Fantastic experience: Recently l made a long past-due appointment for an exam and cleaning with Mint Dental. Conner gave me a great cleaning and Dr. Mills a very thorough exam including all necessary x-rays. The front desk is professional and pleasant. It was my first visit but it definitely won’t be my last.

Fantastic experience: I appreciated taking the time for a plan. Every person in the office is amazing. I am so pleased with how they care about their patients. They are incredibly kind, understanding, personable and truly listen and genuinely care about their patient’s needs. I cannot express it enough how grateful I am to have such excellent care. Fantastic experience: I went in for my first visit to a dentist in quite awhile..have been reluctant mostly from embarrassment. Picked Mint from online reviews, and very happy I did..everyone was extremely welcoming, caring and very nice. Did not feel judged at all on my poor oral health and appearance. Dr. Mills was very informative and made me feel comfortable and excited about my dental plan..looking forward to working with Dr. Mills and the entire staff at Mint. Negative experience: If I can give them 0 I would they messed my mouth up and couldn’t fix it they made it seem like they could fix it the first appointment then tried to put me on other dentist that I would have to pay thousands for my right side has been throbbing and I called them crying just for them to act like they don’t care it got worse after I went to see them now they don’t wanna do what they said

The dentist was excellent as well explained everything to me . Stephanie walked me through what I needed done, why, and how the procedures we did would work. She was not only extremely knowledgeable but also eased my anxiety by being very comforting and validating. Dr. Mills and Marisa did an excellent job with my procedures and were a joy to work with. I chose this office based on reviews that they didn’t push unnecessary dental work, but also addressed any questions or concerns. I felt well taken care of and listened to by both of them. They explained everything thoroughly. There was work I could have done if I wanted, And I know they could’ve made me feel like I had to have it. I just appreciated that I had options that kept my teeth healthy and that there was no pressure to make any decisions today. Both are kind and have great chairside manners! Caring, compassionate with a good sense of humor. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: This practice is very professionally run. The hygienists are very friendly, they don't rush, and are very thorough with their work. Dr. Jensen is also always friendly and takes time to visit. Downside: The latest appointment they'll take is 3:00.

Negative experience: Made an appointment for a cleaning and check up. After they did the radiographs they informed me they couldn't do a cleaning that day and I would have to schedule an appointment to come back.

Negative experience: Mint Dental messed up about our insurance and they called a half hour before our appointment and cancelled on us until they get it fixed. Very frustrating time for us.

Negative experience: Front desk people are rude and don’t let you talk. And the nurses don’t know how to size a mouth and while taking X-rays she scrapped the inside of my mouth causing more issues.

Dr. Mills is a real asset to this practice. Negative experience: I hate to give a bad review especially since the office ladies are amazing! However I had a really disturbing experience last time I was here with the dental hygienist. I came in extreme pain to the point I wasn't eating or getting good sleep from a cavity FILING. Now imagine being gaslit and made feel bad for being in PAIN! She made unnecessary rude comments and at the end she looked at me in disgust and walked away...It was such a strange experience. She was a dark brunette and was pregnant at the time. However Dr.Yang did a great job in resolving the issue but I never plan to come here again just because they lack on giving after-care instructions and acted like nothing was wrong.

Fantastic experience: Hi there! I’m Stephen, and I’ve been a patient at Mint Dental with Dr. Mark Jensen for over a year. I have to say, he’s the best dentist I’ve ever had, and I’m 68! The whole staff is super friendly and professional, which makes every visit so pleasant. Dr. Mark really knows his stuff, and I’ve had a fantastic experience at Mint Dental.

Positive experience: Edit: 05/02/2025: I have been meaning to write a follow up review to my March review. I have to say the new office manager has made a positive MASSIVE difference in how this office is running compared to previously. I think what impressed me the most is the detailed detective work she did to track me down and do what she could to make my situation as right as she could. No prompting, and she went out of her way to do so. To me that level of genuine care and attention to fine detail among a large stack of patient charts screams volumes, and makes a huge difference. I personally feel that the office manager was easy to communicate with, and that she genuinely cares enough to solve a problem so long as she is respectfully made aware. I honestly felt very valued, and that my lifetime loyalty to this office means something which is not something easily said these days, and that in of itself says it all! I raise 2 extra stars from my original, and look forward to following up in the future. 03/2025 I adored Dr Jensen, and a little angry he didn't make mention he was leaving this site, but I had been seeing Dr. Jensen essentially since he graduated dental school, and his clinic was always on point. Since the change over there has been a lot of adjusting. I like Dr. Yang, he is a very nice man, and fairly skilled with his craft so I wanted to give a fair opportunity. However, what has made me not return is that a clinic I had been going to since the first day it opened all of the sudden no longer notifies you what insurance is covering prior to services rendered leaving you with an astronomical patient bill. I will no longer recommend their services, and am even extremely embarrassed and apologetic to the people I have as EVERY single person I have sent here now drives to Lee Summit to see Jensen. Dr. Yang has some big shoes to fill, but he should start with getting his office staff together because those kind of ball drops are unacceptable!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this dentist office for many years. I had never had any dental issues until recently. I had to have a bridge replaced after having a cavity found underneath it and just before leaving for a 3 month job assignment out of state. I was extremely anxious about the bridge work getting completed by the time I had to leave with having to get a color match, ordered, expedited and cemented back in. Dr. Ristow and the hygienist, Jessica, are amazing and did everything they could to make this happen and they put in all the time I needed to feel comfortable with the fit and the look of it, and all just in time for me to have to leave town. I’m so grateful for all the efforts and professionalism on their part and recommend anyone to get their dental needs fulfilled here. Thank you!!

I had some anxiety from a previous dental appointment at a different practice, but my experience here was completely different—much more in line with what I believe a dental visit should be. At my last appointment, I was told I had several problem areas, which scared me and made me anxious. I had always believed my retired family dentist was keeping my teeth in great shape. The dentist and dental hygienists at Mint Dental are helping me regain the confidence I used to have in my smile. If you ever encounter a dental office that seems sketchy, pressures you, or makes you feel bad—like when they claim to know you never floss—consider getting a second opinion. I trust this practice completely, and I will definitely be coming back and recommending them to my friends.
