Fantastic experience: Responsive, attentive, and quality service provided. Had a dental issue emerge on Friday, called on Monday and was able to be seen same day. Appreciated the amount of information provided regarding the medical service needed.

Negative experience: The facts: I was an existing patient at Foothill Dental. I went in for a teeth cleaning as I have regularly done. I am not insured so I pay for all services. They refused to clean my teeth if I did not have X-rays. Pure and simple. I even specifically and clearly said to them “ so you are telling me I cannot have my teeth cleaned if I don’t allow you to do X-rays?” I had even already said I was not insured and had never (including in their office) been told teeth cleaning cannot be done without X-rays. They were very adamant about their “standard of care.” Just thought you should know so you can decide with all knowledge available whether you feel comfortable with their standard and what that will cost. If and when I had asked for some other kind of procedure, I believe I would have agreed to X-rays if they felt it prudent to get additional information. But for a teeth cleaning with no complaints from me about any adverse dental issues? I call that upselling.

Fantastic experience: I called with a minor problem and was able to be seen that same morning. After x-rays, Dr. David was able to diagnosis my problem and took care of it immediately. Everyone that I’ve met in this office is extremely professional and personable so it’s almost fun to visit the dentist!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely LOVE this office and the doctors and staff! It's so nice to go to the dentist and feel like you are their most important patient- that's exactly how I feel each time I go in for treatment. My cleanings are always very thorough and and the hygienists are so gentle. They took extra care while I'm was going through chemotherapy treatments, to not cause bleeding and gave me tons of tips to help keep my teeth strong and healthy during treatment. Dr. Stohl even called my husband to check up on me after I started chemo. I was so touched. The spa treatments are just icing on the cake.

The care they practice to evaluate and discuss full care needs and no pressure to sign up for quick money making fixes that are not needed and/or are not in my best interest was very much appreciated today! Fantastic experience: Favorite dentist(s) and dentist office ever! Everyone is kind, communicative and down-to-earth. Even when they've had a months-long wait for appointments, they've gotten us in fast for urgent matters. For less-urgent situations, they have a cancellation list they monitor daily and do a fantastic job of communicating about availability until things are scheduled. They're also great about dealing with insurance, and clearly explaining what's covered/what things will cost.

Negative experience: This place diagnosed and told me I needed two crowns. I went to a different dentist. I don’t need any crowns. They don’t see any issues and they think that’s bizarre that someone would’ve told me that.!!! Beware of the dentistry there’s a lot of bad reviews on their yelp page about this and it’s obviously true. Do not go here.!!!!

Fantastic experience: I had a crown installed the other day. Matt did a great job as did his assistant whose name I failed to get. Much better crown job than I had done on another tooth at a different dentist in Utah when Matt was out of town. Very happy with the process and the outcome.

Fantastic experience: Dr David Stohl and assistant were terrific! This was my first visit to his office because of a broken molar. He performed the same day crown procedure and did a great job! I was a dentist for 20 years in California, so I consider myself a pretty good judge of what it takes to be a good dentist and I can say that Dr Stohl is a really good dentist.

Positive experience: As usual, the services were excellent, everyone was professional and thorough. The only glitch was in making the appointment. I was given my choice of two days, and I selected one of them in my return message. Unfortunately, no one there confirmed this, and I showed up on the wrong day and had to make two trips and find a babysitter twice.

Fantastic experience: They got me in the same day I called for a cleaning, staff was upfront about pricing and my insurance coverage which took a big mental load off coming in somewhere new. The office itself is very cozy and clean, everyone was super helpful and friendly, the dentist and hygienist thoroughly discussed my questions with me and I feel better equipped to take care of my teeth! Fantastic experience: I especially liked the oscillating calculus removal tool. It’s much quicker & less invasive than scraping with a dental pick. The actions of the staff, from x-rays to cleaning to Dr. Stolls exam were well coordinated & efficient, almost to the point of being choreographed. It was a surprisingly good experience. (never thought I’d say that about a trip to the dentist).

Positive experience: Great staff. Flexible scheduling, able to get you in off their cancellation list. I have to admit that I first joined because of the “spa like experience” with cool eye mask and wax dip for your hands. That disappeared with COVID and it would be a nice perk if they brought it back.

Fantastic experience: Cracked a molar last Friday afternoon and they got me in first thing Monday morning. Fantastic staff. Kind, gentle and quickly realized the tooth had to be removed. Got me to an oral surgeon a few hours later, and I was home for dinner. This is a great team that I cannot recommend more highly. Thx!

Fantastic experience: We’ve been going to Foothill dental since 2008 even after moving further away. The reason: billing! Anytime there’s an issue with insurance, the billing staff goes above and beyond to take of it FOR you. Even the dentists are great at getting on insurance calls to fight for you. Don’t go anywhere else!! It’s also very convenient if you work at the U/research park.

Fantastic experience: 3,000 miles away from home & my temporary crown is dislodged & ejected. Call my son-in-law's dentist in a panic & they squeeze me in that morning. Everyone is more than charming & efficient, having everything back in place more securely than before & me out the door in what felt like less than half-an-hour.
