Negative experience: Something came up and I couldn’t make my appointment, I called 3 hours before, “call us when you’re ready to move forward, no problem at all” 45 mins later their automated texting service says I owe em $50 last time I went in there, I spent 400 on x rays! When they had agreed to remove the needed tooth for $300, $400 later I got nothing. I love how on yelp they have 1.6 stars. Must be bots leaving good reviews.

Negative experience: Do not go here. He said I had 5 cavities. Which I should have questions and got a second opinion about. Turns out he actually filled SIX, which I ended up paying for unknowingly. I now cannot dispute unless I know which tooth it is, which they said they don’t have that information because everything is on “paper” not in the computer. I had to get two of the cavities fixed by him because I could not floss in-between them. He then made the gap so large food was getting caught. I ended up going to a different dentist to fix both this issue and the other fillings which were never filed to my bite. I had to pay out of pocket for this due to the teeth “already being filled.”

Negative experience: I would not take my dog there to have his teeth cleaned. I was left with partial paralysis on my face.

Fantastic experience: Can't say any damn thing bad about the whole operation!! The whole staff is friendly and Dr Gottlieb ensures the pain associated with your procedures are minimal to zero!! Wouldn't go anywhere else

After just one visit—when they kindly fit me in for an emergency even though I was a new patient—I knew I had found the perfect dental office for my family. Everyone I met was warm, friendly, and genuinely cared about my experience. Anna and Christie made me feel comfortable throughout my dental work and checked in often to be sure I was okay. Dr. Gottlieb himself was thoughtful, caring, and funny—a true hat-trick! The front desk and billing staff are also excellent; they clearly explain services and out-of-pocket costs after insurance, so there are never any surprises. The entire team made sure all of my questions were answered and that I felt well informed. I would happily recommend Dr. Gottlieb to all of my family and friends—what an amazing team!

Fantastic experience: I was terrified to go to the dentist after not going due to needles & lack of insurance! All i can say is what an incredible place. Dr Todd Gottlieb is by far the best dentist in the world hands down! He was amazing and did exactly what he said he would do, also always checking on you to make sure you’re ok. All the staff are amazing as well!! Evelyse was very nice explaining to me everything that Dr Todd went over with her and honestly she was so polite made me feel very comfortable . also i believe her name was Christine, Dr todds assistant she was absolutely amazing i was able to open up to her in the beginning about my fear and she was just there for me the entire time making me feel super comfortable to just get it done. im very happy i went with them definitely staying for life i was not expecting how phenomenal this place is highly recommend 100 stars!!!!

Fantastic experience: My 1st appointment i was greeted by sweet receptionists who cared about my issue. I needed 2 teeth pulled * emergency * i met with Christine 1st who got all my info and explained what was going to happen Upon meeting her i was greeted by a super friendly man with a huge smile * good looking may i add* he was my dentist well not being in a dentist chair for quite sometime, Dr Gottlieb made everything easy we laughed joked, you cannot find a dentist like this ( who the hell needs laughing gas?) With him! However I had locals. He's fast he knows what he's doing! He's not like the other commercial dentists he owns this place. I had an emergency because I got nailed with dry rot ( never experienced this in my life) the pain was unbearable I made 1 call they set me up had me come in he knew exactly what happened and this dr jumped to help in my time of need ! He cleaned it out put medication in it gave me some meds This man is a god! I came home after the local had worn off no pain! Omg! Thankyou so much Dr Todd bless you! If your looking for a dentist/ oral surgeon HE IS THE ONE! He cares,Very friendly, professional, funny as hell. I suffer from severe mental issues and he and staff made me feel as if I belong and I can call at anytime with any questions or concerns that other dentists do not do . Others treat you like a revoving door just another patient. Nope not Dr Todd highly recommended! Office extremely clean,bathrooms same,parking lot is busy yes but you can find a spot! I refuse to leave this office and Dr Todd i trust this man whole heartly! I'd also like to add my 1st cleaning was with Cheryl on Oct 22nd however this woman extremely pleasant treated me with utmost respect non judgemental. Fantastic experience: I’m a man baby. I was so scared to go get a tooth pulled, but let me tell you how amazing every staff member in that building I interacted with was insanely polite and reassuring. The receptionists, assistant, doctor, and payment plan coordinator were all so wonderful to deal with. Got my x rays, some gas, my needles (that were practically painless even with an infection), and the doctor yanked that sucker out in no time. This is the day after I got my tooth pulled and I’m dealing with probably the least amount of pain you can be in after a procedure like that. Nothing but my best to say about this place. I don’t want to go anywhere else for dental needs now.

Negative experience: During covid epidemic, most dentist were shut down and Dr.Todd took care of my severe tooth ache. Stayed with them and poor bridge work on my teeth and my wifes teeth were preformed. Not only that both for me and my wifes teeth work, accounting office said out of pocket cost would be about $400.00 for Rhoda and myself, (felt I did not need to call insurance carries, felt dentist office was trusting). Work completed on myself and my wife it wound over $3,000.00. I felt stupid, so I paid it off monthly. However, did not go back to Franklinville Denistry, but they kept calling to do some more work on my teeth, Just too see, I said ok, (cause they have all recent x-rays). They called me back, and said insurance will cover cost but small amount. Then Frankliville Denistry asked what is most convient time for me to proceed with dental work? I said will call you back and let you know. I called my dental insurance and stated to me, it was submitted, but nothing is covered cause my wife and myself maxed out of the limits, last time. Did not respond to them and just a month ago. The work Franklinville Denistry had done was effecting us both. Went back to my old Dentist and gave him a piece of my mind for not seeing us during covid epidemic..partially understood. Where the work was done on myself and Rhods, Dentist has to pull it out and both of us has to get root canal, crowns and 3-tootb bridge and exact cost for work. You decide what you want done and where.

That's just a bonus, as the Dr and ALL staff just want to help you. It reminds me of how dentist offices were years ago, when people took the time to care! I went in with a few, actually many problems. I had a root canal, extraction and fillings, another words lots of work. I was treated like royalty, this office Treats all patients like this. I experienced no pain! His experience shows! I had to take the time to thank Dr. Todd Gottlieb and his entire staff. Thank you!!!!!

Negative experience: Haven’t been there in years but many members of my family and I continue to fix his shoddy work. Everything is a rush job with this guy. My wife never had a cavity before this hack got to her. His fillings don’t hold up so be prepared to replace those with a better dentist later. It’s an issue all 4 of my other family members who used to go to him have also had. The most recent fix has been to remove a root that he did not remove during a root canal (probably because he was in a hurry) Pretty sad when the periodontist who’s fixing it asks who did it and just makes a cringy face when you tell him it was Dr. Gottlieb. I’ve fought the urge to leave this review every time I or my wife have to fix his terrible work but this was the tipping point. Ultimately, I just want to let others know that this guy will likely ruin their mouth just so he can pay for his wine locker at Capital Grille. Reply to your reply: It’s been at about 6-7 years since I’ve been to you. I complained about fees for fixing work that you messed up to begin with. Most notably when you ground my incisor down to half of its size to fit an Invisalign tray. Funny how I don’t have this issue with my current dentist. Not that my teeth are your business but I was at a Perio because a root you failed to remove was starting to protrude through my gum causing an infection and it required an extraction. Also, I was in Capital Grill for an anniversary dinner well after Covid restrictions were lifted and happened to see your name on the locker so I’d say that’s far less than 7 years ago. Any other “facts” you want to get straight? I think this shows far more of what kind of dentist you are than what kind of guy I am.

Negative experience: Wouldn’t recommend this place unless you just need your teeth pulled. Went here hoping to get my dental health under control and fixed. He instead gave me a filling with no crown when I wanted a tooth pulled and left the filling and a shaved tooth. Along with sealing the too 4 teeth together with some binding agent, making my teeth look better, but trapping so much bacteria between the filling and my teeth, and giving me no room between my teeth to floss. I’m now going to a different dentist who has givin me a proper cleaning (unlike here who didn’t even mentioned I needed one) and fixing the top front row with my teeth with crowns. If you need actual dental work, I wouldn’t recommend this place. So many things weren’t done correctly and I’m very disappointed and suffering tooth pain because of this negligence.

Negative experience: Negative stars would be more appropriate. I needed an implant and saw on the website that they offer a complete dental implant for $2499 so I made an appointment for a FREE consultation, for which I was billed. I explained that I was in the process of having restorative work done on my jaw bone and sinus membrane and that the oral surgeon would be placing the implant so I only needed the abutment and crown. I also explained that I didn’t think my insurance would cover it and he told me that my out of pocket expense would be $1300, which I paid in full in September 2023. After the procedure, they went on to bill my primary insurance, which ended up paying out over $1000. Then, they submitted multiple claims to my secondary insurance, which were denied. Instead of the billing department saying “Hey, your insurance actually paid over $1000 of the claim so we owe you that money”, I got a call saying if my secondary insurance won’t pay i might owe another $700. Let’s do the math. Complete procedure = $2499 but since I already had the actual implant the total was $1300. Insurance paid an additional $1000 toward the same abutment and crown. I might owe another $700? Really? Remember, I also already paid about $140 for a FREE consultation. It’s June 2024 and they’re still submitting claims to my secondary insurance. If this guy thinks trying to steal another $700 from me is worth his reputation then I say bring it on - I will not back down. Reply: I’m only bitter when someone tries to steal my money and my happiness will come listening to you explain this to a judge. #1 - I explained the situation and referenced your coupon - you gave me an OUT OF POCKET total of $1300. I paid that #2 - Your coupon doesn’t have an expiration date. I have a screen grab of it with today’s date, so there’s that. I guess you need to decide if your professional reputation is worth $700

Fantastic experience: All of the positive reviews of Dr. Gottlieb and his staff are well deserved. Every person who worked with me was not only exceptionally professional, but genuinely nice and caring. Getting me the help I needed and helping me to be less stressed out in the process was of utmost importance. I’m so glad to have happened upon Dr. Gottlieb’s practice.

Negative experience: I was GOT by Gottlieb... a deadbeat dentist (in my opinion) who does not stand behind his work. He put “ME” in a dental emergency with extensive work to be done to correct, denying any wrongdoing after taking my money, kicked me to the curb so he does not have to deal with it anymore, and made up wonderful stories (LIES) about me to share to other people including online, etc. This guy is very unprofessional. He believes he can do it all, a one shop stop… saying it is harassment because I am trying to get him to fix his shoddy work (financially of course I wouldn't let this guy any where near my mouth again) and told me not call his office again or he's going to call the law....

Fantastic experience: My first experience here was a call to the office to schedule a cleaning since I’m new to the area. The front desk was so nice, accommodating & efficient with getting back to me with questions I had. They were a little booked which wasn’t a problem (I took it as a good sign) but requested to be on the cancellation list. Fast forward to the following week they had an available appointment that day that I took. When entering the office you first notice the bright, clean, modern look that was recently renovated and was welcomed by very friendly front desk receptionists. I was taken in at my scheduled time & loved my hygienist & dentist I have never had an experience like this at a dentist office before! They offer a great in office plan and I am so happy to say this is my new go to dentist ☺️

Negative experience: Would not recommend, it's taken me a while to write this, but i had several teeth worked on including one root canal last year. 4 out of the 5 teeth worked on have now been redone elsewhere including an emergency root canal on a specific tooth , that i had seen dr Gottlieb several times about due to pain. 2 top teeth had pain and i could not floss between them due to the filling bridging across the teeth, another also had to be redone due to there being a bubble air pocket in the ceramic filling. Nothing can be proved, and i did sign a wavier. However if you are in a pinch this dentistry has a shorter lead time for emergency care.

Fantastic experience: My name is Bill and I have been seeing Dr. Gottlieb since 1991. He and his staff are the best. Today, I went for a cleaning and some other things. I drove 321 miles and 9 1/2 hours round trip. I'd drive 500 miles if I had to. His practice is the best.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this practice to anyone but the dental hygienists were very kind. Every crown put in my mouth (3) has since fallen out in less than a year. Fillings all being redone due to sharp edges left from Gottlieb. And don't try to reason with them because nothing is their fault. Not worth the time, effort or money.

Fantastic experience: Let me say first that the dentist terrifies me, has since I was a kid. Thank God for Dr. Todd. I just had to have a wisdom tooth extracted and I don't know how I would have made it through the experience if not for how incredibly helpful, kind, and professional he and his team are.

Fantastic experience: First time ever going to this place and it was very clean and the staff was very nice! I decided to try this dentist out because of the great reviews and this office did not disappoint!

Negative experience: Went there today after a tooth cracked. He had done Crowns for me in the past. I originally went for braces but Dr. Gotlieb said Crowns were better and we'd be done with no retainers. I took his suggestion. Two turned into six, the top are beautiful, the bottom not so much.There were problems with them from the lab, and he did work to correct it. 2 yrs later the Crowns are twisting. Back to today I am allergic to Lidocane and filled out the paperwork and even put stars to let him know. Always running from room to room, he didnt look at the chart and gave me lidocaine and I immediately had a reaction of wanting to pass out and throw up . He said it was the epinephrine and walked out to another patient leaving me alone and scared. I Had to have an eppi pen at another Dr. (Not Deniist) who gave me lidocaine 2xs before. I know what Im allergic to. Next thing, a girl comes in and says $1800.00 for a new crown. I said he didn't even look in my mouth, he just numbed me. She said he will be back, but you have to sign this plan. I said he didn't even talk to me. She said, he will but sign this first. I got up and walked out, mouth still numb. That was crazy. I didn't deserve to be treated that way and don't understand why everyone was so unkind.

Fantastic experience: What an incredible place. Fillings and a wisdom tooth extraction and i felt NOTHING! Not even the needles... I didn't believe him when he said "You're all done!." Every last one of the staff was approachable, friendly, and funny. I had so many questions and was so nervous! All my questions were answered and they kept the mood light and comfy. Best part, no pain afterwards either!! Highly, highly recommend!!

Negative experience: Worst place I’ve ever been rude staff every time u go staff is different major red flag over charge once they exhaust ur ins they r pretty much done w/u I’ve gone w/o insurance and I have 2 for months lived w/ pain because I know I would get turned away my last visit tooth fell out which seems to happen often and it was glued back seconds late tooth fell out no other alternatives were givin to me at the time of visit cause my ins was exhausted which was the first thing said to me felt like no one cared enough to help me

Prior to seeing Dr. Gottlieb, I saw other dentists. I saw pictures of their previous work but was super impressed by Dr. Gottlieb. He’s also super professional and doesn’t stop at pleasing his patients. He takes pride in his work and keeps working until it’s perfect in his professional eyes. Fantastic experience: Dr Gottlieb is the best dentist that has ever treated me in 63 years. He explains what he’s doing along the way and is actually a very funny guy. I had a bad toothache on a tooth that had an older crown. After X-rays I was told I needed a root canal on a molar. This procedure was totally pain free. I barely felt the injections to numb my mouth! The procedure took about an hour and I truly didn’t feel a thing. 2 weeks later I had the new crown cemented in and I’m good as new. The staff here is exceptional and willing to help with everything. I highly recommend Dr Gottlieb to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Anyone of my friends and family know that I have had the most intense fear of going to the dentist. I couldn’t even think about it without literally having nightmares about it. I glued a crown back in for five years because I was afraid to go to the dentist! Well, I started having a toothache so I HAD to go somewhere. I had been bringing my 2 teen sons here and they were very pleased with everyone here. I made the appointment and I was petrified! I had a root canal and an implant done within the last six months and Dr.Gottlieb has not hurt me at all! He and everyone there have been very supportive, listened to every concern I had, listened to my fears, and treated me as if I were family. They are the most gentle,loving, friendly, and funny group! Today I went for my final step of my implant..I wasn’t afraid one bit..I even had my teeth cleaned for the first time in 25 years and Jordan was amazing! I’m so happy I have found a place to save and keep up with my smile and I highly recommend Franklinville family dentistry!

Negative experience: Informative and thorough staff. A+ Update: They overcharged me significantly. I called to contest. They didn't budge. I had an advocate call from my insurance company and they eventually cut me a refund check. Not only did they overcharge me, but they also requested a cash payment twice even though my insurance still had funds available to cover the cost. Watch their billing department!

Both him and his staff explained what the procedure would be like, showed me the X-rays and made me as comfortable as possible. I can't thank him enough for providing me relief from tooth pain!! Negative experience: I Swore by this place years ago and today I dont have the same feeling. Sadly its falling apart here and the employees turnover shows it. Fast paced experience but results also show need to slow down. One issue always leads to a major repair and Hundreds of dollars later I almost always end up w a failed rootcanal!

Specifically at easing patient anxiety during critical procedures, and although I had complete trust in his work and expertise, he still shared funny jokes and reassured positive feedback throughout the entire procedure to ease the mind. Dr. Gottlieb performed a root canal on me, a more critical procedure I never had before. Dr.Gottlieb still contacted me after hours checking in to see if I was feeling okay after the procedure. Fantastic experience: Needed a new dentist that accepted my new insurance. Franklinville Family & Cosmetic Dentistry was recommended to me by a friend who has been a patient of Dr. Gottlieb for years. I called to make an appointment on Wednesday and the scheduler I spoke with could not have been sweeter. She scheduled me for that upcoming Monday. When I arrived, I checked in and with 3 minutes my hygienist, Jordan, came out to get me. Jordan took x-rays and cleaned my teeth. She throughly explained some things to me and answered all my questions. It was quick and painless which is exactly what you want when you go to the dentist. Dr. Gottlieb came in within 5 minutes of Jordan finishing up with me. He was very friendly, professional and thorough. It was probably the best experience I ever had at the dentist. I highly recommend them!!!

Negative experience: They billing team misled me thinking that I paid in full during my first visit then a month later they send me another bill. When I came to the office, I told them it will be cash because my insurance was not going to pay since recently my tooth was fixed by another doctor. They still took my insurance information making me believe that they were still going to recover money. Well, they just charged higher rates and still send me an additional bill.

Fantastic experience: Due to COVID, there are certain rules to waiting to be called. If the waiting room was too full, you would have to wait outside to be called but thankfully it wasn't packed. I was in and out of the facility. They do great quality work!
