Positive experience: It was fine, overall. Only reason, and this isn't the first time it has happened to me, is that I get a different hygienist and dentist when I go for a checkup. I want consistency due to my dental anxiety (well documented in my chart). I found a right fit last time with a hygeniest, and that helped immensely. This one was fine. A little bit difficult to understand due to a slight accent. But she was kind and thoughtful. But I really hate not knowing who I am going to get for every appointment.

Fantastic experience: I have gone to Shapiro since I was 16 and I am 43. Neil was always such a fun, outgoing, down to earth guy. I recently had an emergency and they got me right in, and EVERYONE there was SO nice. I get super bad anxiety going to the dentist and they make you so comfortable you kinda forget about why your there. I wouldnt waste my time with a review if I didnt mean this 100%…THIS is where everyone needs to be seen.

They look up, smile, and say "I'll let the Dr. know you are here April." They are kind, understanding, and never speak down to you or make you feel like a criminal when you have dental issues. I continue to come, even though they are no longer in my dental network and it costs more. We love them that much. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend this dentist enough! He is incredibly kind, patient, and truly cares about his patience. He always makes me feel comfortable and while taking care of during every visit. What means the most to me is how willing he has been to work with me on a payment plan for a procedure that is usually very expensive. Finding a dentist, misunderstanding and compassionate is rare. Highly recommend to everyone.

Fantastic experience: I am new to SFD (second visit). Overall, I am extremely happy with this practice. Recently, I had a double filling done by Dr. Darya Barshak who was absolutely wonderful! She was very kind and explained everything that was being done (I'm not usually a fan of dental work...usually get very anxious). I felt totally relaxed. After that, I had a cleaning with Maddie. She, too, was wonderful. Made me feel very comfortable. I would be very happy to have either of them work with me in the future!

Fantastic experience: Hygienist- Latoya Willuams was the best I’ve ever had clean my teeth in my lifetime and I’m old! She was calming, gentle and my teeth looked great when she was done. Only confusion I had was when I needed to check on pricing for a crown, the desk told me I had a large credit. I had no idea. If I did not need a crown was I ever going to be informed I had a credit? Super happy about it but I wish I was told sooner.

Fantastic experience: Had a amazing, extremely friendly and professional appointment today. Stephanie Hernandez has been my Registered Dental Hygienist for the past 5 years. She has always been professional, caring and profound the most thorough exam and cleaning. Today she used every tool in her toolbox to diagnose a tooth that had some minor discomfort. After all the tests, the tooth / molar was fine and needed some antibiotics to lower some minor gum swelling. She suggested I buy a water floss to keep my gums and teeth in better shape. She told me this a few years ago and I didn’t listen. I wouldn’t have had this issue if I had been using the water floss. I am definitely going to buy one now. Thank you Stephanie!!!

Negative experience: The dental service is fine but for an office with “Family” in the name, it’s not family-friendly at all. I would not bring children here, we will be going to a pediatric dentist moving forward

They are not the type of people to recommend unnecessary procedures, big on preventative care, and explain everything thoroughly to make sure you understand their recommendations. Fantastic experience: WOW! is all I can say about Shapiro Dentistry and their staff. I have shamefully neglected the dentist for a year or two and was very anxious of my return. When I tell you immediately meeting Cassidy I felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders! she was so sweet, informative, understanding, and very thorough. Then Dr. Shapiro came in and I just got even better! He truly made me feel so comfortable and that he was actually listening to my concerns and willing to do whatever he can to help me! The women in the front ( so sorry no name drop lol) they were wonderful! Gave me my treatment plan and explained all of it and what I would expect. Overall the BEST dental experience I have had and can't believe I am saying this but.. I can't wait for my cleaning! Thank you Shapiro Dentistry

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Shapiro Family Dental for about 40 years. Dr. Shapiro is extremely kind and does everything he can to ensure your comfort. I recently needed to have a tooth removed. I was very nervous and Dr. Shapiro took the time to answer all of my questions, both prior to and after the procedure. Dr. Shapiro and his assistant Juan worked like a well-oiled machine. They both asked how I was doing many times to ensure I was having no issues. Although no one wants to have a procedure like this, I am fortunate to have Dr. Shapiro for my dental care.

Negative experience: I will give them a five star into now. I’ve been going there for around 10 years now this is my second time having my braces done because the first time I didn’t use my retainer property, which is not their fault and I was very happy with the service back then what they used to be in the little house what they used to treat people a little bit better than now.!! No, for a second time, I have my braces done there and since the second month, I have the Invisalign braces I wasn’t very happy with the results since the first two I complain it and they said they had to do adjustments what they did, but I had to leave out of the country for family reasons now I got a call there to reschedule my appointment to get my new braces out of nowhere they’re telling me you’re not gonna service me anymore because I miss couple appointments and I still got a piece of plastic on my mouth which it has to be taken by a professional dentist which will cost me more money after I spend over $10,000 and braces there that’s the treatment that you get specially for one of the lady that answered the phone. She’s very unprofessional Doctor Neil it’s a great personality guy I wish he can control more the staff. He got there like he used to do it when he was a little old house. Do you have any questions? Fantastic experience: I went to SFD as a new patient on Friday for a cleaning and to say I was impressed is putting it lightly. Working in the dental field myself, I look for certain things when entering another practice and they exceeded all expectations. The front end staff, Sam and Jen were amazing on the phone and in person. Extremely kind, friendly and informative. The hygienist, Maddie, was also so sweet and kind and she did a great job with my cleaning. Lastly, Dr Neil was incredibe. His bedside manner was one of the best I've seen and I immediately felt comfortable and trusted him. I have already recommended this office to friends, family and coworkers. So appreciative for such a positive experience and so glad I made the switch over to this practice. Thank you all so much!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Shapiro Dentistry for 30 years. I'm now 61 years old and only had 3 cavities in my life. But I had my first Root Canal ever this year and Dr. Oren Sudai tended to it with total confidence and ZERO pain for me.

Negative experience: Originally I had a decent experience, until Dr. Oren Sudai did crowns for me. They recommended I got crowns, which I proceeded to do, which I late found out I didn't need done by another dentist. Nonetheless, the crowns were completed, however they were uncomfortable for me. My bite was off and I couldn't eat correctly. I had to go back four times for adjustments. The final time I went back, I refused to leave until the Doctor made all the adjustments I needed to ensure I felt comfortable with the tooth, especially given that I went back 3 other times. The 4th time I went, I told him it still felt off and uncomfortable. However, he told me "it's fine", I told him it wasn't but it was obvious he just wanted to be. I expressed to him this is annoying for me as well having to come back multiple times and have the tooth still bother me. I left that day and called another dentist, who took me in immediately fixed the tooth and now I am comfortable and the bite isn't off anymore. I had to go to another dentist to fix what they did and had to pay additional money to fix it, which I shouldn't have had to do, if Dr.Sudai and his team didn't make me feel like i was exaggerating and I didn't need anything else. My bite was off and the tooth was some bothersome. I am so incredibly disappointed. I paid over 2k for these crowns, and for them to treat me this way and then I had to pay more money to get it fixed elsewhere is completely wrong and unprofessional. I will never go back and will never recommend this place.

Negative experience: I left my driver's license there. Instead of calling to let me know that they had it, they decided to mail it. Also, they were supposed to send something to my pharmacy, and it never happened. Then I got sent a bill for cleaning that was supposed to be covered by the insurance, and they wanted me to pay for it. No, I do not recommend this place.

Negative experience: Shapiro Dental will scam and price gauge you after performing subpar service. They garnished my wages for a crown that ANOTHER DENTIST HAD TO REPLACE - so I'm paying for a tooth they didn't even do right and had to be redone completely by a better dentist LOL. Don't trust these fake reviews, I did, and I AM STILL PAYING FOR IT.

" I GOT 99 PROBLEMS, BUT MY TOOTH AINT ONE." But anyways, I think you can pick up what I'm putting down here. Office is amazing. From the receptionists, to the hygienists, and the docs. They could have a million and one things going on, but the moment they walk in your cubie, you and your teeth are the only thing that matters.
