Negative experience: Every month they make a bunch of my family members take out one tooth at least per visit, do not recommend if you don't enjoy your teeth getting pulled out every visit

Negative experience: I scheduled an appointment for pediatric dental care. After the visit was completed, the doctor gave us a referral to a pediatric dentist, which is when we realized that the provider we saw was not actually a pediatric dentist. We were not informed of this beforehand and were forced to book a new appointment at another practice. This was an extremely poor and terrible experience.

Negative experience: Dr Zeno is no longer with the practice. The billing department can't handle basic cleaning procedures in properly filing the paperwork, putting you on the hook for the full bill, even after numerous attempts to correct the issue.

Negative experience: I took my kids to the Arlington Heights location. We were first seen as new patients by a female doctor who left the practice by the time we came back for treatment. So this new male doctor we met for the first time in our first treatment appointment seemed nice at first. My 9 year old daughter had 3 cavities. He did the first one on the first day of treatment. My daughter was afraid but we explained to her what is going on and she was ok, cooperating. Got a shot, got her filling done. Next week we came back to fix the other 2 cavities that were on 2 different molars but next to each other. She already knew what to expect so I though it was gonna be easy. She got the shot and then the doctor started working on her cavities. Completely different experience. She was in so much pain. The last time the shot worked and it was easy, this time it hurt her so bad. I asked for more anesthesia which he gave her. Still didnt work. It hurt her bad and it was obvious. The doctor didnt care much and since she didn't want to open her mouth and was crying he started being rude and left the room. Looks like the doctors move between patients pretty fast and they can't afford delays like this. I saw he went in another room and worked on someone else and then when he came into our room he was still not in good spirits. I did my best with my 9 year old but the pain wasn't something I can just talk her out of. So she was still crying, but did open her mouth, and he kept working on her even thru pain. When he was done cleaning the decay, the doctor said he is gonna put temporary filling and we have to go somewhere else. Excuse me?! We are talking about a 9 year old who was just fine with you working the previous week and now she is in pain and probably scared of dentists for the rest of her life, most likely due to you not being able to administer the anesthesia properly, and you are sending us somewhere else to put the fillings in?! At that point he was done with the most painful part, but you could tell he didn't have patience anymore. If that's how you are, how about stick with adults? Kids will cry and be more difficult. Yes, my 9 year old cried and didn't want to open her mouth because of pain! A week before she didn't do that (when the anesthesia worked)!!! Maybe instead of getting all annoyed you do a better job with the anesthesia? I wonder if it was a special needs child or some other child throwing fits what would you have done, doctor? My girl was crying softly and wasn't loud. She was just in pain because of you!!! So I told him it's not acceptable and he eventually filled her cavities and we were out of there for ever. I keep getting emails to schedule next appointments... forget it. As a practice, maybe vet your doctors better next time when you bring a new one in! And maybe, just maybe, if the doctors didnt have to rush so much between patients, maybe they would be nicer to the next 9 year old who despite being given anesthesia feels everything...

Fantastic experience: Everyone was wonderful, from the reception staff to the dental assistants and the dentist. I brought my young daughter in for her first dental visit, and it was such a positive experience for her. She did have a little discomfort during the X-rays, but the staff were gentle, patient, and considerate throughout the process. On our way out, we asked if she could have a sticker, and the receptionist kindly gave her one, even though my daughter was too shy to ask herself. The entire team made us feel welcome and cared for. We truly appreciated their kindness and would highly recommend this office!

Fantastic experience: I live about 1.5 hours away from this office but the way the staff treats my kids especially one that’s special needs is remarkable and worth the drive. From the receptionist being so kind and patient to the dentist assistance being gentle to then my kids doctor being kind, quick, and my kids love her and eager to see her. Thank you all for being so kind to my kids.

Negative experience: I didn’t have a good experience. The front desk was nice and professional. The dental assistant was not nice and she was asking me personal questions. That made me feel uncomfortable. Then she was yelling though the office “ oh you have an infection on the other side too” and she was telling me to bite down for a xray when I told her that I was in pain. I didn’t receive any pain medicine only antibiotics. I canceled my appointment for the extraction because I didn’t know if I was going to get pain medication or not the dentist was rude as well.

He did a great job!! He even shaped my tooth to match the rest of my smile. Overall, very happy with my results

Fantastic experience: My experience was awesome, ALL staff was respectful, attentive, and cared about my health overall. They were very knowledgeable on my questions. I felt like we weren't strangers. I will definately recommend their services to anyone whose in need of a professional dental office. I have a lot more positive things to say but I won't bore you. Fantastic experience: I got all four of my wisdom teeth extracted….TODAY! I feel perfectly fine and I love how they made me feel comfortable prior to starting. I was soooo nervous!! They made me laugh and answered any questions I had, assuring me I was safe. Thank you to the team and Dr. Alejandro Valladares for helping me stay relaxed. I believe the whole process was less than an hour long. I went in and probably stayed sitting in the waiting room for a few seconds. They took me back right away. The process was too quick to have any anxiety haha! I’m glad this process is over with and can stop worrying about it!

Negative experience: if I could give no stars I would. I went in to get a tooth extracted. soon as they see I have Cigna insurance the dentist stat saying all this stuff about seeing a specialist root canal etc.. then saying oh I need a deep cleaning even though I just got my teeth cleaned in August of 25 then scheduled me appointments every week during work hours which I said I work so I need to come after work if possible nope ok now I literally had appointments from January to mid march Right! you just to run my insurance up and never do what I originally went in for which is to extract my tooth. if you have public aid with no job this is the place for you .. but if you work and pay your insurance.. not the place .. the dentist she's money hungry and don't care she overbooked herself when I had questions about the service she got and attitude I let her clean half of my mouth eventho I felt awkward kept saying we need you to sign this.but it's ok I called my insurance let them know what happened and filed a complaint.

Fantastic experience: The practice is simply exceptional. From the front desk to the hygienist, doctor and the other staff in the practice, they treat you like family. They really imbibe the name of the practice "FAMILY". I will recommend this practice any day and at anytime.

Positive experience: Everyone is nice and friendly! Wish the waiting room wasn’t freezing

Negative experience: I had a 1pm consultation and was still waiting at 2:30 p.m when I had to go back to work so I rescheduled and returned a week later. When I arrived for my oral surgery I was getting prepped by the nurse, I asked the surgeon, Dr Alex, to explain the risks of my procedure, that I had to sign a release for with the receptionist. He said verbatim "I just pull teeth" he then said "I don't feel like doing your surgery" This place is the drive through McDonald's of dental offices.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff! My kid recently had to switch dentists. I’m so glad I found this place. My son was so happy after his cleaning. He wouldn’t stop smiling! He liked it so much. Says they are more gentle than his previous dentist.

Negative experience: They lied to me twice, costing me two days of PTO. On 11/24, the front desk assured me they would do a dental screening for my insurance, followed by deep cleaning and fillings. Instead, they only did a consultation, leaving me unable to submit anything to my insurance. The dentist and I then scheduled fillings for 12/30 to prevent further damage. At my second visit, they had me down for another screening and wanted to push fillings to January. When I explained this was incorrect and unnecessary, the front desk dismissed me and said I’d have to reschedule. I walked out.

Negative experience: This is the worst All Family ever. If you have a chance do not go here!!!! It’s not worth the headache. The dentist and assistant was great. It’s the front desk staff. They need to be retrained. And I’ve really been thinking about suing them. DO NOT LET FAVIOLA OR FABIOLA HOWEVER YOU SPELL IT RUN YOUR PAYMENT. SHE RAN MY PAYMENT A SECOND TIME WITHOUT MY CONSENT AND I HAD TO MAKE A CLAIM WITH MY BANK. I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH THE OFFICE MANAGER AND PROVIDED THEM WITH SCREENSHOTS. I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. ITS IS NOW 2 months later, and after being charged a second time without my consent because she claimed they didn’t get the first payment. They are now saying I owe them more money. A pure scam of an office I will be filing a claim with the eeoc.

Fantastic experience: Ive been going here for a few years now, ran by lovely woman and nice men (i think there some men who work there), and they are funny too, also they do a great job with fillings and great root canal referrals ive never had a problem, …*update after 2 years, im 26 now and still the best dentist ever,

Fantastic experience: I came as a new patient with my children to this place a few months back AND I must say, I couldn't be happier ☺️ we were treated amazingly wonderful from the initial appointment setting to the our first visit ❤️ and continued service. Everyone from receptionist to our fabulous dentist Dr. Hani Zeno have been nothing less than absolutely amazing, professional, very kind and attentive to our needs and for someone who panics with needles ...I have not felt pain once when I've been taken care of. I've had a Deep cleaning and root canal done so far its been best experience EVER! My kids cleanings and some cavity fillings! Their pediatric location is also amazing! My kids felt so comfortable no panic momenta at all! So worth staying with. We found our forever home right here. Thank you all for treating us like family. Truly makes a difference.

Fantastic experience: I was nervous about extractions with only novacaine..it was a great experience!! My mom who was in the waiting room figured everything was ok since she didn't hear any screaming!! Dr.Alejandro was so kind!

Negative experience: Here’s the deal, I waited six months to get surgery. This front desk lady named Michelle, promised me she would call me when Insurance approved it. She never called me when Insurance approved it, and Now on top of it, I had four wisdom teeth removed and an extracted tooth and they are saying their e-file is down so I’m unable to have any pain medication. Michelle promised me on Wednesday, that she showed the doctor my tooth and he would be following up with me. Come Friday morning, nobody followed up with me. When I talked to someone else in the office, they let me know that she never showed anyone anything! I ended up having to go to the emergency room. I have drove to Arlington Heights twice in a row, and was promised that they were letting the doctor know about my infection and they never showed him anything. Luckily the doctor was very sweet, and got me in on his own time to make sure I was taken care of. This lady Michelle at the front desk, not only put me on hold and then hung up on me, but then proceeded to not answer the phone when I called multiple times. Clearly this woman needs to be fired. I’m not sure if it’s discrimination, but the doctor was absolutely sweet. I feel discriminated against either because of my race, or because I’m on state aid. Imagine having a hole like this in your face, and not given any medication or even a call back. Update: took a hospital visit, two drives to Arlington Heights, another dentist in Rockford, and then he had me go to his Elgin office. Still had bone fragment in my face, even though I was told there was no bone fragment in the x-ray…

Negative experience: The oral surgeon at this facility is awful. I came in for a consultation regarding my wisdom teeth extraction and he was the most dismissive person I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Firstly, he didn't even step foot into the room to speak with me. He stayed leaned up against the doorframe the entire time. He was snippy and obviously more concerned with going home for the evening than answering my questions and addressing any concerns. He only spoke to me for a total of 6 minutes. Second, I informed him that I was experiencing intense pain (visibly swollen cheeks and jaw, difficulty opening my mouth fully). I also had bad breath and one of teeth was cracked. He brushed it all off as "typical impacted wisdom teeth discomfort". That is not typical. Third, I had been to the ER not long before my visit because the pain was so terrible. I made it clear to him that happened and that my pain was not only a 9/10 but also getting worse by the day and he did not care. He just prescribed ibuprofen and acetaminophen even though I told him that those prescriptions did not work before (was prescribed them by a different dentist before him). Fourth, I needed to be seen earlier than the 2 month appointment time. There was no way there wasn't an infection in my mouth at that point so the teeth being removed sooner rather than later was a must. I asked reception to put me on a cancellation list and they said they would. I called back in a week to see if any cancellations had been made and they said yes. I asked why they didn't call me and they said I was never put on their cancellation list. Reception also gave me the run around with my insurance. Fed up, I went to Aspen Dental where my situation was actually taken seriously. It was discovered that I, indeed, had an infection and an abscess forming so my surgery was promptly scheduled for the next day. The surgeon there was shocked by the previous surgeon's behavior. I had to pay out of pocket at Aspen but it was worth it. The oral surgeon at AFD seems to assume that all of his wisdom teeth patients over exaggerate about their discomfort. I am aware that impacted wisdom teeth is painful no matter who you are and that acetaminophen /ibuprofen prescriptions help most but to blatantly dismiss a patient like he did to me even though my case was obviously severe is downright unacceptable and unprofessional... I certainly didn't expect to be prescribed a narcotic or anything but perhaps I could have gotten the antibiotic(s) I needed had he actually listened to me. Don't waste your time getting your wisdom teeth removed here.

Fantastic experience: I have massive anxiety with dentists and doctors… and the staff here is compassionate, caring and extremely patient with me. they help keep my anxiety, low and help me get through my dental cleaning visits. Thank you so much for taking good care of me.

Negative experience: Had 4 wisdom teeth extracted over a year ago and I still have no feeling in my bottom jaw. When I called a couple weeks after my appointment to tell them the numbness isn’t subsiding, the Dr asked if it was my lower right side that was numb and I said yes. He said he remembers my roots being extremely long on that side which indicates he was aware before I even said anything. X rays were done so instead of him going forward and risking permanent nerve damage which I now have. Long wisdom tooth roots can make removal more complicated and increase the risk of complications like nerve damage so a coronectomy should’ve been performed. Because of his negligence I’m left with permanent nerve damage. I’d give zero stars if I could.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic office. I’ve had the same dentist for 25 years, but I needed an oral surgeon for an extraction. They made everything very simple, smooth and easy. Everyone was incredibly friendly, professional and positive. I highly recommend this practice for a pleasant experience. Both visits were flawless and quick.

Negative experience: I would give zero stars if I could. I scheduled an appointment for my daughter at All Family Dental and Braces in Arlington Heights over a month ago after receiving a referral. We drove an hour to get there, only to be told once we arrived that they couldn’t even see her because of the referral details. When I asked if they could at least take a quick look to see if she needed treatment, they refused. This appointment wasted half my day and caused my daughter to miss a full day of school for absolutely nothing. If they were not able to accept the referral, they should have reviewed it and notified us well before the appointment date. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of consideration for patients’ time is unacceptable. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this office.

Negative experience: Avoid! They don’t use licensed hygienists. They double booked us for a 6-mo. cleaning appointment and put us with a woman who wasn’t a licensed hygienist and didn’t know what she was doing. She was juggling the cleaning instrument and the suction in one hand, making frustrated facial expressions. It wasn’t a real cleaning, she just polished the teeth a little. Whole thing took like 10 minutes. My daughter was having a hard time because this employee didn’t know what she was doing and was rough. When the employee started slamming the floss into between my daughter’s teeth, my daughter started crying. We left. Such a bad place. Don’t subject your kids to this place.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with Dr. Cincione for my ortho consultation, looking forward to my treatment.

Negative experience: Last year my son was a patient at another location of this clinic, and everything was fine. Since we moved to Arlington Heights this year, I needed a dental school exam for my son. About two weeks ago I called this location to schedule an appointment. During the call, the representative told me the cost would be $160. However, when we arrived this Monday, the receptionist informed me the price was actually $460 . She only apologized and did nothing else to resolve the issue. We left and went to another clinic, where we completed the exam for $170. This was the worst experience I have had with a dental clinic. I strongly dislike being misled, and I will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful Experience! Dr. Zeno was fast, professional, and did an amazing job with my child. The visit was quick but thorough, and everything was explained clearly. My child felt comfortable the entire time, and we were in and out without any stress. It’s hard to find a dentist who works efficiently while still being gentle and attentive—and Dr. Zeno absolutely delivered. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My 5 year old son was nervous going into the appointment but both the hygienist and Dr. Zeno helped him feel calm and worked with him throughout the whole process. The dentist thoroughly explained a treatment plan for him and we left feeling happy all around. Thank you!

Negative experience: Trying to get in contact with this office is horrible you sit on hold for 30 minutes and finally when someone answers its a lady that is “not in office” so she can’t help me. WHY did u answer the phone then?! I was told each time(5x) I called that someone will call me back and nobody ever called me. I had to call again and wait on hold all over again. Then I expressed my concern with the receptionist that I never get called back she said she’ll let a manager know of this issue. Now I finally have an appt booked. On my way out the receptionists gives me a reminder card of my appt. It says the 10th. Few weeks later I get a text message that says “confirm your appt. on the 8th”. Now once again I have to call and wait on hold for help. Finally a lady answers and once again she is “not in office”, so she can’t help me and also since it’s lunch time in the office nobody can help for an hour. They will “call me back”. I say again how I’ve been told that before and they never call me and again she says “we will let a manager know”. I doubt they will at all. They never called me back AGAIN I have enough anxiety about having to get my wisdom teeth surgically removed because of the possibility of nerve damage. Having to do all of this just to get in contact with this office makes it all worse. I will be canceling my appointment completely and going to a new office. Thank you for wasting my time. Update they just called me back 3 days later!! They weren’t even aware I had already canceled all future appointments. Seriously get your communication together.

Fantastic experience: I have an 8 year old son who has Down Syndrome and is also autistic. The first time I took him to a dentist for an exam and cleaning it didn’t go well at all and we were referred to the Arlington Heights location. The staff was very welcoming and although they were very busy we still were seen on time. I explained to the hygienist that he most likely will not cooperate, but to my surprise he actually did amazing! I guess it just takes the right person to work with children who have special needs! I think the one who was worried was me! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Had 2 cavities filled today. Fantastic experience !!! Dr. Milrud did such a great job, and was FAST !!! She has such a great personality, and very professional, as well. Made the visit to get dental work smooth and easy !! Her Assistant, Jessica, was an absolute professional, as well, and an extremely nice person to deal with !!! The front Staff is SO warm and friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!!!!!

The doctors are not only highly skilled but also genuinely kind and attentive. I’m grateful to have found such a wonderful dental office. Negative experience: Calls you a day before your scheduled surgery to tell you insurance somehow doesn't cover the exact same operations you're having done on your other 3 wisdom teeth, but on just one tooth. And expect me to pay 450 out of pocket. They're professional scammers, I called my insurance, and turns out they never requested any authorization other than sedation which was indeed covered. Dr. Frank Sutherland was also a lazy, unmotivated, needs to be retired guy, who only came in for maybe 15 seconds and walked right back out. I'm already out my copay on the medication they told me I needed, and now I'm stuck with no surgery either. Take your time and money literally ANYWHERE else. Id rather pay 4k out of pocket than to go into this third world office ever again. They don't even have separate rooms for operations, everyone's just lined up like a damn barbershop. THEY ARE A JOKE!

Negative experience: The reviews that have 5 stars are from the staff so the google reviews are rigged. The only real reviews are the low starred ones because they actually talk about their REAL experience. Don’t book your appointment at this place unless you want to waste your time and money.

Fantastic experience: I took my toddler here for her first dentist appointment, and the experience was great! The staff was very patient and gentle with her, making sure she felt comfortable throughout the visit. Although she only had a cleaning and checkup, it was overall a positive and reassuring experience. I would absolutely recommend this dentistry to any parent with young children.

Negative experience: Beware! I had a consultation done here. I am a Medicaid patient. This means my coverage is . They wanted to charge me 2,000 to extract one tooth. No way! What a joke! I turned them into Medicaid and they are now under investigation. Be wise don’t go here! It is true the Dr. has no bedside manner. He didn’t even come into the room to introduce himself for the consultation. He stood at the door frame. The girls did all the work.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would to the oral surgeon - Frank Sutherland. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. Definitely needs to be updated on HIPAA laws. When we arrived for my son’s wisdom teeth surgery a private and personal medical situation arose for my son. Sutherland yelled at my son and then came into the full lobby screaming at me and then proceeded to announce very private concerns regarding my son. I was so upset and embarrassed. I’ve never any Doctor in my life be so unprofessional, angry, mean… and break medical laws. Aside I have gotten two other opinions regarding my son’s wisdom teeth and they are completely different from what Sutherland would have done. A blessing in disguise! How this man can practice is beyond me. (The staff was very kind otherwise, especially Diane… I feel bad that she has to deal with this type of behavior.)

Negative experience: I do NOT trust the staff here. At my consultation I got the vibe that the doctor didn't care about anything I was saying, but whatever as long as he can get the job done, right? They told me I could be fully sedated for a procedure as long as I brought someone to drive me, I said okay, so me and my mother both took off work. Got there and the receptionist told me I could not be sedated because they didn't request that authorization from my insurance. I was annoyed and went back and forth with her about why, then she was basically like "I'm not sure what happened, but it only says you're approved for general anesthesia." GENERAL ANESTHESIA IS SEDATION. She was confusing general with local anesthesia, and if your staff is that poorly trained in a medical office, that is a problem. I walked out, ended up paying out of pocket at a much better, more professional office.

Negative experience: The oral surgeon didn’t even see us for 2 minutes before doing us to go somewhere else for the surgery . Not all the staff was bad, but was impatient and rude. I wouldn’t come here again. Waited 1hr to see the surgeon only to be told to go somewhere else .

Fantastic experience: Definitely recommend wasn't able to do a procedure because of insurance approval but everything else was great and hope to be back and get it done thanks to the hole staff busy and gave us the attention you expect thanks

Negative experience: If I could give no stars I would, but it would be in anyone’s best interest not to come here for any type of dental work. I came here as a new patient for oral surgery in which I provided all medications, medical conditions and my PCPs information. There was several back and forth issues with the insurance getting approval for 3 teeth to be extracted under sedation that was finally approved and we were going to move forward with the procedure on 11/15 at 11am in which two of my family members brought me and one had to take off work and I as well had to take off work I did all the prep the night before and day of as instructed and I suffer from extreme dry mouth due to medications and I couldn’t drink water just enough to take my daily medication and once I’m back in the room in the chair the oral surgeon Dr. Frank Sutherland stands in the doorway and tells me he’s not doing the surgery because an injection I take every 3 months interacts with the ketamine they use for sedation which is an untrue statement no medication I’m on interacts with ketamine. I’ve had 3 procedures in the past where I was under sedation while being on the same medications with no issues and Propofol was used. I signed the consent for treatment and anesthesia for 3 teeth to be extracted that are broken and causing me pain and infection and he yelled at me in the doorway didn’t ever come in to talk to me and said he wasn’t doing the surgery because I might not wake up because of the interaction and again there is and hasn’t been any interaction documented for this medication and any type of sedation. He didn’t call my PCP to speak about the medications if there was a concern they had all this information for over a month and a half and didn’t reach out in anyway they waited till the day of and took me back and then told me no they aren’t doing the surgery extremely rude and they scam peoples insurance so they can get paid for something they didn’t do. I also saw it happen to another patient and they stated they were going to refer me to UIC in which I was already referred and they are booked up until August of 2025 which I can’t wait that long to have 3 molars removed that are causing issues to my quality of life. There is also no anesthesiologist on site to administer the right amount of medication via IV the office is outdated and no one seems to know what they’re doing. I recommend anyone thinking of going here or currently does go somewhere else because you will not get the right treatment and this oral surgeon also doesn’t provide the right aftercare he doesn’t provide any medication after surgery to alleviate pain only ibuprofen or Tylenol which if you’ve had teeth extracted before it’s a lot of pain for more than one day. This is the worse facility I have ever been to in my life and I will ensure that this dental facility is put on notice. They are rude and incompetent and overall do not care they just want their money whether it’s you paying out of pocket or insurance paying out. If you’ve had similar issues with this place do your due diligence and call your insurance and report them because they are negligent. Frank Sutherland doesn’t need to be an oral surgeon because if he or his nurses can’t call a patients PCP out of a concern of interaction and they look it up on Google and lie to you that’s not a decent surgeon or dental office that’s a poor one and whoever made it possible for this place to get 4.1 stars has a lack of knowledge regarding doctors. Frank Sutherland needs to retire after seeing other negative reviews about him and how he gets angry and frustrated with patients for coming in to have an issue resolved and he can’t do his job and gets mad and yells at a patient unacceptable on all accounts if you can’t do your job don’t advertise that you’re a surgeon if you can’t follow basic protocols as a surgeon.

Fantastic experience: They’re the best! Had a wisdom tooth pulled and it was so fast and literally the entire process was painLESS!! Freaking awesome! Never laughed so much at a dentist office, ALL FACTS!! they got a client for life.

Negative experience: Living nightmare. My child was there for a dental surgery and he was sedated from the neck down. Completely numb and unable to move. However he heard the staff discussing how lunch time was approaching and that they needed to hurry up and get the job done. They quickly sedated him and proceeded to take out all 4 wisdom teeth. He felt every single second of it and was unable to move a finger. He was calling crying his eyes out and they continued to proceed with the surgery until all 4 wisdom teeth were taken out. They rushed him to get off the bed and get walked out to the car because they wanted to go to lunch. Whole time my child was crying uncontrollably. When I asked to speak to the dentist who did the surgery they said they had already gone on Lunch break and couldn’t give me an answer as to why they didn’t verify that he was numb and why they would numb his body from. The neck down to keep him from moving it stead of numbing his mouth… it makes no sense. My child then went into a panic attack due to being sedated from the neck down and feeling every bit of the surgery and unable to move not one bit. The staff witnessed all of this and ignored us and refused to speak to me. He also has uncontrollable bleeding which led to us having to go to the ER immediately afterwards to stop the bleeding and get 7 stitches. A complete nightmare for my child.

Negative experience: I’m very disappointed with how my experience went here. I had my wisdom teeth taken out on August 29th here with Dr. Frank Sutherland. One day before my appointment I got a call from them saying I needed to pay $215 for the last 15 mins of anesthesia that my insurance did not cover. Mind you I had this appointment for over a month and got a call the day before. Now it’s the day of surgery, I was taken back to the room, the dental assistant was very short with me and a bit stern. I expressed to her that I was very nervous, being I’ve never been put under before, and she says ‘you’re fine’. No comfort or anything just ‘your fine’. Then Dr.sutherland walks in, doesn’t say a word to me. He grabs my arm and starts slapping it really hard to get a vein, and proceeded to poke me in 4 different spots without communicating anything with me or what he is doing. As he is doing this he is talking to his assistant and says ‘I had to call the ambulance to come pick her up because something went wrong with the procedure’ (talking about his patient before me). At this point I was freaking out and almost got up out of the chair, but proceeded on because I had been waiting months for this appointment. Then they put a disposable mask over my eyes so I couldn’t see anything and by the time I knew it I was knocked out. No communication at all about what he was doing or when he was doing the anesthesia. Now it’s after the surgery and about an hour later my fiancé tells me that they called him about 15 mins after I went in the back and told him I had to be sent away in an ambulance and that there were complications. He comes inside and they said it was a mistake and they meant to call someone else. Today I was looking at my voicemails and seen a voicemail from them stating that they are trying to reach the fiancé of Amy and that I had to be sent away in an ambulance due to complications with surgery and they need him to come inside immediately. I guess they called my phone first before they called his. The whole experience was honestly a mess and they treated me as if I wasn’t a human with feelings.

Negative experience: Disappointing and Discriminatory Treatment at All Family Dental & Braces: Arlington Heights I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment with my recent visit to All Family Dental & Braces: Arlington Heights. After waiting over two months for an appointment to have my wisdom tooth extracted, I was subjected to an experience that left me feeling discriminated against and mistreated. Three days before my scheduled appointment, I received a call from the office informing me that the procedure had been changed from local anesthesia to sedation. This change required approval from my insurance, which I was assured they would handle and update me on. However, I never received any follow-up communication. The day before my surgery, I had to call in myself, only to be informed that my insurance wouldn’t cover the sedation, and I would need to pay over $400 out of pocket. Given the short notice, I was unable to gather such a large sum. I expressed my concerns, especially since I was not given a choice in this abrupt change. The front desk manager, Diane, was understanding and offered a $200 discount, which I appreciated given the circumstances. I decided to proceed with the appointment, though I was already unsettled by the poor communication. On the day of the surgery, my experience only worsened. I was led to the back, where the dental assistant began preparing me for sedation without a single word of explanation. The dentist, Dr. Frank Sutherland, entered the room, also without acknowledging me. What followed was nothing short of alarming. The assistant placed a mouth mask over my eyes, which seemed odd, and then the dentist began to repeatedly stick needles into my arm with noticeable frustration. Despite being visibly distressed and in pain, I was given no explanation or comfort. After over more than 10 failed attempts to start the sedation, Dr. Sutherland abruptly left the room, leaving me confused and in pain. At this point, I had been stuck in both arms and my hand with needles. The assistant then informed me that the procedure could not proceed and that I would need to reschedule. When I asked for an explanation and requested to speak with the doctor, he returned and before I could ask a question, he shockingly yelled “just go somewhere else, I don’t need this” in a very harsh and dismissive manner. I was the only African American patient in the office, and I couldn’t help but feel that this mistreatment was due in part to my race and the fact that I was insured through state aid. The staff at the front desk, particularly Diane, were apologetic, but the damage was already done. This experience left me feeling unsafe, disrespected, and deeply hurt. I cannot, in good conscience, return to this office or recommend their services to anyone. It is my hope that this review brings awareness to the concerning behavior of Dr. Sutherland and the need for better communication, empathy, and respect in patient care. No one should have to endure the treatment I received, especially not in a place that is supposed to prioritize health and well-being. I will be contacting the BBB, the IDFPR to report Dr Sutherland and the team that stood in that room and allowed him to physically and verbally assault and disrespect me.

Fantastic experience: I just got all four of my wisdom teeth taken out there, I was very nervous when I came in I was I was reassured by the person at the front desk and the nurses, I started to laugh because when they were going to start they started to play music which helped me relaxed, they said it was time for the party and I started laughing, surgery went well but I know recovery is going to be painful

The ladies at the front desk are always friendly and helpful and are just the sweetest women, as are all of the staff! We LOVE All Family Dental & Braces!

Negative experience: Talked with the office 3 times prior to my appointment for extraction. Everything was set.. Took off work and 40 min before appointment rescheduled me for later in the day. Then called me 12 min later and tried rescheduling for a whole week later. I'd already been waiting for 2 weeks in pain. Communication and organization is garbage. Patient consideration is severely lacking.. very unprofessional. I went somewhere else. If your time is important, don't waste it here.

Negative experience: I'd avoid this place unless you have endless amount of time to sit waiting. They take payment at check in, therefore leaving's not really an option. Took an hour and half past appointment time to be called to the back..

Negative experience: We wish we would never have visited this place. My girlfriend is experiencing much pain from molar teeth. We had a visit in February 2024, and their new oral surgeon approved her for surgery. They said they needed to wait for insurance to approve. I called back 3/4, and 3/11 and was finally told that she is good to have her teeth pulled, and gave us a date of 3/26 for the extractions. We arrived for the appointment, and the same surgeon looked over her and said she now needs to be put asleep and said we need to come back. We got copies of the X-rays and will not return.
