Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. This was my favorite dentist experience ever. I was amazed at how well they took care of me. I told them I was leaving the country soon, but they didn’t have any openings before then. So they kept me in the loop on cancellations and worked me in. When you arrive, they give you tour of the whole place and then give you a dry erase board with a long list of amenities so you can select what you want to make you more comfortable. Incredible service. Addison, the dental hygienist, was so patient and kind and did an amazing job. Dr. Hillstrom actually took time to get to know me and answer my questions. From the first call to the end of the visit, I felt like a queen. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I had yesterday on November 6 , 2025 a very embarrassing and unpleasant experience with the office manager. She never even introduced herself before accusing me of owing them over $1,000 — which was completely incorrect. I immediately tried to explain that I had already paid in November 2024 for my two dental crowns, but she kept repeating that there was no record of any payment. This all happened in front of other patients, which was humiliating and stressful, especially knowing I was right. At one point, I mentioned that I had just paid $5,000 for an upcoming surgery, and her response was, “Oh, congratulations.” I found that comment incredibly insensitive and unprofessional, given the seriousness of my situation. I said is nothing to congratulate me for a mayor back surgery, and she responded oh well my husband has one of those . Eventually, I told her to call me once she had proper documentation showing that I owed anything and left the office. About twenty minutes later, I received a call from Stacy letting me know that it had been a mistake and that I didn’t owe anything after all. The least the manager could have done was to call me herself and apologize for her behavior. Because of this experience, I will never return to this office. No patient should have to deal with that level of disrespect or lack of professionalism.

Fantastic experience: I fell in love in 2015. It was the day before thanksgiving and my tooth was hurting terribly. They were open, professional, prompt and exactly what the Dr ordered. When I tell you that nothing has changed but the address since then??? You gotta check them out. The staff is A1 and guess why?? Cause the providers are too. I love it there!!!

Fantastic experience: So glad I found this place! I am the WORST dental patient due to gagging. The whole office went out of their way to make it as pleasant as possible. Dr Ross did an amazing job on my root canal, extraction/bone graph and cavaties…all in one visit! (Of course I was out with IV sedation though ) HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place for all dental needs.

Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience at North Texas Dental Associates in Plano! From start to finish, Carolise (spell check) was incredibly welcoming and kind… she made me feel completely at ease. Her warmth and attention to detail truly stood out, and she provided exceptional care throughout my visit. Dr. Ross was equally amazing… calm, gentle, and professional. During my extraction, both he and Carolise made sure I was comfortable every step of the way, checking in often and explaining everything clearly. It’s rare to find a dental team that combines skill with genuine compassion, but they absolutely do. I left feeling well cared for and grateful. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Final Update: I ended up switching to a different dental provider, because there was so much back and forth with VA Community Care stating they faxed authorizations multiple times and North Texas Dental Associates stating they have received nothing and needed to cancel appointments again and again. Personally, not worth all the wasted hold time, which could’ve been spent more productively or having multiple appointments cancelled on short notice. Update: I genuinely appreciate the new office manager. She is grounded and level headed with open dialogue. Conversation is easy and she is willing to do a group calls to speak with the VA Community Care personnel to resolve referral numbers in a cordial manner. The VA can be quirky sometimes, but her working with them to learn and resolve issues is appreciated. Initial: I was leery about seeing a new dentist after 2 decades, but I had a fantastic experience from the get-go with everyone at North Texas Dental Associates. My referral came through the Veterans Administration, specifically, the Dallas VA Dental Clinic, which I had never used prior. The coordinator called right away & sent over proper forms so I could complete them ahead of time online and had me scheduled for an appointment, which was later moved up by a full week. Tracy, who is the coordinator for veterans at the office has been very informative and kept on top of everything from my initial treatment to my ongoing treatment plan, which included two crowns, a root canal and 2 fillings. All was approved by the VA Dental Team and taken care of within 2 weeks of my initial cleaning and consult visit. Tracy submitted with follow-ups and I maintained daily follow-up inquires with the VA in a coordinated team like manner. Dr. Ross is a very pleasant and meticulous man, which I appreciated and felt truly cared for by he and all of his staff members from check-in, to cleaning, to treatment and finally office personnel for all other details. I’m looking forward to my new crowns in approximately three weeks and celebrating with a steak afterwards. I could not be more pleased with my overall experience and fully recommend North Texas Dental Associates to all other Veterans.

Fantastic experience: If I had one piece of advice it is to make NTDA your dental office. After having almost no access to dental care in over 10 years and a bad experience with my last dentist, I was worried about finding an office. To be honest, I am very picky when it comes to dental and healthcare. However, this place absolutely exceeded my expectations. Some of my favorite things about this office were: The staff was SO friendly, The place is absolutely beautiful and clean, There was literally no wait time, The dental hygienist was a sweetie and did a fantastic job, The dentist was just as wonderful, The price was super affordable, AND THEY HAVE MASSAGE CHAIRS! This experience was 10/10 and I have finally found my dental office home! Thanks Kim, Deneen, Dr. Ross, and the rest of the staff for being so good to me.

Positive experience: Kim did a great cleaning and with taking my annual X-rays. Got in timely for my appointment. Office was busy but very organized. Glad to see Dr H briefly. Found an early cavity that will be addressed in a couple of weeks. Office personnel were friendly, prompt and efficient in scheduling and billing activities. 05/06/2025-Dr Hillstrom was great again. Assistant made several miscues. 1) Deaden the wrong tooth. 2) Picked out the wrong color to match my teeth. 3) was not a big deal but seems a bit nervous thus making me a little nervous. 4) Blood pressure read 189/107. Not a correct reading but was not redone.

Negative experience: The roughness from her during my cleaning made me feel pain and discomfort due to the pressure. She didn't make me feel comfortable because she's not gentle.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best dental practice around!! From their “menus” at the beginning of the appointment to their incredibly kind hygienists to the amazing dentists (we’ve seen both), my whole family loves going to North Texas Dental!

Fantastic experience: Best dentist I have been to in many years. Very customer focused. They work hard to put you at ease, and unlike most dentists, they don’t scold you or make you feel uncomfortable after you admit that you don’t floss every day! lol. Because most of us don’t.

Negative experience: The one thing I dislike about this office is when they quote you pricing they try to scare you into doing work as soon as possible or I’ll end up with more extreme issues. Like I don’t have the common sense to realize it. It’s degrading. I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be using them.

Fantastic experience: Everyone in the office is very kind and helpful. I had Kim for my hygienist and was very thankful for her! I absolutely hate getting any work on my teeth, but she made everything a breeze and I have no complaints. Insurance through the military is such a struggle and I’m so sorry for them having to deal with that part, but even the amazing woman up front (didn’t get her name unfortunately) was amazing and still worked through those kinks to make sure everything was there! Once I was done with my cleaning I met with Dr. Ross and he walks you through anything else that is needed! Once again, I can’t thank any of you enough for the help today and will not go anywhere else!

Negative experience: Warning to all VA members sent to this office. Check all consults received from this Dental office. Check with your VA Dentist before getting anything done to your teeth. There were some inconsistencies on treatment from this Dental office. I brought these inconsistencies to their attention and they begin to avoid treating me. I have a great Endodontist and General Dentist that have the same observations and treatment for my teeth. Most of the staff were great. Angela was the Hygienist that cleaned my teeth, she was the best I ever had.

Negative experience: This is my second time coming and off to a bad start it got a called that my deep cleaning was approved and then got scheduled to go in, I get there on time and I see no one in the waiting area then there's people walking in 5 min after me and getting called in almost 30 min past my scheduled time I get called and I am being told they are checking if I have my deep cleaning approved waited for them to find out that I wasn't what a waste of my time...

The waiting area was clean and comfortable, and I was seen promptly at my appointment time. Linsey was my hygienist and Dr A was did my exam. They were both fantastic- thorough, gentle, and really took the time to explain everything to me. The whole team made sure I felt at ease, and I loved the tour around the office. Negative experience: Staff was amazing but dentists and lab personel not worth a dime.I have been dealing with them yr and a half went for finals finally yesterday and can't even eat with them .The bite has never been made right .The teeth are horrible not even wide enough for my mouth.i would not recommend you waste your money or valuable time.i had to go back 42 times with broken teeth before finals and i have a baggie full of broken teeth to prove it and they aren't any better so if you want to throw your money out the window dont do it.im being 100 % honest with you

Fantastic experience: Drs. Ross, Hillstrom, and staff (Today Ismael was such a hospitable and kind assistant!) are the best! Listened to my teeth woes and stories about my life. Even laughed and said I was funny and the staff said I looked great! Well, yeah!! So knowledgeable and patient. Equipment obviously top-notch. You want the best in all areas, go here!

Fantastic experience: What can I say about my experience with North Texas Dental other than WOW!! I was treated as if I have been going to their office for years. I was a new patient and I believe I have found home dentist office. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Angie and Dr. Hillstrom took care of me and made me feel important, as I was the only one in the office and their knowledge was incredible. Their bedside manners were out of this world. Angie even knew my childhood dentist and orthodontic doctor just from the area I was from. Even when there was a insurance hiccup, they still made sure that I was taken care of. I have had some bad experiences in the past with other dental offices, but NTDA showed me that there was still great dental office practices out there. I highly recommend this office. Don't think you would be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I just had my fourth visit at North Texas Dental Associates and their care is next level! Niecy & Gabriella are fantastic dental assistants and Dr. Ross has the most gentle hands! I no longer have anxiety before going to the dentist, because I know I will always be in good hands! 10/10 for service, customer care, communication, cleanliness and reception! From the moment I spoke to them on the phone, to when I first walked through the door…the experience was unparalleled to any other dental appointment I’ve ever had. They took exceptional care of me, especially Ms.Angie, the dental hygienist!! She was so patient with me and worked her special calming magic to help ease my very severe nerves I had. She talked me through each step and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I actually cannot wait to go back and see her in 3 months! She is one of the sweetest souls I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Also, Ms. Tracie and Ms. Tonie were fantastic in every way and were very helpful at answering all of my questions and walking me through the process from start to finish while being so kind the entire time. You can tell that everyone here actually loves their jobs and are so passionate about patient care. Everyone go here!!!

Fantastic experience: What an amazing experience! I have tried several dentist in Plano and this is by far the best. I had Angie as my hygienist and she made it such an enjoyable experience. The dentists were all so friendly and welcoming. They also gave me honest (not money focused) advice on cosmetics which I did not get from prior dentists. The other dentist's I have talked to in the area about cosmetics immediately just offered the most expensive option. I am so glad I got several opinions and landed on this one!!

Fantastic experience: The entire team at North Texas Dental Associates makes the experience so smooth and relaxing. The entire staff is always in such great spirits. My second to last visit I had just received difficult news the day before… Angie, my dental hygienist, made my day just by bringing her kind heart and upbeat personality to my appointment. Fantastic experience: I'm not typically one to leave reviews for anything but this place was definitely deserving of it. I've always been reluctant to visit dentist offices and I was very long overdue for an exam and cleaning. NTDA was a 5 star experience from beginning to end. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming and did everything that could be done to make me feel comfortable. The hygienist Sylvia was excellent at her job and made having a DEEP cleaning as pleasant of an experience as it could be. I can't say enough about this place and everyone there. Would highly recommend.

Positive experience: I went today for the first time for a general checkup. The dental hygienist Sylvia recommended deep cleaning and the treatment coordinator Trent came up with the cost sheet explaining me the full cost for entire procedure including toothbrush, mouthwash, next visit charges and periodontal maintenance for next three months. I accepted the amount but after cleaning left side of my mouth (right side would be cleaned in next session) Sylvia said that they have made a mistake and the amount would be double of what they have presented. So the cleaning that too without any anesthetic use after deducting Dental PPO insurance would cost me more than $550 out of pocket. Had they presented the "correct" amount I would have made the decision accordingly to go or not go for the cleaning. If you are looking for a dental cleaning go elsewhere, its not worth the price. Also, It was communicated to me earlier that to book an appointment, they would need a security deposit of $50 on my credit card that would be adjusted against the charges (due to a previous missed appointment). However, I realized that they had charged $100 on my credit card and did not adjust that amount. I feel cheated and am highly disappointed with them going back on their words. Would not recommend this place. I am now waiting for a call on Monday from their coordinator for grievances redressal. Update: The charges on my credit card was adjusted against the cleaning cost. The final total cost out of pocket for me is over 400. The service was overall good. Revising the rating stars for the overall service.

Fantastic experience: Shout out to my dentistry! They are absolutely amazing! Today was the 1st time IN MY ENTIRE LIFE that x-rays didn't make me cry. (Thank you, Ms. Ava, if I remeber her name correctly) I have manidbular tori and taking those x-rays.... whatever they put in your mouth... they just cut into me. Not here though. I have been seen by both doctors here as well as a fill in and they have all been amazing. Their techs are just exemplar. The desk is so welcoming and they are interested in you (and will listen to my stories without rushing you off, lol) Best dentistry I have ever been to for sure!

Fantastic experience: North Texas Dental is truly the Ritz-Carlton of dental practices. Everyone was cheerful and glad to see me. My appointment started with my hygienist, Angie, greeting me and giving me a tour of the facilities. Every person waved and said hello. The cleaning and xray process was incredibly thorough, and Dr. Ross was professional and explanatory (and nicely humorous). The practice is state of the art and almost seems luxurious. And I'm really pleased with the annual treatment plan that comes with a discount on other needed services. I've already booked an appointment for my husband!

Fantastic experience: Let me start off and say that I’m scared of dentists due to some unfortunate experiences I’ve had long time ago. Over 10 years ago I went to this office and spoke with Dr. Hillstrom who has gone above and beyond ever since then to make sure I feel comfortable with everything. This morning Dr. Hillstrom did root canal on one of my teeth and besides jaw discomfort due to having my mouth open for about 90 minutes I haven’t felt anything else. No pain whatsoever. His assistant Faith was very attentive and had excellent bedside manner. Their office is always clean and staff is top notch. Considering high quality work they do I think their prices are great. I would highly recommend Dr. Hillstrom and North Texas Dental Associates to anyone in need of dentist.

Fantastic experience: This practice is elegant yet reasonably priced. Their tools are state of the art. The doctor and staff are exceptional. I had to have more work done than I had anticipated but they made me comfortable and did an outstanding job.

Fantastic experience: I appreciate so much that North Texas Dental Associates was able to work me in quickly when my crown cracked. Their staff are so nice. They gave me helpful tips on caring for my temporary crown. They made sure I was comfortable throughout the process.

Negative experience: I had a tooth break around at the end of May, 2023, so I called NTDA to set up an appointment. The appointment they made was for a general teeth cleaning, including X-Rays. I was told what was recommended and what the plan will be. I could not afford the root canal and crown and was plain about it. I knew it was the high dollar plan or to have it pulled. My budget was the ‘pull it’ plan. The tooth was finally pulled July 31, 2023 with the crown still being pushed. I have some small cavities that need work, but, again, lack of money. Today I get a call saying I need to schedule time to have a crown on another tooth. This was news to me. I was not given ‘post-op’ instructions, nor was I contacted asking my condition. Everyone I met is very nice, but the new ‘plan’ feels like a shake-down. I received a very nice apology from the practice on 8-15-23. It was appreciated.

Fantastic experience: The staff is great, very friendly all around…front desk, hygiene staff, dentist. The building is a nice setup…Nice waiting room, nice exam rooms. The extra touch is offering snacks and things to make the exam comfortable. Finally, I appreciate that they do not push a bunch of extra dental work just so they can get the money.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at North Texas Dental Associates is great. Dr. Hillstrom makes you feel welcome and his staff is great. Fortunately I haven’t needed anything more than cleanings, but they make that a breeze. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I have a huge dental anxiety and have procrastinated this visit for way longer than I should have. I had the best dental hygienist (not sure how to spell her name) she was top tier. Dr Hillstrom was great too. 10/10 experience and I was comfortable the entire time.

Fantastic experience: I needed to get into a dentist ASAP and they were so accommodating they were able to see me in the same day! Now I’m on the way to having my issue addressed. The staff are so nice and Dr. Ross was great at explaining what my next steps are. 5/5 stars!

Negative experience: I have posted a review three times and they have deleted my review all three times. Dr. Ross was my doctor and he did not tell me for a year about all my issues that were going on. He infact took a call and prioritize the issues on my behalf without discussing with me and kept pushing the crown for a year on me instead of telling me that my other teeth need medical attention. I have reported there malpractice to medical board and found myself a better better who discuss my plans with me and doesn’t treat me like I am a child who can’t take control of her health. Worst was dr Ross gaslighting me by telling me that he remembers what he told me a year ago, okay sure you remember what you tell every patient in 2-5 mins you spend in them

Fantastic experience: I had a great first experience here. The hygienist and dentist I interacted with both had great bedside manner. The facility is bright and cozy and they have thought of just about everything they can offer patients to make us comfortable during the visit. I recently moved to TX and I’m glad I found this dental group!

Fantastic experience: Dr Hillstrom is a delight...and a wonderful Dentist. Absolutely the best bedside manner for a Doctor I have ever experienced. A jewell! The office staff is also top-notch. Everything from the introduction to the office (beautiful atmosphere), the boutique services (thats my first experience of being a queen), to fee explanations and insurance options. Outstanding! My experience with Jeannette, the hygenioust, was awesome.. what a sweet soul she is. 100% satisfied from start to finish.. I felt like singing and dancing when I left, but feared after they experienced such reaction they would call the luney wagon to fetch me.. In all seriousness, I highly recommend NTDA... Positive experience: The care and compassion from the doctor and hygienist was fabulous. Truly. Only complaint as of yet is there was an error in getting me my antibiotics. I was supposed to have my prescription called in but did not happen. I have gone all weekend and two days with an abscessing broken tooth with no help. Calling and driving to various local pharmacies all weekend to find out where it was called in proved to be of no help. Called in today on Monday to hear from them that they gave me a handwritten script when actually they did not. Only a receipt and care plan estimate. So...cool. What's another day I guess. But thank you for the new patient key chain and necklace. I'm sure it will get corrected but today pain and irritability won. Tomorrow will be better.

While the spa type feel, very friendly staff (Ismael and Brooke DEFINITELY make it a memorable experience!), fantastic two steppin country music and up to date equipment play an important role, Dr Ross is the #1 reason that I can give this review a five star rating. I have never felt so comfortable with dental work as I have coming to see Dr Ross. His bedside manner, constant concern for my comfort during every single procedure, understanding nature and communication about each dental procedure, makes NTX Dental Associates a top tier experience. Fantastic experience: Suzette the dental hygienist was very through and educated me on the best way to floss. Dr. Hillstrom checked my mouth as part of my follow up visit and spent time speaking to me about teeth whitening options. I have sensitivity and he took the time to listen to my concerns. I really am glad we changed to this dental practice. The entire office is very professional.

Fantastic experience: This is Tyra Williams by the way…lol Today was my first time visiting this office. From the time I walked in the door till the time I left the staff was beyond Amazing. The young lady who brought me back was amazing! The doctor was cute too!! The doctor was amazing. This staff really cares about the patients and it shows. Fantastic experience: My son had a filling from another place that had come out. They got us right in to fix his sensitive tooth the same day. They made sure he was very comfortable. They had headphones so he could listen to his favorite netflix show and was able to watch it on the tv on the ceiling to distract him from the sounds of the dental tools. Dr Ross is amazing and so calm and encouraging with my kids. My husband has also seen him for my husband and he had many ideas to help with his situation and got his teeth looking so nice for our sons wedding. Dr Hillstrom and Dr Ross are very impressive and care so much for our families dental needs. The front desk were also so kind and helpful with explaining fees for service ahead of time.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff was super friendly. They went out of their way to introduce everyone, and give a tour of the office, which was v an amazing first impression. The dentist and hygienist explained everything along the way. All of the staff also tried to make my visit as comfortable as possible. 10/10 would recommend.

CiCi who works the front desk is such a welcoming face and creates such a welcoming environment. Always o friendly and they make sure you are very comfortable during the whole proccess.

The place is clean, and the staff seem to have caring attitudes. It is a better experience from many other dental providers. I MISS YOU!!!! I moved too far away. Fantastic experience: Wonderful! I have been 6 times for cleaning and have had great experiences each time. The care by both the doctors and hygienists is superb. In my consulting work, I frequently reference their office when referring to professional offices who exhibit service excellence. I refer all my friends and associates looking for a fantastic dental team. Had a filling repaired and Dr. Hillstrom went the extra mile and took time to make it perfect. When the numbing wore off I didn’t have any sensitivity afterwards. So grateful!

Negative experience: I've been coming here since I moved to the area and I love both dentists, the hygienists and most of the office staff. After my cleaning, I went to pay my bill and discuss the next thing I needed to have done. Dr. Hillstrom did not pressure me to come back he said it was up to me. When I went to pay the biller, Tracy was extremely pushy and wanted to make my appointment as soon as possible. My next dental appointment is expensive, even after insurance and I cannot afford to pay anything right now. And of course the bill was a different amount than what was quoted last time and she made me sign the treatment plan. Money is VERY tight so I told her I can't afford to make an appointment. She said well all we ask for is 50%. Um I can't afford that either. I gave her a month that I MIGHT be able to afford it, days of the week I'm off work and she assumed the day SHE chose for me was good. She hands me the card and asks for the 50%. I can't afford it like I told her a few times. She said well I will call you tomorrow for the card number. Um no. I will cancel for now and just make the appointment for when I can afford it. If it wasn't for the dentists and the rest of the staff I would change offices. I left the office thinking does she work on commission, does she get a bonus. I'm disappointed. Not sure if the office reads the reviews but I can't be the only one living paycheck to paycheck.

Fantastic experience: After 45 years of going to the same dentist he decided to finally retire this past year. I received a postcard advertising North Texas Dental Associates and I decided to schedule a meeting to see the practice. Upon arriving I was greeted by the sweetest office coordinator who gave us a tour of the office. The office was immaculate with all state of the art equipment. I scheduled an appointment for my cleaning and initial visit which was done today. I loved how thorough the hygienist was and Dr. Ross, one of the dentists, was incredibly nice and made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend this practice! If there was another star to give it I would! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After having had a previous experience that was not ideal and the fact that I have LOTS of anxiety about going to the dentist. After the very first visit, I have become an advocate. Dr. Hillstrom and his staff (Cece and Devonte) are so caring and thoughtful. They went above and beyond to make my first visit comfortable and they took great care and pride to ensure I was well taken care of before and after my visit. By far the best dental experience I’ve ever had in a long time! . Highly recommended North Texas Dental Associates and Dr. Hillstrom and his team!

Negative experience: Billing department will say they will correct issues and admit that you do not owe anything but then continue to bill you several months later with no itemization just amount due. I went to NTDA in 2021 in May I had teeth whitening done and filings in April 2021. I paid the amount due at the time of service. I received incorrect bills 4 times and I called billing department 3 times and all 3 times they said it would be resolved but they now sent me a 4th bill in March of 2022. They do not provide an email to correspond with so no written communication trail available. I would like to get this bill resolved with confirmation in writing from NTDA. Otherwise clean and friendly place but have went to another dentist due to billing issue.

Fantastic experience: The staff, hygienist were very friendly and helpful. They explained things clearly and answered my questions. The hygienist cleaned my teeth very well without pain. Dr Hailstrom does not pressure one into having any procedure done. He suggested that I try things that would help my sensitivity before trying to explore more drastic, expensive measures. I highly recommend this dentist!

Fantastic experience: My kids and I went in for cleanings today. The hygienists were fantastic and the environment is very welcoming and cozy - yes a cozy dentist office! The front staff was so helpful with questions we had - Da'Vonte and Tracy went above and beyond to help us set something up for Wisdom Teeth removal for my teenage son. Really, I couldn't have been more grateful for their help. We felt very cared for!
