Aspen Dental - Minot, ND

Fantastic experience: Very thorough exam! Also able to schedule in a timely manner as several dental offices in Minot were booking 6 months to a year out.

Negative experience: So I have a bit of weird story. I had a crown put on my molar about five years ago and the procedure was very painful. I do not know if I had any numbing applied to tooth or gum, I’ve recently went to a different dentist where they numbed my tooth and I did not feel a thing so I don’t think I was treated properly at Aspen. During my procedure, my tooth was being burned off with what felt like no numbing because it was excruciatingly painful, I had a crown put on after and it did not fit my mouth, I was naive at the time and I guess I should’ve said it didn’t fit but I feel I may have been too afraid because I remember feeling fear and in pain after it was over. I did not go to the dentist for about five years after that, I’ve been genuinely afraid to go because of this experience at Aspen. Recently the crown broke off and I have a huge cavity that is now close to my nerve and now I have to get a root canal. I don’t know if this was because the crown wasn’t shaved down enough for me to close my jaw completely but how could a cavity form under a permanent crown? isn't it supposed to be completely shaved off? (in my case burned) My time at Aspen was painful and scary and now seems to have been ineffective as well as pointless and is now costing me to spend over a thousand dollars for a root canal and a new crown along with what will be an uncomfortable recovery.

Fantastic experience: Really good set of people to have in your dental corner. The Assistants and new Doctor are a great team combo! And the front of house staff (Shyanna, Denisha, and Kate are terrific) have incredible levels of detail and commitment to your treatment that I haven't ever seen before. Really couldn't recommend a better office to go to for your dental check-ups. Thank you Aspen Team!

Fantastic experience: I'm very impressed. The front desk was great so was the nurse. I was not kept waiting. I have never had xrays with such impressive machines. The dentist was calming and reassuring and he took time to explain everything. I will return soon!

Fantastic experience: The scheduling was a little tricky at first. My first and second appointments were top notch. The ladies are so nice and kind.

Negative experience: Moving my mom's dental care to Fargo and requested to have her x-rays sent to her new Fargo dentist for a same-day dental appointment. We signed an ROI request and Aspen said it would take 7-10 days to send the x-rays. What?!?!? This is unacceptable!! I asked if there was anything they could do to expedite given that her appointment was today and they said there was NOTHING that could be done. Thanks for the lack of help! Wow! I called another former dentist of my mother's and they were able to send x-rays the same day. My mother was not satisfied with her care at Aspen anyway, and I have heard nothing but horrible things about Aspen Dental from other people who have used their service and would recommend avoiding this dentist at all costs.

Negative experience: Awful awful experience I came in to fix all that was wrong I had a filling fall out and I tried getting a new filling in they said they reccomended a crown but I didnt want one so I got a filling and it sucked looked nothing like the other teeth so I though oh well maybe they were right and followed their reccomendation so I got a crown so ended up paying for a filling that sucked just to pay for a crown which I wasnt mad about that was my decision went to another place after a filling fell out on my front tooth later and it was just like my other tooth that had a filling fall out previously and they re-filled it in perfectly i feel like i was lied to had awful service and now i have a permanent crown that was not necessary and more expensive then a filling too and then I had fillings done on my molars and they said they wanted to do a root canal I didnt want that and wanted a filling they did it kept going in over and over due to pain and not being able to eat from both sides of my mouth they constantly kept rescheduling me despite the pain and I kept getting it redone and they seemed annoyed with me constantly coming in for pain and he said next time I come in they want to do a root canal I went to another place and they said I just need sensitive toothpaste to fix the enamel and a root canal is super extreme and not needed and 2 root canals on molars are thousands and thousands of dollars since I dont have insurance for something that just needed sensitive toothpaste they have to be money hungry and then I kept getting lied to about payments ontop of all their cancelations I was told I had to pay like 1000 for the crown I said they told me 300 they called me back saying it was actually no money I came in and it was 300 I had the worst experience it was so unprofessional and lost so much money thank god I went to another place and they told me I didnt need a root canal they did trick me with the stupid crown and now I have permanent changes to my teeth but whatever I guess and I was a fresh 18 year old going to a dentist for the first time I let all of this slide for months I seriously was trying to get that filling that turned into a crown and those molars fixed since beginning of november! And finally had enough and went to that new place this month in may and its finally fixed thanks to them I couldnt reccomend it less and then with the crown I was walking around with that awful filling for a month cuz when it finally came in it was brown like dirt brown and they told me 'did you get whitening' no of course my teeth arent dirt brown they never were so they had to put in another waited longer and it finally came in it and the crown was the tooth right beside the front teeth so front and center and ugly and they didnt care and kept rescheduling me on the crown too bothers me so much how much money I spent on not needed crap and the lies and bad job they did on my teeth and now I have permanent changes that I didnt want spent so much money on things im still trying to fix and it was just so so bad there were even more things that happened but thats the main summary the only good thing was a few people were quite kind and the assistant was nice to talk to but thats all update have been using the sensitive toothpaste for a weekish and my molars are already SO much better I can eat without worrying about a painful bite its crazy the difference and they tried getting me to do 2 root canals for it smh

First off, I walked in expecting the usual “dental visit experience” (you know… mild fear, awkward small talk, and questioning every life decision that led me there). Instead, I was greeted like I had just returned from a heroic journey across the frozen tundra. I’m pretty sure someone almost rang a bell. Now let’s talk about my sister, Dantzel—dental assistant extraordinaire. I’ve always known she was good, but apparently she has ascended to some kind of mythical dental wizard status. I’m convinced she could floss a grizzly bear while calming it down with gentle conversation. Her skills are so smooth I didn’t even realize my teeth were being worked on—I thought I was at a spa. At one point I almost asked for a cucumber water refill. The entire team? Ridiculously nice. Suspiciously nice. Like, are you all trained in hospitality at a 5-star resort and just decided, “Nah, let’s fix teeth instead”? Every single person made me feel comfortable, explained everything clearly, and didn’t judge me for the questionable life choices that led to my flossing habits. Also, the place is spotless. Not just “clean”—I’m talking “you could perform surgery on a snowflake in here and it wouldn’t pick up a speck of dust.” And the best part? I left smiling. At a dentist. That alone should qualify this place for some kind of international award. If you live anywhere within a 500-mile radius of Minot, just go. Cancel your current dentist. Reschedule your life. Aspen Dental is worth it. Final verdict: Teeth: Cleaner Mood: Improved Faith in humanity: Restored 10/10 would let Dantzel boss me around about flossing again.

Negative experience: I waited 3 months to get my teeth fixed but my appointment got cancelled because I confirmed my appointment with an answering robot (because a person didn’t answer) and also they told me I had to pay for the fee earlier which they didn’t tell me. Never experienced anything like this.

Positive experience: The Staff is awesome, nice and friendly environment. They are awesome in taking in walk-ins and emergency walk-ins. Everytime I go in I always have a great experience. Thank you for all that you guys do for us!!!

Negative experience: This place is horrible. Apparently, the answering service double books appointments all the time. Both mine and my husbands appointments were double booked. They sent out two confirmations about them but said they were double booked. They were telling people sorry for the problem but have done nothing to fix it. Just make sure you are talking to a specific number choice. Billed me for over 300.00 for a bitewing xray that showed nothing. They are a provider of our plan and sent a bill for over 300.00 for a bitewing xray. The parking lot is always empty and believe me there is a good reason for that. They better bill insurance because that is the only thing I agree too.

Fantastic experience: The team at Aspen Dental exceeded all of my expectations. I have been to Aspen 5 times in last 3 months to get a variety of work done and the staff are always good natured, welcoming, courteous, and even humorous! It truly is a judgement free office and they look to make the best out of your smile; whether you need a root canal, filling, crown, implant, or cleaning, they let you know that they are here for you. Cody, Denise, Shy, and Dr. Abraham were each great to work with!

Fantastic experience: From the front desk to the end of my appointment on 2/19 it was great experience. The staff were amazing especially Selina from the moment she took me back to X-rays from walking out the door. Lots of laughs and conversations and all around great people

Negative experience: They play with your time a lot. They schedule an appointment months in advance and send you a text message with the appointment date and time. Then the day before the appointment, they call and give you a different time to confirm and say their system shows something else, even though I always had proof of the correct time on my phone. This has happened to me more than once. Today they made me wait for an hour and a half. It wasted my time and was very disappointing. It is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful of patients time. This is the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. The manager responsible for these repeated scheduling issues should be held accountable, This level of disorganization and disregard for patients time is completely unacceptable! I’m changing to a different dental office and will never come back here again.

Negative experience: Went into aspen dental as a new patient wanting them do look at a damaged tooth. Ended up getting recommended for a complex root canal procedure that their office couldn't provide. They then said I could do a payment plan and that the procedures needed would covered by the care credit. Jokes on me! Aspen dental only used the care credit for the procedures they were yet to provide and charged me for the procedures before they were even close to being performed. I'm currently waiting for this refund to go through after being told last week they would have to wait for my insurance to issue the care credit refund. Also the bank used for care credit is NOT ACCREDITED BY THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! I would absolutely recommend finding a dental office in which all procedures can be provided and be on the same billing. I'm sure the people at Aspen dental are wonderful however this left a bad taste in my mouth and I plan on finding better options in the future.

Fantastic experience: Nice staff. Sutures removed although area was tender swiftly and pain free. Doctor put a solution on an area by new crown that was sensitive and if it doesn’t help, has a plan to help. Cleaning scheduled. All good. I used to have terrible anxiety about going to dentist which is now at a low level with a good clinic and staff.

Fantastic experience: I went to Aspen Dental in Minot ND to get Lower dentures as I already had the upper set done years ago. Not only were they professional and kind , but everything about my experience was positive. Yes, the final product took some time 8 months from extraction to permanent denture. But by following every one of their instructions and recommendations, I came away with the best smile I have ever had. Whenever I had an issue with my temp denture, they fit me in immediately to correct it. When something wasn't proper , they would redo it until it was which is what caused the length of time as the Dr. wanted the permanent set to be perfect. And they are. The staff is amazing. I cannot praise them enough from reception to billing to the dental team all are absolutely the best. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.

Negative experience: Wife had horrible tooth ache, we drove for 2 hrs to get in and as we walked in they canceled because they double booked. We told them it wasn’t our fault and they agreed to fit us in 4 hours later, got into exam room and then they said all they would do anyways was look at the tooth and schedule for later…..if you don’t mind a clown show, no empathy and a general waste of time and money go ahead enjoy the circus!!

Fantastic experience: I was amazed by the professional attention I received by the complete staff ... I have not been to a Dentist in a number of years ... these folks put me at ease ... I would highly recommend them.

Negative experience: Whomever the Dentist was 4 years ago at Aspen, I hear is no longer there. I really hope that is true. I am still experiencing crowns falling out to this day. He was very unprofessional and unsympathetic. I recall him trying to pry off my temps while I cried and tears running down my face. He then asked his assistant what they used for my temps. The assistant replied regular cement because they were out of the temp bond they usually use. This happen with all my temps. They all had to be drilled off. I really wished I would have gotten a second opinion or gone somewhere else. Nothing but issues since going to Aspen. I now have to go to another dentist to fix all my crowns that the former Dentist did at Aspen. Don't get me started on feeling pressured on taking out a 10k loan on the spot there too.

Fantastic experience: I went for a first time visit and they were really awesome. The staff listened to my experiences and even remembered my preferences too. It’s a clean workplace with great staff. I will be visiting again!

Negative experience: Absolute waste of my time. I went to get a very painful tooth pulled. First thing they want is to up sale x-rays. I just had them 6 less than months ago. After all that they tell me they can't pull my tooth today I will have to make an appointment.

Negative experience: They’re somewhat affordable but they couldn’t get me in for almost 2 months to get my chipped tooth fixed. They say your smile is important to them but they couldn’t squeeze me in sooner for a 45min appointment after I already paid for an exam, x rays and insurance that was only in network with them. They could have at least told me in advance how far their “filling” appointments went out. I have to go to work and be out in the community and refused to walk around with my teeth looking crazy. I luckily found a dentist who got me in the next day after I called and did an amazing job. They were 2 hours away but it was worth the drive. Thanks Aspen for wasting my time and money. I’m only leaving a review because ya’ll keep blowing my phone and email up saying “give us a review, tell us how we did” insane.

Fantastic experience: Had such a great experience here today! The dental hygienist Jackie was super nice and thorough in cleaning my teeth and the doctor was very nice as well. Even the lady that took x rays of my teeth was very nice. They even offered me a blanket while I got my teeth cleaned. Looking forward to going back again.

Fantastic experience: Let’s say I hate going to dentist because most of the time the staff don’t care but this was not the case here. Snap snap let me tell you by far best dental staff I have had in my life time. From the medical assistants up front and behind the scene. The x ray tech was amazing and the medical assistants just on point. Let me say I hate getting my annual cleaning done cause it always hurts but this lady is the queen of dental hygienist. She was so good I fell asleep yes that right. You read that correct I fell asleep during a deep deep cleaning!!! Down to the dentist listen to my goals and provided me options and not try to force me on things I didn’t need but educated me!!!! What unheard of!!!!!! The office manager her personality is awesome. She made me felt comfortable and explore my options and even help me secure a dental care loan that wasn’t covered by my insurance. It really shows if you care for your patient and listen to them and treat them like you care they will come back. No wonder they are booked out but it was definitely worth the wait!!!! 11/10 I would definitely recommend!!!! Thanks A.Flores

Negative experience: I came for an emergency tooth extraction my pain was a 10 when I called at 830 they told me I could come in at 230 for their open appointment at 330 they made sure to let me know i was just there for an exam then explained to me that they had to do an exam as I was a new patient, even though I had been here multiple times before and explained that to them all. the while I am setting here in pain about a 3 and now its after 4 and have yet to see the dentist also their equipment is gross and broken very unhealthy
