Fantastic experience: Very pleasant experience today at Sage Dental, Winter Park. Dr. Kim was very personable, knowledgeable and thorough. The front staff were professional, engaging and friendly. So happy we chose Sage Dental.

Negative experience: Wish I could give negative stars. I have an HMO through my insurance, chose it bc it gave money towards braces for kids, well I’m going back to PPO bc I can’t take these franchised dental offices that only want to upsell and take advantage for your money. I went in for a yearly cleaning and waited an hour after my appointment time to even get to a room. Got 18 X-rays and the woman forgot to put the protective vest on me for the panoramic one. I had to request mid way through. They then told me that I was going to get my gums measured and from there the front desk people would then talk to me about what I would “owe”. My cleanings are free!! I said she said well depending on your measurements we would need to do deeper cleanings etc. they would cost out of pocket. I said absolutely not. I said you tried to take advantage of me when I first walked in and told me I would have to pay 50$ for a cancer screening. Only until I said I don’t want that done did they say you are not required to have it. They worded it as I needed to pay for it and didn’t have an option. I talked to Angel the assistant manager and told her my problem she was sympathetic but also agreed the price would have to match what they told me and I would have to pay extra. Mind you I haven’t even had anyone see me or look at my gums yet and already they are preparing me to pay extra money. I said where r the days you come in and just get your teeth cleaned and walk out the door w out having to be taken advantage of. I will be switching to a PPO and will go back to private dental offices bc these commercial dime a dozen dental offices just want more and more money. Highly disappointed. And by the way I walked out after 2 hours and nothing but X-rays done. Wasted my time -my daughter had an appointment also after me and she waited also for two hours. No one is working except one person to clean and one to assist doctor. Horrible

Negative experience: I want to express my disappointment with the senior management at Sage Dental regarding the decision to CHARGE CREDIT CARD PROCESSING FEES. While I have been a patient for several years and appreciate the staff and their services, this review and score is directed solely at senior management. A dental office should absorb the cost of credit card usage as an expense rather than passing it down to their customers. Many clients are forced to use credit cards for expensive procedures, and adding these fees only increases their financial burden. Management must reconsider this policy and its impact on customers. I am thinking about moving to a new dental office. This is just another way to make money on your customers.

Fantastic experience: Went to start the process for dentures,CHA CHA was very professional and respectful,she answered all my questions and took care of me in a timely manner.She made the whole experience so much better! Dentist was very nice and respectful also, sorry but I forgot his name. Would highly recommend this Dental business.

Fantastic experience: Mindy is the kind of dental assistant everyone hopes to have. She’s incredibly patient and explains everything in the most human, down‑to‑earth way. Not once did she make me feel embarrassed or judged for not having perfect dental habits — instead, she talked me through what I needed to know with kindness, clarity, and genuine understanding. She’s gentle, reassuring, and has a calming presence that makes even the most anxious appointments feel manageable. You can tell she truly cares about her patients and wants them to feel comfortable and informed. I left feeling supported, not ashamed, and that alone makes her exceptional. I can’t recommend Mindy enough. She’s a rare combination of skill, empathy, and kindness — a true asset to the office.

Fantastic experience: Loved my visit here at Sage. Everything ran smoothly and on time. Cha Cha helped with the x rays and details of everything, she did amazing! I will be returning back! Dr Doorma was the doctor who took care of me, very clear with everything, showed me photos of my x rays and was very detailed with explanation.

Negative experience: Do not use Sage Dental. Their customer service quickly turned into a nightmare scenario. They lied about my CareCredit agreement to Synchrony and despite being told I had 3 years to pay it off Synchrony said they only told them 24 months. After making 24 months of payments Synchrony triggered the interest. I now owe more on the bill than over two years ago when I had the procedure done and never missed a payment. The two people I spoke to at this Sage Dental was April and Jada(office manager). They were unable to assist saying the person I spoke with when I signed the agreement and was told I had 36 months by no longer worked there.(How convenient) I did everything I could in good faith and they are now forcing me to pursue different action. Avoid at all cost unless you want to be lied to and them not take any ownership or accountability. The question is pretty simple. How could someone who has never used CareCredit know they have a 36 month no interest option unless it was explicitly told to me by the person signing me up for it?

Fantastic experience: Absolutely wonderful care, attention and transparency. I had an evaluation, a cleaning, and two fillings done on the same day. That same day treatment is really rare not to mention the amazing girls in the front who gave me a clear standing of what my insurance would cover and what would be my portion. Jada and Angel are also really pretty to look at overall excellent experience highly recommend!

Positive experience: I was not happy with Sage today. I go to Sage all the time but it was a horrible experience. I checked in at 11:45 for my noon appointment. They forgot I was there. I was finally checked in at 12:15 and I was not seen to 12:45. It was an hour late for my appointment. This is ridiculous. Horrible experience today! Please do not book an appointment around their lunch time because they will forget you.

Negative experience: Was there for over 3 hours, and they just keep me waiting, I have dental insurance and then they had me pay 130 dólar for an evaluation in order to get the cleaning and then try to charge me 300 dollar for my cleaning it’s a joke.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Alvi Mobeen and Lisa performed my root canal with efficiency and the absolute best bedside manner I’ve ever had from a doctor. Dr. Doomra walked me through everything needed to prep for this root canal. He carefully considered what medication I needed prior to surgery as to not make my recovery less effective. Little to no waiting for your appointment and everything in this office moves smoothly. The staff at this office are kind, considerate, give you time to ask questions, and make it possible to feel good about going to the dentist.

Negative experience: Didn’t really feel welcomed. Dentist seem money driven. Not a place I would recommend or go to. I saw you had to put a deposit for an appointment that’s actually insane & crazy.

Positive experience: A little to much of my time but good service

Negative experience: Absolutely HORRIBLE! Will over charge you say it’s due to insurance then when you call to ask for your credit back there’s excuses and so called corporate processes that will take 6-8 weeks to get a response from. They’ve had over $700 in credits sitting on my account since December. Here it is 5 months later still waiting for my refund and receiving the same excuse. Don’t believe all these positive reviews bc they post stuff in the rooms that will incentivize you to leave a good review for a chance to win a flossier or a toothbrush. SCAM!

Fantastic experience: What a memorable experience. I truly look forward to coming back for the same level of care. Chacha, Leonor, Angel, and Dr. Doomra make an incredible team. From diagnostics, to assessment, to evaluation, I felt genuinely involved as a patient and everything was explained thoroughly and clearly — 10/10 experience. The attentiveness felt almost surgical in its precision, while still being warm, welcoming, and human. Negative experience: Terrible experience and didn’t even make it past the front desk so i imagine the care provided by the rest of the team is just as terrible. First they asked me if i was able to be assigned to their office, which i was and had completed this prior to making the appointment. The appt was made in early April and it is now May 5. If it was showing on their end that i was not assigned you would think someone would call and say something, but no. I only received text reminders that I have an appointment and if i don’t cancel within 48 hours I will be responsible for paying for the appointment OOP. Upon getting their lives together they realized that i was in fact assigned and were in the process of getting a fax from my insurer. They then attempt to charge me $30 copay for my initial visit to “establish care” which never in my life have I had to do at the dentist. I proceed to inform her that i do not want xrays as i am pregnant. She then states that they wont even see me. Confused,i advised this was filled out on my initial intake online and shouldn’t have someone reviewed that and called me prior to wasting my time and attempting to collect money from me. She proceeded to inform that the front desk people dont look at medical history. Understandable- but wouldnt it make sense for someone on the team to review medical history especially if it will determine if the patient is seen or not?? Will be changing my provider and make sure i am “assigned” to a different dental office with practices that actually make sense.

Negative experience: This place is a rip off, they gouge prices so high you better be from a wealthy family or you ain't paying rent. Went to Smile Mission and got a deep cleaning for $150, Sage wanted over $1600. Will never go back to a corporate dentist office like this!!!

Fantastic experience: Answered all my questions. Considered all the options I asked about and had reliable and reasonable answers to why certain procedures would not work well. They did not try to push a procedure on me that would have little chance of success.

Fantastic experience: My first visit to Sage dental in Winter Park Fl. I was greeted by the receptionist warmly and filled out the rest of my paperwork and only had a 5 minute wait and then had a complete X-rays done including a 360 degree one I had never had before. I met with the dentist who said I needed a tooth extracted and a deep cleaning done so I was done for today and made another appointment for next Friday and took a form for my primary doctor to fill out and ok the procedure next week. So to be continued then. Very satisfied and they explained what my insurance covered and what I had to pay.

Negative experience: I wish I could give them ZERO stars. This was the WORST medical experience of my life, I had to walk out. They told me that I needed a intense cleaning and it would cost 1000s. They also told me I needed several teeth extracted. The doctor and nurse are SO rude they mispronounced my name and did not even apologize. The doctor, Karan Doomra, is the rudest man I have ever meant with some of the worse bedside manner, I have reported them to the Board of Dentistry and I hope he gets delicensed. He speaks so rudely and does not even introduced himself. Their facility is that of a developing world country. The paint is full of chips, smells like cigarettes, and equipment is very old. The chairs in the waiting room are the style of what you use during like a BBQ held in your driveway. HORRIBLE experience! DO NOT GO!

Fantastic experience: I have bad dental phobia and anxiety so this was my first exam in a very long time. I was nervous and scared but all the staff made the time as comfortable as they could. They were reassuring and let me know what the next steps were. I will definitely be continuing my future with Sage Dental!

Negative experience: Fraud Alert. I am very disappointed with the billing transparency at this office. After they billed my insurance, I was charged an unexpected $300+ out-of-pocket for a basic cleaning. Due to these hidden/unnecessary charges, I will not be returning and will take my business (including my children’s braces) elsewhere. They lost 12k business due to unnecessary 300 fraud charges

Fantastic experience: I came in with severe tooth pain and feeling really discouraged. From the moment I arrived, the entire staff made me feel welcomed and cared for. They helped me switch my dentist to Sage Dental using my HMO insurance without any issues. The doctor thoroughly evaluated me and was able to refer me the same day for in-house treatment, which felt like a true blessing given the level of pain I was in. I was able to receive a root canal and crown that same day, and I left completely pain-free. I walked in feeling sad and miserable, and I walked out relieved, grateful, and confident that I’ve found an amazing new dental team. Thank you to everyone at Sage Dental for the compassion, efficiency, and excellent care.

Negative experience: I have been going to Sage Dental for years and always made sure to settle every bill before I leave. Recently I received a bill for services done 3 yrs ago + some pending charges. I've called the billing department multiple times and kept being told their system is down, they are understaffed, etc. but will have someone call back in the next few days. I've called back multiple times but nobody every calls me back and nobody will even pull up my record to let me know what's going on. The company just keeps sending me letters demanding payments. I can't even get an answer on why I'm being billed and am seriously considering lawsuits if I still don't hear back soon.

Fantastic experience: I was in today and I applause for the way the I been treated. I used her Lashanda cell Chacha test because I don’t have google on may personal phone.

Negative experience: I go to get a routine cleaning. I notice the hygienist, Leonor, cleaned one area of my mouth really good. That was her main focus it seemed. She says she’s done and asked how does it feel..I told her I still feel grit in between my teeth. She proceeds to floss and rinse again and asked how does it feel & look now. So I pull out my camera to look at my teeth since I didn’t feel the grit anymore. I asked her to clean a specific tooth more because of a stain. (I’m there for a cleaning; why do I see a stain). In the process she managed to spill water all over my face, running down my neck into my shirt. So I say what the hell! Because now I feel like you really don’t want to do your job and you’re mad because I’m asking you to do something further. This happened in the middle of her fixing this stain she missed. She asks me one last time, how does it feel. At this point it feels worse than before & I tell her that. She offers to do something else, but at that point I don’t want her in my mouth anymore. So she tells me I don’t have to act like that. I get up and say I’m done and ask for her business card. She says I don’t have one. I then ask for her name. She says no; you can ask them up front. I ask again what is your name. She ignores me. So I stopped at the front desk on my way out to ask for her name. One lady just stared at me like I was speaking another language. Then the office manager finally steps in to ask if I wanted to talk about it. I told her no I will be talking to corporate. She then handed me the card. So if you come here, be careful about advocating for yourself, they seem to frown upon that. Leonor Arias was my hygienist at Sage in Winter Park. It started off as an okay interaction until it wasn’t. My experience has been very hit or miss when it comes to them. I kept giving them a chance, as this is my 4th time here. This will definitely be my last time going there.

Negative experience: I’m sharing this to help others make an informed decision. I went to Sage Dental in October for a routine visit. During the exam, the dentist told me I had 10 cavities and urgently needed fillings and a deep cleaning. He said that if I didn’t move forward quickly, I could need root canals or worse. This was extremely alarming, especially since I’ve never had a cavity in my life. I told him I was close to open enrollment and might change dental insurance and return later. He warned that waiting would be detrimental to my dental health. He also had me look at my X-rays and pointed out all the supposed cavities, which added to the pressure and anxiety. After that, I was taken into a very small office where someone went over financing options. The total cost was in the thousands. I was then told, “Luckily, we have an opening for you today.” The entire experience felt rushed, sales-driven, and more like a factory than a healthcare setting. I decided to leave and get a second opinion. I changed dental insurance and went to a different dentist today. After a full exam and X-rays, I was told I have zero cavities. I’m relieved, but also frustrated and concerned that I was put through so much stress and nearly convinced to undergo unnecessary and expensive dental work. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any major treatment here.

Even though there are a few negative Google reviews, after my visit I can confidently say that I am extremely pleased with my experience. The staff was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable, and the doctor took great care of me. I’m honestly glad I didn’t listen to those few bad reviews. The office is exceptionally clean and well organized, which made me feel comfortable right away. From my experience, it seems that some of the negative reviews may come from patients who either disagreed with their diagnosis or didn’t fully understand how their insurance works. Overall, I had a great experience and would absolutely recommend this practice.

After looking at my situation I needed some cavities filled and a special cleaning. Even though it was towards the end of the day they still were able to fit me in! Even though they could have easily rescheduled me for a different day.. they got it all done! Great job. Very happy with everything. Also worked around my braces and made the process of getting my bands and wires off very easy. Great work Winter Park Sage Dental!

Negative experience: If you're a new patient and have insurance of any kind, do NOT tell them and don't use it. I made this mistake after just picking it off United's website since it was close and not looking at the website. All kinds of perks for the uninsured that they won't tell you about until they're done taking you and your insurance (if it actually pays anything) for all you're worth, and subsidizing their plans for the uninsured. I brought it up on a follow up visit that I couldn't help but feeling ripped off, the admin told me I wasn't qualified for their advertised deal "because I have insurance" and it's better with the insurance but would not provide me with a comparison if I had just not used my insurance and paid for their plan. Said they only know now that I've used it and she more or less laughed in my face and brushed me off. Told her to cancel any follow up visits I had if any, wouldn't be coming back. She didn't make any attempt to rectify the situation. They'd already scraped the carcass of me and my lousy insurance's pockets. Will be looking for a new dentist in 6 months and will not make this mistake again.

With my sensitive teeth and inflamed gums, they work hard to help get my teeth to where they should be. And for a college student, they understood the financial burdens i face and offer finance options if needed! My hygienist Leanor is the best and gave the gentlest cleaning ever. Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE. I was referred here by my friend. I went to this appointment in February 2025. First, the girls in this office are so sweet. The male dentist, however, is condescending. I had just moved here and went to do my checkup/get my cleaning that’s included with my insurance. After x-rays the dentist told me I needed to extract 2 of my molars and to just go ahead and pull the wisdom teeth at the same time because they will “grow in soon”, then get a deep cleaning afterwards. (Mind you, my teeth do not hurt or bother me at all.) As a result, he stated that they would not clean my teeth until AFTER all extractions and recovery. He referred me to another place for the extractions and quoted me $550 JUST FOR THE DEEP CLEANING. I referred my brother to the altamonte springs location around the same time I booked this appointment where they gave him a deep cleaning for $260!!!!! I did not proceed with any work due to how pricey the quote was for the deep cleaning. Fast forward, I’m pregnant now and just went to a different dentist/company TODAY. 6 months LATER. They told me I do not need my teeth extracted, as they do not hurt/bother me at all and they do not have cavities.I did not need a deep cleaning either, and guess what!!! they kindly gave me my annual cleaning.

Fantastic experience: It was a struggle when I started out with Sage, Some of the people there was nice most of all the surgeon was respectful, professional, and really made me feel comfortable. He made it worth my time, and the assistance were great as well....the surgeon is really the one made want too do this review. I recommend 10/10 Sage dental. He is really understanding and knows how to do his job correctly.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dental clinic in Winter Park!! They took amazing care for me, Angel was a true angel, she was so kind and friendly, and accommodating. I really appreciate the amazing treatment and already got scheduled for my next cleaning!! Thank you so much again!

Negative experience: Didn’t get what I needed which was a simple extraction of a loose lower molar. They wanted over $1,000!!… 2pm same day,..just wrapped up at local dentist recommended by the waiter next door. $220! Left with a smile

Positive experience: I had to wait 45 min before being seen and I arrived 15 min early. Completed all paperwork before my appt time. I had another appt 2 1/2 hours after this one. I received xrays and an exam but couldn't stay to finish because of my appt after this one. I alloted 2 hours even though I was told 90 min for this appointment and that wasn't enough time. The xray that spins around your head for quick images was down and it took 40 min to take them the old way. It felt like 20 shots with the bite thingy The hygienist was nice friendly and quick. I didn't get to see the doctor. The staff was all nice and very apologetic. It was a bad day for them and me. Maybe my next appointment will be better and on time.

Negative experience: I arrived 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment, expecting to be seen on time or at least close to it. Unfortunately, I ended up waiting for over 35 minutes with no update or explanation. My time is just as valuable, and I believe clients deserve the same respect and consideration that’s expected from us when we’re asked to arrive promptly. It’s disappointing to experience such a lack of regard for punctuality and communication.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Sage Dental in winter park for 5 years or more.They are the best from the dentists to the front desk. Mindy the Dental assistant is the best! Kind, funny , explains everything in terms you will understand, very knowledgeable, makes you feel like family...and comfortable. Love her

Fantastic experience: Dr. Doomra and Chacha Took amazing wonderful care of me when I needed to make a last-minute appointment for a dental traumatic injury. Their bedside manner and impeccable quality of care put me at ease. And the Business Manager was so welcoming, nice, informative and made the process super easy to handle with insurance.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment a few weeks ago with Cha-Cha and she was phenomenal. I guess I never fully submitted the review for that appointment. But I was in again today and it was a great experience just like my first visit. The staff as a whole is wonderful.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was extremely nice I'm a very nervous patient but they took care of me and when it was too expensive and I needed some added help that help me file paperwork so I could get the dental work done so if you're looking for a dentist they're very helpful very helpful there and very pleasant I didn't meet one person that had an attitude everyone was wonderful there there's one of the best experiences I've had going to a doctor or dentist or anything so I definitely would recommend them.

Negative experience: Had a surgery scheduled at 9 AM. They come to the waiting room at 9 AM and tell me they can't do the surgery because they are missing one piece of equipment from their shipment. They send someone to another office to pick it up and she returns and tells me I will be called back shortly. 30 minutes pass and I ask the front desk for an ETA and she says the surgeon is "on the phone." 30 more minutes pass and I go back up and now there is apparently more equipment being picked up from another different office. About 10 minutes later, the worker comes back in with a suitcase and arms full of equipment. What type of office has no planning to the point of not realizing you're missing multiple essential pieces of equipment the minute the surgery is supposed to start? And to lie to their patients, avoiding blame, saying the ONE missing piece equipment "just didn't come in the box" when in reality they're missing an entire setup. What type of office worker tells me I'll be called back shortly on her way out the door to go pick up MORE missing equipment? I didn't get called back until noon when my appointment was at 9 AM. To make matters worse, the rooms were dusty and my driver saw a tech walk into the bathroom in full PPE. Disgusting. I am very relaxed with medical procedures, but I had extreme anxiety as I had lost all trust in the staff due to lack of preparation, organization, and communication. Worst dental office I have ever visited and I will NEVER be back. I work in healthcare and we share opinions on various providers, I will be sure to let them all know to avoid Sage Dental.

Negative experience: You are always told you should read the reviews about a place before giving them your business, especially when it comes to healthcare, and I regret not looking into Sage Dental more before making a new patient appointment with them. I have always had pretty good teeth and am vigilant about my dental hygiene, not going too much more than 6 months without making an appointment. The way I was treated at this appointment by the dentist, you would think I never brushed my teeth a day in my life. He walked into the room, barely introduced himself, and proceeded to tell me that I was one step away from peridontitis, and if I didn’t take action with a deep clean right away, the effects would be irreversible. I had never been told this previously and was a little taken aback by his comment, so I gave some push back, which he replied to by saying that “I cared more about insurance than my own health and if I didn’t get this deep cleaning no insurance would ever accept me for a routine cleaning again.” I stood my ground, but was willing to hear from his “sales associate” about what package they could offer. The care package document did not lay out clearly what so ever what services Id be provided, they listed bunch of numbers and letters followed by the charge. When I asked the sales associate more about what each charge was for she said “numbing and fluoride which we can take off.” This sales associate also proceeded to show me my X-rays, which I am sure she doesn’t have the medical education to do, apparently pointing out which spots were most at risk for periodontitis. If this practice took more time to get to know me, rather than using scare tactics and gaslighting to make a profit, they would know I am a health care provider and I would proceed to get a second opinion before agreeing to Sage’s care plan. Needless to say, I got a second opinion, and none of what this practice “diagnosed” me with was anywhere near true. I now seriously question this dentist’s clinical judgement and strongly urge anyone who is considering this practice to think twice before trusting them with your dental care.

Negative experience: Six months ago, I would’ve had a different opinion than I do today. My last two visits have been very confusing. And now they are asking me to pay for things that were rendered almost a year ago. I visit almost every month for regular check ins due to my braces The last cleaning I was told they failed to cover 1 of 4 antibiotics for $20. Today, another $125 or so was asked for as well. Nothing makes you feel more confident when your Dental company has no idea why they suddenly need you to pay for some of that insurance is not covering. If it was a month ago maybe, but Aug 24 is in your previous fiscal balance sheets. I’ve never had to call my insurance to solve an issue with anything before coming to Sage. I plan to keep my braces with them bc the hassle is too great, but I will seek other dental services elsewhere.

Negative experience: Sage Dental of Winter Park prescribed treatments that would require $1200 of out-of-pocket expenses. It is unfortunate that the dentist himself, Dr. Karan Doomra, endorsed the add-ons to my treatment plan after being questioned. Sage Dental of Winter Park: - Prescribed a "de-scaling" deep cleaning that was not necessary for my teeth. (Every Sage Dental office seems to prescribe this unnecessary procedure that is not fully covered by insurance.) - Stated that I had a cavity where there was none. - Prescribed a root canal and unneeded add-ons that were not fully covered by my insurance when it was possible to have done so. I found another dentist, thankfully, that has proven to be more trustworthy and caring that does not prescribe unnecessary add-ons. My dental work is now fully covered by my insurance and does not require out-of-pocket expenditure.

Fantastic experience: I haven’t decided on any actual dental work yet so I’m going to have to refrain from posting on that. However, the front office staff and my nurse (assistant?) were all terrific. Extremely helpful with various suggestions on my options for payment as well as the healthcare itself. Right now I’m leaning towards using the doctors here, will make up my mind in the next several days. But if you’re looking for a place that won’t push you into anything and just explain it all in simple terms so you understand what you’re getting into or choosing this is the place.

Fantastic experience: This is the place to go. The dentist, the staff are all amazing. I'm still recovering from surgery, and they accommodated me while I had a root canal.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service, I was on time for my appointment. 25 minutes passed and they’re calling my cell phone while I’m in the waiting room asking me where I was. I came for a consultation, every other person in the waiting room was seen before me. This place is a joke, I could get better service at a Walmart for what they charge. Never again.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Sage Dental was very pleasant from the moment I walked in. The office staff is very professional and welcoming. The dentist was very quick and thorough. I LOVED Leonor Arias, RDH., she did an amazing job with my deep cleaning, she was gentle but very very thorough as well, probably spent 2 hrs getting what felt like every mm of every single tooth! My smile was better when she was done. I'm very very pleased

Negative experience: Horrible experience. I will be reporting this facility to the better business bureau and board of dentistry. You cannot force someone to do a more expensive procedure as a deep cleaning. As someone who works in healthcare and the insurance industry, you cannot take advantage of individuals. The Dentist was very condescending. I advised I only wanted to do a standard cleaning that is covered under dental my insurance plan. Despite the negative reviews for this facility I decided to give this dental practice a try as I recently found out my original practice is not considered out of network. I will be returning to my original dental provider and would prefer to pay out of pocket and work with professional providers. I do not recommend this place to anyone as they will force you to pay for extra treatments that are not mandatory. Another thing that irritated me is that they charged me $55 and the machine did not work. Thankfully I was able to get a refund for that oral screening.

Negative experience: The dentists were kind and did their jobs well. However, when I was leaving, they attempted to make me pay full price before figuring out how much insurance would cover my bill. They would not let me leave without paying the combined price of my copay and what insurance would cover. Now, Sage owes me money because my insurance payed them what I already paid. It all could have been avoided by sending me the bill with my insurance coverage subtracted from the price I had to pay. Ridiculous. Follow up- they are not paying me the money that they owe me. I have a form from my insurance that proves they owe me money, but they won’t pay me. This place steals!!!

Negative experience: Websites sucks. You go online to book an appointment, since they appear to offer online booking, but they force you to let them text you to be able to create an appointment. Who does this help? How does this make things easier? If I wanted to make an appointment by reaching out through phone, I would've called. I went to the website to book an appointment THROUGH THE WEBSITE. I'm so tired of companies having this obsession with adding tedious processes to booking that make what should be a simple and short process long and requiring multiple devices. It wouldn't show me any available appointments, either, requiring permission to text me for me to see them. As if we all don't get enough spam texts already. I don't want my dentist texting me, so I closed the tab and looked for a different dentist. I got a text from Sage Dental a few minutes later anyway, despite never agreeing to the texts. Curious how my permission wasn't even necessary.

Negative experience: Today was one of the most frustrating and unreasonable experiences I’ve ever had. I took time off work for my scheduled appointment, only to be denied the very services I was promised. Two months ago, I was reassured that I wouldn’t need to return to my original location for my cleaning something I was initially concerned about. Instead, I was told I could have my cleaning done at the Winter Park location, followed by the orthodontic portion of my treatment, where the bottom brackets would be placed. But when I arrived, I wasn’t met with professionalism or courtesy. Instead, I was greeted with dismissive giggles, rebuttals, and a complete lack of empathy. Rather than taking accountability for the misinformation, the staff met me with confrontation, making an already frustrating situation even worse. To make matters worse, when I requested their corporate contact information to file a complaint, I was deliberately given the wrong number. It wasn’t until I called the Maitland location where the staff was far more professional that I was finally given the correct contact. This type of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. No paying customer should have to fight just to be heard, let alone struggle to file a simple complaint. I will make sure that every individual responsible for this experience is held accountable not just by leaving reviews but by escalating my concerns to the highest level. If you’re considering this location, think twice. If this happened to me, it can (and likely will) happen to others. Businesses like this need to be audited and held responsible for their poor customer service. It’s time we stop accepting this kind of treatment and demand better. I also believe that because of its unprofessional nature quite a few good working class providers have left the company. Sage has gone to the DOGS!

Negative experience: 0/10 experience. I would highly recommended a second opinion on dental work they said needs to be done. I was told I need crowns, a root canal, & a deep cleaning. I got a second opinion from a more reputable dentist in winter park and was told I just needed a few cavity fillings and a regular cleaning. They clearly only want to make money off you. The staff on more than one occasion was very unprofessional as well. Save yourself a poor experience and spend the money elsewhere.

Negative experience: My daughter is 21 and moved to Winter Park recently. She has been a Sage client in South Florida for many years. Now that she is out on her own and trying to make her own way in life, she scheduled an appointment to have her teeth cleaned for the first time at the Winter Park location. At the end of the consultation, 5 employees surrounded her as she was laying in the dental chair and told her she would need to cough up $1200 for a deep cleaning and to have her retainer glued. They told her they would not be able to clean her teeth until she paid for the deep cleaning. She is a college student, with dental insurance, who is trying to take care of herself. Not once did her Sage dentist in Boca Raton ever tell her she needed a deep cleaning. She felt overwhelmed and wanted to cry because she does not have $1200 and there were 5 people standing over her telling her she must do this deep cleaning. So she left and is now fearful of ever going to the dentist again. Good job, Sage.

Negative experience: Don’t go here. They are very unprofessional and dishonest. The receptionist was on her phone while speaking to me. Lied about my insurance not covering the cost, but my insurance company confirmed that it should. From the experience I had today I can tell they are money grabbers and some unlucky people may fall for this.

Negative experience: 0-stars if I could, staff was friendly but deceptive and seemed to be grifting for more money. Context: I went here for a dental cleaning which requires a Pre-Cleaning meeting now. At this meeting, they analyzed my teeth and said I needed a “deep cleaning” that was so intense it would require numbing/localized anesthesia because they said I had a low level of gum disease. I did not believe this, but wanted to get a cleaning so I requested to schedule a normal cleaning anyways and they refused. I went to a different dentist and was told there was nothing wrong with my gums. They tried to upcharge me by hundreds of dollars that my insurance wouldn’t pay for something I didn’t have. Very untrustworthy.

Negative experience: I've never had a more dishonest, "only after your money" vibe at any establishment. I went in for a cleaning. After xrays, they said I needed a "deep cleaning" procedure - not covered by insurance and very expensive (over $1,100).They said they couldn't even do a normal clean until the deep clean was performed. It felt scammy, but I signed up for carecredit since they were so pushy and they're the professionals, right? Ultimately, I decided I didn't trust them and changed dentists. The new dentist said my teeth were fine and performed a standard cleaning. I asked Sage for a refund for the unused portion of my carecredit (the second half of the deep clean) but they said I had to contact carecredit for a refund. Carecredit says I have to contact Sage. I'm stuck, out of pocket, and highly disappointed in Sage.

Negative experience: Do yourself a favor and don’t bother scheduling appointments here. They canceled on me two times Despite sending half a dozen reminders that I needed to show up . The second time I walked into the office and apparently the dentist couldn’t show up to work. Judging from the remarks of the receptionists, it appears that Dr. Fernandez must do this quite often. I took the morning off of work for no reason. Thanks for wasting my time Dr Fernandez. Maybe somebody needs to text you a dozen times to remind you to show up for work in the morning.
