Negative experience: I’ve been going to Taheri’s Dental Group for many years, but since the management changed, the scheduling has become very frustrating. Appointments get moved without proper notice, and sometimes the receptionists act like the original booking never existed….even though it’s clearly on my calendar! Dr. Bruce Taheri has always been great and is one of the best dentists I’ve had. Unfortunately, with the current management and the repeated scheduling issues, I’ve decided not to go back. This has happened several times and I’ve tried to be patient, but it keeps happening.

Dr. Patel communicates clearly, explains the “why” behind what he’s doing, and lays out a straightforward treatment plan. The staff, from the front office to the hygienist, is warm, efficient, and professional.

Fantastic experience: Been going to this dental practice for around 15 years. Besides the usual two a year cleanings, I’ve gotten Invisalign’s, eight top front veneers and a crown done here. All of those procedures have been outstanding and I have a better smile than ever before. Most of it came out of pocket, but to be expected for cosmetic procedures. My veneers look natural and not big and fake looking like some do. Dr. Taheri has always been honest with me and recommended procedures with no pressure. Even when I didn’t have dental insurance in the beginning, I was always looked after as a loyal patient. Would totally recommend Dr. Taheri’s practice. Very nice people with a ton of knowledge. I never felt rushed and he is always appreciative of my questions and concerns regarding my teeth.

It moved a little and had to be removed. Doctor T went way out of his was to regrown the tooth instead of performing a root canal. Saved me a lot of pain and money. I will continue to patronize this office.

Negative experience: The techician, Jennifer, was great and explained everything to me in detail. I was not impressed with Dr. K. She was rushed and only did a visual exam of my teeth. I have had oral cancer under my tongue and she didn't look under my tongue. She never put a hand in my mouth. I also asked about cosmetic dentistry and she did not provide any details or even ask which teeth I am considering. Overall, it was a very rushed experience and I did not get a full dental examination as a new patient. The front desk staff are very helpful it was easy to book an appointment, which is a shame because I won't be going back.

Fantastic experience: I think I found a keeper. Doctor Patel was most kind and compassionate and explained everything to me. His assistant Julissa was equally professional and worked well with Dr. Patel. My next appointment will be soon!

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment on Thursday the 8th of August @ 11:30am and when I walked into the office there were 10 people waiting. I’ve never seen it so busy !!!! At 11:50 the receptionist called me to the window and asked if I could come back tomorrow at 11am because they were so backed up. I said sure and I understood because of the transition taking place. Friday was excellent. I had my routine checkup with Jennifer and my yearly X-rays and she was excellent along with Dr. K whom also looked in on me !!!! I will still say that this dentist office is the best in Northern Virginia !!!♥️

She was very thorough in the cleaning. She showed me all the problems going on in my mouth. The dentist was very cordial and professional. He told me what was going on and the approach he would take to fix the problems. Overall I had a very good experience at Taheri Dental Group.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff! Xrays, exam and cleaning performed without incident and done quite well. Less than an hour so the procedures were done quickly and professionally....and did I mention all were very friendly? Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I’ve been coming to this dentist office for a while, but today was the final straw. I walked in for my 11:00 AM appointment at exactly 10:57. I checked in at the front desk, but the woman mumbled something I couldn’t hear, so I politely asked her to repeat herself. She said she was marking me as present, so I sat down in the waiting area. Thirty minutes passed. Then an hour. Everyone who came in after me was seen before me. I was the only one still waiting, completely confused. When I finally went back to the front desk to ask if I got the appointment time wrong, the same woman asked if I had even checked in. I was stunned—I had clearly checked in with her and even had to repeat my name when I arrived. At that point, I was told the orthodontist had already left, and while I could still get my braces tightened, I’d have to come back another time for the rest of my care. My time was completely wasted, and I felt ignored and neglected. What made it worse was overhearing the front desk staff say I never signed in—when I absolutely did. I even asked the dental assistant why that was being said, and they admitted the front desk lady was just trying not to get in trouble. The lack of accountability and professionalism is shocking. I’ve put up with rude and dismissive treatment from the front desk here for too long. Every time I come in, I’m met with attitude and no basic courtesy. Today, it genuinely felt personal—and yes, it made me wonder if racism was at play. I deserve to be treated with respect, especially as a long-time patient. This was unacceptable.

Negative experience: Very unhappy with this office. I made an appointment and discussed what needed to be done. They decided to do all of the work in one visit which consisted of fillings and a cleaning. I show up and they check my blood pressure. Quite frankly, that is a first for me. My blood pressure was elevated...which always happens when I go to any doctor. They refused to do my dental procedures noting that I must need BP medicine. I'm sorry, you're a dentist...you are NOT my REGULAR DOCTOR, who I pay to worry about my health, who says my BP is fine. So now, I must yet again, find a dentist who actually wants to do dental work and not pretend to be my Medical Doctor. I've wasted 2 visits at this practice to get nothing done. I am extremely frustrated!! PS. The wrist BP cuffs are a joke; any doctor will tell you that; they are absolutely inaccurate. So, beware if you have white coat syndrome because they won't do anything for you. An absolute waste of my time.

Fantastic experience: Dr.B let’s start with him, Absolutely awesome and easy going! Puts patient first, With making sure your comfortable and pain free. 3 appointments back to back 3 days in a row. Over 10+ fillings and on a great start to journey of better teeth. This office has the kindest staff and all are very sweet to talk to! Everyone is well knowledgeable about what they are doing and this is hands down the best office I have been into! Small, But doing big things! I may not be done with my appointments but I have already walked out with better smile!

Fantastic experience: Both my husband and I came in for routine cleanings yesterday. We found that Dr. Chohan is very thorough, gentle and caring in her check up and cleaning. She offered several possible options for future treatment which we both will need. We were able to decide on a treatment plan that will suit each of us. We found everyone in the office to be especially nice and caring. Her assistant Amy polished our teeth very efficiently and thoroughly.

Positive experience: I would give five stars overall except that the staff at the front desk was rude and abrupt! The other negative item was that the equipment in the room I was in was in need of repair: the patient seat had a ripped plastic cover and the over head Light was cracked and pieces of the light cover were missing. My experience with the hygienist and Dr. Chohan was wonderful, she is confident in her knowledge and Compassionate and she is so gentle!

Fantastic experience: I hated to go to the dentist. I only went when it was absolutely necessary for me to go. So I didn’t go to the dentist that often but it came a point where I had to take my teeth more seriously Dr.Toor and staff put me ease with being very professional taking my concerns into consideration. Now I go every six months if you’re looking for a good dentist or office to go to and you’re kind of a frayed, they are real good at making you feel comfortable.

Fantastic experience: I’d been looking for a new family dentist for a while, and Taheri Dental Group came highly recommended. Needing a new bridge, I made my first appointment. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly and professional, and the first appointment went very well. They did all the prep work for my bridge. The second appointment also went great, and now I have a good looking smile again.
