Fantastic experience: Aug 2026 update: This place is absolutely fantastic Eric got his Dentures today and they look beautiful!! This facility is top-notch from the way that they communicate by text and phone call, receptionist, Laila is amazing and stays on top of communication and reminders.. Our dentist, Dr Jenkins has always been very professional, and has exceptional bedside manners (like a friend catching up vs Dentist). We appreciate the quality of the dentures that came back and in a timely manner. Great expressions Lehigh has the HomeTown feeling in a fast pace world... thanks for letting us write you into our story. ################ This dental facility is amazing! Today's appointment was "new patient" and xrays. Receptionist, Laila, greeted us with a warm smile and kept us informed of when we would be seen. Xray tech was very kind and had patience with us because we had a few other medical issues going on outside of today's appointment. Dr Perez was very thorough with her plan of action and willing to work with our other medical providers. We walked away today knowing in our hearts that we were treated as people and not patients. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: The professionals I had the pleasure of working with, from the nurses and doctors to including the people at the front desk, were not only very helpful in streamlining the process for someone as new and naive as me but also were absolute sweethearts as well. More importantly there was no smoke & mirrors nor any tricks as they thoroughly analyzed me and talked me through what's going on and how to solve it. Opening my eyes to issues I didn't even know I had and treating me not only as necessary but also as desired. Biggest surprise was the billing, not because it was rough but because even with that they helped work out a convenient affordable plan. 10/10 Experience, I hope I was just as helpful and convenient for them to work with <3.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful people, I went after not having gone to the dentist in many years and they were so kind with absolutely no judgment.

Negative experience: I put in an appt online for 5/29, they called saying they had NOTHING open until 6/15. Why the hell do they have appts online available but they don’t actually have them open? Thats honestly false advertising and really discouraging. Fix your online system or maybe honor appt dates set by your clients. Would not recommend or go here based on their inability to organize themselves. Im sure they’d do poorly if I had come for my appointment 3 weeks later.

Negative experience: I have an appointment at 8 AM in the morning. My tooth is hurting me so bad. It’s 3 PM right now. The doctor says she’s gonna fax my prescription at the pharmacy for me. I went to the pharmacy to pick the medicine. There’s no prescription At the pharmacy at the pharmacy, I called the doctors office. I spoke with the secretary. She asked the doctor she said she gonna send it. They still not sending the prescription. I left the pharmacy with no medication with my tooth pain unbelievable Wasting my time

Negative experience: Had an appointment for 2:00. Wasn't seen until 2:20, then after having my cleaning and x-rays done, I was told that the dentist would be in within a few minutes to put my fluoride on and go over my x-rays with me. Sat there for another 45 minutes waiting and when I asked when I was going to be seen, was just told that she had to do something else and would be only 5 more minutes. I spent over an hour of my time there for nothing and will not be a patient here any longer. They overbook and don't take other people's time into consideration especially when they have an appointment. Wouldn't recommend coming here unless you want to spend hours here and have nothing better to do with your time.

Positive experience: Good work on my teeth. They do make you wait a long time even after an appointment. The dentist and dental staff are very helpful and pleasant.

Negative experience: I scheduled an appointment with this office specifically for a wisdom tooth extraction. When I arrived, they confirmed the reason for my visit, yet I was made to wait over an hour—while in excruciating pain—only to be told that they do not perform extractions. Instead, they presented me with a treatment plan for unrelated procedures. This was extremely frustrating and insensitive, given my condition. To make matters worse, I was charged for a completely unnecessary X-ray. Had they informed me beforehand that they do not perform wisdom tooth extractions, I could have sought care elsewhere and avoided unnecessary pain, time, and expense. This experience felt unprofessional and misleading. Clear communication and transparency with patients are essential, especially when someone is in severe discomfort. I hope this office improves its intake process to prevent others from going through the same ordeal.

Negative experience: If I could I would give then a zero star. Two hours waiting to be attended after called in. Then be told I had to pay a ridiculous amount of money having a good dental insurance. When I walked in also heard another couple having a back and forth argument about the total out of pocket cost for their service also having insurance. I got there for cleaning and they came up with all other types of things to get done (up-sale) trying to make almost $9,000 out of pocket for their service. I left, waist of my time. (Oh they also tried to pull my credit without my concent, but thankfully I had my credit view status on block.)

Negative experience: Never make the mistake to visit this place. They try to charge for services you not need or not want. The personal is courteous and with good service but the dentist was very rude and never explained why you need specific procedure. They wanted for a simple teeth extraction almost $1200 apart of the insurance coverage. Never will return to this place.

Negative experience: I came in for an emergency tooth extraction due to the fact that I had broken it last night I didn't want a ton of x-rays taken I wanted that one Tuesday taken care of then they handed me a total for everything for $9,000 when I said I just needed that one tooth removed because it was broken the price went to 837 I walked out and told them to lose all of my records I have an appointment to see a dentist in Sunrise Florida tomorrow morning who's going to remove that tooth for less than $100 I will never walk into your facility again I paid my copay of $35 enjoy it you will never see another dime of my money also is it reasonable for someone to sit in your chair for 2 and 1/2 hours and not have a damn thing done except x-rays

Negative experience: Not pleased. Too much paperwork. They wanted to charge for XRays even though I brought images of my own. I consider this practice as predatory and deceptive as HIPPA mandates transferability. Stay away.I

Negative experience: Top 9 reasons not to make Great Expressions in Lehigh Acres, Fl your Dental provider. 1. The office in Lehigh provides no specialist . When I needed a root canal they referred me to a specialist in Ft Myers. When I arrived I found that the wrong tooth number had been noted on the referral and all paperwork and insurance approval had to be redone. 2. No matter how good your dental insurance coverage is for cleaning, this office will always require additional procedures requiring out of pocket costs to you?? When I questioned this practice I was told the Dentist could be held legally liable if not performed. This was a lie! You can simply sign a service refused document. 3. On another visit it was determined I needed a crown. I was provided with a work order showing that the crown was covered 100% by my insurance and I had a zero balance. The old tooth was ground down and they were in the process of fitting a temporary tooth when the Office Mgr came in and advised that a mistake had been made and there was no insurance coverage. I would not have had the crown installed then had I known that it was not covered under insurance. They refused any future service to me until the crown was paid for even though they were clearly at fault. Rather than sue, I paid the bill. 4. On 2 occasions, they called to cancel an appointment after I had already left home. 5. In Nov 25, I went in for my annual exam and x-rays. During this exam I was told that 2 teeth should be extracted and I probably needed gum surgery. 6. A few weeks later I was having pain in my upper gum and attempted to contact their office for a referral since they had no specialist. 7. When the pain worsened I left a phone message advising I was in pain and needed a specialist referral ASAP. 8.After no response to my phone messages (they seldom answered the phone) I sent 2 emails, 2 text messages, and a fax all to no response! They knew I was in pain and simply didn’t care enough to make a simple referral for me. Is this the kind of Dentist you want for yourself or your children?? 9. At that point I contacted a specialist myself and it was determined that I did need gum work done. After the specialist exam he advised that the 2 teeth that I was told by Lehigh Great Expressions needed pulled, only needed fillings. Another warning sign! As a retired Bank Executive I’m highly service oriented and Great Expressions Dental in Lehigh Acres, Fl does not come close to meeting my standards. I now have a new Dentist. I would not recommend this Dentist to anyone. This office has serious service, and I believe ethical issues. WARNING TO ALL!

Fantastic experience: Great experience. They graciously helped me on a short notice. All were very pleasant. Provided a full explanation of what I need with a printed plan. I'm only in the beginning stages of this journey but feel confident it will be a good one.

Negative experience: Office staff openly talks about you in spanish, there was no compassion nor explanation for anything. I went in for a cleaning (which is covered under my insurance) and was quoted $240!! Turned away without anything except some x-rays. Disappointed to say the least! I will be finding a new dentist.

Negative experience: Had a crown done and it's been hurting since day one. Cap fell off 3 times. Do not recommend them at all. Cancel any future appointments. They do not answer the phone and when messages are left they do not return calls. I understand Dr's are busy but there's no excuse not to answer a patients call. Very unprofessional. Will never go there again even though it is convenient because of proximity to my home. When no one was answering the phone I went to the office and the receptionist said that she was the only one working because of black Friday and she didn't answer even though she was there. Unacceptable behavior.

Negative experience: Everything that I explained to the receptionist on the phone for 15 minutes was completely ignored once I presented myself for the appointment. "Rules are rules" is what I was told. Obviously no human interaction or consideration. The receptionist was like a robot and the doctor was very unfair to me, especially being told the situation beforehand. Too much to go into but far from a professional office. She was so kind through all my dental procedures …. kudos to her .. thank you for your comfort words.

Fantastic experience: I am so glad I picked them as my Dentist. The whole staff is very kind, patient and understanding even when I wasn’t the nicest. I was in severe pain and even though that’s not an excuse they treated me no different from day one till now. Hands down amazing staff and amazing place.

Negative experience: I've attended Great Expressions in Lehigh Acres for over 3 years. Each time I have waited at least 40 min or longer to be seen. I understand that things happen and Dr's get behind. What about waiting when you're the 1st patient of the day?? The kind lady in the front office apologized for my 50 min wait today, and the assistant thanked me for my patience. The dentist said nothing. When the dentist and her assistant are speaking another language, while working in my mouth, is rude and unprofessional.

Negative experience: If I could give no stars I would. I first attempted to come here for a cleaning, My appointment was canceled because even though they have my records I am considered a new patient. I said fine reschedule me. When i show the LADY my calendar to try to make things easier, she wanted to book me at 8 am when i told i wouldn't be able to because i would be getting out of my job until 12:30 in the morning she said you could try to wake up early. She has no business telling me what to do with my time just because i am 50 years younger than her doesn't give her a right to involved herself in my business and push herself on me like that. I let it slide. When my rescheduled appointment came i was scheduled for 8:45 I came in at 8:30 everything was fine. They did my x-rays i thought it was extra but it wasn't an abnormal amount. This is the part that gets me I waited an Hour and fifteen minute before seeing the DMD, Not only that she said she is requiring more scan. When asked why she said because i am new to her practice she wants more scans and a comprehensive. When i explained to her that earlier in the year i had already done that she said for her own peace of mind she like to repeat them. Mind you I have been consist with my dental care. I have had wisdom teeth removed, had braces, and followed every recommendation. She said that at the moment she didn't see anything wrong but would like to dive deeper. I don't have anything wrong with my mouth. They literally have access to my record since i was 17 years old. That is why I stay with the same company. But she insisted so i said well can you guys get me out with my cleaning before 11 because i have class at 11:30 she said no because they would start my cleaning until 11:15 that is when they booked it for. When i already been there since 8:30 and could tried to actually be efficient with their time. WHEN HAS IT EVER BEEN SEEN THAT A WHOLE DENTAL APPOINTMENT FOR A CLEANING AND XRAYS BEEN 4.5 HOURS. I left when they told because first of they are scamming hard on the Ins. They wanted me to pay i said no. This is a scam do not go here because they are trying to make a buck rather than appropriate dental care. This has by far the worst experience by far. The hygenist guy super nice, he actually is very good with patients and deserves to work in a much better place. Everyone else yall can get the karma your owed for doing this to patients.

They threatened to send me to collections because of their billing incompetence. So I not only paid my premiums but also had to pay their bill

Negative experience: There is so much bad about this place. Wish I could do minus * Let's start with the cleaning they called scaling. The woman doing the cleaning had an appt. She got 2 maybe 3 teeth done and ran out the door. They charged me for a full. It was naver finished. They never charged our ins. Co. Correctly. Putting in wrong codes and I pif thinking it wasn't covered. My husband contacted ins. Co. after going over my bills. They said basically you were ripped off. So they went in circles with them. They kept playing wrong code games. Never got back what I was covered for. The worst.... I had a bad pain on my right side. The dentist picked a crowned tooth yanked it out and the crown went down my throat, I had to cough it out. Turns out that tooth didn't need to be pulled. Went to MA soon after. Woke up in agony. I went to my dentist I had used forever. I had an infection in the tooth above pulled tooth. It was moving into the tooth next to it. Never caught by Fl. Ended up needing a root canal. I had to pay because I had florida ins. My dentist gave me a break in price. But I had to stay in MA way longer than anticipated because of the double infection. Stay far away from this place. I should have been clued in when a man was fighting with the actual dentist about charges and what exactly she was going to do. STAY AWAY.

Negative experience: I will start off with I understand things happen. I understand appointments being rescheduled or run a bit behind. But my experience was beyond acceptable. First I had my appointment pushed back twice due to the dentist not being in the office and they were pushed back by a month both times not weeks. Having to request days off work and then change them. I finally got my appointment. It was for 8:00am. I arrived 20 mins early. Myself and three others were in the waiting room. At 8:05 I got called back, I already had my X-rays from another dentist that I attached to my profile. As well as filled out all the forms. I sat in the chair to be examined first 30 mins. No boggy . I was told the dentist was almost done. Which he was right down the way from me working on a ladies bridge. He was no where close to finished. 8:45 I am still waiting. Again was told the dentist was wrapping up. And once again I could see him, he was no where close. Still drilling and deep into his work. Which I can appreciate. By 9:15 I asked how much longer, the nurse apologized and said it shouldn’t be much longer. And how they are only open a few days a week(maybe they said two I can’t recall). Which again i understand by why over book so badly. I was done and the dentist was no where close to finished, still drilling and requesting more tools. I was upset, I let the nurse know I was gone I couldn’t wait any longer. My appointment was just a check up and go over a future appointment to get a filling and cleaning. My appointment should’ve been quick. I was now past the time I told my employer I would be late. I left and told them they better not charge my insurance . I am now searching again for another dentist to do this simple check up and then a follow up. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. It’s sad Lehigh has such a bad reputation for any business with places like this.

Negative experience: I have been a patient for 2 years now and haven't seen the actual dentist since my 1st visit. The dentist needs to be present. It's a very poor impression and seems as if she doesn't care. My previous dentist would at least do a cursory check of my teeth every visit. I'm very much considering another dentist who actually shows up.

Negative experience: Today I felt like if I went to those places where only go for a simple oil change and they offered you air filter,new brakes new this ,new that and they give you a bill at the end of$304 for this,$177 and $200 for this and that!! Fantastic experience: All personnel were friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and explained charges ahead of procedure. The charges were more than I was prepared for; but I had never had this procedure done before.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would! This office not only treated my elderly mother so poorly, provided an inaccurate treatment plan, never billed her until the following year causing insurance to refuse payment and now causing an unexpected bill due which was NOT part of the treatment plan. ( $30 that should of been balance after billing to insurance per treatment plan was paid pre appointment as expected) Billing mgr refused to make any adjustments or accept fault and indicated there was delay in billing due to staffing issues and being behind…. Is that mom’s fault? This is totally UNACCEPTABLE- what office doesn’t bill in the current year? This appointment was early Oct 2023 and submitted to insurance 5 mo later/receiving unexpected bill 6 mo later? Do your family a favor-please avoid considering or recommending Great Expressions Dental Centers! Do not trust treatment plan here…. They do not accept responsibility for any mistakes they cause for certain. Beware!

The desk staff is so friendly and take the time to explain everything to you. The dentist don't explain anything they tell it all to the assistant while looking in your mouth. I used to love this place but now I'm looking for another dentist for the new year.

Negative experience: Do not trust this office! Not only are their dental practices horrendous, and the front office is extremely rude (Layla), but the computer system must be junk as well because I have been notified it has been hacked!! My information has been hacked!! Abysmal at best. Don't trust these people with your dental health. It's too important.

Negative experience: Today's visit was a complete nightmare. The on-duty temporary dentist was unable to take an impression on a previously placed inplant. I was referred to the Dr who placed it and he said no problem. He said the problem was with the competence of the temporary Dentist filling in for the permanent dentist on maternity leave. They need to give this temporary dentist the boot.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever. That's without having to wait over an hour to be seen and to be told it was not listed as an emergency. Very disappointed to say the least

Dr. Karme Calixte is amazing she took her time to educate me on good dental hygiene as well as self care. Laila in the front was so kind and her willingness to help the patients is beyond what I would have asked for. All of the dental assistants have been amazing and I am so happy that I finally found a dentist I can trust and I enjoy coming to take care of my teeth. Thank you to all the staff!

Negative experience: Lehigh office VERY unprofessional staff the Dentist should be ashamed having employees upfront receiving her client like this, leave a bad taste in your mouth. Aspen across the road are great people person... see you there
