Sheron Dental

Negative experience: Do not go to this dentist. 2 years ago I had a filling done at this clinic to fill a gap between my back molars. They completed the filling. My insurance shortly cut them from their list of approved dentists a few weeks after. A year later, I get a new dentist and they notice that the fill was improperly done (I have it in e-mail from Dr. Sheron himself admitting it was improperly completed) and that I would require a crown to fix the issue. I was informed that the fill was not properly flush with the face of the tooth, creating a small "pocket" that allowed food to fill in the space - greatly increasing the likelihood of forming a cavity. I reached out to Sheron Dental and he said he could not "see" a cavity from the xrays I sent him from my new dentist. I asked for him to make that statement in writing in a formal letter and he refused. He makes two contradictory statements. In an Email from 10/14/2025 at 11:13 am, he says "I agree there is an overhang, therefore the offer for the filling." No more than 5 minutes later in a a response email he says "An overhang can cause decay, I did not see any." Mind you, I took time out of my work week to come into their dental clinic to give them a chance to inspect my teeth personally instead of relying on another clinic's xrays. Dr. Sheron saw me but never inspected the tooth. Sheron dental's response was that they would refund the procedure to do the fill but would not help with the crown that is a result of their improper fill. Mind you, this is something on the order of like a $20 refund versus at least $1000 out of my own pocket to fix THEIR mistake. At this point, I was still in the clinic and asked to speak to Dr. Sheron again. I could see the staff speaking to him down the hall and him refusing to speak with me again. When I informed Dr. Sheron that I would then be seeking legal advice to see what avenues are available to me, he said I was "Threatening legal advice". Excuse me, how is seeking advice a threat? Stay away from this practice. I was told to my face by Dr. Sheron that he "takes great pride in his work" and he never once offered to fix the overhang - simply to refund the procedure. This is outrageous. How can you take great pride in your work and not even offer to fix your mistake? Edit 1: The clinic sure if fast to respond. And calling my long review "far from accurate" is gaslighting at best. "We took time out of our schedule at no cost to you to examine the work and talk at length about your options." As if I should be gracious that they took time out of their day to address a mistake they admitted to making. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and accept that the diagnosis Dr. Sheron was expressing in his later email may have been referring to the cavity and not the overhang. Besides that point - what part of my review was far from accurate? The refund amount? Forgive me if I wasn't insulted enough to remember the exact pitiful amount compared to the DAMAGE YOU HAVE CAUSED TO MY TEETH. You made me go back and have to review my notes to confirm the amount. It was a $98 refund ($98 to me and $112 back to my insurance ... whom I am no longer with). FORGIVE ME. If you had any real pride in your work - you would offer to fix your problem - even one of your staff asked if a repair to the filling was offered as an alternative to both the crown and the refund. If you were a plumber and your installation of plumbing flooded my house and you "stood by your work" - you wouldn't offer to just refund the cost of parts and installation and leave me with a water damaged home. You are ridiculous and I hope everyone reads this response. And here you are still willing to publicly say that there is no observed cavity and yet not willing to put it in a formal letter.

Negative experience: (Update to comment left by Sheron dental- if you try to make things right then why didn’t my dentist listen to me when I told him I was in discomfort after the root canal was done? I was told that’s the way it is and no solution or helpful suggestion was offered. Your comment is insincere.) I’ve been dealing with this root canal that was done by my former dentist at Sheron Dental 14 years ago. Today I am finally free of this painful food catching nightmare. When I originally started being seen at their practice the experience was great but over time it degraded. My mother continued to go there after I stopped and she agreed shortly after that the service was no longer good and she moved dental practices. From the time this root canal was done it was uncomfortable, caused my gums to recede away from the tooth, and caught food in the space between the crown and my gums every time I ate. When I complained to Sheron dental soon after the procedure, because it happened that immediately, they said that’s how it is and wouldn’t address my complaints. I was 21 back then so I’m sure it’s easy to write off someone they saw as a kid. I have sought advice from other dentists who told me that I keep it clean and there’s no decay so it’s better to leave it as it was then attempting to redo the crown. 14 years later this has resulted in an infected root canal and an enormous abscess spreading infection to my pallet and jaw. The tooth is now pulled and I’m glad it is. No more painful gum receding, no more food stuck in the gap, no more discomfort. I really wish Sheron Dental had tried to help me 14 years ago when I had originally complained versus writing me off.

Negative experience: 9/24/25: update since Sheron Dental replied to my review claiming they never lied... I will update my review with the details. You did lie. Your front office employee Rose stated that the ADA changed their regulations on how many halcion can be dispensed per dental appointment. She stated this would be the same no matter which dental office you go to since it was an ADA rule. With a quick google search, and then clarification from my prior employer (and current dentist) there are NO ADA rules, or changes, regarding how many halcion you can dispense per dental appt/treatment. Therefore the information given to us was a lie. Or a pretty big “mistake”. ———————————— Watch out for this office, they lie about ADA regulations which is an illegal, and dangerous game to play. I originally left this office a good review but have since deleted to write this one. There’s a lot of details leading up to how we got here, ending in the office lying about ADA regulations. (first issue being they never called in my partners prescription before they closed for the weekend because he needed to sign updated paperwork, but they never notified us of this. so how would we have known?? It’s not a patients job to know your paperwork policies). Since we couldn’t make the appt without the medication, we had to reschedule and they booked us months out. Which they refused to put us on a cancellation list. Medication was called in this time around however the dosage had changed but they gave us no heads up as to why. We called the office to find out why, and Rose stated the instructions of the medication had changed. When I asked what that meant, she was silent on the other line. My partner asked if she could talk to the Dr and ask for the normal dosage of the medication he is used to taking (which he took in their office at his last appt) and Rose called back and said the ADA changed their regulations on how much of this script could be dispensed for dental appointments, and this would be the same no matter what office we go to. As someone who has worked in the dental field for 10 years, this did not sound right. So I called my prior employer in the area, who is a dentist, and he claimed there is no such thing and no recent ADA changes and that is it probably just their office preferences they didn’t want to own up to. My partner called back to confront them, and they did change their tune since they were caught in a lie and said it wasn’t an ADA rule it was their office rule. They may not agree with the dosage, BUT THEY HAD PRESCRIBED IT BEFORE WITH NO ISSUES. but refused to do it again for someone with a severe dental phobia. Working in the dental field I’ve never seen an office so careless about a patient. And maybe they were holding it against us because we cancelled our last appt at the last min because they didn’t call in the script, for a reason we weren’t notified of. But ever since that incident they weren’t nice but I wanted to let it go cause we had a good chair-side experience. But my advice… don’t lie to patients and tell them ADA policies that aren’t real. I’ve worked in the dental field for a long time, which I told them on multiple occasions so I’m really surprised they lied to the wrong person. Glad though, hopefully this can hold them accountable and prevent them lying to other patients in the future who don’t know the field. “No, it is not legal for a dental office (or any healthcare provider) to knowingly lie about ADA (American Dental Association) regulations or any other professional guidelines, especially if it affects patient consent, treatment safety, or decision-making.” — this can be reported to Washington State Dental Board and/or ADA Ethics Division.

Fantastic experience: I’ll be honest — I’ve been around long enough to have had more dental appointments than I care to remember, and most of them were the kind that make you dread the next one. I don’t like going to the dentist. At all. But this was hands down the BEST dental experience I’ve ever had. Julie, the hygienist, is in a league of her own. I have never had my teeth cleaned so thoroughly — she got every last bit of the extra “goodies” hiding in there, but did it so carefully that I wasn’t wincing or gripping the chair for dear life. She even gave me some practical brushing tips that I’ll actually remember (and maybe even use!). Then there’s Dr. Chad. He removed a temporary filling from a crown and refilled it with such precision and care, you’d think he was restoring a priceless artifact instead of fixing an old tooth. He was particular, attentive, and downright outstanding. For someone like me, who has endured a long list of not-so-great dental encounters, finding a place like this feels like striking gold. If they can make me, a self-proclaimed dental skeptic, feel this comfortable and well cared for, then trust me — you’re in excellent hands.

Fantastic experience: I moved to Vancouver from Hawaii one year ago and have had bad luck with dentists. I felt like I was seen as a cash register. A colleague recommended Sheron Dental and I felt treated like a human being. Both my dentist (Dr. Chad) and the hygienist were friendly, extremely professional (as was the front office) and I was able to calm down and get things accomplished. Thank you Sheron Dental....I finally feel like I am in good hands.

Fantastic experience: We bring our whole family of 6 to Sheron Dental and we have never had a bad experience. Today though stood out more than others. Last night I had the most awful pain in my tooth and I emailed in because it was after hours and they called me back before they even opened the next day and they squeezed me in. That in itself was amazing but when I got there i was called back quickly and the hygienist who took care of me was the sweetest kindest most gentle lady ever! She made me so comfortable and talked me through what was going to happen and she was understanding that I was uncomfortable and didn’t treat me like I was just another number rolling though. For that I was so appreciative! Dr. Chad was also kind and wonderful and they got me all taken care of. If you’re looking for a dentist I cannot recommend them enough!!

Next morning I called the office and my dentist, Dr. Chad and Kellie (?) met me at the office. Yes, Saturday. In no time flat, that little cap was glued back on and I was on my way. Negative experience: went in in August to get pre-authorized for a night guard through my insurance before i moved out of state in October. i called multiple times to follow up and was told I would be called when my insurance authorized the night guard, but i never heard back before I moved. i called just to see what my options were and was told the pre-authorization request was never put through to my insurance in the first place. person i spoke to on the phone offered no apology and seemed annoyed that i called.

I felt hopeless that I wasn't going to be able to get my teeth fixed, but they provided a judgement free zone and put my fears at ease. They were very communicative of the entire process I would have to go through from cleanings to fillings. They made me feel comfortable at every step of the way. The whole staff was wonderful.

Fantastic experience: A terrific experience for a visit to a dentist. Dr. Chad Sheron was the first dentist I've used since moving to SW Washington. The initial evaluation and treatment plan was revelatory. I needed a lot of work to be done. On my next visit I was in the chair for 2 hours for several fillings and preparation for a crown to be installed. I was comfortable with the experience throughout, which was not always the case with former dentists where I previously lived. The staff are friendly and efficient and get to know you quickly. Fantastic experience: My wife and I have had our dental care at Sheron for twenty-five years and have never been disappointed in the quality, caring, and good humor with which the Doctors Sheron and their staff conduct their business. Today I went in with a broken 3rd molar (wisdom tooth). Dr. Chad inspected it carefully, took a couple of X-rays and said basically, "There's no matching top wisdom tooth, so this tooth doesn't help you chew. There's no sign of infection and the remaining filling seems intact. We can take it out or I can smooth it down so that it doesn't collect food and we'll call it good but monitor it." Faced with the choice of CERTAIN pain today versus a good chance that I'll never have a problem with it and if I do, well, same pain that day, I took Door #2. I now have a nicely smoothed stub of a tooth which I expect will last me the rest of my relatively few years. That's thinking outside the box, for sure, and an ethical thing to suggest. Highly recommended! [Four months later, at a cleaning appointment] Well, it's never bothered me, and my tongue is now satistifed that nothing untoward is going on over there, so Dr. Chad's wisdom has been ratified. Sheron Dental is world class. The hygenists are all very kind and thorough, and make sure to keep track of the patient's comfort. The whole staff are intelligent and have interesting things to talk about. Still "Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Sheron Dental for 30 years - that’s a lot of cleaning. And other stuff as well / crowns, fillings, etc. Family operation (now 2nd generation). The dentists / hygienists / front office all really care about your experience with their office. I happen to have Christy and Dr. Chad - both the BEST (in my mind) but I’ve heard good things about everyone at the office. Believe the ratings - if you’re looking for dental work; this is the place!

Fantastic experience: Sheron dental replaced a broken crown for me - I love their 3D dental imaging system for fitting a new crown - no more nasty imprints to be made! They also took great care that the new crown fit properly without leaving gaps for food to collect. On top of that, very friendly service and the bill was almost $400 less than the quote!

They take the time to answer your questions and explain everything throughly. Quality and thorough dental work, cleaning etc. Extra bonuses- retro arcade cabinet in the waiting room and TVs in the ceilings of the exam rooms!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for a few years now, I’ve only received cleanings and checkups, but they always do excellent work and appear to be quite honest. I’ve never been told I have to replace all my fillings or upsold on Invisalign or anything like that, just what is required and an honest opinion of my dental health and what to expect. The building and equipment is all modern too.

Received a crown recently and the fit was perfect and done quite quickly as well. Adam is the dentist. Nice guy. Answers your questions but is no nonsense in getting the job done quickly and efficiently. Pricing seems market value. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for a dentist.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience. Previous dentist retired where I had to travel to Portland (I'm now living in Vancouver). Researched and found Sheron Dental. A 'major' upgrade in environment and quality of staffing. First visit was stellar. Dentist and hygienist were excellent. Honestly the best service I've experienced. Yay!

Fantastic experience: I did not have a dentist in the area. I had a super painful dental issue. I called and was able to be seen same day. Staff was very friendly and caring. I was able to get the care I needed and did not feel judged for not being seen by a dentist in quite some time. Looking forward to seeing them for my future dental needs.

Fantastic experience: I just got my new crown this a.m. and I'm so pleased with the perfect results! Dr. Sheron offers exceptional customer service. The crown maker was there during my first visit to take photos, match teeth color samples, etc. The end result is the exact shade of 'cafe au lait.' Also, the numbing, the shot, the drilling, etc., was almost pain free! Dr. Sheron and all of his staff that I've dealt with are so professional, efficient, kind and patient with my anxieties!

Fantastic experience: I have been going here since I was 12 , I’m 58 now , and I have always enjoyed to the dentist , when we were little we told mom the other dentist hurt !Since that day back in the 70’s I’ve come here ever since ! Dr Sheron and to me the boys who are adults work on my teeth ,it’s been like family to me !!!!!! And still is !
