seen. Although when we had an emergency a few years ago, I called an on call dentist and they were prompt to respond, very helpful, and friendly. All staff in the office is friendly and gentle. My son was scared of the xray but with much understanding and patience the staff helped him overcome the fear. My son said to me yesterday "I love the dentist more than the eye doctor." Never a bad experience. Keep of the great work CDofVa!!!!

Fantastic experience: From start to finish my experience was great. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Both Dr. Harman and her assistant were not only friendly but extremely informative. The previous pediatric dentist I visited explained absolutely nothing to me during or after the appointment. I was clueless about what was going on with my daughters teeth and what procedure was needed. I left Dr. Harman feeling completely comfortable and competent in how to move forward with resolving my daughters dental issues.

Positive experience: Our family dentist recommended this office due the dental issues my 4 year old is having. The front office person is fantastic, very nice and tried hard to get an earlier appointment if possible. The dental assistant was also great. Very kind with my son, got him to take x-rays, etc and he was totally excited when he got a coin for the prize machine. Where my lower rating comes in is with the dentist and the person who checked us out at the end. We are in the process of getting a second opinion but I am concerned that one tooth the dentist wants to leave alone and it has carries on three surfaces per my dentist. Two other teeth that had no indication of carries, now are considered moderate cavities. There was a minor comment about his two top front teeth (E & F) that had plaque. I hadn't noticed before but when I look at them, it isn't plaque but there's a small whole created between the two teeth. And lastly, with 6 cavities (potentially 10 with the "new" ones and the two being left alone), it was offered to do two appointments with nitrous versus in office anesthesia and do it all at once. Yes, it can be expensive but why not have the child have no memory at all versus go two or three times where there's a chance he will remember all that work. The person who checked me out at the end when I questioned the cost as it was as much as my crown and root canal as an adult, just said "yes" to every question I asked. It would have been better to explain the charges, or explain that pediatric dentistry is a specialty and they charge more, etc, something more than just "yes." I really hope the second opinion mirrors what the dentist here said. I received so many good reviews and I trust my dentist and he referred me to this office. Otherwise it will end up being a bit disappointing.

They bring us all back together, and we’re in and out in less than 30 minutes every time. They are friendly, helpful, and so gentle. The dentist is knowledgeable and we truly trust every dentist there. So thankful to have found a wonderful Dentist that my kids actually enjoy visiting.

Fantastic experience: Took my 11 month old daughter here and had an AMAZING experience!! It was my daughters first dentist appointment so she got a little scared but as soon as she started crying the dentist and the tech started singing the ABCs to her and she instantly calmed down!!! They even gave her a little goodie bag with a tooth brush, floss and toothpaste AND they gave her a certificate!!! ( how freaking cute is that) :) DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! The whole staff is super sweet.
