Fantastic experience: I had oral surgery today at the Wethersfield Dental Group office. Dr. James Pucci, oral surgeon, was the absolute best ! Dr. Pucci took the time to explain the entire procedure to me and he allowed time for my questions. The procedure was a complete success. Dr. Pucci was communicative from start to finish during my procedure and I was calm the entire time. I highly recommend Dr. James Pucci, oral surgeon !

Fantastic experience: Dr. Phandis and her team did an excellent job with my first appointment and the X-rays with very cool technology. They were able to explain how they will help me right away and also in the future with the rest of my mouth repairs.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience. The treatment was handled unprofessionally, and the staff did not seem adequately skilled. During the root canal procedure, the dentist appeared unsure and lacked proper knowledge about dental health, which resulted in damage to my tooth. After the issue occurred, there was no proper communication for several days. Initially, they provided a temporary filler at no cost, but later I was unexpectedly sent a bill. Simply apologizing after causing damage is not acceptable. Overall, this was a very unprofessional experience, and I would not recommend this clinic.

Negative experience: Poor experience Drilled a hole in my tooth for root canal Had a disagreement and made me leave with a hole in my mouth knowing she was suppose to fill the hole if not finish the root canal because other Dr.s will not go over other people work now it’s hard to get someone to do the root canal or fill the hole

Fantastic experience: Wethersfield dental group has a very professional team. I had a bad toothache while traveling. It was multiple cities so I could not consult any local dentist either.. Ellie from WDG came to my rescue, she was in constant touch and prescribed medication while I was traveling, she also ensured that I had the x-ray lined up the moment I landed in Hartford. It’s very rare to meet such a patient centric team. Great job and awesome experience

Negative experience: What a Disaster, third class DENTIST, UKTI PHADNIS and her horrible, struggling office. Where patients are not the center but she herself is the one.

Negative experience: This was the worst experience I ever had. I had one of my back teeth removed which cost me 850.00 with insurance. The X-rays cost 350. For a total of 1,2000. (That’s for 1 tooth extraction) No one called to see if I was ok. I was told they call and would set up a follow up visit and it never happened. My appointment was May 6 and today is May 13.

Positive experience: Just got my wisdom teeth removed by this office… Everyone was nice for the most part but when a patient request laughing gas to help calm nerves don’t try to talk them out of it. I had requested laughing gas, the doctor was all for it- the dental assistant came in and said he’s the best doctor once your numb you won’t feel no pain and that she would be with me the whole time… she was not in the room at all during the procedure. The other assistant was great though. I will say being fully aware during the entire procedure was tortuous. I don’t want to discredit the doctor, he was very patient and nice. At one point I needed him to stop because I felt nauseous and I was burning up. My heart rate had dropped so he gave me a few minutes and came back in to check on me to ask if I’d like to continue which I did. The only thing that got me through was prayer and disassociating. Should let patients know before their appointment that anesthesia is not an option at that office. I would’ve likely not got it done there because of that.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Javasd is the best! I feel she has become a friend! My visit was awsome! I am a white knuckle patient and was put at ease immediately! This was the second crown I needed and I get apprehensive she calmed me down and it turned out good! I would not hesitate to tell anyone to go to her!

Negative experience: We usually go to west Hartford dental group and they are linked to Wethersfield dental. West Hartford does not do wisdom teeth removal so they sent us to Wethersfield. First of all we were supposed to go once and not come back. However, they ran out of time and had us come back. At that first visit they did x-rays. My son is in college and not in this state so it is hard for him to keep coming back home. Then I got a voicemail saying they needed to take x-rays. When I called them back I said he already got x-rays they said they called in error. All this back and forth is ridiculous and it is like they can’t their patients straight. They never quoted me a price so when we went back the second time they dropped a huge bomb on me with the price. Luckily, there was a very nice woman working there who works per diem and explained everything to me. The people that usually work at the front desk aren’t that great and there was no communication. The woman who works per diem communicated. I just got a phone message that they want us to come in for a third time because they didn’t not submit something to insurance. Nope! That should have been taken care of when we were there. I don’t know if this was another voicemail in error too. I am just so annoyed. Also, just fyi if you are getting your wisdom teeth out they do not put you to sleep so you feel everything.

Negative experience: Very very unprofessional office, receptionists are very rude. I called to get another referral to a different doctor for fillings that I need to be taken care of and they refuse to give me another one. I called and there was a new receptionist and she said she would talk to the manager of the practice and never got a single call back so I had to call them myself. They proceed to not give me another referral. Also the dental tech was very rude to me as I have anxiety and she told me that I had to be put under and she was very wrong because when the doctor came in she told me otherwise. Do not recommend this dentist at all. Not only are my teeth bad, my teeth hurt and now i have to find a new dentist to get fillings done and it’s taking time up. I blame this on them.

Negative experience: The gum dentist Dr Norman was rude and mistook me for another patient and lectured me for 20 minutes before I walked out. I had to wait a long time in the waiting room before some one even acknowledged I had arrived. The dental practice has mismanaged my dental records by incorrectly inputing information into their system. They churn thru hygienists and in 5 years I have never had the same one. They are inconsistent and delay on insurance related matters.

Negative experience: Terrible. Very sketchy people. They told me my insurance had me covered. Then they said I owed 700$. I paid that. 6 months later, “you owe another $400 and you have to pay now or we will send it to collections.” They never even gave me a proper cleaning they just brushed my teeth and flossed. I can do that at home and pay 0$. Never going back

Fantastic experience: I had major dental surgery yesterday, and I received the most outstanding care from Dr. Vince Debitetto and the office staff. The skill and care with which he performed many different surgical procedures was of the highest quality. Today, I experienced nausea from the medicines I was prescribed and I called the office. Dr. Debitetto returned my call in minutes and helped me overcome my extreme discomfort. I highly recommend this practice.

Negative experience: I did not have a good experience at this office for my gum graft procedure. According to the doctor, the procedure went well and everything healed well. However, my issue was that expectations on “improved appearance” of my gums was not level set correctly and proactive information provided by the doctor before/after the procedure was incredibly limited. After my procedure the only thing he told me was not to eat seeds to prevent risk of infection & I had to call and follow up with questions I thought of after including when can I brush/floss? When can I wear my retainers again? Are there any other dietary restrictions besides no seeds? I expressed my disappointment in the lack of proactive communication/level setting during my follow up visit & the Dr turned it back on me asking why I didn’t ask more questions at the time. After I commented that I didn’t know what to ask necessarily as it was my first time with the procedure & expected that he would have provided more detail proactively he said “ok take care” and quickly left the room which I found to be strange and unprofessional. This office would benefit by implementing providing some type of written explanations of procedures/expectations in advance of appointments and comprehensive written after procedure care guidelines to help close those communication gaps.
