Fantastic experience: The service was excellent. My children had their first visit and it was a very pleasant experience. Even the waiting room was fun! There were over 100 items hidden in the drawings on the wall, letting us pass the time enjoyably playing I spy. The staff was gentle and considerate as we went through brushing their teeth, doing X-rays, and doing the cleaning. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dental experience I have ever had. I am the guardian for my adult special needs brother. It has been like pulling teeth (pun intended) to find a dentist that will take a special needs adult over the age of 21. With Fantasea caring for special needs children, I called to see if they would know of any resources for adults. I spoke to Alitia on the phone and she was so sweet. She gave me some resources but also let me know that their office would see him if I wanted. I could have seriously cried. Although they don't take Medicare/Medicaid, their prices are very reasonable, they offer in office IV sedation when needed, and there isn't a crazy waiting period dealing with government insurance. Everyone in the office was so sweet and I was able to schedule my brother's entire treatment plan to be completed in 2 weeks. To out that in perspective, the ONLY special needs dentist that treats ADULTS over 21, offering sedation dentistry, is out of Seminole or Gainesville FL (through the University of Florida) has a 1.5 year wait list. To say that I am extremely grateful for Fantasea would be an understatement. If you are able to swing self pay or if your loved one is on private dental insurance, I HIGHLY recommend them. I haven't felt this kind of relief in a long time.

Fantastic experience: It was my 4.5-year-old son's very first dental visit, so he was understandably nervous. However, the team eased his anxiety the moment we walked through the door. The staff is incredibly friendly, a special shout-out to Ms. Barbara, who was absolutely lovely! They truly took their time and understood all of his little worries. The office is filled with fun details, like tons of stuffed animals with teeth and toothbrushes, which made the environment feel so welcoming. I really appreciated how they encouraged me to be hands-on; I brushed and rinsed with him to show him it wasn’t scary, and I even "got" fake X-rays to encourage him to do his! The team was amazing throughout the entire process, offering fun prizes after every big step to keep him motivated. My son is actually already excited to go back! I highly recommend them to any parent looking for a patient, fun, and caring pediatric dentist.

Fantastic experience: Two of our children have come to Dr. Lastres to have their oral ties reduced. The procedure, done by laser, is quick and efficient as is the healing process. Opposed to snipping traditionally done in ENT offices. I recommend to anyone whose child has oral ties. Having this procedure reduced acid reflux, constipation, and click during feeds.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience at Fantasea Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Lastres was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely kind. After changing about three dentists before, this was the first place where I truly felt comfortable and confident leaving my child in their care. My son needed a tooth extraction with apses, and it was done using laughing gas (nitrous oxide). The doctor explained everything clearly beforehand, and the procedure went very smoothly. My son stayed calm and comfortable throughout, which meant a lot to me as a parent. The dental assistants and the front desk staff were also very friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made a big difference for both of us. We both left very satisfied. I highly recommend this office to any parent looking for a caring, professional, and trustworthy dentist for their child.

Fantastic experience: After suspecting my 8 week old had a lip or tongue tie, I brought her in for a consultation. Dr. Lastres took her time to show me and explain to me the ties my daughter had and what a normal lip and tongue should look like. We decided to proceed with the procedure which they performed right away. The whole procedure took 5 minutes and my child did not seem bothered at all. The whole staff is friendly and professional. I would recommend them for anyone who questions if their child has a tie.

Fantastic experience: Is wonderful with kids. Both my kids started out very young and learned to feel comfortable with going to the dentist without being pressured. Everyone is wonderful and patient with children. They make it welcoming/fun and a great learning experience. My children absolutely loved being able to brush all the stuffed animals teeth and being able to watch movies while they got their teeth cleaned. We love the Dr and all the ladies at the office and how kind they are.

Fantastic experience: We love Fantasea Pediatrics. My daughter really enjoys coming to the dentist not a scare in the world. The kids enter and see a large aquarium with fish, there are toys and books while you wait. Once it is your turn there are many stuffed animals you can practice brushing their teeth. We had a great cleaning with Mrs Barbara.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had her first appointment (a “happy visit”) and had a great experience from start to finish. The receptionist who booked the appointment helped address my doubts about how much they would be able to accomplish in a dental appointment for a two year-old- the took all the pressure off by saying this would likely be a happy visit to just get her acquainted with the process and would be no-charge. They were also clear and upfront about the insurance and billing situation. My daughter loved playing with the toys and looking at the aquarium in the lobby, the hygienist was so kind in walking my daughter through teeth brushing and the various parts of a dental cleaning and a fun and interactive way. They have stickers and toys to make the process fun, and stuffed animals with teeth to help demo the different procedures on. Dr. Lastres was kind and patient in her exam, and was understanding and not pressuring as we discussed how to work on good oral hygiene habits as my daughter grows older. My daughter had fun and has been playing with her toothbrush, mirror, and dentist gloves all day since!

Fantastic experience: My favorite dentist in the world, I have been going here since elementary school and now entering adult years! Couldn’t recommend this place more, the nicest employees who care about there patients so much!

Negative experience: Avoid this office at all costs. Waited 20-30 minutes past my appointment time with a 2 year old. Despite making the appointment a week prior, I was never instructed to send my daughters insurance ahead of time or even given directions how. The first thing i asked when i arrived was, “can i get you her insurance card”. I was told not to worry about it and they would do all that at check out. I then proceeded to fill out paperwork and wait for 30 minutes. When i turned in the paperwork, i again asked about getting them my insurance. She gave me an email and i sent the info while we waited. Appointment took 45 minutes. When it was finally time for check out they told me i owed $300, which shocked me with insurance. They then said “oh since we didn’t verify insurance ahead of time you have to pay in full today.” Conveniently no one told me that the 3 times I asked at check in. They refused to check my insurance despite an empty waiting room and quiet clinic. They refused to let me leave. The woman at the front was rude, dismissive, and basically told me i was lying. She was equally rude to other staff members and was the one at check in who gave me their email like sending my insurance would matter - of course she never told me it was too late to apply insurance for today’s visit. Very clear this place ignores insurance as an attempt to collect cash directly. Will not be returning, Dr seems nice but poor policies do not keep good clients and are a direct reflection of poor management. Also, as an aside their wifi pw is “pedo1234” which is just uncomfy.

Mrs. Alicia has always been the best—so kind, patient, and caring. It’s incredibly sweet to watch her now interact with my child the same way she did with me years ago. I also love the park theme in the waiting room and the beautiful fish tanks—they make the whole experience feel fun and calming, especially for kids. Fantastic experience: Very nice and professional office! Brought my infant for a tongue tie, Dr Lastres found that he also had a significant lip tie and took care of both on the same day. She was very clear in explaining the complications of these conditions, what the treatment was, and what to expect after. I was allowed to be in the room for the procedure and that was very reassuring for me. Truly appreciate how kind everyone in the office was and also the environment was very kid friendly!

Fantastic experience: The team at Fantasea Pediatrics is amazing! My kids have been patients for 8 years, starting at age 2. We have always had a positive experience whether in for a cleaning, cavity, x-ray or extraction. The technicians are thoughtful and friendly and Dr. Lastrez is wonderful!
