Negative experience: I would not recommend this office based on my experience. The new front desk staff were very unprofessional and didn’t seem knowledgeable about the dental field. I also overheard staff discussing other patients in front of people in the waiting room, which felt very inappropriate and unprofessional. The male dental assistant’s hands were noticeably shaking during my visit, which made me uncomfortable. On top of that, staff were making TikTok videos while patients were in the office, creating an environment that felt more focused on social media than patient care. Overall, the office atmosphere was very odd and did not make me feel comfortable or confident in the professionalism of the team.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Apple Dental for years, and overall my experiences have always been positive. At one point I was incorrectly told they no longer accepted my insurance (not by them) so I went through a long, exhausting process of trying other dentists just to get a tooth extracted. I was even told I needed an oral surgeon, which added to the confusion and delays. After finally confirming with Apple Dental that they did accept my insurance, they got me in quickly without hesitation. I’m honestly not sure where some of the negative reviews come from, because I’ve never had a bad experience here. I’ve never waited more than 30 minutes for my appointment to begin, and the entire staff has always treated me with respect and kindness. The receptionist is especially warm and personable, and one of the assistants (I believe his name is Julio) really helped ease my anxiety during my visit—he even let me squeeze his hand while I was nervous, which meant a lot. Dr. Kanchan Thind is absolutely amazing. She made sure I was comfortable throughout my procedure and performed a tooth extraction quickly and painlessly. I didn’t feel a thing, and my healing went smoothly and fast afterward. Now that I’m reestablished as a patient, I’m genuinely happy to be back. I won’t be going anywhere else again.

Negative experience: Honestly one of the most uncomfortable dental visits I’ve ever had. The dentist seemed unsure of what she was doing and kept stopping to ask the male assistant for help, which was very concerning as a patient.What made it even more confusing was that the assistant who had a very heavy accent and was hard to understand mentioned that he is a dentist as well. It left me questioning who was actually in charge of my care and whether I was being treated properly.The whole experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. I did not feel confident or safe during my visit, and I definitely won’t be returning.

Fantastic experience: This is the best care I have got in my life . The entire staff are friendly and caring. They dont judge . I only took advil 2 x after tooth extractions . No pain ! My wait time was extremely short . I was in and out in no time at all.

Negative experience: I had an appointment and waited over hour and half to get call, meanwhile front woman lots of makeup was very unprofessional. Loud vulgar comments with other back staff. Meanwhile place was dirty and all back staff looked unhappy. Very low quality work done . Not worth it. Save your money

Positive experience: The dental work was excellent. Dentist and assistant were courteous and professional. The front desk person was rude though. Was told when I arrived that my appointment wasn't confirmed, even though my previous wasn't. She had the wrong phone number for me and also the wrong insurance, even though these were verified last visit.

Negative experience: Awful service, called multiple times a bout my appointment and they refused to tell my anything.i come in the day of my appointment and they tell me they can't see me because I don't have insurance and that is news to me, I ask why I was not notified that I would not be seen and they told me have a nice day

Fantastic experience: Called for an emergency appointment I was seen within 30 mins of calling for the emergency appointment doctor was very gentle and considerate loved the environment and they way they handle the patients will definitely be switching to them for myself and my family

Fantastic experience: My experience was excellent! Friendly polite staff. Very informative when asked about any dental work or questions I had regarding mine. Conservative about saving teeth. Also helpful advice on getting possible financing so some procedures that I need , I will be able to get now. Oh ! Most of all concerned about my level of comfort! Definitely keeping Apple Dental. Finally trust was earned. Makes a huge difference to me. Plus also on out of pocket costs , they don't over price! Reasonable. The dentist is fabulous and will definitely do all he can to fight for your rights when insurance won't approve a procedure to save a tooth instead of extract it. Very nice man! As is everyone else!

Negative experience: Very unprofessional, unsafe and broken dental facility. I had an appointment at 9am, arrived to the office at 8.45 as asked as a new patient. I have not been taken into the room until 9.20 because the dentist/hygienist walked into the office at 9.15. Then I have been asked to wait for x-rays until the other patient was done because they only have 1 x-ray. I have asked to postpone x-rays to the next appointment as I had another medical appointment scheduled at 11am. The dentist/hygienist told me that they can do the regular cleaning without x-rays. Then the cleaning machine did not work at all, it was broken. They started checking other rooms if the other machines are working! Then the office manager came to the room and asked me if I want to reschedule or cancel because this is the ONLY room they can do teeth cleaning. She also mentioned they cannot do the cleaning without X-rays-totally opposite of what I’ve been told by the hygienist. I said I’ve been waiting for almost an hour for a cleaning to start and be completed, if somebody can please do this today because I’m taking time off from work to get my medical appointments done and they could not. Be aware of the unprofessionalism and incapability of this facility. If you do not want to waste your time and would like to get quality care I would definitely suggest to look elsewhere. Plus, the way you’re being treated as a patient is very rude and unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: I searched every were in tears looking for an emergency dentist visit who would take me in on the same day and who accepted my insurance ,not only did they get me in right away on a busy day the service and staff are amazing, The Dr was gentle took his time and explained everything to me in detail and answered all my questions .

Positive experience: Everyone was very nice there. Kind of a long waiting time but they are one of the few places that take my insurance 100% so I gotta expect them to be busy. I had never gotten any crowns done before so I would have liked it if they explained the process to me ahead of time. Over all it was a very good experience. And good people.

Positive experience: My most recent appointment was because I had a swollen face and some pain in my mouth. The appointment was pretty quick this time which I really appreciate. I went in, got a couple of X-Rays, then a dentist came in, looked at them and told me what was wrong which was exactly what I thought it was. I was given a couple prescriptions and another appointment for after a few days of antibiotics. I have no doubt the problem will be fixed at that appointment. And the whole staff was very friendly and helpful as usual. Thank you Apple Dental, I’m looking forward to an equally pleasant experience at my next appointment.

Negative experience: Although the staff was wonderful including the female doctor, their main male doctor is horrible. I had gone in for an extraction today and the male doctor there was just a piece of garbage. I wasn’t numbed completely and he proceeded to do the extraction. In the middle of the procedure I told him I was in pain and he said it wasn’t pain it was pressure. How is he going to tell me what I feel! He proceeded to pull out my tooth even though I started to cry from the pain and my whole body started to shake from the procedure being done. It was my first time here and I will NEVER be going back. The nurses and female doctor were very concerned as they saw me crying and I cannot mention how many times they apologized to me on my way out while the doctor had no care in the world. If you’re looking to get work done, go elsewhere!

Negative experience: Don’t bother making an appt. They’ll make you sit there for over an hour and still not see you. Then when you get upset and leave they don’t care No I wasn’t there for 30 minutes. I got there at 2:05 and left at 3 o’clock. If you couldn’t fit me in then don’t take me. I still wasn’t seen and nothing was done. If you’re that far being with patients maybe you shouldn’t take as many as you did. It’s unacceptable. I was able to get in somewhere else and they saw me immediately. You tell me 2 o’clock so I made time around that. I can’t sit there for over an hour that’s absolutely ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Dr. Virk for past 5 years and have always had a great experience. He’s a thorough professional and very friendly. My two boys, 15 and 12, also get their dental work done by Dr. Virk. The staff is amazing and extremely helpful, and try to accommodate the patient schedule as much as possible. 5-Star service all around

Fantastic experience: I have to say that in all my years of going to the dentist I have never met anyone with more patience than Dr. Sanjeevan. Additionally his silk hand will not allow you to feel any pain or discomfort. He is in my eyes a magician, I so highly recommend this dentist as the best!! As far as insurance he pretty much takes all, and if not he will work something out with you!! I can not leave out that his team id exceptionally EXELLENT!! They make you feel very comfortable, they go out their way to make sure each visit is great!! One of the best part of this dental office team is the people in the Front...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Virk and his staff are excellent! After suffering a broken tooth, I went to two dentists and neither one could save the tooth. As a last shot, I went to Apple Dental, and Dr. Virk was able to save the tooth! I drive all the way from Branford to Meriden just to use Dr. Virk and his team. Many thanks, for the 5 Star Service!

Negative experience: This is by far the worst dentist I’ve ever been to. Between the unprofessionalism and not doing the service you asked for, I would not recommend going here. I went to them twice for a routine cleaning/check up and emphasized that I had a chipped tooth and cavities I noticed developing. The first time I went, I was in the chair for 45 minutes only for them to tell that in order to get my chipped teeth fixed I need veneers and insurance wouldn’t cover it. I kept bringing up my cavities but was ignored and told to come another time after only speaking with me for five minutes. The second time I went, a few days later, they asked what I was there for and I repeated my reason. I waited almost a full hour before the dentist could come see me and told me she would be able to fix my chipped teeth which I was glad to hear and told her about my cavities. When getting worked on, water was splashing in my face and eyes, and the people working on me seemed to be more invested in what they were talking about vs the fact that stuff was getting in my eyes. After fixing my chipped teeth and fixing an old filling, the dentist told me we were all done and started talking to me about a night guard that would cost me $300 out of pocket. I asked about my cavities and I was told to go the front to start a payment plan. Fast forward the filling the dentist fixed almost completely came out and now I’m dealing with immense pain and bleeding. If you could find another dentist I would suggest you do so.

Fantastic experience: Apple dental has been a blessing in disguise for me previously I went to another dentist office. They had no appointments available. This office had plenty of appointments and took my insurance right away within a day. I was able to see a dentist get a teeth cleaning without any charge and offered a second cleaning at a lower Rate Thank you to staff at Apple dental on West Main in Meriden. They have one of the best cruise dentist and dental hygienist that I ever seen.

Negative experience: I was very afraid of going to the dentist.the male secretary was very nice and considerate.the female Indian doctor and the aids were all very rude .made me cry.they were very mean and no manners what so ever.only made my fear of going to the the dentist more traumatic for me .and I was a paying cash customer.i will never return the and tell everyone who is looking for a dentist to find someone else to go to.DO NOT EVER go to Apple Dentist .

Negative experience: So I went this morning to Apple Dental on West Main st in meriden,first of all the experience was horrible the 2 girls that work up-front were extremely nice when I got to the back to sit on the chair for service the dentist was very rude she stated that I had a cleaning done a few months back I told her this must be a mistake because I haven't had one in over a year she then brought in a translator to speak to me in spanish when the whole time we were speaking in English,so she felt like I wasn't understanding her in English so brought in a translator which was totally uncalled for then she told me (WELL YOU EITHER PAY THE 175.00 FOR THE CLEANING TODAY OR YOU CAN GET UP AND LEAVE THE OFFICE AND CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY AND CALL US BACK AND SCHEDULE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT.This was totally uncalled for therefore I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE TO GO THERE BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT FRIENDLY,AND THEY HAVE ATTITUDES DEFINITELY NOT A PLACE I WOULD WANT TO BRING MY CHILD AT ALL OR MYSELF AND.

Fantastic experience: Okay I know I can’t fit all the words I really want to say in this small box but this place is absolutely AMAZING ❤️ my entire family goes to this dentist office. I just recently moved here in CT from FL and my mother in law recommended me to this office because she goes here also and she has told me so many great things. I will never go to a different dentist. The nurses and doctors here make my children feel safe and they create a fun exciting environment for them. If u don’t have a dentist yet, definitely call here and make an appointment! A little glimpse of one of my kids enjoying their visit at the dentist !

Fantastic experience: I'm a returning patient, I left Apple Dental a few months ago after a heated dispute with their office manager, jason gonzalez. The guy was a complete fraud and con artist. He charged me for a service covered by my insurance and then proceeded to refuse to refund me. Offered instead a discount on one of hos NRA classes i wasnt interesed in ...Dr virk eventually corrected this wrong doing. I went in today for an appt with my child and the entire office was calm and serene, the atomosphere in the office was different and soothing, the staff was attentive and thorough, to no surprise jason is no longer at this office. Hooray for Apple Dental. They finally got rid of the vermin. I will be transferring back to my old dentist.
