Fantastic experience: I’ve never been a big fan of the dentist for as long as I can remember, but SVDG has fixed that completely. The entire staff is not only friendly and helpful, but make sure you leave every time feeling better than when you walked in. I wish I could leave more than 5 stars!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hensen was recommended to me by 2 students at the school I work for and I wasn’t disappointed. The office is immaculate and the staff is friendly and efficient. April, the assistant couldn’t have been more knowledgeable, helpful and answered every question I had. I learned many valuable things about my own oral hygiene needs and even the structure of my mouth. I now have the best dentist in all of North Dakota, thanks to those 2 students!

Fantastic experience: I truly cannot say enough good things about Souris Valley Dental Group. My family all go here and we have never had a bad experience. The entire staff is always so friendly, welcoming, and professional from the moment you walk in the door. The receptionists are especially wonderful they always take the time to explain billing details clearly and go over every payment option without making you feel rushed or uncomfortable. Dr. Neil is amazing! He takes the time to thoroughly explain everything, never makes you feel rushed, and always asks if you have questions or concerns before you leave. He genuinely cares about his patients and made me feel very taken care of during a stressful dental issue. The office is clean, organized, and runs smoothly, and everyone there makes going to the dentist feel much less stressful. It’s hard to find a dental office where you consistently feel comfortable and respected every single visit, but this place truly does that. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dental office that is caring, honest, understanding, and great with families.

Fantastic experience: Ive been going to Dr. Jensen at Souris for 9 years, ever since I moved here. I've been to many dentists in my long life, but they have been one of the best ever. Both their front and back offiice support staff is always kind and considerate and Dr. Jensen has done wonderful work on my teeth as needed. I feel lucky to have found them when I moved here!!!

Fantastic experience: Have been going there for decades, although there’s been a change in my Dentist and I was fearful. My current one has absolutely shown himself to be wonderful as well. There are long term employees there and I for one appreciate that thank you!!!

Negative experience: I had an in-office teeth whitening done here and was very disappointed with the results. The treatment lasted about 40 minutes, but I experienced gum irritation afterward (including what looks like a burn) and significant tooth sensitivity. The whitening came out uneven—some areas look very white while others are still yellow, especially near the gums. Instead of improving my smile, it has actually left me feeling extremely insecure about how my teeth look. When I raised my concerns, I didn’t feel they were properly addressed. For over $500, I expected better results, proper gum protection, and clearer aftercare guidance.

Fantastic experience: I was in a car accident and needed to get my teeth looked at after. sVdG got me in promptly and were able to put my fears at ease. They were caring, gentle, and very reassuring with my care.

They were also very helpful when it came to explaining insurance and scheduling, which made the whole process stress-free. The dentist was equally amazing. Dr Neil was professional, kind, and clearly very experienced. He took the time to carefully examine everything and explain my dental health in a way that was easy to understand without ever feeling rushed. I really appreciated how he walked me through my options and focused on preventative care rather than just rushing through the appointment. It’s definitely clear why they’re voted the #1 dental office in Minot!

Fantastic experience: A mom and dad fail led to us bringing our 3 year old in for a cleaning and prep for a filling on her very first trip to the dentist. The staff were all incredibly patient. They took the time to make her feel comfortable and explain all of the procedures they were completing. They didn't make us feel guilty about why we were there but just supported us in the journey. Fantastic experience: A very first call & didn’t get the place I wanted to call, I got this place & I am skeptical about dentists & how when you call for an appointment for whatever you need done & how you are treated especially if you have to call back to verify for your own reasons of. First time I called, things were explained (I have dyslexia & I may not understand what is what, & what My mind perceived of what was said) in ways I was not understanding, the person did not laugh at me when I asked questions or think I asked questions on what she already said & knowing when you aren’t understanding what, a person can be short with you! But not the case. Yes you have to pay for a first visit payment of an amount (my work doesn’t provide insurance for employees, so no insurance) don’t know if it was because I didn’t have insurance or standard for all. I did make appointment payed fee, I got my email to do form or I could pick it up & bring it at appointment , a plus, I did call back to say I didn’t realize that I had called made appointment & paid fee & place was not who I was calling, the lady that answered phone was not same as I talked to before, she seemed rude like I was taking her away from something else & wanted me off the phone. A minus! I did fill out form & got to my appointment, & the assistant & dentist was great, explained things for understanding & was very understanding of my questions, yes I’ll be going back to them & I think it might be fate as to my mishap. The financial person who takes payment, she is good as well. Explained everything of what I needed to know. & that’s my first visit. I’ll be seeing what my second visit is like.
