Fantastic experience: What a great visit with the doc and his associates! They were kind and friendly. I am very impressed with the service and care. Dr. Melonaikas (ooops...not sure about that spelling) spent time just chatting and getting to know me. I appreciated that thoughtfulness. Thanks ya'll! I'll be back:)

Fantastic experience: Plantation is my family’s regular dental office, and yesterday I had an old crown come off. I called Plantation at 2pm, was in by 4pm and on my way by 4:30! Quick and easy. Dr. M explained everything very succinctly and the procedure was much less involved than I feared. Yesterday just reinforces our belief that Plantation is the best office for our family here in Mooresville.

April 4, 2026. Once again in fact, every 6 months, I have a great experience with Dr Melonakos and my hygienist Whitney and of course, the front desk. While Sloan was out when I was there, she is a comforting and familiar presence whenever I walk into Plantation Dental. Highly recommend this practice!

Fantastic experience: I had a scheduled appointment to get my tooth extracted with my regular dental office the week following but unfortunately needed it sooner, heard about plantation and gave them a call. They got me in immediately, the overall service from the front desk till the end was beyond my expectations. Tara who was assisting Dr.Melonakos was great, all of my concerns were addressed and she made sure I was as comfortable as could be prior. Dr.Melonakos was patient, kind, and very thorough in explaining all of my options. The extraction was the best experience I could have had, he consistently ensured I was numb through the process. I was very nervous/overwhelmed and the team really took care of me. If you’re looking for a new office and not sure, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: (2023) Great dentist! Great hygienist! Great staff! They check all the boxes. One of us has good teeth and one of us has not so good teeth. We get the level of care needed to keep each of us healthy. Every visit is a positive experience. Updated Review (2025): I lost my dental insurance last year and had to reduce my family’s twice a year visits until my insurance can be reinstated. Two nights ago I had a crown fall out. I called Plantation to see if they would see me ASAP (on a Friday) to get it fixed before a big weekend I had planned. They worked me into their schedule. They treated me as though I had a regular appointment. Dr. Melonakis took all the time needed to fix the crown. Even without insurance, I felt like the charge for services rendered was completely reasonable.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient for 2 1/2 years and continue to be very pleased as to how friendly and professional the staff were, including the front desk staff. Whitney, the hygienist, was fantastic. I have sensitive gums and the cleaning was exceptional and performed with minimal discomfort. Whitney was very knowledgeable and thoroughly explained the entire process . Dr.Melonakis continues to be concerned with patients oral care and addresses all patients concerns and questions. I continue to highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: After trying a local dentist, which we were not happy with at all, we did some research and found Dr. Steven Melonakos and his group at Plantation Dental. He has a stellar reputation, and his online reviews and comments reflect that, so my wife and I decided to give him a try. I can tell you that the staff, and I mean the entire staff, are all wonderful and personable, and actually care about the patients who walk through the door into their office. That said, here is my review of my first and second experience Plantation Dental: First visit consisted of x-rays and dental history. Needless to say, it was a rather long visit because it also included a cleaning and examination. Dental Hygienist, Becca, was welcoming and personable and fastidious in the way she documented my dental history. She was equally as detail oriented when she assessed my teeth and did my cleaning. I have to say that she is the best hygienist to date to clean my teeth, truth! Dr. Melonakos came in after the cleaning, and introduced himself to me and asked me some questions about my dental history. We shared some personal stuff also. He is very personable and conversational. He performed a thorough and comprehensive examination based on the x-rays that were taken by Becca. And as well, he did a thorough physical cancer screening of my mouth and neck area. More comprehensive than any other dentist I have been to in the past. Dr. Melonakos did find one cavity on the x-rays. He had availability the next day. So I took the appointment. I showed up today, and as discussed, I reminded Dental assistant, Emily, that I would require no novacaine, since the filling was going to be comfortably far away from the tooth nerve. Everything went smooth and took about 45 minutes and there was no pain at all. The tooth looks and feels great. My wife and I are so happy that we found this fantastic group of people to take care of our dental needs. Needless to say, we both highly recommend Plantation Dental.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding caring dentist and staff. You never feel like he is too rushed to not establish a personal connection with his patients. Approximately 4 weeks after the last visit, I developed a tooth ache and Plantation Dental immediately made room on the schedule to treat me and care for it. Their customer care is exceptional.

Negative experience: The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the dentist was NOT. He ripped me off when my dentures crack and had to be repaired again. The assistant advised the price with be same as last time, when I went to pick up the dentures the dentist told me it was going to be double what the assistant told me. He implied I was lying!!! I will never go back!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Melonakos is a great dentist. After yesterday’s visit, I’ve switched from the dentist I’ve been seeing for years over to Plantation Dental and Dr. Melonakos. He and his staff were very personable and nice. He has always been accommodating and could get me in on short notice where my primary dentist would not.

Fantastic experience: The day before our family left for vacation, our 7yo hit his front tooth on his handlebars. He was devastated, emotional, and hurting from the fractured tooth. Dr M was able to get him in same day and help us out. Tooth looks as good as new and our boy is happy to show it off.

Fantastic experience: Best Dentist that I've ever been to. He is very kind, compassionate, and really listens to the patient. He is responsive to my needs and is up front with price transparency prior to doing any work. His staff all share the same culture of making you feel like you are their only patient. When I go to the dentist, I don't want it to hurt, and neither do they. They constantly stayed in tune with how I was feeling and immediately responded as necessary and appropriate. I selfishly hesitate to give 5 stars because I don't want them to get too busy. But they deserve 10 stars!
