Positive experience: I expected them to perform the necessary cleaning, as my son hadn't seen a dentist in two years. However, the solution they offered was to wait almost two months (until October 26th) because there are no more appointments available, even though his diagnosis is serious.

I moved here a few years ago. Went to Mooresville Family Dentist who was the FIRST dentist that not only was pain FREE but gentle, understanding and very good. I would most definitely recommend them at the highest level.

Just can't say enough about how great they all are. Wonderful bedside manner!!! I was completely comfortable through the entire process of getting the teeth out. Working on getting my dentures now. I've never been to a dentist who made me feel so very comfortable while in the chair. Total praises to the entire staff!!!

Fantastic experience: Always have pleasant visits. The staff are friendly and explain everything. LOVE Dr. K! So caring, relaxed and soft spoken. This is a huge plus if you are anxious. He does not recommend more than what you need. Not in it for the money. I have referred him to a number of people who love him also. He is truly a Dr that cares for his patients!!!

Fantastic experience: We moved here from California, we were spoiled at our previous Dentist, great people awesome atmosphere, thought we would never find a place like that ever again, until I just happened to walk into MFD, I was immediately greeted with cheerful employees that you knew right away had care and concern at the top of their list, Dr.Karriker and his staff are theeee best, I wasn’t to impressed by their facility, but I overlooked that because of how they treated me (however they completed renovated the whole place) tv’s on the ceiling, like my previous dentist, now my whole family are his clients, (and if anyone asks if I know of good dentist, we’ll you already know the answer to that question) I’m really bad with names, but the woman that always does my cleaning (you know who you are) she is, hands down the best in the business, please tell her I said so, she knows I am very sensitive (teethe and gum wise) so she does it all by hand, no scary and terrifying drills. Fantastic experience: Dr. Karriker is wonderful, which is probably why his employees are too. Every time I visit, it's almost like I'm visiting friends, however they are all extremely professional and skilled at what they do. I had a cleaning appointment today, and an exam. Also spoke with Dr. Karriker about a partial denture. Dr. K took the time to explain everything and left me feeling comfortable and in good hands. I honestly cannot recommend Mooresville Family Dentistry enough. Updated 7/23/24 Had some emergency work done today, which also involved some teeth pulling. Dr. Karriker did the work carefully and quickly and relatively painlessly. Updated 3/25/25 Had a cleaning by Tiffany today. She was great - very thorough. Updated 11/11/25 Finished up an implant today with a crown. Everything fit perfectly. So happy

Negative experience: I missed an appointment due to having a baby and got a bill from a collections agency months later. They didn't even call me or send me a bill before sending it to collections and messing up my credit. I'll be finding a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: A week ago Sunday I had a tooth crack and break off. Most likely due to a very old filling that consumed most of the tooth. I expected I needed a crown. I called on Sunday evening and left a message for someone to call me asap. They called me the next morning on Monday. Monday afternoon they saw me. Confirmed a crown was needed to save the tooth. Four days later on Thursday I had a temporary crown in place. Today a week later my permanent crown is now securely in place. Amazing. Most dentist you wait months to be seen. One word. Amazing. Brittany did a great job with my intake and multiple x-rays; she made the experience easy and seamless. Tiffany cleaned my teeth, and it didn’t even hurt! (Big deal) I experienced little to no discomfort. Tiffany was also able to answer all of my questions about my teeth and give me proper oral hygiene information. She’s also a great conversationalist. I felt very comforted by Dr. S because of her thorough examination of my teeth and her genuine interest in hearing my thoughts of the current state of my teeth. I also didn’t have to wait forever to be taken back, have my cleaning, and meet with Dr. S. It’s a well run office. I had an awesome first visit and will be returning!

MFD was the answer and they even accepted my dental insurance. Dr Tran was amazing. She is very skilled and does super high quality work. I had three crowns. They fit and look perfect. Fantastic experience: I contacted the office in desperation seeking help for an abcessed tooth. I was not a patient of theirs. The receptionist was very kind and got me in within the hour. The dentist was very kind as well. Sadly they couldn't help me as my tooth was too severe and I have medical issues so he reffered me to an oral surgeon. I respect that. To want to do what is in the patient's best interest. I also really liked the TV on the ceiling with the soothing ocean pictures. I have alot of anxiety about the dentist from some childhood trauma and the ceiling tv was a great distraction and very soothing. I felt.very comfortable there. Once I take care of this abcess I will be back to make this my regular dental office.

Fantastic experience: I just recently started going to Mooresville Family Dentistry and I love it. I am very anxious when going to the dentist due to a bad experience when I was younger but all of the staff are very nice and the dentist was wonderful. They make you feel so at home. You can tell they are truely about you and are going to make you feel as comfortable as possible.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient for several years. Kim, the office manager, always greets me warmly when I call to schedule an appointment. I can always count on them to be running on schedule and generally sit in the lobby less than 5 minutes. The staff is very pleasant, upbeat and efficient. It’s obvious that their goal is to give each and every client the same level of exceptional care. Dr. Karriker has been awesome. I appreciate his thorough explanation of any issue with a tooth. If there is an option to delay treatment until a future visit, he gives me the opportunity to choose. If I need a filling or a crown, at least twice he worked me into his schedule to do the work that day. The best thing to me is he appreciates that I get a little anxious when he is working with equipment in my mouth. He tells me what he is doing every step of the way. I have been pleased with everything he has done.

I walked in the door this afternoon at 2 o’clock with a very big problem with a crown placed by different dentist. They gave me an appointment at 3:30 so I would not have to wait there. Their dentist looked at my tooth and agreed with me and repaired the tooth in just a couple minutes , sent me on my way Very Happy and Grateful for their care! Negative experience: I got “fired” as a client before I ever got to become one. I had a very disappointing experience with this dentist. I waited for 6 months for a teeth cleaning appointment because I was not an existing client. I ended up being sick the week of my appointment and had to cancel the morning of. I didn’t cancel before that day because I started feeling sick the day before and hoped I’d be ok for the appointment since I really couldn’t wait another 6 months for another one. I left a message the morning of explaining I was very sick and understood it was an inconvenience and was happy to pay a cancellation fee. The next day I ended up going to urgent care and continued to be sick for a couple more days. Once I was well, I called to reschedule. I again apologized and said I am happy to pay a cancellation fee. At that point I was told they don’t charge cancellation fees but that the Dr takes same day cancellations very seriously and they would have to ask him if I could reschedule. I explained that I could also provide proof I was at urgent care the next day and she said that she would talk to the Dr and call me back. A couple days went by and I hadn’t heard back so I called again. She said she hadn’t had a chance to talk to him about it yet as they had been busy. I again explained I could show proof I was at urgent care and could even give them a reference to my previous dentist that I went to for many years before moving without ever cancelling. I also explained I had waited for so long for the appointment and really needed to get in for a cleaning and a cavity. She said she’d call me back. I never heard back and it has been a week now. While I definitely understand same day cancellations are extremely inconvenient for a dentist, I also feel that doctors in general should have a sense of care and empathy for their clients. I was more than willing to pay for the time they had lost, prove I was sick, and also prove I was a good client by providing a reference. It’s hard for me to believe that a doctor would want a sick patient to come in and spread their illness to their staff. And to refuse to take care of someone who had a legitimate reason for canceling, in my opinion, is not the definition of a good doctor and is really sad.

Negative experience: **Zero Star** I have had the worst experiences with this dentist. First off, they completely botched a root canal on one of my teeth, only to suggest later that I needed implants because the cap they put on repeatedly kept falling off - they shaved off too much of the tooth. It's like they couldn't even get the basics right. But that is not all. My mother also had a terrible experience. After going in for a routine cleaning, the dentist informed her that she needed a filling. Once the filling was completed, she was in excruciating pain for two weeks and could not eat or sleep properly. When she returned to the dentist, Dr. K was unaware of why the filling was done and had no explanation for her pain. She ultimately had to undergo a root canal, as the dentist had apparently shaved off too much of her tooth. Following the root canal, my mother's pain persisted, causing her to miss an appointment. Shockingly, when she tried to reschedule for a cap appointment, they refused, citing the missed appointment as an excuse. To add insult to injury, they scheduled her for a routine cleaning but refused to take her cap appointment. This dentist is an absolute disaster, a one-stop shop for dental nightmares. I wouldn't recommend them. Steer clear unless you enjoy enduring unnecessary pain and want to fund a dentist's practice that seems more interested in creating problems than solving them.

Dr K. and his staff is the only people I trust with my dental care and it is also very reasonably priced. They will listen to you and meet your needs.

Negative experience: 1st visit you ordered a mouth wash for my 3 broken teeth ...never got! I also called Nesbitt but the lines were all down. Finally got someone and left a message accepting appointment for Thursday. They are closed on Wednesday. Isn't there something over the counter for some relief.??.?
